Allamanda Beach Resort

If you like the beach, that is the Allamanda’s best feature! Right on the beach with lounge chairs available for guests. The rooms are spacious and have the amenities you need. There is no longer a restaurant, lounge or bar but they do provide you extra coffee and coffee makers in the rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are a couple of good restaurants on the beach close by as well as a shopping mall with a food court and large grocery store. The air conditioner works great and cools the room down quickly. It is also nice to have a balcony to watch the sunset. The hotel is close to the airport, and we were permitted to check in 2 hours early. There was a broken door lock to our balcony, but we were given a bolt to jam the door… no buggy. As a whole the hotel has been around the block a few times, but they clean the rooms as clean as they can get. Not a swanky place, but affordably price, good value. I would come back.

The rooms can use some updates plus maybe an elevator in the lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location can’t be beat! Walking distance to Wall Street for all the late night eats, also located right alongside Grand Anse Beach.

Allamanda is a very basic hotel with direct access to grand anse Beach. The property is in need of remodeling. We were initially given a garden room on the 2nd floor. The room was dark, with dirty walls, and old, chipped furniture. We were not happy. After speaking to the front desk, we arranged to move to a beach-view room on the 3rd floor. It was clearly remodeled, with fresh paint and a great balcony. The rooms are large with a fridge and coffee maker, but no microwave. The bathroom was basic and small. The pool is very inviting, but the restaurant was closed and the gym did not have much usable equipment. There is really only one outlet in the room, where management has set up a multi-plug system for guests. The location of this hotel is it's saving grace. Restaurants are all around, and spiceland mall is a short walk away. Overall, our trip was great but only because we were able to switch rooms!

I am disgruntled as I put this in writing. The person who manages this place is disrespectful and has no regards. Is it because you are white and see black natives as inferior? Would you survive without the income of customers? Man, the people above you need to revisit who represents them as a brand to their business.

The Allamanda is, by far, the best value on Grand Anse Beach. I loved my two-week stay. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely view of the ocean. The staff is extremely helpful and kind...including the owner, who never stops working to make the place hum. The pool is very nice and the beach, just a short stroll away, is amazing. The daily maid service was wonderful and the "girls" were all very sweet.|The area around the hotel offers many restaurants (Italian, Mexican, Sushi, Mediterranean and more...all of them very good. |There is a good supermarket and the Spiceland Mall across the street.|You can walk to the Spice Market and other hotels along the beach. The location is ideal since driving in Grenada is not for the faint of heart.|The hotel is located next to a public park and across from a sports stadium that can sometimes be very loud. |Unfortunately there is no bar or restaurant at the Allamanda but, with so much nearby, it wasn't an issue. |Hello to the great crew at the Allamanda!

Lovely place in the heart of the grand anse Beach area. Being on the beach was amazing. Staff were nice and gave us anything we needed for our room. Umbrella's bar is two doors down, so about 5 minutes down the beach. Beach chairs were provided. Balcony was a great beach view. Would stay here again.

The rooms were cleaned daily, however I kept seeing large "water bugs" at night in our bathroom and bedroom. I was so scared I couldn't sleep through the night. This place maybe had 3 guests this past week, made me think. It was just a few steps off the beach, that's a big plus. The pool was ONLY used by us. No restaurant on site, not a good thing at all. We had to go around the island to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

My 5 star review is based on the fact that a group of 12 stayed here for the Easter weekend and we had one main issue that was resolved amicably by management. Flight was delayed and we arrived at the hotel at 1am to check in, seamless process. Rooms were clean with everything working. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Don’t expect a five star hotel but merely a good place to be based for your vacation. Everything you need is in walking distance. Bring a positive attitude and have a great time.
