Google
The only negative would be the volume level. However, for most people, that's not even a negative comment, and they make up for it because the bar offers ear protection if it is too loud for you. The servers are great the seating is good and if you don't have a good seat the bar area has a screen which is great because you don't have to miss anything if you're ordering another drink. We love Darcy Kent Wine and the ambiance this location offers. The only downside is that there's no food and food trucks being outside, which is not the most reliable

This place is awesome! I caught a Coffis Brothers concert here and had a blast. The vibe was electric with everyone dancing and chatting, and the staff was super friendly. Even the band was cool and approachable, selling their merch after the show. I didn't grab any food, but the wine was great. What's cool is that they have a separate area for people not attending the concert, so you can still enjoy the live music atmosphere. They even host private events! Definitely check it out.

Google
Awesome venue for live music, local to the Tri-Valley. No more than 200 people at a time (they say), we never felt really crowded like we have at a LARGE venue (say Concord or Sunnyvale). A bottle of wine will cover the 2 drink minimum, although it seemed pricey (we're not really 'wine people). We'll be back for sure. (No stars for food because it's not available, but you can bring your own ...we brought Subway!)

Kris K.

Google
Fleetwood Mask sounded and even looked like the real thing. You can bring your own food to music venues. Ours was a 5 star. Buy your wine there. The music was outstanding.

Google
We came from San Francisco to see a show and it was worth the trip! Great venue for live music and tasty selection of wine. We particularly liked the Wine without Borders primitivo. The sound quality of the venue was fantastic as well!

Google
Saturday nights comedy show was so much fun! Buy some wine, bring in your own snacks (next door winery has great snacks & treats, cookies yum!) Have some laughs & enjoy the night. What a hidden gem.

Google
Amazing spot for great wine and what a great little music venue... The place was packed Saturday night for the Bell Brothers. Keirsten and her Staff were super friendly and welcoming. The only thing to complain about is how often one has to get up off the super comfy couches and ask standing patrons to not block views of the stage.. That got a bit tiresome. I suggest if doors open at 5 for a 6 pm show, be there before that so you are guaranteed a seat in the main room. Thank you for a great night. We will definitely be back

Google
This place is really nice. They have a good wine selection and staff is very helpful. Some snacking foods available. But you can bring in your own food, but clean up afterwards. I don't go offen, but when I do its with my wife Julia. She goes quite often with her girlfriends. They have a passion for music like her. She plays the violin and we have a handful of musician friends. So Friday date night with the wife was great. We saw The Bacchus Brothers this time. The McGrail wine maker, electric guitarist, songwriter and singer Mark Clarin is a friend of ours. A night to remember August 18th 2023. 🙂

Yelp
I've been to this lounge a number of times and I highly recommend it! From the moment you walk in your greeted warmly, and the check-in process is simple for concerts. If you get there before 7 o'clock, they knocked 10 bucks off on a bottle of wine... Had the Cabernet, which was super from Darcy Kent wineries. Got to see Lydia Pence and cold blood... What a show... So intimate and what I like about the house sound as they don't blow your ears out and keep it at a good decibel level. All in all, it's one of my favorite places to go !

Laura R.

Yelp
We went to see Peter Escovedo on Saturday November 22, 2025..Show was spectacular, musicians were fabulous and we had a front row table...The venue is intimate and the acoustics were great. I am only giving 3 stars instead of 5 because the Almost Famous Wine venue has not returned my phone calls. When we arrived at the venue we purchased 2 wine bottles @40 each and the woman behind the bar placed our bottles behind the bar and we were to pick up bottles before we left the venue...We forgot the bottles and called the venue the next morning and they were closed but I left a message..Waited another week and called again. We wanted to send someone to pick up our bottles or maybe have the bottles mailed to us. Two weeks later and no response...Very disappointed with the lack of follow up..

Yelp
We have enjoyed coming to this rare venue since it opened. It has been a great place to see live music in an intimate and indoor setting. The stage is spectacular, the wine delicious, and the musicians are incredible. Sadly, it seems that greed trumps the customer experience now. We had heard that the dance floor had been eliminated and that the already cramped bistro table area was more so. These are all true. I'm not claustrophobic, but I felt uncomfortable with how packed in like sardines we all were. Not only that, but the area just outside the stage area was packed with even more folks. It was very difficult to secure more wine or get to the restroom. I'm not sure I'll want to visit the venue again anytime soon.

Yelp
So, I went there for the first time, even though I've lived in Livermore for years. My buddy and I went to see an Allman Bros tribute band, the Allmond Bros (spelling intentional), who were very good BTW. Stage layout was very intimate - great place to see a band. The seating map if you have the lounge ticket isn't clear from the website so let me elaborate. The main seating map on the web is for the tables and rail seats are in the main stage area. There is a second room next to the stage has comfortable couches and tables and that is the area for "standing room lounge" that is first come/first serve. There is a projection screen in that room to watch the performance but there is also clear line of sight to the stage from that room - albeit off to the side of the stage. The lounge was very comfortable and, in some cases, might be more comfortable than the stools with the high tops in the main stage. Also, the wine bar is in the lounge room so it's convenient for getting a refill. I saw a number of people getting a bottle of wine to share at their table and I would say, in general, that is the way to go. I had a few glasses of wine that were at restaurant pricing - nothing crazy but you can buy a bottle and that seemed to make the most sense to share with a group. It was a fun experience and definitely worth the ticket price (very reasonable). I definitely plan to go back again.

Yelp
Wow!! Another fantastic event at Almost Famous Wine Lounge to hear Rick Estrin and the Nightcats! This little gem of a showroom is our favorite venue to enjoy music in an intimate setting with excellent sound. There are small tables on the floor and more seating behind. The entertainment lineup features our favorite blues bands and a variety of musical offerings. Almost Famous is one of the many great wineries that are in the Livermore area, and they sell their wine by bottle or by the glass. There are also non-alcoholic options.

Yelp
After a day of shopping (Outlets), dinner (Posada) we attended a concert show at Almost Famous Wine Lounge in Livermore. As we approached the venue we noticed the area has a bunch of wineries, tasting rooms and brewery-tap rooms. For sure an area to visit and spend some time in Our first time at Almost Famous, arrived 30 minutes before the show and found our names on a small sign where our seats were. A nice touch instead of searching for your seats. The venue is small and intimate, perfect for viewing a show. The sound was also set up perfectly, the setting is essentially a warehouse so getting the sound right is critical. There is a bar just to the left of the concert area which is very convenient to grab a glass or bottle of wine. There is a wide variety of local wines at reasonable prices. I wasn't sure of the wines, no problem the bartender took the time to answer my questions. Over the years we've been to numerous bars-clubs to see shows, Almost Famous Wine Lounge is one of the very best. Will be back whenever we are in the area. Best of all the Tommy Castro show was great and for the encore Tommy's brother Daniel came onstage and played guitar! Awesome night!

Yelp
Came to see a band and there was no dance floor to dance. I've been here before and they usually have a dance floor. It's so disappointing. Not sure if I'll be back. Just selling tickets to make money.

Yelp
A great place to see live music. Easy access from 580 freeway, or Hwy. 4 in Antioch is a straight shot to Vasco Road and only 30 minutes away. Lots of parking, and friendly staff. The sound is awesome, and musicians like the stage set up. Not a bad seat in the house! It's become a favorite place to see bands with my friends.

Yelp
Had an AMAZING time last night as The Illeagles ROCKED Almost Famous. The owners and the staff were the best!!!!!!!! I love this venue!!!!!!

Yelp
Cool spot for live music. Friendly folks behind the wine bar. Came out to watch Brodie Stewart on Saturday, the first time for the wife and I , as well as our friends. Overall very nice experience.

Yelp
A unique setting with a vibrant ambiance ! A terrific place to celebrate any occasions and great wine selection.

Yelp
Visited here a weekday afternoon, it was not busy at all. The tasting room has large couches or sporadic tables to enjoy your wines. Although three was not live music we peeked into the backroom which is set up with a stage and seating for live music- something we will have to come back and check out one evening without the baby. For tastings the concept is more like a Brewery in the sense you pay per taste, but would be about the same price if you went to a winery that offered a $20 tasting flight. You can pick any wines on the board to try which is nice and they put them in thr proper order for you. We had a nice time, enjoyed their wines and would go back. They have a relationship with Darcie Kent winery so if you like their wines you will like these. Prices started around $40/bottle I believe

Yelp
Great music, good selection of local wines. We often run into local friends here. Makes a fun date night!

Mary H.

Yelp
Bought reserved high top seats and they were 60$ per. The venue is intimate, sound was great. They did have some basic non-alcoholic canned drinks available- think kombucha, sparkling water, light sodas. Parking is difficult. We parked down the end of a road around the corner. My main complaint is the seating is crammed together and you are shoulder to shoulder and the back on the bar stool is almost non-existent. My friend and i had problems sitting in these seats for any amount of time . I would go again for another band i love and would buy table seating or even stand. I recommend they do NOT cram 4 stools to a section, it would improve the experience for those of us over the age 50.

Lia H.

Yelp
It was my first time at Almost Famous and the live music, the setting and the wine options were outstanding. We met a number of lovely people that evening and will be back again!

Yelp
A Great place to watch a show. Service is good. I have'nt try any of the food from the food truck yet. But plan to next event.

Vivian W.

Yelp
I attended a baby shower at this location and the food was catered in. The service was great and the venue set up was great as well. The ambiance in the room we used was friendly and welcoming.

Laura M.

Yelp
Fun place for an event. Staff was amazing and entertainment was fun. Definitely would recommend this place for hosting an event.

Yelp
This tasting room is a nice change from the rest in the immediate area. Not only are the wines of great quality, but they have amazing charities that benefit from the sales of the various bottles and varietals they sell. Manager, Kirsten is a sweet gal that is easy to talk to and recommends a tasty glass of whatever's your type of wine. In addition to the wine and tasting room, this place also has a second room that provides evenings of entertainment on the weekends. From live music performances to comedy shows, a small, intimate venue is the perfect place to spend an evening with a good glass of wine, a date, and a show!

GiGi G.

Yelp
Another great time at Almost Famous to see The Allmond Brothers: Tribute to the Allman Brothers Band. We needed some live music in our life so I bought the tickets the night before (extremely reasonable) for the lounge. It was a last minute decision in case we didn't head out of town. Taking life nice and easy. It was a hot evening so we enjoyed a beer before the show around the corner at Altamont Brewery as the venue only sells wine (which is great). Time got ahead of us but we weren't in a rush. We showed up late to the show and were lucky enough to sit at the top corner rail (another couple didn't show). Honestly, there are no bad seats but I actually prefer the railing. If you're at the front tables and dancing is involved, your view is impaired (so you better be up dancing too). My only critic is it's always hot a a little stuffy as it's a small venue with no windows or opened doors. Wear light clothing is a must. Other than that, it's a great venue. We would love to see the band visit this venue again.

J B.

Yelp
What a gem! Great wine. Amazing music venue! I wish I discovered this place sooner. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Emily R.

Yelp
Enjoying a glass of the Alpine White. This place is so cute and has a classy yet fun vibe. They have a wide selection of red and white wines including a sparkling gruner. The server informed me that they will be hosting live music at the end of the month. I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Luane D.

Yelp
Management here thinks it's good business to sell you front row seats and then add another front row in front of the one you just purchased on the day of show and not return your money. The lady is charge is a ball of ego and gives not one shit about the customers. They have crappy wine, zero soda drinks for non-alcoholics and an overall don't give a crap attitude about their patrons. They force purchase sales in groups of 2 and love to state their policies like God handed them down on tablets directly to them in their beautiful business park. Don't waste your money here and don't buy their awful, overpriced wine.
google avatar

Chupoo D.

Yelp
We love this venue! We attend music shows there and love the vibe of the place. The sound system is state of the art and the rooms are comfortable and inviting. The wines are very good. I haven't tried a red or white wine there that was not enjoyable. I like the way the staff treats us too. I can't think of anything I don't like about the place. It's fast becoming a regular venue for dancing and I'm so glad.

Stevnjle S.

Yelp
This a great venue for comedy or music, it's got that up close personal feel they allow you to bring food but keep it to finger food type things to enjoy with your wine cause once it starts to get crowded might be hard having a full meal we definitely would come back

Andrew J.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience highly recommended Wine variety to perfection. Service was delightful and my party had a wonderful time.
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
Since I finished my share of alcohol 25 years ago, I can't speak to the quality of wine here but I can assure you the the vibe and the staff are both just lovely. We enjoyed a fantastic night of music and fun in this gem of a place. Be sure to check them out.
google avatar

Jenna S.

Yelp
Came here for a free Thursday night concert, and I had so much fun! I was satisfied with the wine selection, and the glasses were reasonably priced ($10-$15). The venue itself felt intimate and the artist I saw, Jessica Malone, was extremely talented and professional. I almost couldn't believe the concert was free, and on top of that, I was one of maybe 12 people total in the room! Highly recommend checking out their live music... but probably no need to go early!
google avatar

Greg G.

Yelp
Fun place. Really like it. This is what Livermore is all about. I strongly recommend this place.

Marvet B.

Yelp
I'm reluctant to post this because I don't want anybody else knowing about this amazing little spot in Livermore. I went with two friends and brought food in from the outside. We bought some wine there, but it's not required, or it's not required for the show that we had purchased to see. The group was electrifying and we had an amazing time. Definitely will be returning.

Jim H.

Yelp
It doesn't sound as if that "Luane D" of "CA, CA" (review of 9-5-2023) could tell his/her a*s from a hole in the ground. It sounds like he/she was in the wrong place? The wines at Almost Famous Wines are top-notch, and their many awards prove it. :) You can't beat the sparkling Gruner Vetliner, and the Primitivo is to die for. Music shows here are stupendous, as the sound and lighting are the best a small club can offer in the Bay Area. The vibe is super. The place is super. What's REALLY cool - is that you can bring in your own food. You have to buy wine there, which is kind of normal, & there's no beer. But they do have a vast assortment of tasty non-alcoholic drinks, contrary to what that other reviewer had to say. Of course, you CAN'T bring your own alcohol, just like any other nightclub. But that's not new. They'll check for this simple-minded, grade-school trick at the door. They'll give you all the purified water you want, so water bottles aren't even allowed. The staff was very helpful, and they took lots of time explaining things to the non-wine-drinkers in our group, at Marc Ford on Sat 9-16-2023, even tho place was packed! We're getting our tickets way ahead of time next time. The sooner the better!

Helena A.

Yelp
Love this new addition to Livermore!! I've been here for a few shows now. Although the tickets are very well priced, the wine is still expensive. Darcie Kent wine is delish so worth it and I guess it offset the ticket price. The first time I came, the music/instruments were way louder than the singer/musician so it was very hard to hear the songs. I came more recently to see Ren Geisick and the music was loud but the band did very well showcasing the singer and her beautiful voice. The experience depends on the other attendees. I've been where the crowd was obnoxious and other times it was pretty chill. They do check for vaccinations (last Friday) although I have been before and it wasn't checked. Maybe it depends who's working. Beware: we couldn't get an Uber/Lyft to get back home on a Saturday so plan your arrival and departure wisely
google avatar

Sue M.

Yelp
This is a great venue to get away to enjoy some musical talent right in our backyard! Love Darcie Kent wine so buying a bottle to enjoy for two is not excessive and very relaxing. The only suggestions I have would be a food truck on Fridays since it is a work day and otherwise getting dinner when a show starts at 7:30 is a challenge. Most people don't work and commute on a Saturday and so have control over getting dinner early enough before a Saturday show. What a treat to have a venue like this in Livermore and not downtown! .
google avatar

Judy C.

Yelp
We were there to see Kinetic and was impressed by the production quality of the stage and the overall quality of the sound. I also really enjoyed the Cabernet I got there. The indoor venue was quite crowded so I appreciated the fact that they require either proof of vaccination or proof you're not infected. I would have definitely thought twice before attending if this was not a requirement.
google avatar

Richard S.

Yelp
I went to Almost Famous to see some live music on February 5th, 2021. It seemed like a great venue until all the people showed up. NO social distancing, NO mask wearing, and it was packed to the gills with people. Impossible to avoid physical contact with other people. Also, the noise level was unbearable. Almost no one was there to listen to the music and most people were talking the entire performance. The music was very loud so people had to talk very loud to be heard. The venue has a lot of potential but beware. Once you're inside there are no Covid precautions being enforced.
google avatar

Cheri B.

Yelp
June 4th was an amazing experience at almost famous winery. The staff is very accommodating and professional. The vibe was great everyone was nice and came for the same thing to have a good time . The artist Terri O was outstanding as usual such a queen...
google avatar

Susan C.

Yelp
We were so excited to attend this Livermore event and see Meredith McHenry. I even invited our neighbors to come with us. I went early to the tasting room the day of the show to ask questions about the event and how seating, food, etc would be handled. We arrived early only to be turned away because our friends hadn't been vaccinated! We understand the concern, but never was it stated on the tickets or emails about this policy! My husband and I could have gone in, but we would never have done that to our neighbors and chose to not attend. This was very disappointing and could have been handled simply with a quick Covid test right there! Needless to say, we won't be coming back anytime soon or recommending this place.

Yelp
Hidden Gem. Great wines, attentive pourers, fun and clean environment. Pleasantly surprised and glad we found them.
google avatar

Pete S.

Yelp
Awesome music venue! Classy intimate setting, great acoustics, stage lighting with a generous size dance floor. I highly recommend the experience of the Almost Famous Lounge. BTW - the wine was very good, as well!
google avatar

Tracie R.

Yelp
1st know they check your vax card if you don't have it you can't enter - wine choice is good - wine glasses not good - music was good excellent guitar player - noise level way too high had to put in ear Plugs then left after 1st set due to volume issues.
google avatar

John T.

Yelp
Love, love, love this venue! Comfortable lounge, awesome stage with excellent sound and lighting (Kudos Michael), great green room, and beautiful wines.

Mark A.

Yelp
We went to a blues show last night, the show was great and the staff was attentive. The music was a little loud but they provided ear plugs for free. we will be back.
google avatar

Les D.

Yelp
This is the BEST music venue in the Tri-Valley for intimate shows: EXCELLENT sound quality, and totally professional staging. Their wines are beautiful examples of Darcie Kent's genius, and there is always at least one food truck parked nearby. Teri Odabi blew us away with her world renown deep-down blues.
google avatar

Andrea A.

Yelp
So much fun listening to Tender Mercies (4/9/22) at the new venue in town with a NYC vibe. You'd never know you're in Livermore! The staff is very friendly yet professional. Love that we can bring our own food in so we can enjoy our favorite flare! The wine is delicious and as a club member I'm enjoying all the extra perks! So fun! Elaine Henderson
google avatar

Bridget B.

Yelp
No customer service. Person pouring was not friendly or engaging. Had one glass and left

Yelp
Such a fun environment and the staff is fantastic. Really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back! Oh and the wine is fabulous:)

Yelp
It is so nice to have a place close by with good music and wine,Had a great time , looking forward to going back again soon
