I contacted Allard USA about an Allard ToeOff 2.0 w/ D-ring that had been purchased for my elderly mother for foot drop. The brace broke and we were looking for some type of replacement or repair. After making us jump through several hoops, Allard went silent on us. As I outlined to the several Allard reps I spoke with this situation involves a 95 year old woman who experienced an unexpected issue with her Allard brace which raises concerns, particularly regarding the durability and reliability of Allard braces. As you can appreciate, this not the ideal image you wish to portray for your brand.
For the sake of context, Allard braces are recommended to competitive athletes who rely on top-tier equipment. It becomes challenging to justify recommending an Allard brace when we have a case where an elderly woman, who engages in gentle mobility exercises once a week with her physiotherapist, faces the need to replace a relatively expensive brace due to a breakage.
While our hope was that Allard would stand behind the quality and reliability of its products, reassuring its customers that they can continue to trust in the performance of your orthopedic braces, this does not appear to be the case.
