Allegro Hotel

Absolutely wonderful staff that made our stay fantastic. They were friendly, inviting, and had good recommendations. Breakfast was convenient and delicious. The rooms were clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again.

Fantastic staff. From the first email & advice regarding taxi costs from the airport, to check in & check out - excellent. Really helpful, professional & kind. I left my work mobile phone in the room after check out & the wonderful housekeeping staff went out of their way to ensure the reception staff returned it to me (lucky I was still at breakfast) This is so hugely appreciated. Thank you once again for your diligence & honesty. Reception staff booked a taxi with a preferential rate to the airport for me - and had even researched public & shuttle bus options for me. Above & beyond customer service! |The Hotel itself is so cute! Traditional decor & very clean. In a brilliant location. Easy to walk to the riverfront, easy access to shops and restaurants. Excellent location. Good value for money too. Lovely welcome drink provided in their gorgeous lounge looking out at the cobbler street. Easily one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff is tremendously helpful and welcoming, especially Joel and Luca, who made our stay especially comfortable. The room was generous and well appointed, the breakfast was tasty, and the property was quiet even with being in the heart of the old town Ljubljana. We also traveled with our cat and he was happy and comfortable, too. I thoroughly recommend Allegro Hotel and look forward to returning there one day.

Tiny room but with a lovely balcony, clean and cozy.|Very lovely staff, helpful and nice.|As I booked directly with them, they provided me helpfull infomation before my arrival. First time in Ljubljana... It did not disappoint. Hotel is small and perfectly situated. Rooms vary in size and composition. Some are 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suites. I had a king bed, bathroom and balcony. Luka (front desk) is a wonderful host and can provide you anything you need from a welxome drink to hand made coffee. Sara in the breakfast kitchen is a delight and makes wonderful eggs. (If you choose this hotel and are american-take rice Krispy treats. They are her favourite) There is a courtyard too. Hotel is at one end of town but easy walk to the riverfront and a harder uphill march to the Castle. (It's all hard up hill unless you take the finicular.

Lovely service. The guy behind reception is brilliant and offers truly authentic and genuine service. He is a star. Hotel is very well situated and easy walking distance to everything, although that's generally the case in Ljubljana. Hotel is quaint. Nice traditional building and makes a change not being a chain style and ultra modern place, but this comes with its drawbacks. It is definitely not accessible so if you have any disability it will be a struggle. Bedroom was small and twee. Bathroom was disappointing and shower quite dangerous to get in and out of. Room had eaves and was not much wider than the (small) double bed so it was tight and you had to be careful at night to not bump your head if you needed to get up to use the bathroom. Certainly wasn't as spacious, with the additional seating area shown in the photos. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful and again the service was superb. 10/10 to the staff working there and thanks for your warm welcome.

What great hotel!! I have just returned to UK after spending an extended weekend at Allegro. It is in a fantastic location and the staff are so very much welcoming. Indeed, when my flight back to UK was cancelled, the staff were very understanding and helped me throughout the process of securing the room for another night, booking taxis etc and finding things to do for that extra day. A thank you should go to Luka for helping me arrange arrival transport but a special thank you to Joel and Sarah who were great hosts over the weekend. The room was spacious and the breakfast is plentiful. I am usually very critical in my reviews but I really cannot find anything I would improve. Very highly recommended.

It is a huge pleasure for me to send this email. |We chose Allegro hotel when planing a trip to Ljubljana for a special family occasion. We loved the deco and the location was perfect. As we were a group of 8 adults traveling we emailed the hotel to request accomodation to suit all 8. The response was so helpful and received prompt correspondence reassuring that we would all be accommodated. |On arrival at the hotel we were welcomed by Thomas who offered us complimentary drinks of our choice while he checked us all 8 into 4 different rooms. It was Thomas first day at the reception but he was efficient and friendly. |Every morning Sara met us at breakfast with a smile and offering a warm breakfast. She was extremely helpful in arranging a stunning birthday cake for us which arrived at the Hotel on the day. It was delicious!! Thank you Sara!|Through out our stay Joel was very helpful in making bookings for us for dinner in lovely restaurants, advice and inform about the city and sites. Nothing was too much for Joel and he made our stay so enjoyable.|Our flights were cancelled for 24 hours and again all 8 of us were accommodated at the hotel without any inconvenience on short notice. The rooms are warm, clean, large and comfortable. We loved the deco and the location but it was all the friendly staff at this hotel who made our stay memorable. |
