A very unique place to stay alongside the A1. The traffic can be heard slightly but not overwhelming.
This antiques centre and gift shop also doubles up as a b and b. The owners are most welcoming on check in which is between 4 and 6pm. There are separate rooms across the courtyard which are cozy with ensuite facilities and tea tray. I slept well but the walls are very thin between rooms and you can hear every word everyone is saying in the next room.
A delicious breakfast is cooked fresh and the tables are large within the dining room. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. All in all a good visit.

Very quirky, very comfortable. I found it to be very relaxing there..its not like your typical hotel. Its different and soecial. Breakfast is served at big tables with the other guests. The owners are lovely and friendly. The room we had was perfect for us.

Really enjoyed my first stay. Staff were very pleasent. Breakfast was pleantiful and well presented. You must have your own transport as there were no buses. There's too much of a long walk into Alnwick by the A1 mortorway. That's not very pleasent or safe. The only issue I had was with the awlful television (It certainly needs updating) in the Cart Shed accommodation. The hand controller was useless.

6th time staying here both on my own and with friends /family and young kids. We love the place, it's charming. Beautiful grounds and gardens. Each room has its own theme and decorated beautifully. The beds are so comfy. Very clean, warm and cosy. It's just a 5 minute drive from Alnwick, we used local taxis at night which work out around £20 there and back again. Our hosts are so friendly and welcoming, always happy to talk you through places to see and help with directions.
Excellent value for money and the breakfast is outstanding. Why would you want to stay anywhere else in Alnwick? We love it, thanks again for having us 😀

This place is an absolute gem. It’s like Alice in wonderland meets the lion the witch and the wardrobe with a little bit of Harry Potter thrown in. Everywhere you look there is something quirky. Spotlessly clean. The breakfast team were amazing . The lovely lady even set up a table in the lounge beside the beautiful open fire ready for us as she knew it was a bit chilly and we had a dog with us. Breakfast ( which are really good!!)with the sun shining on another day in the courtyard was another highlight. The work and thought that has gone into this place is incredible. The flower planting enchanting. If you want a chain hotel experience please drive past. If you want something that will remain in your memories this is where you will stay. Thankyou for a fabulous stay.

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast! The hosts were very kind and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms were unique and well equipped. This is a great place to stay when visiting Alnwick if you have a car. We took the train and then had to get a bus from Alnmouth to Alnwick. We didn't realize the lodge was not in the city proper and not on the bus line so we didn't get a taxi in advance. There are NO taxis for hire at the bus station or in the town, taxis must be reserved in advance. We were almost stranded in the town until someone took pity on us and gave us a ride to the lodge. We pre-hired a taxi the next day to take us to the castle, it was £10 each way. Just be aware of that if you don't have your own car.
