Ally's Cabarete Surf Camp

We come to this place often and they changed their prices 2 times in the last 2 months and become more and more expensive. It seems like restaurants here do that when they see their certain food become popular. Won't come back again and this review is being written from behalf of 13 people that are sitting in our table.

Sadley the happy hour meals we went there for are not available. Also no happy hour period. Went to Mohitos instead. Had a great night. Just add normally a great place. The food is very good and love the location. Just disappointed about bring friends there looking forward to the Saturday special that was available last week.

We had the best dinner two friends one son three steaks. Oh my goodness coleslaw was delicious. The fried potatoes were the best I’ve ever had in my life just enough onions to make them happy service was fantastic. I always enjoy having dinner and of course the ambiance is quiet and tucked in a little oasis of green in nature.

Great for an afternoon beer stop, or a great dinner. Dont forget the coleslaw, its the best I've ever eaten. Great for a small group or large party. Very accommidating. Many...many of my birthday's spent here♡

Have stayed here twice with a group of friends. Both times it was a great experience. Affordable, super cool and unique (basically a huge treehouse that also feels 100% safe and sturdy). I think they also do food but I've always just gone to Cabarete for breakfast in the morning. Definitely a cool novel spot but the design is also fun and impressive if you're really in to nature and want to bring a few friends.

Very unique location near a fresh water lagoon. Lots of wildlife and fish to provide great views and serenity. The dinner was moderately priced compared to nearby restaurants but certainly wasnt as impressive. Good but not outstanding. Needless to say, we enjoyed our dinner with some very close friends in a quite and tranquil location.

My favorite place! I've been here several times and will always come back. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, the grounds are lovingly designed, and the accommodations are beautifully furnished. The atmosphere is very peaceful and quiet, especially due to the abundance of greenery. The pool is clean, and you can settle around it like in a little oasis. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very pleasant, especially in the evening, with fairy lights surrounding the area on the pond. In my opinion, the food is exceptionally good, and especially the Mojito is delicious.

Quality varies extremely! I stayed here twice. Once in a 2 room apartment for 6 people, once in what they claim on their website is a “bungalow”. The first stay was nice enough for the price, so I figured why not come back. The bungalow is actually only a room – attached to other rooms. Not a bungalow. Therefore overpriced! There is basically no insulation so you can hear your neighbour snore as if he were lying in your own room. The room was so dark I had to use a flash light to look through my suit case, there was no wifi in the room either and we did not have a bath room door or curtain. So the bathroom was just open – all the time. To be fair, Jimmy, who seems to be the care taker is very keen on providing a good experience. He was understanding when we said we would leave 4 days early and tried fix our issues as good as he could. However, he said he would provide us with a kettle and some plates and mugs for our room – which never happened. We also had to run after him multiple times to receive a second key for our room. That being said, the common areas are nice. The pool is clean. Breakfast for 5 USD is fair. What also should be mentioned is that there are dogs running around on the property however they please. So if you are allergic or do not want to be bothered by them, you will have a hard time. If you love dogs, it’s perfect. Almost always one to cuddle around. Nonetheless I regret to say that I won’t be coming back a third time.
