Almar Giardino di Costanza Mazara del Vallo

We enjoyed our stay at Almar Giardino. The room we stayed in (junior suite) is beautifully designed, spotless, quiet and very comfortable. Staff members are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Evenings were enriched by two musical experiences: one with live vocals and a guitar and another with an artistic guitar performance both adding real atmosphere. Breakfast was not to our personal taste and felt somewhat modest in quality. Reading other reviews other guests enjoyed it but in our opinion not matching 5 star hotel. But the pool bar for lunch and the restaurant for dinner were above standard and food was very flavorful, and the bar offered a cozy, inviting setting for drinks. If you want to escape the hotel we can recommend going to the small beach about 20 minutes away (idyllic and picture-perfect). There is service however you should come to them to order instead of the other way around, small point of attention. The spa treatment “The Signature” was outstanding and highly recommended. Some constructive points: the pool could be slightly warmer, poolside drink service would elevate the experience, and during our stay there were many wasps (september) arranging pest control or checking for nests could improve guest comfort. Evaluate senior versus junior staff as some of your junior staff members are outperforming the senior ones. Keep the beach open till sunset as you have a magnificent sunset on this side of the island. Overall, a wonderful property with many highlights. Certainly recommended.

Stunning hotel and SPA with the friendliest staff and outstanding service by absolutely everyone. Breakfast was superb, as well as all the food we had during our stay, and the delicious cocktais. One of the best beds I have slept on while travelling. Loved every minute, thank you 🙏

We spent 11 nights at the hotel and absolutely everything was perfect: the rooms are big and modern, the hotel is beautiful in all areas (restaurant, bar, swimming pool, garden, …). ||Everything is hyper clean and well maintained. ||There is also a lovely beach.||We had chosen the half board. There was a good choice with daily suggestions to introduce variety while keeping quality. The breakfast was also great with homemade pastries changing every day.||The spa is exceptional. Something that can not be missed if you are an amateur (even if you are not actually).||Finally, and it’s important, the staff was wonderful and kind. Thanks for the good memories!||There is no doubt this resort is among the bests in Italy.||Also, the location is great if you have a car because you can visit Palermo, Erice, Favignana, the Valley of Temples, Selinunte and others easily from the hotel (if you don’t fear driving in Palermo :) )||Family Sandras

We had a wonderful week staying at the Almar. |Alberto and the hotel team went out of their way to ensure my partner and I had a relaxing holiday. Alberto is a experienced professional and his approach to ensuring a top class service is delivered to guests is evident across all areas of the hotel. A 5 star service. |Special mention to Ed, the porter / driver on the front desk - always happy and will do anything for you. |The shuttle service to town is a great benefit for evening dinner. |Spa was excellent. Highlight of the stay. I didn't have any treatments but my partner had 3 and said they were really good. |The Yoga guy was top notch - the best I have ever had. You must book this. |The pool is great for a swim before breakfast. |Breakfast buffet to a really high standard with lots of options available. Very friendly waiters. We had one meal in the restaurant on the last night and it was probably the best meal all week to be fair. |Room was modern, clean and regularly serviced by staff. Everything about this hotel is 5 star. It is definitely the best hotel we have ever visited and plan on returning next year. The staff were all brilliant, to name a few, Stefano, Salvatore, Valentina, Manuel, Andrea- thank you so much for your excellent and friendly service all week. ||From the moment we arrived, we experienced nothing but luxury and the hotel is beautiful and immaculate. The rooms are large and spacious and all of the amenities are 5 star. The pool area is equipped with a swim up bar and it is possible to go to the hotel’s private beach on a free 15 minute shuttle where they provide sun beds, water and snacks. The breakfast is also really good with lots of options and table service for drinks. Thank you so much to all of the staff for making our holiday so lovely! ||It’s a 15 minute drive into the nearest town where there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops and it gets really busy and atmospheric after 8pm. Renting a car is ideal because we were able to visit places further out such as Marsala and we even drove to Palermo for the day. ||The hotel spa (access included in your stay) is so modern and has so many different rooms with saunas, an ice pool, a jacuzzi and other relaxation. We both paid for a massage on our first day which was amazing!||Tips:||•Although the hotel provide shuttles to the beach and to Mazara del Vallo, we found it really useful to have a car. If renting a car and visiting Mazara del Vallo, Marsala and Palermo, we’d recommend using these car parks as they were cheap, secure and easy to use:|Mazara del Vallo: Municipal Parking Lot|Palermo: APCOA|Marsala: Parcheggio Comunale||•Bring mosquito repellent and bite relief because we both got bitten a few times but nothing a relief cream didn’t sort out. ||•Check out is 12pm but we didn’t fly until 9pm and we were able to stay and use all of the facilities and use the showers in the pool area to freshen up before leaving, no need for a late check out! ||•The hotel provided a few different experiences throughout the week hosted at our hotel such as wine tasting and olive oil tasting, these were all great and we were able to buy wine etc from the local vineyard at the hotel and pay a corkage charge to enjoy the wine on the hotel terrace! Get local wine where you can because it’s unmatched!||Thank you so much Almar, we can’t wait to return!

We spent 2 nights with the family in June. Staff was polite and always ready to help with your requests. Rooms were clean and cozy and the beds amazingly comfortable. The wellness spa is perfectly organized and it's an amazing experience to do with a partner or a closed friend or relative. The pools are clean at all times and spacious. We were also lucky that one of the nights we stayed at the hotel a local wine company came down to give us the opportunity to test their wines by the pool. We recommend this hotel and can't wait to go back again!!!

We booked a 4 night stay here for our honeymoon. It was a very pleasant experience. Very nicely kept premises, beautiful gardens (at night, you can sit under the pergola and listen to the sound of the Eurasian Scops Owl, which for us was a very unique experience). We enjoyed the room, which was clean and beautiful and equipped with all (and more) that we could need. We enjoyed the Spa 3 days, it was really beautiful and relaxing. I like the poolbar, with the barstools in the water, although it's a little unhandy to sign a piece of paper as a payment, with wet dripping hands and arms, but that's a minor thing :-) The breakfast is nice, nothing over the top but enough, good quality, local food, fresh fruits, eggs, pancakes, good coffee. The terras of the restaurant is a beautiful location to start the day. The personnel is very nice and friendly, alsways happy to help. I had a scratch from thorns after going for a walk in an offroad area, and I immediately was provided desinfection spray. Also, when I forgot a shopping bag at a restaurant in town, the manager himself ended up phoning the chef and they even brought it up to the hotel. Very kind. I don't remember all the names but they were all very nice and professional. Special thanks to Salvatore, our daily waiter, he is so attentive, sweet and funny. Also big thanks to the massage therapist Grace, who did a very skillful and good massage, gave me some personal tips about stretching and went above and beyond to find back piece of my earring that I lost due to my own fault. Overall, a very nice and luxurious honeymoon! If I had to name constructive points for improvements: - The restaurant. The food is very good, but of course when you have a rental car and can get around to neighbouring places (Torretta Granittola, Mazara del Vallo, Marsala) you will find restaurants that do actually outperform the hotel in terms of price, quality and quantity. I understand it;'s a challenge because this region is a culinary hotspot and the strong competition is obvious, but wouldn't it be nice if the hotel was really on par with the best places around? - the location. You need a rental car to fully enjoy this location, and that was a really stupid experiencs (we rented a car on our own, via a third party, ultimetely renting it via USave, which was a complete rip off and very poor experience. Maybe the hotel can be more proactive in arranging/ helping car rental. But I might just not know that there were possibilities. My strong recommendation to other guests is to use well known companies for car rental and keep your eyes open. Alltogether, thanks for the great honeymoon, you truely made it a great experience!

Great hotel,,the staff is so dedicated. The spa is great and the restaurant is so good..We spent memirable days. This is great place to stay and visit some places as Marsala, Favignana, Erice, Trapani and Selinunte. Then return and enjoy the amazing spa, then have dinner in the garden.
