Alleppey Backwaters Boating

In our entire Kerala tour its our last day, and it's the dessert after food. It's like a final treat from lovely Kerala. Booked a boat for a day long roaming and exploring the famous backwater of Alleppey. Believe me it's an amazing experience. The whole day at a house boat only for us, food and drink whenever we needed. We loved the food Specially given at boat. If something is not available at boat then we just have to take a halt at bank and we can buy it just like we buy some fishes from a fish shop, or sometime shop at small motor boat will come to you if you just wave by your hand. The house boat was very clean with one bedroom and attached bathroom. although we have spend all the time at the upper deck of the boat. The scenary was mind-blowing, it's just blue and green in front of your eyes. We back from here with a heart full of joy.

Wonderful boating experience on the vast backwaters of Alleppey. It was the last day of our Kerala trip and was memorable. Not just the houseboats and backwaters, but the greenary around the water was also heavenly.

It is a great experience. In the middle of backwaters. Good food. Good facilities available in houseboat. We can spend a full day, night also, in the house boat. Plenty of room in house boat. It is a good vacation plan. It would be good to have a bunch of people. Else it would be boring. You get vegetarian or non vegetarian food as per your request.

It is a beautiful experience to keep boating on the still waters... with lush greenary and cod wind blowing, it's an enjoyable ride... price varies for different types of boats and the number of hours you want to travel... It's a must do ride when in alleppey

Alleppey backwater boating, its very good and lifetime memorable experience. About Thousands of houseboats are moving on that punnamada kayal. Its very amazing scene. Houseboat facilities are different on basis of their sizes. They supply welcome drinks in morning, super kerala style food in lunch time and tea snacks on evening.

I booked a shikara, type boat from this people, the contact person name was Baiju. 1. The parking was the side of a house from where we had to walk 300m. 2. There were only 4 chairs and two divan on the boat. So I asked them to put more chairs. 3. There were no gates at the entry. I have a 2 year old kid. So when I asked them for the gates, he told me he cannot look after my kid🙏 4. There were only 2 life jackets for 12 of us. When I told him he said he has 25 life jackets at his home. 5. There was no music system. 6. There were no fans. 7. There are no safety grills either side of the boat. I was still ready to go with him if he made the basic arrangements. But he was just showing his attitude and telling me that he waited 45 min extra for me, causing loss to him. According to him you should stay happy with whatever he gives and pay him whatever he asks, and not make fuss about silly things like safety. I wish him the best running a business with that attitude. Still giving two stars because he claims he has better boats to offer, and I hope mine is an odd incident. I rode on a much better boat with all facilities and comfort at a lesser price by just asking the next guy on the lake. We really had a wonderful time, because we didn't go with him 😀 My advice if it's for day ride just go there and book a shikara after seeing it.

Excellent trip in the day cruise. The staff has given warm welcome and the owner Mr Baiju was very reasonable with the prices and helped us way more.. The hospitality here is uniques such is the experience in the backwaters leaves mesmerizing and speechless.

Good experience with scenic beauty and different type of birds on the way. We reached golden sand beach after 1hr through backwaters.
