I had a really good stay at the Allegro Hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The room had a very good shower. Also, it was very spacious. I took one star off because there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The toilet roll was just resting on the shelf. The bedding was worn ( a largish hole on the pillow case & for a four star hotel). I just expect these little things to be addressed. However the hotel has a lot of plusses, great location. Very helpful and friendly staff. The hotel has also been furnished nicely.

This was a very nice hotel on the edge of the old town pedestrian area. The breakfast was very good but had limited items. Some of the rooms would be difficult to get to due to the stairs if you have mobility issues. The bed was a typical firm European mattress. The location is excellent.

It's a brilliant location and quaint hotel with very friendly and helpful staff who gave us some excellent recommendations. Clean and very spacious, with a nice courtyard. Good spot to explore the city from, all in all we had a nice night there. Coffee in the rooms would have been good.

We had the best service ever from the women we interacted with at the Allegro Hotel - especially Tina, who spent a lot of time helping my husband plan his ascent of Mt. Triglav and another lady who did everything she could to help us solve our air conditioning problem. The location is excellent, the mattresses are comfy (firm European) and the seed bread at breakfast is delicious. We were disappointed that though the hotel claims to have airconditioning, ours didn't cool the air at all. It was 37oC outside and our rooms were toasty with just one window each, so no breeze and lots of noise when open. The onsite staff tried, but the management said that the airconditioning was maxed out (it wasn't cooling at all). Management did offer to let us move out or give us a discount, but we want others to be aware of this issue as the heat wave is set to continue for a while. Too bad about that, because otherwise it was wonderful!

Lovely small hotel with warm and friendly staff and a family feel. Great central heating (we came in January!), comfortable rooms, fantastic location, but quiet and peaceful. The glass bathroom doors in the attic rooms are a little off-putting if you’re sharing with someone you don’t usually, but otherwise no complaints.

The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Our room in the attic was spacious enough, beautifully decorated, and had a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was good, with a decent variety of options to start the day.One design flaw in the room was the glass bathroom door, which let light spill into the room at night—this could be disruptive for light sleepers. Another inconvenience was the setup for breakfast. To reach the dining area, you have to cross an inner courtyard, which means you need to dress in outdoor clothes, even on chilly mornings. Overall, the hotel has a lot of charm and a fantastic location, but these minor inconveniences could be improved to make the stay even more enjoyable.

The building itself and the patio : they are simply wonderful! As well as the entrance rooms downstairs, the inside is amazing. We benefited from an upgrade for 1 of the 2 rooms, and it was unexpected! The welcome drink in a very traditional room. The free shuttle service (city of Ljubljana) offered to drive us next to the train station. However, the double room clearly lacks maintenance and overall details are neglected: a bed sheet had several holes and little stains (they eventually changed it because we notified them...but in a 4-star hotel, it shouldn't happen....neither in any hotel!), electric wires of the lights in the bathroom are visible, some components of the shower are not well fixed, no boiler for tea/coffee, etc... this is not worth of a four star hotel. And noise can be heard easily from the corridors. The breakfast isn't worth of a 4-star hotel either (although scrambled eggs and croissants are delicious!): industrial honey and marmalade (whereas we're in a honey country!! It could easily source traditional honey from local surroundings!). There are several meats, though. Overall, I'd say the place is nice, but it's not worth 4 stars and the value for money is not here.

This hotel is very well located in the old town very close to all the wonderful restaurants and just below the castle. Considering how central the hotel was there was very little noise after 23:00. This is an old style boutique hotel lovingly maintained and run by the owners. A welcome drink is available on arrival.||The WIFI worked very well and breakfast was plentiful with very fresh produce and the option for freshly cooked eggs to your chosen style. Hot water for the showers was available all day and rooms were cleaned daily.||The owners treated each guest as though they were family and went out of their way to offer help, advice or just chat. ||Just a few little dislikes but overall I loved the hotel and would definitely come back but outside of the peak summer season.||My room had no air conditioning which made the room very hot in July. |The shower, whilst fully functioning was a little dated.|The coffee machine for breakfast is in Slovenian only which made choosing the right coffee difficult for most of the guests unless given instructions.
