Went for a Sunday brunch with my wife. We ordered their signature sandos (pork belly + avocado rosti), which were both beautifully flavored and balanced, and the brussels salad to share (nice crunch!). The Thai Milk Tea was a standout beverage. We indulged with the HK french toast (excellent and not overly sweet!) which I haven't had in many years - and brought back some good memories. The atmosphere and decor were wonderful; it was very easy to have a nice conversation while also having a view of the open kitchen. The couple that owns/runs the place obviously love their craft and are executing it with care and excellence. Will definitely return to try their dinner offering sometime!

i wanted to try BOTH of their signature sandwiches but i couldn’t decide so i ordered the avocado rosti sandwich and just added pork belly — AMAZING decision. the pork belly was salty, had a good balance of fattiness and lean (but maybe bit tough/hard to chew off?) meat, which was DELICIOUS with that baked salty cheese skirt and OOZING smooth egg yolk. the avocado was also amazingly creamy and fresh and the oily classic fried egg taste was so good with the yolkiness spilling all over and the potato rosti was crispy perfection. it was truly a fantastic symphony of flavours AND TEXTURES. i had also wanted to try the unique scotch egg sando foreVERR and pranced at the opportunity when they brought it back for the weekend. the first thing you notice is the freshness of the crunchy cold cabbage and the sweetness of the sauce — i don’t know why, but the sauce reminded me of this very classic sweet japanese flavour. the minced sausage was salty and savoury and meaty and fried with a slight crispy crunch, and it wrapped around the soft jiggly mild egg with its rich flavours. i thought the other sandwich was more satisfying and memorable, but this was also really interesting!! the hk french toast was ALSO A SMASH — not only was the FLUFFY, soft texture absolutely incredible, the creamy milky sweet filling oozing out also really elevated it and set it apart from regular hk french toasts. other small details, like the slight saltiness of the butter and the egginess of the bread, and the very sweet honey-like syrup on the side, made this such a nice treat to end the meal with. i also really really loved how hot and steaming it was. service was really friendly and welcoming and warm, and the environment is quite nice and classy!!

Alma+Gil is a great little no fuss brunch spot. The menu is limited but had dishes for both savoury or sweet palettes. It seemed to have a lot of Asian influences. I tried the potato puffs (my favourite), radish cakes (also yum!), the avocado sando, and finished off with a match tiramisu for dessert. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes!

Food - packed with flavour Service - attentive Vibes - clean, spacious, aesthetic I believe the menu is Cantonese and Mexican fusion, very unique! Radish cakes were a highlight for me. A must try brunch spot. Very surprising it hasn’t blown up yet, maybe it’s the location but it’s well worth it. ☺️

Phenomenal breakfast sandwiches. Often, breakfast sandwiches are really just a mush of flavours, which is fine but the sandwich here was just delightful. The pork belly was perfectly flavourful, the eggs were very fresh, and the yolk was added just the right amount of moisture to the sandwich. Easily a ten out of ten.

PORK SANDO - juicy - strong pork flavour, so if youre not a huge fan of pork, it's not recommended. But otherwise it's amazing! AVOCADO SANDO - CRUNCHY! - great take on a classic brunch sandwich - crispy fried cheese puts an amazing texture on each bite - hash browns in the sandwich RADISH CAKES - if you've never had this, it's not sweet like you might know other cakes to be. It's a warm savoury dish, garnished with bean sprouts - a little too liquidy on the inside - texture didn't fit too well with me but my only other reference is homemade and from congee queen. EGG SANDO - not too eggy in flavour, no overpowering boiled egg smell or flavour - creamy and flavourful HK MILK TEA SLUSHY - it's sweet so if you're not a sweet tooth, I wouldn't recommend - perfect during the heatwave - milk foam on top, tastes like ice cream! - they offer free refills but be sure to ask beforehand as it's not listed on the menu HK FRENCH TOAST - also not too sweet, come with a side of maple syrup if you want it sweeter - custard filling and butter on top - I'm not a huge fan of butter so I wasn't too in love with it - super crispy edges ATMOSPHERE AND SERVICE - super friendly and attentive staff - asked if refills were wanted as soon as they noticed your drink was running low - music in space is FUN, lots of varieties of music, Chinese, Spanish, English - lighting is nice during the day, lots of natural sunlight. Other brunch places are too dark sometimes

Cute cafe/brunch place! Nice interior with lots of plants. I guess this is a HK inspired cafe. They have a bunch of HK milk tea, buns, etc. Friendly staff. The sandos were good. The porkbelly was kinda dry. The place can get smoky and hurt my eyes.

I really loved this place. It was my first time trying it as I just moved in the area and I was met with great service and comfortable vibe and great food. I can’t wait to try everything else on the menu as I will definitely be back. It’s like elevated brunch ✨
