Very intriguing experience at Allianz Francaise de Singapour
I was looking forward to enrolling in a French class with AF using my SkillsFuture credits. However, I was told that the application could only be completed in person. To avoid any inconvenience, I emailed the Centre beforehand to confirm on their opening hours.
When I arrived before 7pm, the centre was empty and I was asked to wait for the admin staff who was in a call. 5 minutes later, I was then informed that the admin staff had left for the day and that I would need to return another day - despite being told earlier that the Centre was open until 7.30pm.
I was left confused and perplexed by this sudden change in availability when I was in fact, on time. Additionally, as this is an adult course and most participants would be working professionals, most of us would only be able to reach the Centre after regular office hours
As an avid learner of French, I am disappointed to have missed the opportunity to pick up the language. Nonetheless, I would like to propose some suggestions for the centre/ prospective students
1. Update the stated operating hours to 7pm, since staff are no longer available beyond that time
2. Consider extending operating hours to accommodate adult learners who can only visit after office hours.
3. Prospective students should call the centre and make an appointment beforehand to ensure availability
