Cleveland Clambakes Are a Can't-Miss Fall Tradition

"In a century-old neighborhood bar a few blocks from Lake Erie, chef Jared Bazil treats the clambake like a community holiday: one big, sold-out seasonal event where his patio fills and he steams clams right on the street so guests first catch the warm scent of seafood. He puts a Cleveland spin on the classic with smoky kielbasa from a local butcher and says his New England clam chowder—thick and loaded with clams—is the best in the city; when asked how he eats them, he laughs that he likes to take all the clam meat out and put it in the butter, which tells you how indulgent the experience is." - Wendy Pramik

Visited this place on a Thursday evening very cute patio, it was a hot day but the patio was shaded and felt so cool. The bartender was very friendly and service was fast and the food was amazing I had airline chicken which was cooked to perfection along with the dill veggies with dip. My husband had the knockout burger with fries. I only drink champagne but I saw the bartender making a lot of great looking cocktails. This place is worth checking out !

Google
Great vibe! Great back patio area. See the bartender in the back patio area for seating. We elected to just sit at the bar though. The specialty cocktails and food were great! The bartenders were really nice. The background music really fit the vibe as well. Just a great spot, go! Free street parking around the area.

Here is pub grub racheted up several notches. The shady patio is a charmer reminiscent of many little spots around Europe. The food is pricier than your run of the mill Cleveland pub but it's a cut above the pack. For example, the steak sandwich here delivers a real cooked to perfection steak. The food approaches gourmet without being pretentious. Be prepared for a wait at peak weekend times. Can't speak to the interior vibe as we have only done the patio on account of our dog. The neighborhood has a lot of dogs. The dog-friendly Terrestrial Brewing is just round the corner. We don't go there for food, but it's possible to grab a beer while you wait for your call from All Saints that they have a table for you. If you can spend a bit more than you do at other pubs do it.

Just don't disturb M.

Google
Atmosphere was beyond awesome, outdoor patio (while filled with mosquitoes!) was amazing. The chicken sandwich was well seasoned but dry, but our server made up for it with her kind attitude and great service.

Google
All Saints has a nice patio area with a good atmosphere. It's very busy, so be sure to leave plenty of time to wait to get a table (it was a legitimate 1.5 hour wait for our group of 3). To be honest our group felt the food was just average at best, definitely could be more flavorful and idk if it justified such a long wait for everything included.

Google
Went here for my birthday dinner, was a busy night for the Kentucky Derby. Food was delicious, we especially liked the gouda dip and Melon cocktail. Air levels were high so I'd recommend HEPA Air filters or using the patio seating when the weather is good. Lots of stairs to access the upper levels for seating.

Google
first time coming to this establishment and i have to stay i enjoyed my time there, the bar maid kept me company for a minute and helped me narrow down my dinner. i also tried a new tequila recommended by bar maid and it was smooth (don’t remember the name of it) i can see myself drinking it again. i ordered the smother chicken and my only complaint was the rosemary because i just do not like rosemary to save my life but the meal was delish and i can see myself ordering it again. its a great place to come, it is very dark to the point you would think they were closed but its a great place to come to for date, family time, or me date, etc. i recommend everyone to come and check them out because i plan on coming back!

Google
The shrimp sliders and hot scallops were awesome! The ambience was nice, but too loud to hear each order. It was a little challenging to eat sitting on a deep couch, but we made it work. Whatever you do, don’t get the pick a peck drink (or whatever it was called). Tasted like straight pickle juice that was blue.

Yelp
Contender for best patio in Cleveland. All saints has the best happy hour deals and some really great food. I have always had great service and the drinks are good. Definitely a must stop in cleveland no matter the season.

Yelp
Pros: As most others have commented, the patio is great. Southwest Caesar salad was delicious and the highlight of our meal. Cocktails, though on the pricy side, were good. Patio is dog-friendly. Cons: Service left much to be desired. Our server was not very friendly and seemed he did not want to be bothered with us. Never offered refills on water or cocktails, did not offer water for my pup, and did not ask how the meals were. I ordered the Crispy Cilantro Lime Chicken sandwich which was so overcooked, the chicken was hard and needless to say, dry. Never asked how the other person in our party wanted her steak cooked, so it arrived well-done. I had to ask twice for clean silverware. Again, since our server avoided us, we couldn't let him know until it was time to bring the check. They do add a "transaction fee" of around 4% when using a credit card. Overall, meh. If you're looking for a place to dine in the area, walk 600ft to Terrestrial Brewing.

Yelp
Great spot for happy hour. Didnt have to wait for table. Staff is friendly and quick. We got several rounds of beers and shared the pretzel and cauliflower, both delicious!

Yelp
This venue is so cool and unique. Very large and nice patio, nice wine options, and we tried the dolphin fingers which were delicious!

Yelp
Patio dining you actually enjoy, no matter the time of day. All Saints' courtyard is a little Eden along Edgewater, where "saints" bask in the shaded courtyard while "sinners" can scheme in the comfort of the indoor bar. Garden vibes for days. An assortment of different tables are positioned comfortably around the patio, but shielded from overly sunny days by the lush tree cover. A covered bar is available, with bar stools for those who prefer. A very mindful, demure fountain presides over the patio. On any given day, the clientele is a variety pack of people at all stages of life, and, delightfully for me, their dogs. Parking in this area isn't too bad, usually with a few street spots nearby the apartments and townhomes. The staff we've met have been nothing but delightful, and maybe it's the cocktails, or maybe it's the ambiance, but I could spend a whole day slowly sipping cocktail after cocktail. Preferably one of the extremely refreshing Patio Pounders. Food-wise, this is where All Saints falls a little short. The menu covers all the bar food and brunch (on Sundays) basics without being too complex. Brunch food was satisfying, and my surprise favorite of dinner was the Buffalo Cauliflower, but the burgers and sliders were good but a little salty and overcooked. An overall fine time, but you'll have a better time simply because of the atmosphere.

Yelp
We love this place! Steve the owner is an asset to the neighborhood as are all of the folks who work there. Jared the chef is awesome! Food is ALWAYS great, atmosphere is fantastic and varied. The downstairs bar/lounge is cozy, great for conversations, and a great vibe. The upstairs sports bar is a great place to be on game day and when there's no game there are theme nights with trivia and other fun stuff. In the summer the patio is literally THE best patio in Cleveland as voted on by others (I believe Scene Magazine). The brunch in the summer is great (book early or expect to wait) and the regular menus change seasonally with various specials. Best part for us and many people in the neighborhood -- the place is walkable! Always out go to place when having friends visit from other areas or friends nearby or one of those "don't feel like cooking" evenings.

Yelp
Tuesday night Last Call Trivia at All Saints is awesome! The upstairs space is super cozy, especially in the winter. The bartenders/servers up there are super attentive, and friendly. Scarlett the host is amazing at her job and it's always a really fun atmosphere. The food is decent. I usually get either their grilled Caesar salad or the wedge, both are good. Protein additions are a little pricey in my opinion, but the salads are a nice size, and you'll leave full. My friend always get the fish and chips, which is probably one of my fave items on the menu and their fries are delicious. They also switch up their menu and cocktails a few times a year, so there's always something new to try. There's a nice selection of rotating craft beers and I'm always impressed by the variety. It's a good place to try a new beer. In the summer, make sure you stop in to check out their patio!

Yelp
The patio here is exquisite! It has a very private/remote feel. The server I had was very funny and accommodating. I ordered a glass of wine which was tasty. I did not personally order food but my friends who did enjoyed their food and cocktails quite a bit.

Sarah G.

Yelp
Great vibes, service, and food is delicious! Very creative menu. Love the outdoor cutsie seating.

Yelp
We have visited All Saints twice in the last month. It is the coziest cocktail bar we have been to in a long time. We originally went to sit on the patio and they only had indoor seating. We ended up in the bar and it was so comfortable and inviting. All Saints has a loop of old movies playing and that sparked a lot of conversation. The cocktails were amazing and staff was so friendly. The staff seemed to be enjoying their job and made you feel welcome the minute you walked in. Our second visit was right after they changed their menu. I was a little disappointed the only vegan entree was a pasta dish. Previously they offered a cauliflower steak (which was amazing). The pasta was very good, but another option would be nice. I took a peek upstairs since we have only been in the downstairs bar area. The upstairs is a inviting as the downstairs. It is not as intimate as downstairs, so more appropriate for a larger party. They did an amazing job renovating an older home. All Saints will be one of our go to cocktail bars.

Yelp
Trendy hip cool. Patio is awesome! happy hour$4 happy drafts. $3 house wines. Service was good. Enjoy coming here. Fun little place tucked away in battery park. Unexpected fun good food items. Try this joint out!

Yelp
Huge rat on patio !!!! Would come here with my dad all the time and loved it so disappointed!!!!! Told the girl with red hair and a bad attitude since we got there... she had a tattoo on the back on her knee cap and milky white skin! She was soooo rude told us she was tired from the beginning , was mmmmhmmm w a sarcastic unpleasant tone and then when I'm like hey there was just a huge rat right here on the patio at our table she says idk what to tell ya it's outside and she's just staring blankly at me and then I'm like oh so you have seen a rat on the patio here before !!? She said I mean idk... and I'm like I'm worried bc a lady over there has her purse on the ground and she just shrugged her shoulders and stared at me! Never coming here again and reporting this

Yelp
Beautiful patio! Great place to grab happy hour in the summer. LOVE that they had Butcher and the Brewer beer!

Yelp
Wonderful experience. First time visiting the area and saw some really good Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. Main floor has a bar, traditional table tops, and some couch line booths. Great options. We had a couple of drinks at the bar and ordered a bite to eat. Bar had some good draft options and the bartender made some excellent drinks. The hot chicken sandwich and grilled cheese were fresh with great flavor. Fries were very good but the tater tots were amazing. Friendly service.
google avatar

Dennise M.

Yelp
The food is Outstanding. The patio is amazing! Been here a few times. Looking forward to going back. The servers and bartenders are really good. My drink never went empty.

Yelp
All saints is also another Cleveland staple that always has fresh menues with delicious seasonal food. The drinks and cocktails are great, one of the only places to have sphaghets on the menu. Patio is a nice place to hang in the summer as well!
google avatar

Steve M.

Yelp
Beautiful place! Lots of character, especially the "backyard". Food was delicious and the servers were absolutely great! The indoor bar was closed but looks equally welcoming. Highly recommend a visit here

Yelp
We live close to this place so we're able to walk over here frequently, and I'm glad we can. Their patio is one of the best in the area, specifically the outdoor bar area. We also love the food. It's one of the few places you can get a smash burger and their brunch is great too! Bartenders and servers are always friendly and attentive. Great neighborhood spot!

Yelp
All Saints has long been a favorite dining spot of mine in Cleveland. Over the years, I've had mixed experiences with the service--sometimes it's exceptional, other times less so. However, during my most recent visit, the service was truly excellent. I believe hiring additional staff could consistently elevate the service quality. The food remains consistently delicious, which keeps me coming back. The relaxed ambiance makes it a perfect choice for meals with friends, family gatherings, or a date night! I really recommend trying the new Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwhich, it's to die for!

Rebekah E.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are regulars and literally go here almost every week. It's our go to spot. Unfortunately after our experience last night I don't think we will be returning. We sat on the patio, and in the span of 30 minutes we saw 3 rats under multiple tables, one of them being ours. The rat was literally directly under my chair. We were extremely uncomfortable, but decided not to say anything until after we paid the check as it's not the server's fault. After we paid, I let the server know that we had seen 3 rats. She did not apologize or seem concerned at all- just made a joke. This response made us feel like this health hazard was not taken seriously and we are too uncomfortable to return, given that we have no peace of mind the rats are not also inside, in the kitchen, or near the food. Hate to leave this review as this was our favorite spot to dine, but this situation was absolutely terrible.

Yelp
Best food in Cleveland. Hands down. Great service, fun atmosphere and AMAZING food. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Gary A.

Yelp
While the service was great, the food was HORRIBLE. The chicken paprikash was tasteless, having very little chicken or dumplings. It was the worst Paprikash I have ever had. The friends I was with didn't have much to say one way or the other. Cozy bar, LOUSY food.
google avatar

Tracie F.

Yelp
All saints is always a staple spot for us to go when we're in the neighborhood. The service is always friendly and on point, the staff really makes you feel like family. We love to stop in when the menu changes to try out the new cocktails and food. The patio is one of my favorites and if you have never been you definitely need to take a trip to the second floor bathroom.
google avatar

KayLyn G.

Yelp
Looking for a bar with amazing food? This is your spot. All saints is a swanky trendy place to go that is conveniently located in the Gordon Square neighborhood. They have a delicious brunch and late night menu to add to their standard menu of quality ingredients. The staff is very accommodating especially during trivia nights that are hosted on the second floor. The parking can be a bit tricky in this area. Def recommend car pooling to park street side.
google avatar

Jordan N.

Yelp
This place is so hyped to, and let me tell you, NOT worth it. Sure, the patio is fine. I like the big trees and the fountain. But it's a lot smaller than the pictures and it's a little cheesy. The food is terrible. Literally terrible. And service was slow. We went around 4:00 on a Friday. The saving grace was how personable and friendly the bartenders were. They were the best! However, I was most impressed by the commitment to the "hell" themed bathroom upstairs. It was a truly nightmarish experience, but very well done.

Yelp
Sat on the newly renovated back patio this past weekend (at bar side seats), for a lovely dinner. There are plexiglass barriers between sections of seats and all servers and bartenders wore their masks 100% of the time...it felt like a very safe environment. We ordered a few custom cocktails and as usual, two main dishes (to share). My wife's lobster risotto was a massive portion, so much so that we ate it during this meal and again each of us had a portion the next day for lunch! It was creamy and the bits of lobster throughout made for a decadent dish. I've had their fish-n-chips before (as I did this evening) and they did not disappoint. Other than the fires not piping hot, everything about the dish was spot on...two crispy fish fillets, tangy tartar sauce, well seasoned fries served with a remoulade dipping sauce and a crunchy, vinegary cole slaw. Given this spot is within walking (or stumbling?) distance from our home...this could be a go-to spot for us in the future. Keep up the good work, team!

Yelp
I was dragged out by some old friends while I was in town for the weekend and boy am I glad they did!! I had a great time catching up at All Saints Public House! This place had so much character!! A lot of up and coming places typically have the same kind of drinks and atmosphere but this place surely is unique! The names for the drinks were hilarious! I got the rickety crickety martini! It tasted like a mint chocolate chip frothy heaven!

Bob D.

Yelp
Great food and outdoor area. Chef changes up the menu so food is always interesting. You can call ahead to reserve a spot on the patio.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious! Wonderfully rehabbed bar...not an open air with high ceilings but a corner bar that my grandfather went to, with a little bit of shine. The vibe is quaint, but not cute. You walk in and feel at home. There are 2 floors to choose from, both becoming and inviting, you just want to melt in the sofas! When the weather is nice they even have a patio! Tonight we came for the fish fry and got more than just the average fried fish. We were seated at a comfy table with plush chairs and a sofa...fabulous touch. Our waitress took our drink order, dished out the specials and then it was time to choose. The menu is great for a local bar, plenty to choose from. Vegan, veggie and meat heavy. We started with the deviled eggs, perfect like your mom would make for a bbq. Next the entrees and sides! There was so much food, but hey portions were spot on. We tried a few of the specials and ordered from the menu too. The cabbage and noodles were authentic with a bit of sweetness from the onion. The Brussels sprouts were perfectly sautéed and pretty damn good. Now to the good stuff. Hands down the best shrimp po boy I have ever had. I might as well have been in New Orleans. The bun was perfect, not to heavy and the shrimp was lightly dusted. My husband had the walleye, it was huge fresh and cooked perfect. My mom rounded it out with classic fish and chips, cod was great. The fries are great, not oily or over seasoned. By far a great new addition to the neighborhood. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and they had live music! Try it out, you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Lauren P.

Yelp
Sign on the door said they are closed due to repairs in the kitchen. We were really bummed out! It looks like a great little public house. I suggest that you call before going. Low stars due to nothing listed about the closure on their website - which we checked in advance.
google avatar

Hans K.

Yelp
My wife and I went for brunch and it was excellent!! We sat on the patio which is nice because it is completely shaded by trees. I had the biscuits and gravy and my wife had the avocado toast with salmon. Patio is very dog friendly. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Kayla C.

Yelp
Checked this place out for the first time for pierogi week and was not disappointed. It is so cute, in an old home and has two levels inside. It's very small and seems to be a busy spot, so be warned you might need to wait! It seemed they take reservations which I didn't know but will be doing in the future. Great atmosphere and service, the paprikash pierogi was excellent. Will definitely be returning to check out the patio and some of their other food!
google avatar

Yelp
We had one of the worst dining experiences here. We arrived around 7:30pm on a Thursday evening. 3 of sat at a table on the patio. The number of patrons was decent, but not crowded. We ordered one round of drinks, which were good. We then placed an appetizer and dinner orders. The appetizer (dip) took about 30 minutes to come out. As we sat and waited for our food, a different server came over and told us "I'm taking over your table". She didn't tell us her name. A group of 4 came in after us and received their entrees before our group of 3, which by this time we were waiting 45-50 minutes for 3 dinners. Almost 1 hour after we were seated, 2 of the 3 entrees came out, a grilled cheese and salmon. The 3rd entree a chicken sandwich did not come out. Our waitress gave us the 2 entrees and returned to fill our water. She then stated "they told me it would be 30 more seconds for the sandwich". Well 30 seconds turned into another 25 minutes. This waitress proceeded to attend to the table next to us FOUR times without ever checking on us or to give us an update. By the time the chicken sandwich came out, 2 of us were already done with our food. The chicken sandwich was so hot that the bun and toppings completely fell apart. When she finally brought the sandwich, we asked for boxes and the check. When she brought the boxes and check, she simply stated "sorry if you felt neglected". IF??? We had 1 refill of water. We were never asked if we wanted a 2nd round of drinks, we were never offered an explanation on why it took over 1 hour for a chicken sandwich. We were never given an apology or an offer to take off the extremely late chicken sandwich. After paying the full bill of $133, we left and will never be back. I've been to a lot of restaurants and have never had such horrible service. This experience was an absolute joke. I am embarrassed and angry that I brought people to this place.

Yelp
Enjoyed a wonderful Brunch today (7/23/23) at All Saints Public House. We sat on their exceptional patio while appreciating the perfect weather. I had their Corned Beef Hash and Johnny had their Smash Burger. Our server Gabby was a joy and was very attentive. Thank you Steve and Chef Jared for another great meal.

Yelp
Service was great, bar tender is very familiar with food and drinks, the ambiance on ther patio is awesome, the burger is phenomenal along with a big dill cocktail

Yelp
Had the best experience at All Saints. Chiara is so great at her job and knowledgeable about the menu. She made our experience so exciting!!!

Yelp
Had heard so much about their fish fries, was eager to try it out. Noticed walleye was on the menu, which is always good, so ordered it. Looked great, a huge piece of fish. When I bit into it, by the taste I was sure the breading had been burnt. Turned on my phone light (it was dark in there), but it looked ok. But still had a burnt taste, and the breading was brittle. Upon cutting the breading shattered rather than holding together. The fish was not as flakey as expected, and lacked that subtle walleye flavor. Because the hard breading broke into pieces, I had to use the side of my fork to scrape together the fish meat and the breading in order to eat it. A spoon might have worked better. This was a huge disappointment. Don't know if it was overcooked or something was up with the fryer or the oil or the batter, but this piece of fish should have been discarded, and never sent out of the kitchen. DId not comment at the time because didn't want my companion to have to wait for a replacement. Don't know if the fries were homemade, but were indistinguishable from frozen. No paper menu, you had to have a phone to scan a piece of barcoded paper. There was a table set up right by the main door, the people eating there had to leave their coats on their entire meal, as every time the door opened a gust swept over them; should have been say a leftover plexiglass shield or something to block the cold. They charge more if you use a credit card, but I did not see that disclosed beforehand anywhere on the menu or website, so maybe I missed it, but this should never come as a surprise. Don't know, maybe it was just a bad night, based on all the good reviews. But with expectations set so high, the experience was very disappointing, and I won't take another chance.

Yelp
Such a quaint restaurant and bar tucked into a corner building. The food was amazing and they had some really great unique cocktails. We chose to sit at the bar. The bartender was really friendly, helped us make our selections and was efficient. I can't wait to come back and sit for a full dinner.

Yelp
I visited for Cleveland Wing week. The flavors they offered caught my eye so I had to go and try both. I got the Duck wings with habanero orange glaze and the Chicken paprikash wings. Both wings were good and a nice size. The gentleman was very friendly and helpful. He took my to go order right away and the wait time was almost nothing.

Yelp
Love the patio, love the food, but most of all love the personable, fun staff. The outdoor bar is great if you just want a drink, and speaking of drinks, they have a daily special which is always good. Try to get there while our weather is good because the patio is one of the best in Cleveland.

Char L.

Yelp
Met a group of friends for drinks and apps today on the patio today. Our server was so rude and abrupt that we will likely never return.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing!! Not sure where the name comes from but the environment and food and drinks were beyond expectations. Best patio and place I have been to in 2-3 years. Smoked mezcal cocktails were delicious. Our appetizer of calamari was so delish we ordered a 2nd one. Dinner choices were plentiful but 3 of us chose lobster ravioli. Large serving was very filling to include leftovers for tomorrow. The salmon was good but not the best I have had only cause I prefer wild. The asparagus and green beans were fresh and delish. Some very tasty French fries - not greasy - with great dips include a good not overly spicy ketchup. The patio was BEAUTIFUL and open. The two large trees provided a beautiful canopy. Take a jacket as it gets cool. Will be back more than once if they keep up the great service and food.

Yelp
We visited All Saints last night and it was a very pleasant experience!! The staff is incredibly welcoming with an emphasis on service delivery. We sat outside on the patio which is very large, shaded, cozy and comfortable. For the food, we started with the smoked Gouda bacon dip which is a nice large portion for three people to share and had very nice flavor. For dinner, I had the double bone pork chop which was cooked completely through with a nice, but not overdone crust and a very complimentary tomato bacon jam. My wife had the Caprese sandwich and my daughter had the Salmon sandwich. Both were very tasty and nice sized portions. I would definitely recommend you put All Saints on your "To visit" list!!

Yelp
Took an hour and half to get our food. 4 tables arrived after us and got their food first. $15 for a hash with small portions. Food tasted fine but the service and experience was unfortunately bad. They said a fire happened in the kitchen that delayed the orders. But the fire took place over an hour into our visit so it was still disappointing.
google avatar

Shawn S.

Yelp
The patio was excellent and the service was fabulous. The alcoholic drinks were great. Generic cola and subpar food were a disappointment. Charcuterie board was great also. Definitely will be back again but only for alcoholic beverages and appetizers

Yelp
Kudos on the amazing, beautiful transformation of this space. Warm and comfortable with a restaurant / bar on the first floor and more of a lounge feel on the second floor. We sat upstairs at the bar. The drinks and food are very reasonably priced. Very nice cocktail menu. We ordered a wedge salad and Brussel sprouts, along with a glass of wine (the red blend - delish) and an ice cold Stella. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes. The wedge salad came with lots of fun fixin's - bacon, blue cheese, candied walnuts, hard-boiled egg and homemade blue cheese dressing. The first time I came in and I got the brussels sprouts and they were a little salty, but the next time I asked them to hold the salt and they were superb. Extremely accommodating staff that is very attentive to the guests. I also got to sample quite a number of other items on the menu that the group had to order. Every single one of them was fresh and delicious. We'll definitely be back - there were many more great items on the menu that we'd like to try next time and the time after that!

Yelp
Salmon blt is alright. It's honestly better at local west. The patio atmosphere is nice and it's dog friendly. There was some confusion with our order but the service is a bit scarce as there only seems to be one server

Nichole E.

Yelp
Great food and even better atmosphere. We sat outside and it was so perfect and relaxing. I think this would be a great place to bring out of town guests. All of the employees were nice and helpful and our food came out quickly. The smoked wings were very good but I did have to get used to them being whole. I think it adds to its uniqueness and the thoughtfulness of what they put in their menu.
