Allawah Bendigo

For a short holiday for a solo traveller the hotel was great. The location was great and easy to get to from the station. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom was clean and the shower was a nice size. The water pressure was nice and the water was lovely and hot and there was an effective fan in there also. The air conditioning was excellent. The wifi was good. There was plenty of options for coffee and food and shopping close by as well as things to do.

Bathroom terrible, way to small. Aircon/fan didn't work, apparently all interconnected to other rooms, so stupid 😱,that really pissed me off as rooms are so stuffy and you can hear people breathe when they walk past , should be double glazed. After hours staff was soooo lovely, she tried everything to help with the aircon, ended up giving us a portable fan, thank god. If it wasn't for her, we would have gone home 😖. Outside area was beautiful, was very quite mostly. Good central area.

Allawah was lovely. My maisonnette room was clean and comfortable, with everything I required. The location is in the heart of Bendigo on View Street, and parking was easy to find once I knew where to look. Checking in and out is simple and the wine bank is a gem. It was surprisingly quiet at night.

Lovely character room and building. However the showers were Luke warm. Internet cut off in the middle evening. Lovely food in the restaurant. However late night patrons kept me up as there's a function area right outside the rooms. Good pricing, but if you want a quiet evening best look elsewhere. Mornings were peaceful.

We had a fantastic stay at apartment 6 in the chambers building. Located on level 3 you have the option of the stairs or old school lift to get to apartment entry. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 5. Completely self contained apartment - full kitchen and laundry. Mark had the heating on already when we arrived so the apartment was toasty and warm. Located walking distance to everything the town has to offer - main streets with cafes and restaurants, coffee shop right next door, art gallery and gardens / lake. Apartment has views of the fountain. Would stay again.

It has to be said that Allawah Bendigo is positioned in a great location with access to some excellent dining options. The rooms themselves are clean and cosy, featuring all the modern amenities, split system etc to provide couples with a comfortable stay, including an outdoor furnished open courtyard. Car parking at the rear, though, will only support a certain amount of vehicles and was filled very quickly upon our stay.

Great location, of street parking was abonus, the room was an adequate size for short stay although ensuite was a little small but we managed. Meals and staff at the Wine Bank brilliant. Would definately stay again. Thankyou

First impressions were very impressive.Lovely clean room with easy access through the wine bar to Main Street, great location. Parking could be tricky & we were lucky to get the last spot on a Friday night. Bathroom tiny, but has everything you need. The walls were obviously very thin, as we were woken very early by several groups staying who were departing before 6. They weren’t being particularly loud, but at one stage I even heard someone yawning! Luckily we weren’t there for a sleep in. We had a delicious tapas dinner in the wine bar.
