Allamanda Beach Resort

I chose this property for its beachfront location as I am traveling with my mother for work and I wanted her to be able to enjoy the beach while I was working. The pictures on their website are NOTHING like what it looks like. Very run down and in desperate need of a renovation. Restaurant is closed; no breakfast or bar on property. I’m quite confident that people live there, when the room attendant came to clean the room, she had children with her. Ok, fine, however, those children came back to our room and asked for food. There’s a time and place for charity but as a guest of the hotel, this was not either. Very limited parking, the tennis court is in complete disarray and what little furniture they do have in the lobby is stained. Now for the positive, it is beachfront and a very pretty beach as well. The water is clear and calm to enjoy a swim or a float. The pool at the hotel is quite large with plenty of lounge chairs and the landscaping is very pretty. While definitely dated with some maintenance opportunities, the rooms are clean. If you are only interested in a place to sleep that is in a great location that won’t break the bank, this is your spot. Otherwise, I’d suggest you stay at the neighboring resort that is actually a resort.

The Hotel does not look like the photos online. There, in July 2025, the "Motel" is very run down . No restaurant. The lamp shades in our room have mold on them. Very little parking. The front desk has dirty sofas in it, and looks as inviting as a government building, and not in a good way. The location is good.

Good value. Must be the best price for immediate access to the beach. 5 stars for value. Big supermarket and restaurants nearby. Big Pool. A stroll down the path to the lovely and long Grand Anse beach. The same venue at a much lower price than the neighbours. Friendly helpful staff with free ice machine. Bed and pillows comfortable. Air con if needed. Loungers you can put on the beach at no extra cost. Looks like the owner/manager even cleans off the sand. For peace and quiet, do check if you can have a room with no communicating door unless you rent 2 rooms. More important than a sea view.

A budget-type hotel that is right on the beach. Front desk staff are friendly. Be sure to ask for an ocean view room. Our room was basic, had a refrigerator, was clean, had a view of the beach, A/C worked great. The hotel seriously needs to be renovated. There is a hotel right next door that plays loud music mostly weekends. One night it was a steel drum band and even from inside our room it was loud. impossible to sit on the deck. The gym is terrible. equipment is old, rusty and unusable. Onsite restaurant is not open, but there are many restaurants within walking distance to eat. check out Fork & Knife at the spiceland mall.

I spent 5 days at the Allamanda hotel and I loved it! |It is no frills, as I expected, but clean with a nice balcony, decent bed, refrigerator, coffee maker and lovely staff. They do not currently have a restaurant at the hotel, but there are plenty on the beach. There is also a super market, breakfast places and food trucks within walking distance. It is located on, what I think is the most convenient, mellowest part of the beach and a lovely beach it is. You can expect company if you plant your hotel provided chaise under one of the shade trees-the shade is for sharing. I found it was a nice way to meet people-Grenadians are warm and welcoming. Probably not for those who want more luxe accommodations, but the price was great and perfect for me.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Wendy at the front desk she was pleasant and knowledgeable. There were 3 of us staying in a 2 bedroom and we had asked for a cot we did have to wait for a bit for the cot to be brought in. The cot was in rough shape you could feel the frame springs through the plastic covered mattress. The room was nice for the price nothing elegant but we were only looking for a place to sleep and shower. The pool is wonderful and usually only 2 or 3 other people there if any. The beach is so close and very clean and the hotel supplies lounge chairs and towels. We had the opportunity to speak with one of the owners (very pleasant gentleman) they are working on upgrading the property to include new cots and re-open the restaurant. If you are looking for budget friendly along with friendly helpful staff this is the place.

The photos online are old. The "Motel" no longer looks like that. It very tired looking. Very little parking, NO restaurant, the rooms are ok, they are on the beach, the lobby is scary looking. The sofas are dirty and stained. The staff are not friendly.

The staff is friendly and helpful when checking in. They had our room air conditioner on and room cooled for us. Room was clean, but dated. Close to great restaurants and is on the beach. Disappointed that the restaurant at the hotel is closed.
