The Wyck Recommendation: Allen Burger Venture Rating: 3.7/5 Come for the Sauce, Stay for the Scene It’s 6:47 p.m. and someone’s tot just hit the pavement. A buzzed table claps, another orders picklebacks, and a kid walks by wearing a T-shirt that just says “MEAT.” Welcome to Allen Burger Venture. Part beer flight temple, part Buffalo street party. It’s packed, it’s proud, and somehow still pulling it off. What Was Ordered Beer flight with six mystery brews: cider, stout, something aggressively pink The Famous Tots — crispy orbs more hash-brown than tot, but dunked in that apple bacon sauce? Whole other level. The house sour cream was decent, but the apple dip stole the show. Tater-wise: they’re fine. Sauce-wise: elite. Service Commentary Despite the patio crowd and beer chaos, service held strong. Our server was friendly, attentive, and didn’t miss a beat. The kind of low-key excellent that keeps things running without trying too hard. No complaints, just good energy. Vibe Check Imagine a Buffalo beer nerd bar collided with a punk-themed Airbnb. Everyone’s slightly sunburnt, a few are flirting badly, and every table feels like it’s one drink away from starting a podcast. Loud, local, sweaty in a charming way. The Space Itself Inside: neon buffalo signs, low lighting, rainbow string lights, and enough barstools to rotate through three life crises Outside: umbrella forest. Split-level patios. Loud music. Uneven steps. Basically a backyard party thrown by someone with Yelp anxiety Bathroom hallway? One door has a rooster. One has a rabbit. And John Travolta is reading on the toilet. No further notes. About the Neighborhood Allen Street. Buffalo. You know the deal. Tattooed dads, cyclists drinking IPAs, weird art in windows. Easy to get to, hard to leave without bumping into someone from 2014. Hits and Misses ✓ Beer flight is fun and broad. Fruity to dark without filler ✓ Apple bacon dipping sauce deserves merch ✓ Vibe is laid-back chaos in the best way ✓ Service was friendly and efficient despite the crowd ✗ Taters are tasty but closer to fried stuffing balls than actual tots ✗ Restroom signage feels like a riddle from a barback’s dream ✗ Patio layout is a choose-your-own-adventure in stair navigation Final Verdict Allen Burger Venture feels like a local bar that grew up but never stopped partying. The tots were solid, but the sauces carried the team. We didn’t try the burgers this round — which, judging by the reviews, might’ve been the move. We’ll be back to test that theory. Until then: cheers, chaos, and apple bacon dip. Rating: 3.7 out of 5 Perfect For Third dates with beer snobs Recovering after your cousin’s art show

Google
Burger was good, a little bit too salty and too much pepper. Thats what mostly could sense from the burger taste. Fries were nice and so were tater tots. Waitress was super cool!

Google
Allen burger venture was a random Google that did not disappoint. Small(hole in the wall spot) popular place that I was able to have an amazing burger and fabulous tater tots, wings. The parking was interesting but I managed.. They have a bar, bar tables an outdoor patio and a few tables inside if you have a family. It’s one of those places you need on your bucket list. The food was faaaaaantastic, the waitress was very attentive & did I mention the burger was fantastic? Trying new places for burgers can be tough, but this was a good decision & you’re welcome in advance :o)

Google
The best burgers in Buffalo! No doubt about it. Truffle fries, a little parm and the great burger number 10 = perfection! Loved it.

Stopped in here while in town on business. Got a Double smash burger special they had. Just seemed kind of plain and the bottom roll was so soggy. The fries were good, the service was good. I would just pick a different burger next time.

Google
Delicious food! This is our go to burger joint in Buffalo. Prime location on Allen street and fun yet casual vibe. Our waitress Francesca made our visit extraordinary. She was humorous, attentive, and very engaging with the menu. She made you feel like you were the only people in the restaurant- truly makes this place go above and beyond!! I recommend this place to anyone in town!

Google
Terrible experience. Upon arrival, I stood there for about a minute until someone told me “seat myself” where I then waited for someone to greet me which never happened. A party of 4 walked in about 3 minutes after me who were approached immediately, seated, and waters brought over to them before anyone gave me a menu. So I decided to go sit at all the bar… If I didn’t ask the bartender for a drink or menu, lord knows how long I would’ve sat there with a drink. I ordted a #3 I think it was. Caramelized onions, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar. Temperature medium, DOUBLE. I waited a good 25 minutes for my burger with there only being maybe 6 people there? Burger was WELL DONE and they forgot the bacon.. I can’t believe I almost paid $27 for a double burger that wasn’t even close to perfect with some frozen cut fries. Fortunately, the bartender only charged me for the half of coke I drank..

Google
Great location on Allen, but unfortunately that’s about all it has going for it these days. Very sad to see how much the quality of this place has gone down since it opened. It used to to have hand cut fries and the burgers were a good size with a nice homemade brioche bun. Now they have just gave up and the fires are standard frozen, the bun is some weird biscuit/bun hybrid thing. It took forever to get our food. Sad to see. Used to be so good and consistent, don’t waste your money here especially with the prices for the quality.

Yelp
One of the best burgers I've had in my life! I walked 3 miles to get here. They do crunchy, tasty, buffalo wings but they do come at a hefty dollar at 8 pieces for $18 or so. The burger and truffle fries were so good and they make their own GF buns! It is a HUGE deal in the gf community. The service is great and the happy hour is also a good deal!

Yelp
Stopped here before seeing a play at Shea's on a Thursday. It wasn't challenging to find street parking and there were plenty of tables both inside and outside. And on a nice day, it is an easy walk to the theatre. Be sure to check out their specials, which typically change on a weekly basis. Obviously, you should try one of their burgers. Five: I love the unique combo of pb and burgers. I do wish the pb and jalapenos were more evenly distributed; almost a sloppy put together. The heat of the peppers help cut the sweetness of the peanut butter. One: The peppercorn seasoning took this burger to the next level. Juicy and plenty of savory mushrooms. Unfortunately they ran out of onion rings, so both my mom and I stuck with fries. But truly I can't complain, I ate EVERY SINGLE FRY. If you want a burger, this spot is worth checking out. Each one is $21 and comes with fries (pricey, but then again, what isn't these days). Tots, O-rings, and salad are available for an upcharge.

Yelp
So, after hearing the buzz about this place being "worth every penny," I thought, "Hey, why not?" I mean, I've been burned by overpriced burgers before, but this time, I was ready to believe the hype. Spoiler alert: I should have trusted my gut--and by gut, I mean my finely tuned burger-radar that screams "Danger!" when things are too good to be true. What did I get? An overcooked, flavorless burger covered in peanut butter, and fries that looked like they gave up on life halfway through. And the final twist of the knife? No Coke or Pepsi, just a glass of RC Cola. I'm not saying RC Cola is bad, but it's like expecting a symphony and getting a kazoo solo. I left feeling like the universe had played a cruel joke on me, I walked out defeated and my wallet weighing a lot less.

Yelp
I can't say enough about how awesome the food is here. I got the #9 which has pastrami, Gruyère cheese and grilled onions on a burger. It also comes with a cup of au jus to dip in and that was killer. I can't overstate how fantastic that whole thing was. I upgraded my side to tots for $3 and glad I did. They're not your standard tots, they're basically little fried balls of mashed potato. They come with a cup of white sauce which was some kind of bacon blue cheese sauce maybe. I highly suggested upgrading to the tots for your side. We came for lunch when it wasn't very busy so our kids didn't cause any distraction but I could see at night this being less geared towards littles.

Yelp
Indulged in a flight of the bourbon dynasty tonight and I don't regret it. The 12 year Van Winkle Special Reserve Lot B was my favorite. I visit a fair amount of whiskey bars and have not seen one with a flight offering like this. Excellent!

Yelp
I love the burgers here! I always have to upgrade my fries to truffle fries too! I ordered a special burger this time and it was cooked perfectly!

Yelp
Our food came out so fast, which was awesome! TEN - med rare 10/10 Caramelized Onions, Arugula, Warm Gruyere Cheese, Applewood Smoked Bacon, Balsamic Reduction: Really good burger, cooked to medium rare perfectly with warm pink inside. It was very juicy and you could taste every single ingredient on the burger. I loved how the arugula added so much more freshness. NINE - med rare 10/10 Smoked Pastrami, Gruyere Cheese, Carmelized Onion Aioli, Weck Roll: Very juicy and a fantastic pastrami flavor, just enough salt and seasoning. Tater Tots 8/10 These tots are great, don't get me wrong, but ever since I've had First Line Brewing and Steel Leaf Brewing's loaded tater kegs, there's nothing that even comes close to them as far as a tater tot. Check out my reviews for more info. As far as ABV- they're cooked perfect, awesome crisp on the outside, nice and soft inside. Love the chives, but they do need a little more salt and flavor in general.

Yelp
great spot for unique burgers - they have a burger for everyone's taste buds. my personal favorite is the peanut butter and jalapeño burger. never would have thought of something like this, but after one bite it makes so much sense! the beer/cocktail selection is also pretty great too. ambiance works for a dinner and some drinks with friends, family, or a little date night. definitely recommend!

Yelp
Allen Burger Venture will truly have you wanting to come back again and again. The burger options are so much fun and I know I want to try them all. The restaurant is nice inside and has a chill atmosphere. There is outside seating available as well when the weather is right! The entire staff was super friendly and our service was great. Even when we had a missing item, they jumped on it and did it up right. The food itself got very positive reviews overall from our party. Someone who got the salad loved the freshness of the ingredients and how well the flavors came together. The others including myself got burgers. The one thing we all agreed upon is that the burgers themselves slightly missed the mark on the type of cook we asked for and the burger itself just tasted like a burger. That is the one thing that slightly missed the mark here, but don't get me wrong that didn't make it bad. Everything that goes onto these burgers depending on what you get is what really shines. The pulled pork I had was phenomenal and would have more of that just by itself, truly incredible. The fries were also very good, well made and seasoned. Allen Burger Venture is easy to recommend and there is absolutely something for everyone here. We never when we will be back in the area but until then I hope all of you Enjoy!!

Yelp
Went for a friend's birthday - 6 of us on a Saturday night at 6 PM and it was nice! ABV is always good. Ahi Tuna burger was good, but came with so many peppers! Felt like a side of peppers. Fries are always good. Lobster roll was good also - didn't have high expectations but was craving one. Lobster salad was tasty. The roll didn't seem to be toasted and wasn't warm at all so I only ate half. We got the calamari also which was pretty standard - good. The bench seating is not comfortable and cocktails took a little bit since they were busy. Always a fun spot to go but not my first pick. Nothing bad though!

Yelp
We did a call ahead take out order for 9 people for lunch at the office. They were very efficient with taking the order and it was ready within 45 minutes. I believe I spoke with Thomas at pick up and he was super sweet and offered to help me carry the order out. I personally ordered the candied garlic burger and the flavors were incredible! No complaints from anyone regarding any of their orders!
google avatar

Rachel A.

Yelp
Portions were really big and everything was delicious, but certain thins could have been improved. The Two was a bit salty, but the fries could have been more salted. The DDD sauce was a bit of a disappointment to be honest. I was expecting it to be really spicy but it wasn't at all. Service was great and really loved the music that they had on. Certainly nostalgic hits!

Yelp
I hadn't been here since they first opened but I'm glad they have improved! Since it was almost time for the late night menu when we got there we opted for apps and the boozy hot chocolate. Delicious and strong lol! The calamari wasn't as crispy as I like it but the truffle fries were good. Probably go back to try some other apps next time! We were seated immediately and the waiter was very attentive. It wasn't crowded or loud either which was a plus. I think we need to check out the late night happy hour menu next time too!

Franklin N.

Yelp
Wow. That's the only word I could use to describe my experience. Our bartender, (don't have a name) was incredible. Very knowledgeable and offered great recommendations, first of which was I did not need a second burger (despite my many attempts at ordering one). Service was great, her timing was impeccable as I thought she forgot I ordered another drink, but let's be honest! I didn't need one that soon, I could wait! The ambiance could not have been more immersive, as when we asked about why the AC was cranked up so high, she said "it matches my cold dead heart". Poetry in motion. 10/10 will be back next week.
google avatar

Yelp
people rave about this place but every time I've been disappointed. I can't be too upset because I always choose the "quirky" option, the burger I feel like I can't get anywhere else...and I've learned there's a reason for that. Because those burgers are BAD!!! I've tried the peanut butter and banana pepper one so far and they are both...weird and bad. Just go with the classics if you want to come here, it'll be satisfying enough. Just Don't be adventurous
google avatar

Yvette L.

Yelp
Beverages & burgers...hubby enjoyed the whiskey options as well as his burger. We picked the 2nd night of the NFL draft. So we had a 45 min wait because we didn't want to sit outside, kinda cold out. Once seated, in front of the open patio door service began. I don't want to blame my cold truffle fries and slow service on the waitress but I can't think of anything else. Especially because she never updated us on our food status. After waiting about 60 mins to receive dinner, I will admit that my turkey burger was good. Don't think I'm exaggerating time because the table behind us asked how long we waited for our meals since they were seated before us AND still waiting to be fed.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in the city. No matter how many times I've visited, it never disappoints! Burgers are quality, fries are great, staff is super friendly, I don't really have any complaints.
google avatar

Morgan F.

Yelp
Best burgers in Buffalo! I have tried most of the burgers on their menu and personally like the number one the best. I highly recommend ordering the tater tots instead of the fries. It is worth the small up charge. The inside and outside seating areas are on the smaller side and they fill up quickly. I recommend coming earlier for dinner to get seated quickly. But, it is worth the wait!

Yelp
We found the ABV while we visited the Art Gallery in the morning and wanted to check out Allentown. Allentown is still a little under construction, so not many places are open. They are redoing all the sidewalks and roads. It's almost done! The ABV was pretty busy when we showed up after lunch. We sat at the bar and the bar tender was quite friendly. We both had burgers and they came out nice and hot and cooked just as we ordered them. The fries were great, and I would definitely go back again.

Yelp
A friend of mine and I went to lunch on a Friday and it was the perfect day outside, so we did get to sit on Allen Burger Venture's patio. I must note, Allen is being worked on around ABV and parking is extremely difficult. Give yourself enough time to park to meet your friends, etc. The napkins are stored in a wooden cigar box on the tables outside, which I thought was an ingenious way of reusing fancy cigar boxes. The patio is decorating wonderfully and is inviting. I ordered the smash burger with fries, and so did my friend. We enjoyed the simple burger. This is my second time visiting ABV, and the first time I ordered a crazy burger that was also delicious, but I wanted something simpler. The fries are killer and the burger was great, only containing the patty, cheese and pickles. Good flavor.

Amy J.

Yelp
So disappointed! This has been one of our favorites, but service tonight was awful. Waited forever for our food--server never came over. Watched her talking and dancing in the back, Never checked on drinks or take dirty appetizer dishes. Finally asked the hostess to send our server over. She came over and we asked about our food. It came two minutes later ice cold. It had clearly been ready for a while but she wasn't paying attention. Sadly, I don't think we will return.
google avatar

Daviyion J.

Yelp
Went for late night bite and a drink with a friend and ABV did not disappoint. The food and the service were great and really enjoyed my cocktail that night. For food, we had the DDD Nashville Hot Chicken and the Calamari. Both tasted delicious and I definitely recommend the chicken if you're looking for a lite bite. Drink-wise, I had the Airmail as my drink of choice and it was well made and tasted great. It was rum, sparkling wine, honey, and lime. Internsive atmosphere I would definitely recommend enjoying the outside at least while the weather's nice and they even have a fire pit area.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was great. Cozy atmosphere with Christmas lights on the ceiling. We stopped in for a few beers and some wings to hold us over until dinner. We had an order of buffalo wings and an order of Korean barbecue wings. Both were dynamite, with just the right amount of crispness . Beer selection was good as well. Served ice cold. My sister-in-law did struggle with the bathrooms, as she could not figure out if she was a chicken or a cat. (I will leave it to you, dear reader, to figure out how to decipher that...). Our server was great, and gave us some nice recommendations for other bars to pop into as we were from out of town.

Savannah C.

Yelp
Never in my life have I written a Yelp review. This burger convinced me to. It was the avocado toast burger - a special. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Margery Z.

Yelp
Loud music playing, but someone turned it down, slightly. I was offered inside or outside seating, i asked about the bees and was told the bees are pretty bad, so sitting inside. Very large burger menu, but also "alternatives", like salmon blt, a lamb burger and a lobster roll. Hard wooden benches or seats with no backs at the high tops. I ordered the salmon BLT. It is a very large/high sandwich, but I soon discovered not easy to eat. The roll was not stale, but it did nit seem quite fresh and fell apart when I picked up the sandwich. I asked for "light" avocado aioli. There was a lot of what looked like mayo with small pieces of cut up avocado in it. I scraped it off! The salmon was a salmon patty. It was warm enough, but needed seasoning. The bacon was HOT, temperature-wise. It had good flavor once it was cooled a bit to eat comfortably. There were two nice slices of tomato which looked like a freshly picked local tomato, not a grocery store hot house one. The lettuce was shredded and so a lot of it fell out of the roll. There was a generous serving of French fries with my sandwich. There is an outdoor patio, but I was told that the bees have been a problem, as is the case all over town at this time of year. So I sat inside on the hard bench with the loud music( even though the volume was adjusted it was still' rather loud.). Yes, the outside seats are the same hard wood and mostly high tops too.

Yelp
I can see why this spot is known for its burgers. It's because they taste so good. Cooked to perfectionEven though I got my burger well cooked, it still was moist and juicy. The bun was toasted yet still soft on the outside, with a lingering sweetness. I added bacon and cheddar & gruyere cheeses and all the fixings that makes a burger a burger, and onion rings instead of fries If I'm ever in Buffalo and the neighborhood again, I'll be sure to stop by for another fantastic burger. Way to go

Brad M.

Yelp
5 stars for inventive and well executed burgers, thoughtful drink menu and great beer selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Listen, it's burgers and salads.....but really well prepared with great ingredients. Smashburger, homemade tater tots (!!), massive salad w/ green beans and toms. Not many options in Buffalo on a Sunday but this place hits it out of the park seven days/week. Really fun, well done.

Yelp
ABV is the place to be if you want to start your evening off right. The vibe is cool almost have you thinking that you're in a club, (because of the time I came 7pm). The lighting was dim with a purplish/blue tone & it's kind of dark inside. Also the seating is fairly close, this was surprising to me during these Covid times. I feel a few tables should be removed to open up the place a bit. Would I come back? Probably not. If I did though, it would be for the drinks. The order- #4-All American cheeseburger with LTO and a sauce. I really enjoyed how fresh everything on the burger was. I didn't have that heavy, "awww why did I eat that burger" feeling that lingers for hours. But, for me the burger was just to plain. I felt it lack some better seasonings on the patty itself. The Big Daddy- Grilled cheese burger made completely different than I thought. I expected a burger sandwiched in between two grilled cheese sandwiches. What I got was a burger with the bun inside out, with the cheese melted on the top of the bun. Again, even this burger lacked flavor. Truffled Parmesan wings- If you like sauce you'll love these. I really didn't taste the truffle. But the wings were crispy and had a white sauce with Parmesan flakes on top. The sauce almost reminded me of Alfredo. Last thoughts- I would like for ABV to look into changing the type of cheese they are using for their burgers. I think using a more gooey cheese would do wonders. Nothing beats biting into a burger and seeing a string of cheese bridging the gap.

Yelp
I've had this place bookmarked forever. Service is friendly and warm. The restaurant is cold. They have a variety of beers on tap, including local and ones I've never heard of. I had a Riesling and then I tried a raspberry blueberry ale because I mixed up the proof and the price. Oops. We shared the calamari. It was well made. The tentacles were huge. My husband was a little disappointed with his burger, but enjoyed the second half as a leftover the next day. Something with onions. I had the one with an egg. Super filling. I upped my fries to truffle. Good flavor, but we wished the fries were crispier. Only cats and roosters are allowed to use the restrooms. No idea what that's all about.
google avatar

Joanne S.

Yelp
The smash burger is not a smash burger. Super disappointing when you consider a place that won "awards" for their burger. It's just a regular patty. Apparently the wait staff told the owner and he refuses to change it. Must be delusional. Anyways leaving this here as a PSA for other burger lovers.
google avatar

C M.

Yelp
Excellent all around. Great service! Relaxed atmosphere. The food has always been fresh. Only issue was my SO's soft bacon. Yuck. Hopefully that was a one off. I'll go back for sure.
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
Burgers super good and cooked to request and interesting menu for those wanting something other than a burger. I was surely tempted by the lobster roll! Service was friendly and efficient. Checked in on us often. Nice cocktail and beer selection and a cute patio seating area.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
This is really 3 1/2 stars. The ambience is cool retro with Stainglass windows salvaged from old houses decorating the storefront windows. The table tops are cool hard wood with iron seats. Cool bar area also. The service was unbelievable our waiter was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. But let's get to the most important thing --the food. It was average, it was really average. I had the smash burger with onion rings and it was average, just average. I'll try it again if my friends want to go but I would never seek it out on my own.

Yelp
Can I be honest with you guys? This half-eaten, topless (so scandalous), burger picture I took on my porch right after I got home is the only one I snapped all night. And I'm sorry about it. Truly. But she still looks pretty magnificent through the phone, doesn't she? Listen, I never save leftovers when I go out to eat. Ever. I always clear my plate. But do you know why I went home with half of a burger in a to-go box tonight? I went home with half of a specialty, applewood bacon, Buffalo & bleu cheese, bison burger (that paired perfectly with my hand cut fries & peach/mango cider) in a to-go box tonight, because I genuinely needed a minute alone with that piece of perfection to fully appreciate the rest of the masterpiece that it was. I literally had to relook up the menu to see what I ordered, because I was so in love with the moment I was having with that burger that I forgot what I was eating. I was so lost in its crispy onions & buttery, toasted buns that I forgot I was in conversation with a friend. So I stopped & saved it for later. And thank god I did, because then I remembered I was still on planet earth & got to appreciate everything else ABV had to offer. Eclectic, funky decor! Perfectly dimmed lighting! The most down-to-earth waitstaff ever! And keep in mind this is on a Friday night during restaurant week when a group of 40 folks just walked in. It was a stressful tornado behind the scenes, I'm sure, yet they remained on top of our table with smiles on their faces & quick-witted banter the entire time. So not expected, but endlessly appreciated. Oh, also, to the vegetarians, pescatarians, & vegans: they had some delicious looking options for all of you. I will most definitely be back!

Yelp
Wow. Honestly, I can say that this place has the best burgers I have ever had. I am not a huge burger person, but Allen Burger Venture came highly recommended and definitely did not disappoint. The service was quick and efficient, the employees were very helpful and kind, and as I already mentioned, the food was absolutely out of this world. The hype is definitely worth it and if you find yourself in the area, please stop by! The burger menu offers 13 specialties. There are also salad options, alternative burgers, smash burgers, and shared plates. I eventually decided on Burger #11, Bourbon Bacon and Brown Sugar Marmalade (I was already sold there) with Crumbled Goat Cheese. I added a side of jalapeños because I wanted some additional heat and Housemade Tots as an up charge. Wow. Absolutely delicious. The meat itself was seasoned really well but the flavor combinations were fantastic! I really loved the Tots too, you could tell they were made fresh. My only complaint is there are only 5 in an order, I immediately order more as soon as I tried the first one. My party also ordered Burger #5, which is Jiffy Peanut Butter, Pickled Jalapeños, Applewood Bacon, White Cheddar & White Cheddar, and the Salmon Bahn Mi Alternative Burger, which is a thick cut of Salmon with Cilantro, Carrot, Jalapeño, Cucumber & Sriracha. Both were my second and third options if I didn't order #11, all there absolutely delicious. I love that their alternative menu included veggie, fish, and other options! It's not common to find that at a burger place and they were all done really well! I highly recommend this place. Outside of fantastic food and great service, the interior design is really cool. It was such a fun experience and I cannot WAIT to go back. Truly, the #11 is calling my name. I hope you find yourself there soon too. Let's Go, Buffalo!! Happy Eating!!

Yelp
Food was delicious. I had a chicken burger. Others at my table had beef. Everything was fresh and hot. We arrived early-11:30. Service was good. We sat outside but had to come inside because of a " wasp problem." The inside had an industrial feel, nicely decorated.

Yelp
Burgers were great! Our waitress was friendly and gave us great recommendations. Thank you, Lotty! Also, loved being able to sit outside. We will definitely return when we're back in Buffalo.

Yelp
I decided on this spot because I wanted to try Buffalo wings in Buffalo, NY! I ended up ordering a basket of buffalo wings, truffle fries, and I tried some of the onion rings my grandmother ordered. The onion rings were perfect. Probably the best onion rings I've had (I don't eat them often but I'm sure they rank in the top 10 across the US). The buffalo wings were huge. I was unfortunately still half full from my previous meal so I couldn't eat as many as I wanted but I liked them. The truffles fries were delicious and there was a lot so that was awesome. The ambiance was great, I loved the colorful lights hanging throughout and that there were albums plastered all over some of the walls. I thought that was really unique. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Buffalo!

Rolled up with family of 5 at 8:50 pm Had to wait 5 minutes for one of three waitresses to tell us the was not table service because it stopped at 8:30. Rude staff with no concept of customer service. This is how restaurants go downhill when staff are more anxious to go home than service your guests. Won't be coming back. EVER.

Yelp
Allen Burger Venture is the place that I would like my day to end every night.  The service is fantastic.  They have craft beer, spirits, cocktail and wine.  They also have food offerings later in the evening.  What a perfect way to end a night before you get home. I have only been here twice.  And twice, this is where I  ended my night. And why? Great drink offerings, great service, and great food up until a point.  And, this is hilarious, you might also get a little entertainment at the end of the night.  Allen Burger Venture is in a section of Allentown that has a robust night life.

Yelp
This most definitely my go to place for a burger but not just "A" burger but THE burger. Here they offer 18 burgers plus a variety of alternate burgers. Bison burgers are available and you can substitute bison for the beef. I have had many of the burgers offered here as well as the vast beer selections. They also have a nice selection of whis

Yelp
I really hate to be this person - but the atmosphere here is awful. I'm only rating it 1 star because the burger itself was good but the establishment as a whole is horrible. The service was terrible. 0/5. My partner and I decided to stop in there for our anniversary. We were seated right away. there was about 10ish people there including the staff. We waited 20 mins for them to bring a menu and some water. Then it took them another 20 mins for them to even come take our order. The hostess and waitresses were unfriendly, unkind, and stood at the bar on their phone, making conversation with each other. Don't even get me started on me asking questions about the menu. God forbid I didn't know what a smash burger was. The condescending attitude was really rude. I'm sorry but I would never step foot in this establishment again and I'll be sure to tell all of my family and friends to stay away as well. Even McDonald's service was better than this experience. Just really sad and disappointed. Will not be back.

Yelp
Been here a few times. Popped in for a quick drink and food around 8:30 on a weeknight. Nice little modern industrial style pub that does fancy burgers and other things like that. Good draft beer and bourbon selection. Had the candied garlic burger and truffle fries.. was honestly fantastic, sort of a specialty burger among their specialty burgers.. probly a top 5 burger for me, truffle fries were great too. Good atmosphere and good bar service. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I'll tell you what people aren't talking about at Allen Burger Venture, the basic single Smash Burger with fries for $14.. This burger is a great value. It's fantastic as is or it's a great base to take home and add other fixin's (which I have done). This is a basic burger and I mean this in the most complimentary sense. It's bread, meat, cheese, pickles, and nothing else. You don't need anything else either. The patty is flavorful and perfectly cooked, the cheese brings some nice flavor too however it's the (homemade??) B&B pickles that not only make this burger but steal the show... I don't like B&B pickles except these. The flavor of the pickles cuts through the heaviness of the beef fat and flavor bringing balance to this burger. It's the simplicity of this flavor profile that makes this burger so special. Sometimes though you want more of a burger but nowadays that can get pricey. This burger is great for a budget and that's because there is no sauce on it making it perfect to bring home and gussey up however one likes. I've done this and it works great. The fries here are great too. They reheat really nicely in the oven.

Yelp
Had the Parmesan wings--they are breaded/deep fried. They did not taste like the Parmesan sauce poured onto them nor were they seasoned. Will not order again. The onion rings were good--crispy and not greasy.

Yelp
We're out-of-towners (Philly, lest you think we come from a place with mediocre food options) who stumbled in here by chance. Lucky us! Incredible food and service. Nice atmosphere and wide beer selection. Have I mentioned the incredible food? And we'd already had burgers for lunch and didn't want more, so ate other things. Perfect salad. Perfect tuna. Thank goodness we pass through Buffalo routinely.

Yelp
Delicious bison burger, I was looking fora healthier burger and this place has it. I will admit that I don't think mash potatoes fit this burger, so I would remove that topping, or better yet, ask to get another burger you like and sub it for bison. I also upgraded to truffle fries, well worth the upgrade.

Yelp
I was hesitant to try this place because the restaurant has a very hipster vibe to me and those kinds of places tend to have great atmospheres but mediocre foods; however I had a very positive experience at Allen Burger Venture. Great selection of draft beer and various selection of burgers. Their burgers are apparently made with dry-aged grass fed beef. Honestly no complaints with their drinks, food, and service since everything was great . The only downside to this place was that the wait was terribly long. There are no waiting areas so you have to either leave then come back or squeeze into a tight space standing with your group with the rest of the group of people who are also waiting. Overall would definitely recommend and will likely return soon.
