The location and hotel are stunning- like out of a movie! The rooms were quite basic, which I was perfectly fine with. Very quiet and everything a 1 to 5-10 walk. The breakfast however was completely underwhelming with possibly the worst double espresso I've ever had in my life. But, of course there are plenty of other places close to have coffee and great food. Definitely recommend for the setting & location!!

Amazing experience overall, we stayed (11 people) among 3 quadruple rooms and we all had more than enough space. The rooms were all super comfortable, they had everething you might need. Finally, the staff is amazing, very friendly and always to go the extra mile in order to help us during our stay. We will definitely be staying again here next time.

Staying at Residence Hotel Alla Giudecca was an absolute pleasure. The location is excellent — close to the Piazza Duomo, charming shops and spectacular restaurants. The hotel's building is of medieval origin and contains Europe's oldest Miqwè, or Jewish ritual bath, which dates back to the Byzantine era. The frequent guided tours offered here are both informative and engaging. ||Our room was comfortable and quiet, with bedding that made for a truly restful sleep. Breakfast was another highlight — delicious, and served with warm hospitality.

We had a great stay here. The room was wonderfully spacious, with a separate living room area that gave us plenty of space. Everything was simple, and most importantly, spotlessly clean. The absolute best part, however, was the location—it's just a quick three-minute walk to the famous local swimming spot, which was incredibly convenient.

Great location, customer service was good. However the accommodation was tired and in need of maintenance. Shower would not drain, so your feet are standing in everyone's waste water coming up. The exterior guest public places were untidy and needing TLC. You get what you pay for! Wouldn't come back.

Hotel Alla Guidecca – Beautiful setting, very poor management|Location :|At first sight, the hotel looks charming it its historic setting, but the reality was very disappointing. Parking is 30 minutes away in a paid garage (Euro 15/day + Euro 5 p.p. bus ticket one way) – something we weren’t told beforehand.|The hotel is also inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues, with many steps to climb.|Breakfast :|Breakfast was nice and served in a beautiful old building, apparently a former Jewesh bathhouse. Unfortunately, it was the only positive aspect of our stay.|Service :|Staff very unfriendly and unprofessional, with zero customer sercive. The welcome was cold and any request for help was met with indifférence.|Rooms :|We booked three rooms (18,19,20) and all had issues : broken hairdryers, faulty bathroom fittings, water spraying everywhere, and poor cleanliness (dirty carpets, pillows and blankets).|Overall experience :|Worst of all, after leaving we were falsely accused of damaging a door. Take photos of everything of you stay here !|Conclusion :|Such a shame – the location deserves far better management.

Do not stay here. The mattresses are full of mold and mildew. The rooms are dusty and, while there may be an air conditioner, it will be underpowered and not in the bedroom. The room was so full of dust and mildew we couldn't stay here. It was too hard on our allergies. They charged us anyway.

NIGHTMARE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS I rarely write reviews, but my stay at Hotel Alla Giudecca in Syracuse was so appalling that I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment I stepped into the room, I was hit with a putrid smell that lingered throughout my stay. The walls were speckled with mold, the bathroom was a breeding ground for it, and even the shower curtains reeked of mildew. The room itself was a horror show: spider webs in corners, bed linen with yellow stains and holes and a sofa covered in mysterious blotches. The air was humid and stale, I had asthma all night longmaking it nearly impossible to sleep comfortably. It felt more like a neglected basement than a hotel room. Despite raising these issues, the property offered no meaningful follow-up. I was promised a refund, which never arrived—even after multiple calls to Booking.com and the hotel itself. The lack of accountability and basic hospitality was shocking. This place is a disgrace to the hospitality industry. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away.
