Allium

Four of us had lunch here recently. This is a restaurant in a hotel in the centre of bath. There was a fixed price menu and an a la carte. The fixed price menu looked so good we didn't need to go a la carte, although our friends did. The food is elegant, predominantly French, and very pretty on the plate. There was a good mix of fish and meat dishes plus some vegetarian. The three course fixed price was £25 which was good value, and portions were good. They have a great chef here with some imaginative food. Staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. We will definitely return.

I visited with my husband and was extremely impressed, the food, wine and service were second to none. The manager Ryan Hanson personally greeted us and checked periodically throughout the evening. I would recommend without hesitation and am actually going back to Bath this weekend for my husbands birthday and will definitely be eating there again!

"This isn't food... this is witchcraft!" Fantastic food at a reasonable price. The chicken breast was absolutely phenomenal, possible the best chicken dish I have ever had. Good service and a good atmosphere. Definately worth it.

Fantastic food very elegantly served with great staff. So why the 3 start review? Woman at the next table was allowed to bring her dog in... Seriously! A lovely restaurant and they allow people to sit with animals on their laps...

Ok so the bar in this place is actually good. Nice vibe etc. Service a bit slow, but it was ok. The restaurant decor is totally weird. Looked something out of a cheesie Florida hotel. Pastal colours with bamboo seats - very very weird. Now the good bit - the food. Bloody hell it was fantastic. I had the chicken - I think it was the best I have ever had. GF had the duck - bloody lovely, but that chicken - wow. Highly highly recommend this place for the food. Not too expensive. The deserts are good also....wow that chicken......

With exceptional food like what we experienced It's not going to be long before the chef, Chris Staines, receives his first Michelin Star. Brilliant service and atmosphere makes the Allium Brasserie one of the top restaurants in the UK at the moment. We will be back!

It's a beautifull restaurant, and you can simply tell when the plates arrives that the quality is there, the products are delicious and very well cooked with lots of imagination in the plate. The dishes are very nice, and you hesitate to eat it not wanting to break the work of art... Being french i'll say, "watch out Gordon R competitioin is coming is on a way"....

Free tap water with ice, free bread and butter at spreadable temperature, to start. The staff are amazing. The food though is not one of the best... I still recommend it, I think!

Great food, great service. This restaurant is part of the Bath Abbey Hotel. It is small, but has a very unique menu. The decor is trendy with Lofi Chill music playing in the background. Very creative drink menu, making choosing difficult. I caved and took the Negroni and my wife chose the Madame Suzette. Both excellent. They have a kids menu and a very good Set Menu plus a la carte for adults. I started with the Leek and Feta soup and finished with the Braised Pork Belly. Both excellent. The Leek Soup had potatoes, feta cheese cubes, and black sesame seeds. My wife chose the Plaice and my daughter chose the kids beef slider. Both loved their dishes. We all had dessert. I ordered the Salted Caramel Tart having never tried it. Cannot say it was for me but was made well and had a good flavor. I also ordered a Somerset Apple Brandy. Fantastic. Need to find a shop where I can get a bottle. Overall best dinner so far in Bath. We would definitely come back.
