BEAUTIFUL park! There is a lot of shade from very big old trees. The play area is unlike any that I have seen. The rock climbing area, along with the natural wood play area, are AWESOME. There is a very large sandbox. It even has a merry-go-round, now that is old school. If you prefer baseball fields, basketball courts, or tennis courts, they have those too. The big open area may appeal to some as well. The restrooms are centrally located. The decorations on the outside of the restrooms are very pretty, albeit getting old and worn. Inside, the restrooms are clean and stocked but in serious need of updating. More parking would be a great addition as well. This is a great little oasis in the heart of a big city. Without question, I will be back to this park!

This park is awesome. It has everything. Bathrooms, tennis and pickleball courts, large fields and the best dang playground for kids. A lot of new equipment mixed with classic equipment for kids. A great new sandbox and plenty of tables. Went there Saturday morning and there were 3 birthdays going on but everyone had enough space!

Friendly neighborhood park near Michigan Stadium. Fills with tailgaters and traffic on game days. Not a bad thing, just something to be aware of on those days. Large grass areas and a playground for the littles. If anything, the restrooms could use an update and/or some maintenance.

I love this park because it has some natural place structures, even a large sandbox area, but having old trees with plenty of shade is so nice in the summertime.

Always love a walk around the park - it’s one of the larger ones in the area, but still quite modest. Lots of fun things for kids and a big open field for whatever you want!

Neighborhood park for pickleball and a playground and a baseball field. Paths that are under construction

I love that the park is clean; bathrooms are open & clean. My son played baseball during his summers in little league. This family park rocks!

A nice park with a variety of playground equipment and a large sandbox area. There is also a large, flat grass area as well as a couple of ball diamonds.

Yelp
I'm so happy to have this lovely park close by. Ann Arbor has a lot of parks, ranging from a triangle of grass with some benches to parks with trails and canoeing. Allmendinger isn't big enough (like Gallup) to have a bike/walking trail, and it isn't adjacent to a body of water, but it's a dang fine neighborhood park. The majority of the space here is open and sunny, with the side along Pauline offering more shade as well as lots of play equipment for kids and picnic tables. There is an outbuilding, too -- with public bathrooms that are really not that gross, amazingly. They even stuck some sort of fake stained-glass sticker on the windows in the bathroom. I was kinda amused, kinda charmed that someone wanted to make the park bathroom look that nice! There's a drinking fountain outside of this building too, but it doesn't seem to be working. Bummer. There are also two large baseball diamonds, which would be perfect for baseball or kickball.... ... and then, around the periphery of the park is one of my favorite parts: Lilacs! Big, giant bushes (trees, really!)... mini-walls of lilacs. Right now, they are blossoming, and just a walk near them -- either in the park or on the sidewalk smells like heaven. Way to go, whomever planted these beauties long ago, and big ups to the A2 Parks staff for keeping them strong and healthy! I wasn't able to hop on anyone's wi-fi, but I do have a wireless card for my computer, so this can theoretically be my new "outdoor office" now and then. I just have to remember some SPF and camp out on the shady side of things...

Yelp
This park has a *CARGO NET*!!! Way too small for regular adults to climb though. Makes me wish I were a kid again... or at least a dwarf (worth it?).

Yelp
This park is perfect for those really hot summer days because it is well shaded. There is a variety of playground equipment to accommodate differing ages. Watch out for the merry go round; I've seen more than one child give up their lunch or dinner after spinning around! The basketball and tennis courts are under construction right now and we can't wait to use them again. We love to come here for the 4th of July as the community puts on a great fireworks show. Or come during a home football game; you can hear the game from the park. There is plenty of field space for frisbee, soccer or a baseball/softball/kickball game!

Yelp
Oh yeah! There is so much shade on the playground! It's great for hot days when the little ones need to get out some energy. I'll drive here again even though it's sort of across town! Also, they have some bathrooms!

Yelp
It's the best all around park in Ann Arbor. There's always people there enjoying organized and informal activities. It has a tennis court, basketball court, softball fields, playground, open grass field for playing Ultimate, etc and a building with restrooms. Come and enjoy!
