After checking in, for some reason the guys helping us to our room decided to lead our family of 4 with bags down the middle of the dining area, disrupting everyone eating at the time, and then walk us down the narrow and obstructed sidewalk between the 2 swimming pools, dodging chairs and swimmers along the way. I really don't understand what was the point of creating that spectacle for all to see when we could have more easily taken a much shorter, direct, and unobstructed sidewalk to our room, around the side of the dining area and swimming pools. It was really uncomfortable and unnecessary. I'd suggest never doing that again in the future.
The breakfast was really disappointing, the already limited options were mostly gone by 9am with another hour to go on their breakfast time. The pancakes and egg stations were abandoned. We didn't even bother with it our 2nd morning.
The room was huge, uncomfortably so, sparsely decorated and furnished, just a lot of open unused space. It was clean enough with a nice patio, in need of more furniture like the room, and nice location to the pool.
Previous reviews saying the resort isn't "outdated" could not be more wrong. The entire grounds are in need of renovation and upgrades, from the playground to the bar area to the swimming pool. It's all very "rough around the edges" not terrible, but could use a lot of work. It seems the resort is more focused on their day programs, dances classes and swimming lessons, than they are on their overnight guests and rooms.
