NIGHTMARE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS I rarely write reviews, but my stay at Hotel Alla Giudecca in Syracuse was so appalling that I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment I stepped into the room, I was hit with a putrid smell that lingered throughout my stay. The walls were speckled with mold, the bathroom was a breeding ground for it, and even the shower curtains reeked of mildew.
The room itself was a horror show: spider webs in corners, bed linen with yellow stains and holes and a sofa covered in mysterious blotches. The air was humid and stale, I had asthma all night longmaking it nearly impossible to sleep comfortably. It felt more like a neglected basement than a hotel room.
Despite raising these issues, the property offered no meaningful follow-up. I was promised a refund, which never arrived—even after multiple calls to Booking.com and the hotel itself. The lack of accountability and basic hospitality was shocking.
This place is a disgrace to the hospitality industry. I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away.
