Restaurant inside the market in Livorno. We found the food average and, especially, overpriced. We came to the market hoping to find some good fresh food but were unfortunately disappointed. The only dish we enjoyed was the pasta with clams. Service was very friendly.

If you find yourself in Livorno don't pass up this place! Located in the historical indoor market Mercato Coperto delle Vettovaglie. Fantastic atmosphere, local food, great cocktails, and excellent service. Everytime I am in Livorno I pay a visit!

This restaurant made our trip to Livorno. Authentic, fresh. The carpaccio was something I have not experienced. The cold platter meats with the white wine. The bread that was served in brown paper bags with no Olivio oil. Just bread, which was later dipped into my rich arrabiata pasta sauce and the taste of fresh Italian tomatoes. To be honest I personally did not feel comfortable about the surrounding place or Livorno in general. But I walked past this place in its glass enclosure, and I just felt somehow assured and I wondered how this place was not packed and we could get a table so easily. As we ate our food, we realised there were more locals than tourists, and I found the whole experience so overwhelmingly positive and authentic - I thank them for that. It was funny because the locals were watching me enjoy the food, and could see we were not from Italy, but they were also confused about what was so good about our order. Perhaps they take the food for granted a bit in Livorno, but as a traveller, it was heaven.

Excellent restaurant / wine bar inside the market, you can sit at the counter, inside an enclosed dining area or at tables in middle of market area. Our waiter spoke excellent English (and French) and was really helpful and knowledgeable providing some great wine recommendations. The menu has some starters, pasta, fish/meat options and desert. They are very flexible as to sharing and ordering anything you want. Our spaghetti with clams was delicious. The mixed fish starter had some very good marinated anchovies and a herring with chickpeas dish that was very tasty. A fun, relaxed and lovely meal.

Simple and delicious! In the centre of the market, very convenient and truly Italian. I didn’t understand the criticism in previous reviews, as I enjoyed my aperitif with bruschetta and cheese, the prices were also reasonable, the staff is friendly and helpful, the service was great!

Simply great experience! Special after hours opening by Tuscany tourism board. Owner hosted us like kings. Especially interesting Jin private collection and outstanding Aperetivo dishes

My sister and I took a day trip to Livorno and explored the food market and came across this restaurant. The staff was extremely kind and helpful - walking us through the entire daily menu (in English) and also offering their tips on what to do in Livorno. We had the chickpeas to start and the lemon spaghetti and gnocchi which were all incredible. Easily one of our best meals in our trip!
