Wow! If I could give 10 stars, I would easily do so. The restaurant is small but what it lacks in size, it makes up in attention to detail, and an amazing dining experience. Reservations are highly recommended in order to get yourself a table. As soon as we got in, we were greeted and seated. Our server did a wonderful job of explaining the menu and answering questions. We started with the sourdough bread which is made on the premises (very good), served with a brown butter. It was served warm and was delicious. For our appetizer round we shared the pork belly. It was decadent! For our entrees my girlfriend had the duck and I had the elk. Both fishes were outstanding. This was the first time I had elk and it was so tender and flavorful. My girlfriend enjoyed her duck as well. Each enter was played beautifully. For the dessert round we shared a rhubarb tart and it was different but so good. Everyone from the staff was attentive and friendly ensuring our dining experience was top notch. We will be back.

Google
ALLIUM Eatery was absolutely amazing. A completely unique menu with palate pleasing, unique dishes. We started with a "smokey the pear" and " Immunity boost" cocktail.....both delicious! Followed that up with Dew drop cabbage with chicken and a Pork Ciabatta sandwich. Again... out of this world. We were very full but could not pass up the Rhubarb Torte....woo hoo!!! Don't miss this one... I've been told the dinner menus are even better. Small place so if you go for dinner and make sure you make a reservation!

Google
Wonderful dining experience in every way. A perfect combination of upscale delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere. I think this is the first restaurant I have eaten at that requires the entire order at once that I have been happy with the pacing of the meal. Never felt rushed and there was a perfect amount of time between each course. Started with Simon’s bread with beet butter. Crusty dense bread with great flavor and the butter was delicious. Asparagus soup was so light but you got a hint of asparagus in every bite. The addition of the scallops made it luxurious. The pork belly I think was the best I have ever had. So perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. The duck duo was cooked well and flavorful, the dumpling took it over the top, delicious . The steak was also delicious but cooked a little under for me. Carrot cake was great. There were no raisins in the cake ( my preference) but there were plump soft raisins on top so you could have it either way. The special dessert was pineapple cookies and sauce. Absolutely cannot describe it with justice but it was delicious, the pineapple was warm and very soft in flavor, not tangy. I think my only disappointment was the immunity boost cocktail. I was expecting a gingery spice in the flavor but it tasted like a regular margarita. A good margarita but not what I expected. I highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to return to try more options.

Google
Allium is our go-to for date night and family dinner. It’s a guaranteed delicious meal made from farm-fresh ingredients, beautifully curated and thoughtfully prepared. And the service is impeccable. Tonight my husband and I enjoyed the zucchini blossoms, bison tartare and lamb belly to start, with a crisp Sancerre, followed by halibut and a gorgeous vegetarian entree. I’m including a photo of the menu so you can read all ingredients. Also including a photo of a juicy Pinot Noir recommenced by our server. Allium is the most consistently delectable restaurant we’ve found in Westport. Highly highly recommend.

Google
I loved my dinner experience at Allium! The food was incredibly delicious. The duck dish was one of the best I’ve had, and the foie gras tart was divine. I couldn’t stop thinking about the Meyer lemon meringue all weekend!

Google
What a treat! Loved the ambience, service and creative but not pretentious foods. Everything just worked. Particular stand outs included the al dante beet salad with whipped chèvre and a salty crunch on top, the bay scallop crudo and the lamb shank, the latter two literally melted in our mouths. We found the lemon meringue tart to be too sweet for our taste and the carrot cake so so but the roasted pineapple crumble was perfection! The wines were good and the music and vibe was upbeat and cozy. It's fairly pricey, even for Westport/NY standards but not off the charts. Great for a special night out.

Allium Eatery is THE PLACE for foodies in CT. The ambiance is classy but comfortable - no need to be stuffy to serve top tier cuisine here. Seasonal offerings showcase Chef Michelle Greenfield’s deep love of all things farm - and local. These decadent mouth bites have to be tasted to be believed. With the chef/owner a few steps away from every table Allium Eatery is *the* experience for foodies in CT to experience the talents of a true top chef.

Yelp
Outstanding! Wonderful food. Duck was cooked perfectly. Appetizer and desert were great. Service was very good.

Yelp
.A very homey and comfortable environment. We shared multiple appetizers among the five of us, and enjoyed everyone of them. It was a very eclectic selection. Our server was very sweet and attentive. I don't think we could've been taken better care of. Everyone seem to enjoy their entrée. I had the duck and I thought it was excellent. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
The food here is exceptionally good. I almost hate to write this bc I fear it will become harder to get a table! The ambiance is cozy and lovely - it's a tight space with an upscale relaxed vibe. The staff has always been pleasant and attentive. The food is divine. It's plated beautifully and presents a harmony of flavors every time. I can't say enough good things about Allium. The only downside here is that I didn't discover it sooner!

Barbara S.

Yelp
Beautiful little restaurant with incredible food. Went for lunch and can't wait to return for dinner as that menu looked very enticing

Dennis G.

Yelp
Excellent experience here. Interior is intimate. Was a comfortable evening so we sat outside. Friendly and attentive service. Food was great all around. My duck duo was carefully prepared; tender and juicy duck breast, like pulled duck meat croquettes, bok choy and a type of blueberry compote. Portions were just-right. GO THERE!

Pamela J.

Yelp
Love this place. It's so very sweet. Food is excellent. Wine and drink offerings are stellar. Please support your local businesses. I love Allium!

R M.

Yelp
Every meal I have eaten here is delicious. The chef, Michelle, mixes a variety of different herbs and seasonal ingredients to create the most amazing dishes. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Yelp
I ordered Thanksgiving sides from Allium. I have never done it before and I must say they were outstanding. Everybody was raving about them.

Nick R.

Yelp
We had high hopes for our meal at Allium Eatery. Unfortunately, I deeply regret spending my Saturday evening here. Expensive, unpleasant food with inattentive service. My wife and I are still making jokes about this experience weeks later. It was bad enough to make me write my first Yelp review (ever). The food here somehow all tastes vaguely of cigarettes. I am not being hyperbolic. I ordered the cabbage salad and when it arrived my wife asked whether someone had just lit a cigarette in the restaurant. Everything we ordered had the same over-smoked flavor. It was deeply unpleasant -- and I say this as someone who genuinely does like smoked foods. The woman who waited on us seemed totally disinterested in us - she was pretty focused on chatting with other customers instead of bringing us our check. (We really wanted to leave.) Ambiance was fine - it's a cute space, but be prepared for the volume during dinnertime. We definitely won't be returning. We felt totally bamboozled by the good reviews about this place - by far the least enjoyable meal we've had in recent memory.

Yelp
Each item was overly complicated with too much sauce/garnish and not enough to actually eat. Not much to choose from on the menu too.

Yelp
A hidden gem at the Westport RR station. Creative without going overboard solely to be creative. Delicious food and saucing/ sides. Has a Berkshires farm to table feel. Everyone friendly and seem to enjoy what they're doing which contributes to pleasurable experience. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Food was beyond delicious. Each dish was made with an allium (leeks, rhubarb, etc). Would go back and the waitress was very knowledgeable

Samoun S.

Yelp
The service and food quality were absolutely impeccable! This restaurant takes pride in their food preparation, taste and quality!! I have to say my dinner was the best Rotisserie chicken I've ever had (great seasoning, moist and just delicious) Can't wait to go back!!!! PS: the owner modified my dinner to my request. Compliments to the chef!

Christina M.

Yelp
This is the kind of place I almost don't want to write a review for because it is so good I want to keep it for myself! I've been lucky enough to have dinner at Allium twice, and both times it has been exceptional, from the service to the food and everything in between (including a wallpaper featuring alliums, which was just such a fun touch). The menu changes regularly, but some of the dishes we enjoyed were: - Allium dip: This is an absolute must order every single time. It's like an elevated sour cream and onion dip, and the house made potato chips are incredible. - Napa salad: This had the perfect balance of flavors and textures- creamy, crunchy, fresh, acidic, rich. The shaved Manchego on top was a really nice touch, I don't think I've ever had Manchego shaved before. - Parisian gnocchi: This was INCREDIBLE. I requested the mushrooms on the side because I am not usually a fan, and found myself wishing there were more! They were smoked and crispy and honestly unlike any mushrooms I've ever tasted. - Chocolate cake with chestnut mousse and winter citrus: This seemed like such an unusual combination of flavors, but again, it worked perfectly. The cake was delicious and the freshness from the citrus was really nice. - Don't forget the to-go case on your way out! The baked apple overnight oats were exceptional. I have my eye on the soups next time. There is also a great wine list that is very reasonably priced with some real gems, I also highly recommend trying one of their espresso drinks- their cappuccino was probably the best I've ever had. The kitchen is all-women, which was something I really appreciated that is so rare in the restaurant industry! The restaurant itself is pretty small (I'd say it seats about 12-15), but felt appropriately spaced out both times we went. I cannot emphasize enough how much of a gem Allium is. Already can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Will be back. Just a great menu and ambiance. A true gem at a great location. Met the owner and she is a delight.

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem! The food is superbly delicious - fresh, seasonal & local ingredients, handmade pasta and a variety of seafood/meat options. This place has character - lovely ambiance with fantastic service. We cannot wait to come back. Bravo!

Yelp
Easily one of the best restaurants in Fairfield County. Came for dinner and ate inside in July. We called for a reservation around a month in advance which I would suggest as it's tiny on the inside! The allium dip is absolute crack...so simple but so delicious herby and fresh. The bone marrow was also out of this world as well as the fields green salad. For an entree there was a summer gnocchi which was fabulous too. Didn't have anything we didn't love!!! Would love to try the more casual breakfast/lunch options.

Tanya L.

Yelp
Really nice anniversary meal with fabulous service. Very special place. And great drinks!

Mike M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food and service. Inventive and approachable menu. Cozy dining area. Wine list and drink list are excellent as well. Wished we lived closer so we could make it a weekly spot!

Yelp
WOW. Simply put and in one word, WOW. Food here is other worldly good and executed with such technical perfection. Flavors are fresh, distinct, and highly complementary. We only had lunch here and we left here saying this was the best lunch we've had in a very long time. Quite possibly the best lunch and sandwich we've ever had. The thoughtfulness and really quality of both the ingredients and cooking technique is the real difference making in what on paper is a simple rotisserie chicken sandwich. Not only was the chicken moist and flavorful, but it's really those commentary flavors and textures of the herby crema, bacon, bright and crisp fennel and cucumber that pull it all together to make scrumptious after scrumptious bite. Even the simple yet impressive chicken soup, where the vegetables are not only cut and cooked to perfection, but the consistency and the soup was so clean and impressive. None of those mushy, overcook vegetables breaking down in the soup from being in liquid too long. Nor flakes of chicken floating around, some serious skill went into making this simple yet delicious soup. Really impressive and will report back once we're able to have dinner here. Truly a hidden gem that more people need to know about!

Yelp
Amazing food, every visit! I suggest ordering everything on the menu you've never tried, and you'll love it - be adventurous and trust Michelle's palette. You won't regret it! Intimate space indoors, great patio, wonderful service, creative cocktails... P.S. No matter what, always get an order of Simon's Sourdough bread with the butter OTD. The best bread in the county, paired with a specialty butter... mwahhhh!!!!

Josh E.

Yelp
As a local, I'm especially embarrassed that today was my first time here. But after a Yelp search (for something else) took me here, I suggested my wife and I--on the first Saturday in forever without farflung kid-centered obligations--go for a late lunch on an otherwise dreary, wet afternoon. Just perfectly good. Every last little bit of execution involved in every dish took the food to a level all of its own. A snow pea salad one a bed of whipped feta and topped by the most remarkably pistachio-brittle dust is now my favorite I've had in CT; the house dip (yogurt-based, with caramelized onion and garlic and topped by chives) was completely consumed (I'd have eaten the dish in which it came); and the rotisserie chicken sandwich was a masterclass. The French Sauvignon Blanc didn't hurt, nor did a look the rest of the menu and drinks/wine list--all of which we'll be back for, with unapologetic regularity. This place ROCKS. An absolute must-try. (And I'm sucker for a railroad-station restaurant, so extra credit there, too....)

Yelp
Allium is a favorite of my husband and I . We enjoy the friendly warm atmosphere. The food under the direction of Chef Michelle is better than outstanding. We have been here many times and the menu is always creative and fresh. So nice to have a menu that changes even more than seasonally. Grateful for the extra seating during the summer months as it makes it easier to get a reservation. Plan ahead and get a reservation at Allium you won't be disappointed.

Rachel B.

Yelp
Amazing food, fresh ingredients, adorable restaurant. Excellent service. Can't wait to try dinner.

Leslie P.

Yelp
Our first time here and we can't wait to be back! The food is just absolutely insane, You have to go! (Make a reservation tho!) We ate house made chips with Allium carmelized onion dip, potato croquets with caviar, kale and Napa salad, gnocchi with lardon mushrooms and beet purée, honey nut squash with crema pomegranate seeds and crispy herbs, to die for house made rye flour cookies. Should have taken more pics of the food before devouring also took home rotisserie chicken for next night's dinner this chef has a vision and a POV, the food is exquisite, along with elevated decor and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Catherine R.

Yelp
Everything was excellent-greeting, atmosphere, service, food! What a hidden gem of a place! They have prepackaged takeaways as well! And lattes! Check it out!

John C.

Yelp
Outstanding food and top notch service. Very creative menu that changes a lot but our entrees were fantastic. We had the lamb and the duck and they were both equally delicious. Excellent place for a superior dining experience!!

Margaret R.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place!! Went with a good friend for a girls night and this was perfect. We made a reservation, and were seated quickly at the bar. What a great atmosphere!! Ordered multiple apps (great portions so you can try different things) but definitely get the potato croquettes, so good! Finished with the gnocchi which was unbelievable, honestly everything we tried we loved. Very fresh. Highly recommend!!!

Pradiv M.

Yelp
Went to Allium when they first opened. Elevated food, thoughtfully made. Will be back now that they have been in a business for a couple of months. Great addition to the Saugatuck area.

Valerie S.

Yelp
Great baked goods. vegetarian main dish options are lacking. Cute decor, but in Westport the menu really needs explicit vegetarian options, not just " we can make some changes for you upon request". I'm not going to drive across town to roll the dice

Michael R.

Yelp
Walk in on Friday at 6:30 we were fortunate to get seats at the bar as it's a tiny place. had read a glowing review and we were not disappointed. Great wine list. (So nice when there is a limited selection of well chosen bottles and BTG) Equally thoughtful menu. All dishes were stellar. I had the duck and my lady had the nocchi. Both were imaginative and beautifully presented. Service at the bar was excellent. One of the best places in Westport.

Lynn P.

Yelp
Delicious and creative menu. Local owner. Charming and cozy. Good for lunch or dinner.

Jonathon D S.

Yelp
This is truly an excellent place. Small and intimate so book ahead, though usually there are some chairs at the bar open. Chef is terrific. Younger servers who are delightful. Changing small menu. Food quality, originality, presentation and flavors definitely up there with many 'bib gourmand' or better restaurants I've visited. It's just a really nice place to spend a couple of hours.

Maximilien N.

Yelp
awesome new little coffee shop & eatery, right by train station, great spot to pop in if you're early for your train or just want to get some work done away from home.

Scott F.

Yelp
Excellent food. Worth noting its all very sensible and balanced, easy for people with sensitive palettes and complex enough for the adventurous.
