All Ages Records

All Ages Records is the best record shop in London. Last January, I visited the city for a romantic weekend getaway, and it was unthinkable for me not to rummage through bins filled with records. After a few recommendations from friends, All Ages Records made it onto my shortlist. I finally went there on the first night and came out with a record by Defeater, one by Pianos Become the Teeth and one by Knocked Loose. The staff are passionate and engaging, happy to make recommendations based on our selection and also promoting local bands. They have a very comprehensive selection, covering both old school and modern hardcore and all possible derivatives. I can't wait to go back and chat to them about my upcoming gigs.

A must-visit record shop if you’re interested in punk/metal. It has the best selection of music in various formats, and a fantastic choice of t-shirts, bags, badges, books etc too. We visited from Ireland and would’ve bought a lot more if we weren’t getting back on a plane. London punks are so lucky to have this on their doorstep. The owner wasn’t working when we were there, but we got chatting to the guy who served us, and he couldn’t have been more friendly and knowledgeable if he’d tried; he’s exactly who you want working in your punk shop. It took us seven years to return after our first visit, and I’m hoping it won’t be as long until the next.

Punk, Hardcore paradise. If I ever hit Eurojackpot I will buy this place and live happy life. Everything is super organized, local records have a sticker with description. Rare records, colors, music playing and lot of information about shows around. The star is employee Archie, had a one of nicest chat about scene and records in a while. This is UK version of Core-Tex record store in Berlin. Go there if you like this kind of music.

Really impressed with this place, what an amazing selection of music and some clothes / accessories. The guy at the desk was really cool and knowledgeable...and I found a forgotten classic to take back home to Glasgow. Thank you, I'll look forward to coming back. Paul

Shop is amazing with some really killer records. I was in town on holiday and appreciate local section, as I wanted to get some records I couldn't back home. This one caught my eye, and the folks there talked me into getting a second record after giving me more info on this band. Man am I glad I listened! This is a great band I would not have found otherwise.

A friend brought me here while I was visiting from the US and I had a great time. Not only is the selection great, but the guy who worked there was so knowledgeable and passionate that I happily left with more records than I'd planned to buy and got some great recommendations. Will definitely be back.

Very cool shop and very helpful and friendly personel. Shop is epecially suited for heavier and more alternative Music. Great selection of vinyl and merch and Their patches and pins collection is also definitely worth checking out. 6 out of 5! Keep rocking!

Haven't thought of this place in years but it just popped in my mind so wanted to leave a review. Spent a week in London in 2010 and felt I needed to seek out something punk while I was there. Left my group that I was with and took off to the other side of the city and found this place. It was perfect. Spent a bunch of time talking to the staff and some other patrons about punk in the US and the UK and got some great local recommendations from them (though wish someone had recommended Frank Turner to me then - I was practically on his doorstep and now I love him lol). Would love to come back and explore again.

Someone just told me about All Ages so this was the first time I've visited on my many trips to London. So glad I know about it, perfect place for those who like punk, hardcore and garage. The fact that you can see a Snazzy Boys poster in the photo says it all for me. Found a nice sale bin of 7"s that were buy 2 get 1 free, can't beat that. A good stop after you hit the market (or before).

This was allrrrrright.. not to much Vintage Punk Vinyl to find here .. More new Hardcore stuff, lots of Oi and Nu Punk.. Less (Proto) Punk, Post Punk, Garage and next to NO Riot grrrl Vinyl. Good little metal pin and DIY section (CRASS etc) patches&shirts the owner prints himself.. Lots of concert posters and info´s to local punk shows, which is good. Not to helpful though, maybe he had a bad day or he is just a grumpy old punk, which is Oi okay as well. Verdict: a cultural institution : YES! a must : Sure, always support your local Record Dealer!

This is exactly what I expected a record store to be like. Cool music playing, loud enough to hear but not so loud you can't hear the shopkeeper. Rows and rows of neatly stacked records some sections for particular genre other area just in alphabetical order for band name. Small section of cd's but vinyl everywhere else. They have a small rack of t-shirts and a collection of band pins too. The rest of the available wall space is covered in band clippings/posters. I went there with a cool punk rock fan friend who was over from Oz visiting and they were just a little excited about seeing what this store had to offer Cool vibe, cool store

This place is awesome! A truly independent record shop. If you are a fan of hardcore, metal, punk, noise etc.. this is the place for you. Great selection, excellent prices and a very chill atmosphere. They were playing Refused: The Shape of Punk to Come when I was there.. That is saying it all right there!

London's only record shop specialising in hardcore punk is a model for all record shops. It's definitely a niche market, but this tiny shop is really well organised -- it's kind of amazing how many sub-genres there are of punk, but if you've got a band name someone will point you in the right direction. The staff are super friendly and are always keen to chat about music (and not just punk). They're exactly the kind of people you want running a record store: they take music seriously but obviously want you to love it as much as they do. They also get lots of limited run discs in, so you're bound to find some hidden gem. It's a must for hardcore kids, especially if you've got time to dig.

By far the best record store in London. The guy running it knows literally everything about hardcore and punk music and you are guaranteed to find the record you want, no matter how obscure.

This tiny shop is a bit hard to locate at first as Pratt street is a little walk in the other direction from Camden Market. Once you have found it, you will love it! Stocks Proper Punk, Oi, Psychobilly, Ska, Nu Punk..... In both LP and CD formats. It also stocks Hard to find band tees, badges, patches (including those elusive large ones for the back patch!), pins, custom clothing, posters, DVDs and as you walk in the wall is covered in adverts for local drummers, singers etc. If you are into or curious about the punk scene then I would totally recommend this place.
