America’s Most Beautiful Vineyards for Harvest Season

"Just a 30-minute drive from Portland, I can sip Alloro’s estate Pinot Noir while enjoying Italian villa vibes and sweeping views; the food program highlights dishes such as steelhead trout with foraged nettle puree, reflects owner David Nemarnik's Italian and Croatian heritage, and includes a rustic yet elegant stone tasting house (opened in 2020), chef Denali Whaley's daily pranzo, and monthly multi-course Cinque Cose menus." - Katie Kelly Bell

Google
Wonderful experience all around! It’s a beautiful winery with excellent service. The Riesling and the Bianco de Nero is OUTSTANDING! Michael was attentive, friendly and funny! We’ll definitely be back!

Cassie C.

Google
Delicious wines and amazing food 🤤 The views are spectacular and we loved all the fresh flowers. It is more pricey than other vineyards for a tasting but it was a lovely day for a special occasion celebration!

Rick L.

Google
Fantastic experience with our family visiting from the Midwest. Samantha greeted us with a smile and passed us off to Jamie for our tasting. We enjoyed a small meal that was paired perfectly with the food from the kitchen. The entire staff was welcoming and made us feel lime we all were friends. Definitely a revisit!!!

Google
This place is amazing! The wine, the views, and the service are top notch. We became members after our first visit and every one since has been truly delightful. The vintner, David, chose an amazing place with energy the really fills your soul. Try the Bianca de Niero and the Reisling for sure, their oaked Chardonnay is the best I’ve had, eat your heart out Napa! 11/10 I will continue to visit every chance I get!

Barb L.

Google
I had such an amazing time at Alloro. Jamie took incredible care of us and her knowledge was off the chart. The wine was exceptional but even better when paired with the mushrooms dip. If you want an amazing wine day, I highly recommend Jamie and her crew at Alloro.

Google
This place was great. We were celebrating a birthday and the views were incredible. We had the focaccia and the charcuterie board. Our server was nice but we felt rushed. The server, Jessica, brought out the check and informed us she had another reservation and that she needed the table. There were other table’s available so it didn’t make much sense to us and our reservation was for 1:35- 3:45 (the conversation happened at 3:10). Otherwise I would’ve given it 4 stars but customer service could be better especially considering the price.

Google
This place is incredible! Amazing views, stellar customer service, delicious wine, and the food is OUTSTANDING! I can’t stress enough how the food sets this place apart from other wineries in the area. Expertly executed and paired. This place should be on everyone’s list. My wife and I plan to visit often!

Google
Alloro Vineyard and their wines are nothing short of spectacular! But what truly elevates the experience is the food. Every bite is crafted to not just complement the wines, but to bring out hidden notes and nuances you might otherwise miss. The pairings feel thoughtful, artful, and absolutely delicious. Together, the wine and food create a symphony that lingers long after the last sip. Alloro is a place to savor, connect, and be wowed.

Yelp
A nice little getaway outside of Portland about 45 minutes. Very nice and pleasant staff. We did a wine tasting and enjoyed some food and bottles. They had some good Pinots. They also have some cute animals like sheep, and you see some alpacas and you drive-by. This was a great spot to hit up with my book club!

Yelp
Excellent first visit to Alloro Vineyard. I was shocked to read the one star reviews that seemed to relate to the service and overpriced wines. We did not experience either of these issues. Our visit was a great experience that coupled with the wines, service and setting was incredible. Our server was so engaging and timed her visits to our table perfectly. The wines were excellent as well. The setting is incredible. Everything in the tasting room is laid out with perfection.

Lindsey W.

Yelp
My friends and i had such a lovely experience at Alloro. We were a large party, but it still felt intimate and personal. Our server Jamie was attentive and knowledgeable. We had lunch and did a mix of tastings and glass pours, all were superb. The view and surroundings are hard to match. A definite must see!
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
We vacation in this area for about a week each year. We used to do the tastings but now we just love to buy a bottle of red and white and enjoy the views for a few hours. We're always looking for a combination of good wine, great setting and great views. This place checks all the boxes. Beautiful property. Beautiful facility. Very pleasant and knowledgeable staff. Wines were priced reasonably.

Yelp
Terrible experience at Alloro Vineyards. A few days ago, as non-members, we spent $230 on wine and charcuterie. We loved the wine and came back to buy more. This time, the staff rudely told us we couldn't get bottle service or buy bottles to go because we weren't members. This was never mentioned before. It felt like we were being treated unfairly and discriminated against. Very inconsistent service and a huge disappointment. Avoid this place! -

Yelp
I was here as part of a group of six and we all had the tasting flight. We also ordered three appetizers (mushroom & cheese dip, pork & tonnato, and burrata) which were all good and I recommend. While I wanted to love it, I can't say I'll be back. The venue is beautiful and gets high marks in that regard. Martin was our server and he soured the experience for me from the start. He asked if we were members and we said no. Someone in our party said, "not yet" and rather than being inviting and welcoming, his response was rather off putting, which colored the rest of my experience. We tasted four wines and I enjoyed the Estate Pinot Noir and the Riservata Pinot Noir. Martin did make us an offer to revisit any wine we liked and a couple in our party did so I'll give him credit for that. However, overall Alloro didn't hit the mark for me.

Yvonne M.

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous. Great wine, great food, great service, gorgeous view! You must try their savory fruit tarts. I had a peach tart in buttery pastry. This is not a desert.

Yelp
After a data-filled few days of work training, we rewarded ourselves with a wine tasting. Our host recommended Alloro Vineyard and made a reservation. The drive itself to the vineyard was beautiful. The vineyard views - STUNNING. The tasting house, with its high ceilings and tall floor to (almost) ceiling windows gave a great, bright view and coziness at the same the time. I chose the Estate Flight - since those were made at the vineyard; the other option was a speciality flight, Italian. Four wines were included, and our server gave great notes and insight on the wine. We paired our tasting with a beautiful charcuterie board - full of cheeses, meats, mustard & jams. I had never had a Bianco di Nero and I'm in love - I thought long and hard of getting a bottle!

Yelp
This place is beautiful and we were so happy to be there. Our server Jacob was very professional and provided us an excellent service. Thank you Jacob; you are the best!. We love you!! Be honest the host was not very nice to us! She may had a very bad day or worked for long hours, we tried to understand because we are working in customer service filed too!

Yelp
This review is specifically for the ice wine, Vino Nettare. I have had many ice wines in my life but this was by far the best I have ever had. Truly I felt like I was bestowed the nectar of heaven into my wine glass. Wow. Truly incredible. The golden sun shines in every sip.
google avatar

Maro S.

Yelp
They were very sweetly accommodating of our desire to sit outside -- despite the chilly weather -- offering us Pendleton blankets for our laps. The wines were excellent -- we fell hard for the Bianco di Nero and ended up with a bottle (almost two), even though we are not big wine drinkers. The bruschetta was absolutely delicious, both kinds! The woman who walked us through our flight and offered info about the vineyard/farm was great. The farm is stunning, with gorgeous views, and the gentle bleat of sheep (there were a couple baby sheep that we were directed to! Squee!). The very manicured gardens by the tasting room were pretty and had some gentle burbling fountains. They also have some Adirondack chairs to overlook the sheep fields (in better weather) on a lower grassy terrace. Definitely a more traditional experience, and made for a nice balance with our second winery stop.

Yelp
Love this winery! The setting is so beautiful, service is great and the wine is so delicious! Looking forward to experiencing the benefits of being member.

Rob R.

Yelp
Overly pretentious, overly priced, and overly rated. I visited this estate 4 years ago, and it was great, but since then, the direction has gone downhill. It used to be friendly, fun, and decently priced, The view is sill great, but can't say the same about the wine. It's just not worth the price.
google avatar

Denise B.

Yelp
The wine, the food, the service & the view... All amazing...Thank You. We brought home a couple bottles...YUM:)
google avatar

Patrick M.

Yelp
Incredible destination in wine country! I have been to 20+ wineries in my days, and I am still impressed by their ambiance - it is upscale and chic but also Oregon comfortable. I had their Friday Chef lunch which was fantastic and fresh and more food than I was expecting. I love both their indoor modern tasting room and the outdoor patio spots. I would easily buy a case of wine here and take it home as a treat. Go check it out!
google avatar

Katie R.

Yelp
Visited here for wine tasting while on vacation in Portland. It's a great place to go if you want to see some of Oregon's wine country without having to go too far from the city. The property was beautiful, because of Covid you couldn't really walk around but you could see some of the garden and see the goats if they were by the fence. We also did not get to spend much time inside the tasting room but what we did see was very pretty. Due to Covid we had our tasting outside on the crush pad. This was a beautiful spot because we were right next to the vines and in the shade. The service was also amazing! I called ahead to make a reservation and they made it so simple and were very friendly. Everyone was fantastic about wearing a mask and keeping their distance. Our tasting room associate did a wonderful job telling us about the wines, vines, and the property. I would definitely come here often if I lived in the area.

Yelp
Transported to Tuscany, that's how I feel every time I visit Alloro, one of my absolute favorite vineyards anywhere. The red tile roofs of the adobe buildings in the villa, the iron gates and hydrangeas surrounding the main house, the sculptural Italian gardens with multiple conversation areas overlooking the vineyards - it's simply divine! As soon as I arrive I'm filled with calm and tranquility - and that's before I have any of their delicious wine!!! Just 30 minutes from Portland, it's an easy and beautiful ride. The rolling hills and garden is beautiful in every season so I come often. Whenever friends come to visit from out of state, like this past weekend, this is the first place I take them. They are always blown away! I've never done the underground tasting in the cave because I like sitting in the open garden. In colder weather we hang inside by the fireplace. Friends of mine are members and I've gone with them several times. I've been treated the same whether I'm with members or on my own. While I like their whites, their Pinots are my favorite. I do wish their pours were a little more generous. For an upcoming birthday, one that ends in a zero - so you know it's significant - I'm considering hosting a party here. My family was from Italy and I can think of no better place to celebrate such a milestone than at a charming Italianesque vineyard a stones throw from Portland.

Yelp
So glad we chose this place as my first vineyard experience as it was a truly fun afternoon . I reserved a week in advance because post Covid weekends can be a very risky business , especially with everyone out and about during the summers , its fairly hard to get a seat on the spot without having to wait for a long time .The online reservation was easy and I mailed them a day and time that I was hoping to come in and they reserved and sent me a conformation of the same. Its a great place to start if you want to explore Oregon`s wine country without having to go too far from the city . We got the seats on their outdoor patio in the shade and even though it was a hot sunny afternoon , the heat wasn't much in the patio . There were a couple seats in the open with umbrellas put in and those looked like great spots too. They have an indoor tasting room as well which was really pleasant and spacious . The views are stunning , there are vines as far as the eyes can see and rolling hills all along the horizon . The staff was fantastic and answered all our questions very proficiently . Loved how chatty yet informative she was about the wines and talked with a lot of passion when we asked her about the wine making process .The tasting menu is reasonably priced and that's what we tried that afternoon .They have four different wines and a fifth one of your choice or their choice . ,depending on your preference . I am definitely going back as this gorgeous place ,really needs to be enjoyed more .

Yelp
This is a stunning property and the wines offer sophisticated, affordable luxury. Try the 2019 Riservata pinot noir. Refined. An instant Chehalem Mountain AVA classic. Not to trash the big name chateaus in area but this is the vineyard and tasting room that gets it very, very right.

Julie G.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our experience at Alloro. The vineyard is top notch, with incredible wines, stunning views and the absolute best service. Martin made our visit so special, fun and memorable. He's the best! Alloro was our favorite vineyard among the three we visited during our time in Willamette Valley, and we'll be back!
google avatar

Barb A.

Yelp
Visited last Sunday for a friend's birthday. Everything was flawless and perfect. It was a group of 6 and we were hosted by Danny who was fantastic and welcoming. Highly recommend. It's the Gucci of wineries IMO.
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
This winery has a beautiful and cozy tasting rooms and the views outside are stunning. The wine and cheeseboards are delicious. This winery is truly the most beautiful winery I've ever been to. My winery experience includes Napa valley wine country, willamette valley wine country, valle de Guadalupe in Ensenada Mexico! Too bad I can't post my video of the incredible view from the tasting room!
google avatar

Will S.

Yelp
Alloro is a great option for those looking for a closer option to Portland and the metro area for good wine without having to trek out past Newberg. They have a beautifully new built tasting room as of a year or two ago and have great west facing views of the valley. The wine is good across the board and they have one of my favorite pinots from the willamette valley in the Justina Reserve. The past couple times I have been unfortunately the customer service and the estate hosts have declined in quality. With so many great options for wine in the valley these days and incredibly knowledgeable staff it has fallen short of my expectations.
google avatar

Rob M.

Yelp
Fantastic wine that "tastes like Oregon." Smooth, flavorful, utterly delicious. Plus the venue has amazing views of the valley below. And all of the servers and staff are always very welcoming. The location is great and conducive for wine club memberships. Overall highly recommend.
google avatar

Martina C.

Yelp
Pretty views but not amazing. The staff was super snobby though. We weren't and won't be members but they kind of scoffed when we said we weren't. Which hello...you totally lost the opportunity for us to be members with your snooty attitude. We had a tasting flight and the wine matched their attitudes. Not great. For the price, take yourself over to Blakeslee. With amazing wine and views. And welcoming staff. I'll never go to Alloro again.
google avatar

Melissa P.

Yelp
Have only visited the property once while visiting local relatives who were picking up their wine club order, but it was a great experience for us. It was the week before Thanksgiving & at sunset, so we had the place to ourselves, but didn't spend much time outside on the grounds due to the cold temperature. It was beautiful though & would love to return sometime. I'm really giving a review of the wine. Have had several vintage years of the Pinot Noir & have found Alloro to be one of my favorites in the area.
google avatar

Dominika P.

Yelp
Alloro is hands down one if my most favorite vineyards in Oregon!!!! Oh, this said, I LOVE VISITING vineyards around the world!!! So I've seen many.... What attracts me the most specially Alloro, is it's close drive from Portland, next thing you find yourself in Tuscany..... Seriously! It's that Amazing!! The very start from the drive way, to the villa on the property, the kind staff, Breathtaking views & of course THE VINO.......!!!!! PLEASE don't take my word for it, GO VISIT Alloro Vineyard for yourself ! You might also find yourself in Tuscany....... I chose to become a member here, because I truly feel like I come to My family vineyard home! Cheers to a blessed & Joyus life!

Yelp
Great vineyard for a classic and informative wine tasting! I did their cave tasting, which includes 5 wines and a charcuterie plate, all within the cool atmosphere of being underground. We had Eric as our wine tasting guide, and he was great! Very knowledgeable/passionate about wine and the industry and pleasant to talk too. The wines were all tasty, especially their desert white wine, which reminded me of a lychee sweetness. Super yummy! The charcuterie plate had three different cheeses, Valencia almonds, chorizo salami, and another salami I can't remember, and crackers (gluten free). It paired very well with the wine. The whole experience was lovely and the perfect mix of homey/comfortable yet classy/fancy. The winery has an Italian feel, with incredible views. I HIGHLY recommend this vineyard if you want to do a tasting out near Portland (:

Blimy S.

Yelp
The rudest, most pretentious winery we have been to in Oregon. Went with a friend, we got ignored for at least 20 minutes. Once my friend informed the staff that she was a member the attitudes changed and they became accommodating. It was a very uncomfortable experience and the wines are good but not good enough to overcome the horrible service.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Stunning vineyard, wonderful wines, and fantastic views in all directions. Great day celebrating a friend's birthday!

Jack W.

Yelp
Looking for somewhere to bring your friends and family for a fun wine tasting experience? Look literally anywhere else. We used to be members at this pretentious, overpriced Vineyard but will be no longer. The staff is incredibly rude and unwelcoming. On several occasions, we have been pushed out, asked to move outside for guests arriving within the hour, and most recently brought guests with a 3 month old infant tasting with us, only to be told in a very weird way that we had to leave because it was 21 and older. We thought the lady was making an awkward joke. The older lady with gray hair is the absolute worst. I think that she mentioned she had some connection to the owner which would explain why she has any sort of customer facing role.

Yelp
It's not a secret that I'm deeply in love with Pinot Noir and Alloro Vineyard has a spectacular Pinot http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/alloro-vineyard-sherwood?select=C1ZiBjb2iZV0kajiGQpetw#C1ZiBjb2iZV0kajiGQpetw reason enough to get my heart and 5 stars on this review. The awesome view, their cute tasting room http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/alloro-vineyard-sherwood?select=3E0k7zjgJQzENmvzA5UVuA#kWEUw6RatF6s2DLbX4g5hw The beautiful and famous dogs http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/alloro-vineyard-sherwood?select=3E0k7zjgJQzENmvzA5UVuA http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/alloro-vineyard-sherwood?select=3E0k7zjgJQzENmvzA5UVuA#BQSWLThB6fX37tGm01AoFg and the knowledgeable and friendly service are all BONUS! Great place, they wines are a bit pricey but really good Totally worth the drive from PDX Highly recommended!
google avatar

Molly M.

Yelp
Although this venue is beautiful and wine is very quality, the last 2 times I have been here the customer service and folks being hired have just been so below sub par. We came in most recently this last weekend with 2 members and had a very flippant and rude tasting guide who very much so turned her nose up to our young age. At the end of the tasting when she went to charge us for full pricing she said "it's this price because you are not members" and when we told her we in fact were her entire attitude changed. Great option for a closer in winery but be prepared to not have the greatest service, which you can find elsewhere.
google avatar

Mark W.

Yelp
Beautiful venue! Our hostess Julie was friendly and engaging. The charcuterie board was amazing and the view of the estate was stunning. We tried the estate Pinot vintages of 2014, 2017, and 2018 and walked with two bottles of the 2017 (which was a hard choice).
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Stunning views & incredible wines but my complaint is with timeliness of our waitress checking in (or lack thereof) She is friendly by all means when checking in but would forget our multiple requests for a water pitcher & extra bread/biscuits. That is my only con to mention but in general we enjoyed our visit. Thank you Alloro
google avatar

Mads J.

Yelp
Such a beautiful vineyard with Tuscan architecture and a garden. Unfortunately, the service was not great at all. We walked in to buy wine for takeaway, and the short blonde haired woman behind the counter was not nice at all. She didn't offer any information, no tasting as I tried to buy wine, when asked a question she answered it briefly and with negative enthusiasm, and at one point she was literally looking me up and down with a horrid look on her face. Felt very patronizing and judgmental. As you can imagine, this made the environment EXTREMELY uninviting. At $40 a bottle, I didn't feel comfortable making my purchase here and chose to leave empty handed. Not sure if the wine is good, but part of buying and tasting wine is the experience and this was not a good one at all. What a shame.

Stephen E.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst wine/food tasting experience we have ever been a part of in all of Oregon. Service so rude and pretentious right from the get go. Food was good but not great - same with wine. While I can handle off days from a kitchen or even wait staff - to have the management from this vineyard actually be OK with treating people the way they treated our group, is absolutely uncalled for. I really dont enjoy writing this type of review, but after our visit to this winery felt compelled to say something. Shame on you Alloro.
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
Unbeatable service, wine, view and location!! We came here on a sunny day and even though it was busy we were treated like the only ones there! Left with a few bottles and glasses and after the time we had we have to consider a membership! 10/10! Thank you Alloro!

Charles W.

Yelp
We had a membership at this winery. It's not worth it!!!!!! As a member you can never get in and the service is horrible. Dogs are not allowed but have a dog roaming the property. Most recently they're requiring vaccine cards. This is segregating people who have valid medical reasons for not receiving the vaccine. Their business practices are discriminatory against a group of individuals. Do not go here!!!!! Cancelled our membership, we do not support this decisive establishment.
google avatar

Mads M.

Yelp
GORGEOUS tasting room - rustic looking with warm tones and an open courtyard. Feels like you're driving up to a country club or a villa in Italy. Lots of seating outside and parking. Plus they have a cat wandering around! The Pinot was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

Sean Z.

Yelp
We went to have fun for a 40th birthday party with a group of 16 that had been planned for a while - worst place to ever visit. They treated us terribly, so rude and pretentious. They were rude when people were dropped off, irritated about us talking when they were trying to start the meals and upset that we were five minutes late. The concept of customer service escapes them. If that was the only issue then so be it, but after the meal our friends had to wait for an Uber so all could safely get home and they called the Cops. No one was overly intoxicated but we wanted to be safe it does take time to get a ride here so had to wait outside. While in the parking they called the cops because we were a disturbance sitting in our cars waiting. If you want to be disrespected as people go here and then they you will call the cops on you while you wait for an Uber. Luckily the police were polite and eventually got Uber rides, never to return to this establishment again. Would deter anyone from going here. Awful experience
google avatar

Rich T.

Yelp
What a great spot. This isn't a fancy mega experience but a simple farm house with staff you recognize year in and year out. The tasting fee is a pretty high $15 but the wines themselves a good values. We love their various pinots and they are mid range in price with great character. If you join their wine club you can get early tastings and visit the cellars downstairs. Those are great times when you can meet the staff and talk wines. The vineyard itself is very convenient. Really close to Beaverton and not the huge trek through traffic that going to Dundee seems to have become. It's really place you can drop in and try the wines and then be out of there. The vineyard itself is right out back and it is great to take a walk out there to see how it all comes together. So give it a visit soon :-)

Shelley D.

Yelp
This place looks like an Italian villa! It's an absolutely gorgeous place to stop for a wine tasting and I loved sitting on the back patio and listening to the water features from the side. A glorious view, and I really liked the wine. I'm much more of a red drinker, but I actually bought a bottle of their Chardonnay (the only white purchase out of 9 wineries). It's a very relaxing, beautiful spot with very nice wines.
google avatar

Veronica M.

Yelp
Such a beautiful property! Kevin was amazing! Wines are top-notch, service is impeccable! This is definitely a must stop!

Yelp
Alloro, where to start. I found you in the summer of 2018, it was love at first sight/sip. Customer service has always been above and beyond when we visit Alloro. We have stopped by the winery several times. This was our first in the new tasting room-We had a reservation just this past weekend and I have to say, with being in the new tasting room it was absolutely stunning and so cozy but our customer service has deteriorated. The Male that was working our reservation was very short, rude and didn't even introduce himself. He was not pleasant or welcoming, he abandoned our group and we had to stand up and get a person at the bar to check us out and purchase bottles from. In all, Alloro you hit the ball out of the park except for customer service on our most recent visit, I was utterly disappointed and we all left feeling abandoned. I hope next time we have a more welcoming experience to such a beautiful, special place we have loved for so long.
google avatar

Vicki L.

Yelp
Nice touch with the shrimp as part of the tasting. Beautiful grounds. Friendly service.
google avatar

Matt S.

Yelp
Wine was great and had such a good time at Alloro! The tasting room was gorgeous and the service was wonderful. Especially had a great time talking to Emily who was very knowledgeable about the wines and friendly! They also have nice sparkling water that is on tap that is a great little addition :)
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
First off, this place is gorgeous and it really does feel like Italy in Oregon. I really really wanted to love it, but the not so great service unfortunately outweighed positives. I've never been to a vineyard that described it's wine as "chug-able" or a "pool pounder". I get that they have pandemic protocols to follow and they have tight schedules to turnover tables, but the frat-party descriptions of tastings was distracting and took away from the wine. It was really disappointing because this place could be really special.

Sabrina W.

Yelp
Great place to visit for a little taste of Italy in Oregon. Expansive outdoor seating and beautiful views. Emily was a really nice and attentive server. Especially enjoyed the 2014 estate Pinot noir and 2017 vintage as well. The charcuterie board is delicious too.
