"Then for bookshops, the Almost Corner Bookshop is a great, tiny place. They have readings, and speak English as the owners are Irish and Scottish."

Stumbled upon this book shop and was really happy with it. It was great in its smallness. Took my time to go through their selection of politcal, scientific and history books and some saw really nice titles there. Couldn't buy them all, still got two of them. Guy behind the counter was seriously funny and friendly. Told me he was from California. This is my second time in Rome and I can think of good reasons to live here. Do not pass this shop without going inside. Get a book or two. Say hi to the guy. Leave and be happy.

I stumbled across this bookshop and what a delight! I was looking for a specific book that they didn’t have but the lady who served me spent time with me recommending various titles based on what I was looking for. I started the book I bought today and it’s a great read. Highly recommend. Rare to find customer service like that nowadays.

Small, well-curated bookshop in the Trastevere neighborhood of Rome. Good collection of classic and contemporary books about Rome and Italy as well as on religion, philosophy and fiction books. Staff are english speaking and very helpful. Worth a stop as you walk along the neighborhood.

Such a great surprise to find an English bookshop 2 doors down from our apartment! Good selection of new & used books & lovely friendly staff! So nice to later see the bookshop full of people for a poetry reading too!

Lovely bookshop, excellent selection, including non-fiction, also some good secondhand titles. Very nice and knowledgeable owner, listened to her while she was advising a customer looking for a variety of titles: the customer left very happy and impressed by how knowledgeable she was. I love these neighborhood shops and despite their prices obviously a bit higher than on amazon I keep buying locally in the hope that they will be able to hang on and not disappear like they sadly did in the US. Well done!

Very nice book shop in Trastevere with a mixed selection that I fancied. Also good selection of used books. OK prices.

Yelp
Very small 1-room bookstore selling all-English books in Trastevere. About 20% of the store is Italy travel-related books. Ok to stick your head in real quick, but not worth a trip out of your way to visit.
