During our stay in Montepulciano, a kind waiter at our go-to breakfast joint recommended we visit Montalcino for the spectacular views. We originally planned to eat at another restaurant, but since they weren't serving lunch that day, we walked around and settled on Alle Logge di Piazza on a whim.
It turned out to be the best meal we had in Italy the entire week. The wait staff was kind and attentive, and the view from the window was like a painting—absolutely gorgeous. Everything we ordered, from the fried artichokes to the pici, the wine, and the dessert, was delicious.
As we made our way to the door with full stomachs, the entire floor staff and even some of the kitchen crew gave us a genuinely friendly goodbye. It was an unforgettable experience. Definitely coming back.
