Alobar1000 Hostel

We came to Alobar 1000 mainly for the meals, and we were never disappointed! The Tibetan Set Breakfast is delicious, very generous, and the coffee is really good. The staff is super friendly, always smiling, and they even helped us organize our travels around the country. The hotel is located in a quiet, tucked-away corner of Thamel, which makes it much more peaceful than the rest of the area – a real bonus for resting. Highly recommended! 🙌

We received an excellent welcome from receptionist, AJ All the staff are really lovely and attentive to your every need. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms and rooms are very clean. Rooms are cleaned every day. We spent four days here and really enjoyed our stay. I recommend this establishment

I had a great stay at this hostel. Everything is very clean, and the rooms are excellent (spacious, comfortable, and well maintained). The reception team is extremely kind, always helpful, and available whenever you need anything (Thanks AJ). It’s also a perfect place for organizing and transportation for the treks. Highly recommended!

Fantastic hostel on the ourskirts of Thamel. Located snuggly at the end of a quiet alleyway, is your place to have a good time and a great stay. Staff is super friendly and helpful (AJ is the mvp), food is good and the pool is nice and refreshing. Price quality great, absolutely recommend going here!

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. It has homey vibes and the room and sanitary were clean. I especially loved the hot shower, the room with balcony, and the fact that there is a pool. Though the water is cold, it's still good :) Thanks Sunena and other staff!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay. During a two-week trek, I was able to store my belongings at the hostel without any problems. I will especially remember the hotel staff, particularly Kish and the night watchman, who made my stay so enjoyable. I will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay at Alobar 1000 for a few days before and after the Manaslu Circuit. AJ, Kishor and Tashi were all exceptionally helpful, going above and beyond in supporting us to extend our stay, booking bus tickets and tour trips (and even allowing us to cancel and receive a refund at late notice), renting equipment. Rooms were basic but clean and excellent value for money. Would recommend to anyone!

Loved my stay here. Only was here for one night in June but had checked out the hostel due to some friends having stayed here beforehand in April already a couple of times. |The vibe and energy of this place is great, very inviting, warm, and peaceful which I appreciated a lot. |It may me a tiny bit more expensive than some other hostels buuut I contribute that to the pool which is nice, and it is the cleanest place I’ve stayed in in Nepal, with good facilities, very comfortable beds, amazingly friendly staff and I’ve had the luck to be able to tackle along to the city tour Kish, their travel agent, did back in April. Very much a wonderful tour - he gave some insight into typical Nepali life, we did a little sightseeing and he brought us to a few nice local recommendations including a really great, hidden gem for samosas. Would absolutely recommend.
