This system has consistently been the biggest headache that I face in my line of work, when it comes down to it and you need to document, there will always be an error in your way to delete whatever you put in or redirect you 5 menus back from where you need to be. It actively works against your workflow, and frequently goes down for hours unannounced. By far the most unintuitive design for a website I have seen.

Absolute garbage programming. The system constantly logs you out or redirects you to the home screen in the middle of what you're working on. It randomly duplicates documents and medication orders that you enter in, and has an affinity for locking you out from signing your work until you've logged out and logged back in, having to repeat what you just did. Menus behind menus behind menus, all with incredibly slow response times from their servers makes getting even the most basic of tasks completed a complete headache. Their IT team is incapable of fixing these glitches that have plagued myself and coworkers. They have sent people to our location to observe the problems we've been having months ago, yet there are still no fixes. The customization that was touted to us was also nonsense, as simply reworking our housing lists is something that has been unable to happen. As well, the system chooses to randomly forget your client sort preferences, and has a pretty awful color scheme, with a penchant for placing light colors over white, making segments difficult to read. Please, please, please! Take these 1-star reviews to heart, and know that they would all be 0-stars if possible. I have read them myself, and they are completely consistent with the issues we have been experiencing at our facility. Do not choose Alleva for your company's charting. It will be a massive regret...

Before considering please review other poor reviews. They can't be understated and share the exact same frustrations. This is a rebranded Dazos product. The CRM in my opinion is still in beta phase 1.5 years into using it. It also costs our facility the most money. There is very few issues alleva programming can fix leading to LONG wait times as they push the problems to dazos. A few months ago they are no longer handling crm issues (because they cant?) and got an email from dazos saying for MORE money they can assist in streamlining process and fixing things. Its poorly programmed, on top of a multitude of issues our journey began with them saying dont save username or passwords because it will mess up the system and they cant figure out why. Slow servers, logging in and out mid session requiring more entry and updates that then break previous working functionality. If you are a facility with zero previous forms or operating procedures and solely use Alleva forms, it MIGHT work. For anyone looking to transfer forms already existing, an intuitive program that populates info into other areas, or a responsive programming team for fixes, STAY AWAY. Multiple points of entry over and over and a system that they claim is customizable but ultimately breaks the system with most changes or wording due to mapping. Do yourself and staff a favor and look elsewhere. One positive thing I can say so this review doesn't come off as an unfounded angry customer is the "customer success manager" we have is polite and typically prompt however the problems are ultimately not fixed or solved through them. Its requires the programmers in most cases and tickets submitted. In some weird way it was almost a relief to finally look at reviews and see other facilities experiencing the same problems.

BE PREPARED TO PAY $6 PER CLIENT RECORD WHEN YOU DECIDE TO TERMINATE YOUR CONTRACT. Please read ALL Reviews before you sign a contract with Alleva and take them serious. Alleva is not suitable for behavioral health services, particular in 245G, 245F (Outatient, Residential and Withdrawal Management/Detox) facilities in Minnesota. Their system lacks the capability to transfer data between forms, which can lead to significant inefficiencies. Furthermore, ending a contract with them is notoriously difficult and can be a stressful process. The high cost of their services is simply not justified. If you're considering using Alleva, be prepared for potential issues, such as being unexpectedly logged out during critical tasks like assessments, data not saving and creating more work for your staff. UPDATE: During a recent call with our Customer Success Manager on 7/1/2025, it was communicated that Alleva is unable to address the issues with our forms due to the volume of its 400+ contracts and the company’s rapid growth. We were told that support was more flexible in the past when the company was smaller, but these types of requests are no longer a priority and we are expected to fix our own forms and if we need assistance, it could be through Alleva University/Knowledge Base. In addition to the unresolved form issues, we have raised several ongoing concerns, including: • Users being signed out during active sessions and losing data • Page randomly refreshing and bringing you back to the Home page • Client photos not displaying correctly (now showing as “?”) • Limited or ineffective assistance from support team • Issues with under insurances section, the document preview feature not functioning properly • Multiple insurance providers appearing in the system that we do not use whereas previously, only our active insurances were visible and the rest were marked as inactive. Unfortunately, it has become increasingly evident that our concerns are not being prioritized. New features continue to be launched while longstanding issues raised by agencies go unaddressed. Moreover, it is clear that the company no longer prioritizes the needs of the early partners who supported Alleva during its initial growth phase. This shift has had a direct and negative impact on our daily operations. Expect to have endless Zoom meetings that result in NOTHING! Take your money elsewhere and do not waste your time with a company that does not prioritize its customers. We would also caution against being swayed by the sales pitch, as our experience did not align with the expectations set during the onboarding process.Thankfully, our contract terms are coming to an end soon.

If I could only give this product 0 stars, I would. I cannot even begin to explain the unbelievable customer service delays, the lack of follow-up, and the amount of time it takes to facilitate basic changes in the CRM. DO NOT DO IT! It should tell you something when they only respond to positive reviews, publicly.

Alleva is an incredible organization. They are leaders with the substance abuse space for EMR and billing services. I’ve personally worked at organizations that utilize Alleva and I can’t say enough positive things about their customer service and warm staff. Very grateful for service providers like Alleva. Keep doing great work!

Super irritating program to work with. It will redirect the redirection. It won't save work at times and randomly delete stuff.
