Alnwick Youth Hostel

Perfect location for affordable accommodations. On top off a bus stop that will take you most places along the coastal routes and central to downtown for all the amenities Alnwick has to offer.

The hotel is very good and the reception staff are very friendly. The rooms were very clean and, in addition, it has a games room that is well equipped (piano, table football, television and villar)

Our friend hired the hostel for a weekend and we were privileged to be invited to join their house party. The venue was clean , comfortable and warm. We had an ensuite room with 2 bunk beds, with plump pillows and clean linen !|Plenty of space for guests to relax, enjoy a game of pool, etc. Lovely courtyard too. |Kitchen was clean , spacious and had a variety of pots, pans crockery and utensils to conjure up a delicious meal / hearty breakfast. ||Close to other attractions such as Alnmouth beach, Alnwick gardens and Banter Books ! |

Clean, quiet and comfortable and ideally placed to be in the town centre in 5 minutes walk. My room was colder than I had anticipated - the heating was not on when I arrived, and seemed to go off before 9 so it was chilly in the January freeze. 24 hours of Free parking just a few houses away.

Room (private en-suite for 4) got a bit stuffy but the vibe, location and staff were faultless. Wonderful location within easy walk of the town centre, castle, gardens and playground. Especially enjoyed the pool table, the table tennis and lounge. Good self-serve kitchen, great little on site cafe too.

Stayed for two night in a 4-bed room with my two children. Everything was perfect. The room and en-suite bathroom were spotless, the bed comfortable and to my surprise very quiet so I slept very well despite being a light sleeper. The games room with pool and ping pong table was the highlight of the stay for my son. The children also enjoyed the cooked breakfast, whilst I made use of the fully equipped kitchen to make my own. Staff was helpful and friendly. The free car park nearby very handy. We had a perfect stay and would love to come again in future. Thank you

We loved staying here. The facilities and staff are great. Huge dining room, two games rooms with table tennis, pool, table football and a lounge, kitchen and good sized bedrooms/family rooms. Kirstin runs a community cafe once a week and bakes all her own cakes which were so nice. Our only criticism is a lack of parking, but that is down to their neighbour who parks his own vans there for days despite it being 2 hours 8 until 6 pm. If you can get a space you can park 4 pm to 10 am. Buy a £1 disc to park in the town.

Perfect larger youth hostel with wide range of facilities. Great staff. Well equipped kitchen and good sized dining room. Cooked breakfasts available. Fantastic location in centre of historic Alnwick and short trip to Northumberland’s stunning beaches. Handy car park next door. Will be staying again.
