The hotel is in a great central location making it easy to walk to many restaurants and attractions. The rooms were clean, well kept and decently sized. The staff were helpful and friendly - although the bar service was slow. We enjoyed having the pool table in the lobby for guests to use. The only downside to the hotel was the pool. It is very small and we found out the hotel sells day passes so it was very crowded - particularly with rambunctious kids. Pool towels constantly run out and wasn’t monitored so staff had to be notified to restock.

We had a great weekend at the aloft! They were super friendly and helpful, making sure that our room had a bathtub as we were traveling with our baby. Cody was a star! Thank you for making our trip so easy. We loved spending our evenings on their rooftop bar, their food and drinks were wonderful and kid-friendly. The hotel has a tremendous central location, we were able to walk everywhere!

I left my wedding rings in the bathroom here….when I realized I called the hotel in a mad panic. Audrey was so sympathetic and got the Manager for me right away. Because house keeping had left for the day, Cody went looking for them himself. When he couldn’t find them he contacted the housekeeping manager, Angie, AFTER her shift and she still responded!! The next morning they called me and had my ring ready for me to come pick up! Really responsible and responsive team here!

We were greeted by friendly staff and this week's mascot, Chip. They foster rescue dogs awaitng their forever home, and guests can shower them with the attention they deserve. Shakira took care of all our needs and we looked forward to seeing her each day. Guests must use their room key to get past the second floor, a nice touch for enhanced security. My complaints were few, namely no in-room microwave and a broken stand-up ironing board that was replaced with a more difficult table-top version. Definitely more pros than cons, this clean, pet-friendly, well-situated hotel will earn your repeat business.

The people are super nice. The place is clean. They weren't very clear on their site when I booked. It sounded like all of the rooms were handicap accessible when I was reading the notes. They're apparently not, as the one I got didnt have a door wide enough to get to the toilet nor did it have a level shower. Be sure to check closely (I thought I did and apparently I didn't) when booking. I suppose I should also note that nothing was questioned when I checked in with a wheelchair. So maybe all the accessible rooms were booked. Not sure. Otherwise everywhere I went in the hotel was super roomy and I didn't have a problem navigating. The walls are thin. The beds aren't that comfy. But the location is fab and it's clean. I only stayed for one night.

Fantastic location downtown near stores, restaurants, and bars. Close walk to South Slope with even more bars/breweries and restaurants. Rooms were new and clean. Pool was a bit small, but the view of the mountains was lovely.

I typically stay at the Biltmore estate but we picked this location so we could walk around to the food spots in downtown and this will be our new spot for the downtown scene. ||Fantastic customer service. Really really good gym (this is one of the main things I base my hotel reviews on since I have to start every morning with a workout) and you can’t beat the location. ||Now that the gorgeous rooftop pool is open this will be THE place to be if you’re staying in downtown Asheville.

What an absolutely sublime experience! The rooms are spacious, the people are friendly and the whole place has a really cool vibe. The view from the pool deck is awe inspiring, I was totally captivated. Our Abby, Jack Russell, LOVED her stay too. We took her to the WXYZ in house cocktail lounge last night for drinks and enjoyed the from the Ledge (outdoor seating facing the front of the hotel). I just have one question for the management. What brand mattress is that? I have to know. It is the most comfortable mattress ever! Keep up the good work!

Yelp
We recently stayed at Aloft in Asheville and had an excellent experience! We booked a suite, which was spacious, modern, and perfect for a comfortable getaway. One of the highlights was how pet-friendly the hotel is--we brought our two pups, and they were treated like VIPs. The staff was welcoming, and the atmosphere felt both vibrant and relaxing. The location is ideal, with easy access to downtown Asheville's restaurants, shops, and attractions. Aloft's rooftop space is also a great place to unwind with beautiful views of the city. If you're looking for a stylish, pet-friendly hotel in Asheville, I highly recommend Aloft!

Yelp
Love this hotel!! The people, the location, the bar, and coffee/snacks!! The new pool is beautiful! Pet friendly! Did I mention how great the people are?? If you looking for a trendy, hip hotel in a great location! This is a top notch choice.

Yelp
Stayed here for a few days during the kid's spring break. Perfect spot for a casual stay with kids and pets. One of the most pet friendly hotels we've ever stayed at. They even have pets for adoption at the hotel. Clean and super friendly staff all the way around. The lobby has an amazing bar, restaurant and a breakfast spot that serves fresh food and Starbucks coffee. Pool table and kid's games make it fun for the whole family. The large outdoor patio that overlooks downtown is perfect for a morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Located right in the heart of downtown, there is no need to worry about a car or parking. We could walk to all of the popular restaurants, breweries and lounges within minutes. In addition, they are redoing the rooftop pool area which will be amazing once complete. Adding in a new rooftop bar to the adjoining building that will open this summer (2024) and the place will be epic. We will be back!

Yelp
Came here for my birthday weekend and loved every second. The property is perfectly located in the heart of downtown with a ton of restaurants and breweries well within walking distance. If you aren't interested in going out, their bar provides all of the food and libations to keep you going! Will definitely return!

Yelp
Stayed here recently for a weekend getaway with my bf. This hotel is located in the perfect location if you are looking to stick to downtown Asheville all weekend. Its close to everything in the city center! And only a short drive to West Asheville. I loved the overall vibe of this hotel. They even had a DJ playing at the bar at night. The check-in process was also very smooth, and its nice they have a parking deck located right at the hotel. Parking is always brutal in Asheville so this is definitely a bonus, even if we had to pay additional. The room itself was decent and clean. The bed and pillows weren't the comfiest, but the views were great outside the windows. Overall, if I plan on staying in downtown Asheville again, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Eclectic and modern hotel! Located within minutes of the Biltmore. Welcoming staff. My complaints: there is one microwave available to guests and it is located on the main floor and body wash was not refilled before checking into the room. Great location, bed was comfortable, room was clean.

Yelp
My family of 4 and 2 other friends attempted to stay here. We had went to a concert and came back late to our room. So as we were getting into our room another guest screamed profanity at us to quiet down. My 20 year old son yelled back. He shouldn't have and I told my son to stop and go to bed. He did. After we are in our rooms and everyone laying down to sleep I kept hearing something in the hallway. It was someone pacing around our door. I'm in this room with my wife, young daughter and a young mother. I open the door to see what was going on. After asking this guy. He basically says he is hotel security and he has called the police to ask us to leave. About this time the same guest opens his door and starts screaming profanity again. I asked the hotel staff as to why. He said because the guest that is still screaming profanity has complained about my son that yelled back at him. Basically the police showed up and told us we had no choice but to leave and without a refund! So we all got out of bed got dressed and drove over 2 hours back home. In short 6 guests in 2 rooms were forced to leave our rooms due to one guests complaint . No explanation . Don't take a chance trying to stay here. Asheville has many great places to stay but this is not one of them.

Yelp
Nestled in downtown Asheville, it's a convenient walk to traditional food places up the street or go down the street to taste beers at all the local breweries. This is our 3rd year staying here with short drives (around or less than an hour) to all the great hiking spots. We got complimentary cookies from a local bakery on arrival and a treat bag for my dog! Parking is 15$ charge per night but it's less that what you pay in the parking deck plus you can come/go as you please by scanning your ticket. Hotel rooms are nice size with good views of the city and clean. You can't even tell that doggies stay here. They used to have a doggie pad with turf grass by the pool but now have to take them to use the potty at the church behind the hotel. We don't mind the walk. Bathroom has dispenser in shower for shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. They give you plenty of towels. The lobby has a Starbucks and food items you can order. They also have a bar with local musicians playing some evenings and games you could entertain yourself with. Also features art from local places such as this blown glass display, the local business that made these beautiful pieces is right behind the hotel. You can bring your dog to hang out in these areas as well. Outdoor patio sits over the Biltmore Ave. there are lots of restaurants all around and a cute wine/cheese bar around the back. Highly recommend and we'll be back next year!

Yelp
Lots of construction happening right now, which isn't ideal. Other than that, it was a great 1-night business trip for me. Clean and spacious room. PERFECT location. Easy parking. Kind staff. Nothing to complain about here. My favorite part about this hotel? When I arrived, I saw a little kennel- the hotel promotes dog rescuing and sometimes fosters dogs to help local rescues get them homes... are you kidding me? I almost cried- how adorable. When I was visiting, there wasn't a dog there because it had found it's home just a couple days beforehand. A hotel that promotes rescuing animals is a winner in my book. I'll def be back if I visit Asheville again (fingers crossed). BTW- visit Chestnut directly across the street- incredible food!

Yelp
First time staying at an Aloft and I was really impressed! This location sits right in the middle of downtown Asheville and you will be near just about every kind of restaurant the city has to offer. It is a swanky upscale hotel that has a bar and restaurant inside as well as a Starbucks. The lounge is very relaxing and modernized. The bed was comfy and the room was big enough for us to put all of our luggage in. You will have to pay for overnight parking and they have a loading and unloading area for your luggage. Service was great and the vibe of the hotel matched that of the city. The decor had Asheville themed pictures on the wall. Including a lot of musical artwork. They are a little bit more expensive but if you want to be in the city I highly suggest staying here!

Julie H.

Yelp
This beautiful hotel was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway! Very friendly staff, modern, clean room. The lobby is fun, open and social. The location is perfect - fantastic restaurants, art galleries, shops, and a music venue are within a few blocks. Very walkable area. The hotel has a large pool with sunset views. We will be back soon!

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and very clean hotel for a downtown location! The hotel has great views from the hotel windows and ideal location for getting around to the local fair and breweries. Not ideal was the construction, every night the construction Jack hammers would go from 10-1 am and hard to sleep. This probably was not the construction of the Moxy which we never heard from our location from 7 am-7pm every day. If you like modern and being downtown, I recommend this hotel. Except if you are in a hurry take the stairs, the elevators are super slow.

David H.

Yelp
Am CURRENTLY a guest. Apparently they have TURNED THE HOT WATER OFF!! Without any warning as a guest, they turned off the hot water at 10pm. W...T...F!? Have stayed here many times before without having issues like this.

Laura L.

Yelp
I am currently a guest at this swanky, "urbanesque" hotel smack dab in the middle of Asheville, NC. I arrived last night at the Aloft and was promptly greeted and welcomed by a fine, young, gentleman, Jeremy I. Jeremy has a contagious smile and an uncanny way of making you feel right at home! I asked him to recommend a restaurant and music venue and in the blink of an eye, I had two perfect places to choose from. Thank you, Jeremy!!! I am retiring to my room shortly on the 6th floor. The view is to die for! Location! Location!! Tip: pay for breakfast in advance. The breakfast ciabatta was tasty and quick. Tip: bring Fido!!! I love the pet therapy I receive from all y'all's furry pals. Tip: write a review and mention staff members name if applicable who made you feel "right at home!"

Laura P.

Yelp
Dog friendly! Excellent location - easy to walk anywhere. The staff is very friendly - love the decor - I heard it used to be a W?

Yelp
Aloft is the hotel to stay in downtown Asheville, with close walking distance to all the breweries. I was in town for a bachelor's party, and the best man had selected the Aloft as our base of operations for the weekend festivities. Out of all the hotels, Aloft is my favorite so far when staying in the area, between the stylish rooms and open lobby layout and the comfortable beds and excellent shower amenities. There are many selling points to the Aloft between the room, closet space, internet, access to coffee, quite bites, and cocktails, but the location is by far the biggest one. Stepping out through the electronic sliding doors of the entrance finds you in the heart of downtown on Biltmore Avenue, across the street from City Bakery and White Duck Taco, walking distance from Curate, Wicked Weed, and a ton of different bars, restaurants, breweries, art galleries, and more. When the weather is good and in season, they have a lovely pool area with breathtaking mountain views and a gym room to exercise. Unfortunately, we were there in the middle of January, where they had the pool area shut down for the winter, but I'm sure by the spring, it's great to enjoy so long as the temperatures are warm. The only challenge is the rate, which given the location, will be higher than most in the area. However, off-season (which is the winter) will be better than in the summer, which is peak season. But the price is worth it given the close proximity to everything whether it's the breweries, the restaurants, the sites, the art, anything and everything that makeup downtown Asheville.

Yelp
I stayed at the A Loft around 4 years ago and had no complaints. I thought it was nice, similar to what you would expect at a Hilton or Marriott with a similar price. However I used their parking garage yesterday and found it needlessly stressful. There is a gate at the parking garage entrance with ticket dispensing machine with and screen on it. A sign indicates to take your ticket to use to pay and avoid a $20 daily charge. Then, their screen shows a contradictory message saying your credit card is your ticket. After several attempts it took my card and I drove around looking for a parking spot that wasn't marked "for hotel guests only" and parked. When I returned and was leaving there was a lady in minivan fumbling with her credit cards trying to get the exit gate to open. After a few minutes her reverse lights came on, I frantically motioned for the 3 people behind me to reverse to make room, with one of them blaring their horns. I think i may just take my chances parallel parking on the street next time, getting anxiety about even thinking of parking there again.

Yelp
This hotel was fantastic. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do while on vacation. Lastly, the staff was excellent. I wish I could remember names to mention them. They were beyond accomodating.

Zoe M.

Yelp
I attended a yelp event at aloft hotel in downtown Asheville, where I had some wonderful small bites, as well as two amazing cocktails, "the looking glass", which was refreshing, light, and mildly sweet, as well as the "tequila bramble", which was herbaceous and bright. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, as well as knowledgeable. The rooftop bar is available to the public for food and drinks, and the pool which is open seasonally has day passes available. I will definitely be back, not only for a stay that I was the lucky recipient of, but definitely for some more cauliflower wings & artisanal flatbread pizza.

Yelp
Great staff! They made stay a more pleasantry ! Great view of mountains . Asheville rocks

Jason P.

Yelp
Loved this hotel. We used to stay at Hotel Indigo on all our trips to Asheville, but so so glad we switched it up and tried Aloft. They are SUPER dog friendly (a definite plus for us) and the blackout shades in our room were amazing. Seriously, so many hotels overlook that detail. Took off one star because the water pressure in the shower left a little to be desired (but I know that's an issue in a lot of hotels and, who knows, might have just been our room?). We were on the 3rd floor right by the swimming pool and I worried about noise, but we heard nothing! Our room also shared the view of the sunset that the pool area provides (see photo). 10 minute walk (or less) to breweries and so much shopping and food within a block or two. Will define back!

Falin G.

Yelp
Cute hotel, but a bit over priced. We ended up staying here last minute when our hotel had a pipe bust and closed. It was in a good location, but everything about it was over-priced. From the snack selection to the parking, they like to nickle and dime you to death. We did appreciate the large connect four game and pool table in the open area. Unfortunately, there was also no resident pup there either.

Jon C.

Yelp
First time in Asheville and this place is perfect, everything is walkable ( we averaged 4-5 miles per day) the Biltmore is a 10 minute drive. Room clean, lobby has a bar, you can get snacks and eat breakfast or have a beer. But what really got us was tuxedo, a dog the SPCA has in the lobby that you can adopt. You can " sign the dog out " and let them hang with you on the patio. Great place to be.

Teri P.

Yelp
Great location, convenient to most things downtown. The Bonvoy app said parking would be $10/day, but it was actually $15, however, it allowed in & out privileges & was easy to access. I had checked in on the app, and had my digital room key, but it wouldn't work in the elevator & the staff said it is 50/50 if it would work or not. Our first night was great, second night there was a LOT of noise (other guests, random pipe noises, etc). Appreciated the filtered water dispenser at the ice station. Staff was very friendly & loved the foster dog who greeted us at the front desk. I was impressed by the provided toiletries which were DryBar brand, but wish there was a full size lotion as we used up the tiny travel sized bottle quickly. Since we were traveling friends, I appreciated that the bathroom had a fan in it ;) I really liked that I could play my music via bluetooth & the TV. We found the beds & pillows very comfortable. I did have some trouble finding a sweet spot for the temperature, as the unit pumped out air right in front of the one bed. The pool deck looked like it would be an amazing place to hang out if it were little bit warmer - fire pits & a great view of the mountains at sunset!

Kelly T.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay here previously so it was an easy choice to book again. At this time there is remodeling going on, and being at the Gold Marriott level we were given automatic upgrades such as a city view and a remodeled room on the 6th floor. First off, the remodeling did nothing to soundproof, which should have been a priority. The windows are so poor that I could hear people talking on the street. I could also clearly hear everything that was going on out in the hallway, so little rest was had for this light sleeper. The state of the lounge is particularly sad right now so this was a big disappointment. I insist we'll stay elsewhere next time.

Taryn R.

Yelp
The most dog friendly spot on earth! We stayed at Aloft for 2-nights in February with our hound dog, Andi. She was welcome everywhere in the hotel from lobby bar to guest room bed. We especially enjoyed the dog walk on the 3rd floor for her potty breaks and the goody bag (it had treats and a toy!) they dropped off along with her bed and bowls. Our room was comfortable and had a decent view on the 5th floor. That's how we spotted City Bakery across the street, which was our coffee and baked good stop each morning. The location can't be beat! You're within walking distance of everything downtown Asheville has to offer and a short Uber ride from the charming River Arts District and West Asheville. My only complaint is the price. Luckily, we had a ton of hotel points from a previous stay at the Westin in Charlotte and were able to cash them in to get our room for free. If we had paid, our 2-night stay would have run us over $900. That's more than my monthly mortgage! So unfortunately, even though we really loved our stay at Aloft, we can't afford to come back.

Anthony P.

Yelp
I have been here many times since they opened. Not exactly cheap (what is any more?) but it's reasonably priced and truly in the heart of all the fantastic things downtown Asheville has to offer - restaurants, fun shops, art, etc. I always go for the larger rooms if I'm bringing my family with me, but overall a good vibe to this hotel.

William C.

Yelp
Doesn't have weight/breed restrictions mentioned anywhere during booking (dogs stay free!). Changing plans four days before travel because follow up marketing email received today starts mentioning a 40lb weight restriction. Cancelled king Mountain View suite and looking for VRBO last minute, I guess. Put an asterisk with qualifications like every other property on the universe if you say you accept dogs. Thanks.

Katherine P.

Yelp
After a couple of days of camping on our road trip, we were ready to spend a couple of days in a hotel, and this was the one we reserved when we were looking at a dog-friendly hotel that was close to some of Asheville's breweries. This place is indeed very close to the South Slope Brewing district, as well as a lot of other downtown places. It was very accommodating to our dog, the room was nice and spacious with plenty of room to set up our crate if necessary. It also had some fantastic views of Great Smoky Mountains National Park off in the distance. Some of the other great things - this is one of the hotels that's taken some steps to eliminate waste. They have shampoo and shower gel dispensers right in the shower - no more little plastic bottles, and plenty for two people to use in a couple of nights and multiple showers. We never took advantage of the lounge, bar or pool deck, but they all looked really nice, and were pretty busy when we were there. We did have a quick breakfast at their little mini Starbucks, a nice serving of avocado toast and eggs. They even have a foster dog in the lobby to adopt! A+ - I'd definitely come here were I to visit Asheville again!

Jay W.

Yelp
Kind staff with great local recommendations! The perfect hotel location if walking to local breweries, eateries and seeing this super cute city. Definitely will book again at this Aloft!

Sarah B.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights just as Covid was ending. All in all it was a great stay. The attached public garage is convenient though it's orientation is a bit confusing (enter on floor U and there are also floors named P). It's only $10 a night. Here's a tip- the rooms on the Biltmore side are louder due to street noise ricocheting between the buildings. Great location- you can walk to many many fun places.

Grace H.

Yelp
First off, the staff at this Aloft location were extremely friendly and nice, so this review has nothing to do with them. Also, the hotel has a great location in Asheville. My fiancé and I were in town from Nashville to celebrate my birthday weekend. We are very easy going when it comes to accommodations, but there were a number of issues with our room that ultimately made us to decide to leave after 2 nights instead of staying for our original 3. Details on issues below. First off, we paid for a Mountain View room and the reservation stated it has his and her sinks, the view, and breakfast included. When we got into the room we realized it was a very small handicap room, and it's windows look right out onto the pool patio deck. In other words, if you open the shades anyone on the patio could look right into our room, and there's even seating set up right next to the window. Since it was winter no guests were out there but maintenance and hotel staff walked by a few times each time we were in the room which felt weird. When we came in it was also 65 degrees in the room, and having come from outside where it was 32 we were super surprised to see it wasn't warmer. We turned the heat on and the heater/AC is SO loud. As in, double the volume of your voice and TV if you want to hear them loud. We didn't have an option but to have it on to warm up the room though. The room had one sink instead of the advertised 2. One sink would be fine for us normally, but it was extremely stopped up, so water we used would collect in the clogged drain and dirty water lingered in the sink for a while every time we used it. There were also zero towel hooks to be found anywhere so we had to hang towels on door handles etc. The handicap shower is also VERY small, so my tall fiancé and I both felt very cramped in there and were so surprised it was a handicap designed shower. The shower was also very moldy in the bottom half. Brown mold and mildew was growing in all of the tile grout from about knee height down. The bed platform was also super dusty. There were random hand prints and smears through the dust that showed it hasn't been cleaned in some time. The pillows on the bed were also so bad. Very lumpy and felt like balls of loose cotton balls stuffed in randomly. The blanket was super thin as well. All in all a very uncomfortable bed. Finally, there was no breakfast included. Upon asking the front desk about breakfast, the attendant pointed to the Starbucks kiosk where you could buy breakfast items and coffee. In retrospect, we probably could've gotten another room, but given the COVID situation we didn't want to cause an issue when staff already have lots to manage.

Jessica C.

Yelp
We had a great stay at Aloft, would give 4.5 stars. It was an excellent location, with a lot of great restaurants, bars, shops, and even a brewery in walking distance. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed live music in the hotel bar over the weekend. We had a pool/mountain view room, which was awesome. We could walk right out into the pool deck with lounges right outside and they had a fire pit going in the evening. We were worried it would be too noisy over the weekend but didn't have any issues with noise. It's a dog friendly hotel, so occasionally heard dogs barking, but we love dogs so it didn't bother us. The room did smell a little musty when we arrived. Only other down side was room was a little on the small side but it worked fine for us. We noticed the hotel was filled with art from local artists and thought that was cool. We would stay here again!

Rebecca M.

Yelp
I've stayed at the Asheville Aloft multiple times but something has dramatically changed and the hotel is no longer properly maintained, nor adequately cleaned and the level of service has deteriorated. This is not a hotel I would step foot into again or recommend. The problems started at check in, where I was first assigned a room with a city view even though I paid extra for a mountain view. Then the manager decided to change the room I reserved by putting me in a king instead of two queens. As a Starwood Gold Member, I was surprised I wasn't placed on the Preferred Floor Level as every other Starwood Property has done that regardless of level. I suspect this is because I wouldn't accept the city view room. The room did have nice view although there was construction outside the window. But I did notice that the room had a smell to it and that the carpet was badly stained and a section of carpet was missing. My sinuses started acting up so I realized they put me in a pet room. The windows cannot be opened for fresh air either so not a great way to start the trip. After check in I had left the hotel and didn't return until later and that is when I realized just how nasty this room was as closer inspection one of the stains appeared to be blood. The sheets were stained. The duvet was dirty on one side and a splotch of something on the other side. When I went to grab the pull for the curtains I was absolutely disgusted with the stain on the curtains. The countertop by the had some disgusting substance on it. How was all this missed by housekeeping and the room inspector? Then I discovered the bed had feather pillows. The room was to be defeathered but it seems that the manager didn't care to take care of that. I removed the pillows and all the stained and dirty bedding and attempted to get some sleep. This room was near the stairway so when the door shut it would bang. The walls are thin so it was a noisy night. The first room was $185 a night and $216 with taxes and parking. Definitely not worth the price. Knowing I needed out of that filthy room, I got packed up the next morning and let the desk clerk and manager know about the filthy room. Neither cared in the least and dismissed the issues. Then the room transfer was not coordinated well as the new room was not ready yet. I made sure to request the feather free room and pet free room this time as that wasn't taken care of the day before. I was told pets were allowed in all of the rooms but they would do a "deep clean" and have someone inspect the room first. I thought for sure I'd be given a decent room for the second night but I got a worse nightmare of a room than the day before. I do not believe that room two was deep cleaned, inspected or even cleaned. The room rate for the second night of my stay was $469 and was going to be $515 with taxes. So charging a rate that high in Asheville, NC, you'd expect a top notch quality. But Aloft is not maintained at all. The hotel was built in 2012 so should still be in good condition. This hotel could use a complete remodel or at least replace quite a bit in the rooms. Take a look at the photos to see the condition that these rooms were in. The housekeeping crew must not take much pride in their work or are not given adequate time frames to clean the rooms as in room two, the carpeting didn't appear vacuumed, the floors were not swept or mopped as there was pet hair on the floor and carpets. If the room was deep cleaned and inspected how was that overlooked? The bathroom hadn't been cleaned in months, if ever. There was mold and mildew on the grout. There was dirt and grime in the shower floor and surrounding areas. The walls outside the shower needed to be wiped down and cleaned. The floor, floorboards and even the toilet paper holder were covered in dust. But the rest of the room was just as nasty. The door wasn't cleaned as there were fingerprints all over the evacuation sign. Then you could see yucky stuff in other spots near the left-hand side of the door. But more than the nasty conditions, housekeeping missed the leaky sink that left a puddle on the floor. they missed the large velcro strip on the floor left by a previous guest. The desks were damaged and the rolling chair had holes in it. On my last day, coming back in the hotel from brunch, my keys would not work on the elevator. So that sent me back to the desk so I could get back in the room to grab my stuff and get out of the hotel from hell. The same desk clerk from the last two days was there and blamed me for this even though it was an hour before checkout. If you are looking for an expensive, poorly maintained hotel with unsanitary rooms that do not get adequately cleaned. Along with rude, dismissive and unhelpful front desk staff where you are treated as an inconvenience. Then this is the hotel for you. For everyone else, you will be happier staying at another hotel.

Yelp
Whenever we visit a city, we always try to stay in a downtown hotel. We want to be able to head back to our hotel after a day of sight seeing and not have to get in our car again to go out to eat or to checkout the night life of a city. We were planning a trip to Asheville, North Carolina to see the Biltmore Estate's Christmas display. Tossing around the idea of staying at a hotel on the Biltmore Estates, we decided instead to stay in a downtown Asheville hotel. Based on reviews and photos that we found, we chose Aloft Asheville Downtown. It was perfect! Aloft Asheville is located in the southern part of downtown Asheville an area known as the South Slope. If you are into breweries, and we are, this location is a dream come true. We simply had to walk out the door, turn right and within a block was Wicked Weed Brewery. From there all within a short distance was Green Man Brewery, Burial Beer and more. If you're not into Asheville Breweries, no problem, turn left and you are headed further into downtown Asheville (and more breweries - apparently Asheville has more breweries per capita than any other city!) Restaurants, bars, and even a movie theater all right there, within easy walking distance! When you go in the ground floor entrance of the hotel, there is a sporting goods apparel store on the left and a sign directing you to go the second floor to check in. The second floor is bright and colorful. It has a quick grab-and-go section with Starbucks coffee and snacks. There is a comfortable seating area. The check in desk is a round station in the middle. On the other side is a bar/lounge. My favorite part (you can see it in the photo above is that they foster dogs!) In a small gated in area, they had the cutest little foster dog. It seemed like every time we came through the lobby, someone had the pup on their lap. We later saw that next to the pool, there is an artificial turf walking area for dogs. My husband is allergic to dogs and we had no problems with this hotel. Our room and all the areas that we were in were kept very clean. No pet odors or hair any where! We choose a mountain view, 2 queen beds room. It was very tastefully and simply decorated. A window seat in front of the window encouraged you to sit and gaze out at the mountains. Straight down we could see the pool. There was a fire pit at the pool and lots of comfortable seating - we will definitely go back in warmer weather. If you turned you head a little bit, the mountains were right there. I sat on the seat enjoying the view and a cup of coffee. The beds were very comfortable. There was also a coffee maker, a mini fridge and free wifi. The bathroom was on the other side of the wall from the bedroom. It too was decorated simply. The highlight was the shower. Oh my gosh. I am still dreaming about that shower. It had the best water pressure, it was definitely one of the best showers of my life! The dispensers in the shower held Bliss body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. We loved our stay at Loft Asheville Downtown. We were within walking distance of breweries, restaurants and shopping. It was less than a 10 minute drive to Biltmore Estates. We also loved that we had the option to hang a card on our door saying that we wanted to go green and to not change out sheets and towels. Each day we earned a $5.00 reward card that we could use at the grab-and-go, or you could apply it to Marriott Rewards, which is what we did! I'm looking forward to going back when the weather is warmer and enjoying that pool and get in some hiking!

Yelp
My husband and our 2 dogs stayed here earlier this month and really enjoyed our short 1-night stay! But we can't wait to return! The hotel is in a really great central location, with parking under the building. We've actually parked here a few times before in past visits to Asheville. Our room was very comfortable and wasn't noisy (we had a mountain view room). The bed was so comfortable, that I called the hotel after I got home to ask what kind of mattresses they use! So, thank you! I was very excited to not only find a hotel that allows 2 dogs but didn't have any extra fees or weight restrictions. This is incredibly rare. My dogs enjoyed their stay and there are nearby green spaces for them to use the bathroom. This was my first hotel stay since COVID started and everything was very clean and there were hand sanitizer stations by the elevators. We stayed on a Wednesday night and didn't encounter anyone in the hallways or elevator.

Yelp
This place is centrally located. Good places to eat and drink within walking distance. Clean. Eclectic way to check-in by going upstairs so it was a little confusing mad people were just hanging out in the "lobby" playing pool and chilling. I was tired and Sharin was pleasant and got is checked in and taken care of in no time.

Yelp
Had an absolute wonderful stay at the Aloft. This will be the hotel I choose the next time I go there. Room was great, bed was comfortable, service was outstanding, location is super convenient, and parking was right onsite. Shoutout to Megan for being an amazing guest service rep.

Yelp
For the price that I booked it at and the location the Aloft is a hard deal to beat. To begin with, it is in the heart of downtown Asheville so you are within walking distance of all kinds of restaurants and breweries. The rooms themselves aren't exactly spacious but they are plenty cozy and comfortable. Unfortunately, the alarm clock in my room wasn't working so I grabbed the phone to call down to the front desk only to find out that the phone wasn't working either. I was able to get the clock fixed/changed but the phone remained out of commission for the duration of my stay. These are what keep me from giving the Aloft 5 stars. While these were mild annoyances I would totally stay here again. My room had a beer fridge. I mean, you pretty much have to have a beer fridge, it's Asheville. You also have a bar with plenty of TVs in the lobby. Parking is reasonably priced if you need it. All in all, it was a great stay and I'd give it another go.

Yelp
Always our favorite place to stay when visiting downtown Asheville. Friendly staff and clean, minimalist rooms. Notes for parents of small children: 1) they do offer rolling cribs for little ones, but they are deep. If you have a child who isn't standing, getting your baby in and out of the crib is a great way to hurt your back. 2) both of the restrooms on the lobby floor do have changing stations, but they're blocked by trash cans. You're going to have to be okay with rearranging the restroom if you want to change your baby without returning to your room.

Yelp
PROS: I love how it's dog friendly. I really liked the little area for the dogs to do their business on the third floor. It was very convenient for us since we stayed on third floor. There is an adoption dog on the second floor my dog enjoyed playing with. He was so adorable. I wanted to take him home. They didn't have water bottles for the guest, but they did have a little area to fill up your own personal water bottles on each floor. I liked that better because it cuts down on plastic waste. There was also a little freezer by the water fountain that contained little individual packages of ice. CONS: We stayed in room 331. The shampoo/condition dispenser wouldn't dispense any soap. We didn't want housekeeping our first night so we hung a sign on our door. If you hang the sign on your door before 2am, the hotel gives guests a $5 voucher the next morning. We wanted housekeeping the following day so we removed the signed, but no one came nor did we get another voucher. OTHER COMMENTS: There are a lot of pictures this lady posted about the hotel being dirty. It's a hotel with dogs. I don't really know what she was expecting. I honestly didn't think it was dirty at all. It was just as clean as any other hotel, but better since you can bring your dog. AND, they don't discriminate on what breed your dogs are, all is welcomed.

Yelp
Very nice upscale modern hotel in an amazing location! Room was very clean and the hotel took great measures for covid safety. Absolutely loved having Rosie in the lobby; the hotel hosts a dog in the lobby for adoption by a local rescue center. If we didn't live in Florida we would have certainly adopted her and showed her the beach life!

Yelp
The Aloft Asheville Downtown hotel is the perfect place for those traveling with dogs. We recently stayed for a few nights in a city view king room, which was as described from Aloft's website's photos and text. When I checked in to my room, an ARF (animals are fun) package was delivered to my room which included a dog bed, two dog bowls, several treats from a local dog treat bakery, poop bags, and a Kong squeaky ball. The dog run on the third floor (covered in artificial turf) was a convenient and safe option for late-night dog walking. On the first floor, an interactive floor projection let my dog "chase fish" for a few entertaining minutes. Parking is $9/night in their garage. We grabbed some coffee and quick bites at the Re:fuel breakfast bar. In the afternoon, the Re:mix lounge had plenty of folks of all ages enjoying pool, reading books, etc. The W XYZ bar had daily specials including $3 featured local beer drafts on the Thursday we visited. Also, there was complimentary tastings each afternoon during certain times. The Ledge was a beautiful place to take snacks and our dog for some people watching in the afternoon. We declined housekeeping while we were there for 2 nights, and for each night we received a $5 gift cart to the breakfast/bar area for food. So, I snagged cold brew for breakfast and an app for dinner with my $10 credits for declining housekeeping. I didn't use the pool while there, nor did I use the Re:charge gym. The fire pit (around the pool) was beautiful, overlooking the living roof. While the room itself was clean, I did notice some pink and black mold/mildew in the white shower grout. Other Yelpers noted this as well. So, if you're looking for a spotless hotel, this might not be for you. Our bed was fairly hard and not comfortable for me; I wish it had a pillowtop or pillowtop cover. However, this is 5/5 stars for an affordable downtown Asheville option when traveling with pets.

Yelp
So far, so good. Tip for first timers - self park in the lot next door and it's $9 a night. A bargain if you ask me! Nice layout and very central to all the downtown Asheville goodies. They even offer some perks for gold Starwood members that I am not sure other Alofts offer.

Yelp
Hsving visited the Jacksonville location a couple of times, we felt comfortable booking this hotel in Asheville. It was even more beautiful than the Jacksonville one, and of course we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms looked exactly the same as in Jacksonville which gave it a very comfortable home feeling. The main difference was how pet friendly they were. They had welcome bags for dogs, a holding area with toys and and outdoor doggie walk area. Loft style, with the bathroom and closet when you walk in, and bedroom office on the other side. The furnishings are modern and fresh. They were able to have a crib sent up. The bedding came in new, unopened plastic packaging bags, so we knew they had never been used. There was plenty of space to have the crib in the room without being cramped. The concierge ladies were amazing. Each night they had another great suggestion for dinner.

Yelp
Literally the best location in Asheville. Within walking distance to the top restaurants, galleries and art museum in town. Our room was cute but compact. The pool was really nice after a day of sightseeing. Everything was clean and modern. The parking was only $10 a day. Would stay here again n my next visit to Asheville

Yelp
Love, love, Love this place! We spent one night here during our first trip to Asheville. The hotel was in the perfect location right in the center of everything. The parking was super convenient. We were pleasantly surprised to see how dog friendly the hotel was, with awesome dog art and decor adorned throughout, as well as a shelter rescue display. The best part was meeting Lolly, their 100th foster that the hotel has taken on. Our room was contemporary, clean and chill. The oversized bed was super comfy and the shower was great! Loved the toiletries, smelled great. The rooftop lounge was super relaxing to wind down after a night around the city. We took advantage of the awesome pool area too. The service overall was excellent and this place would definitely be my choice to stay again when we visit neat Asheville.

Yelp
5 wonderful nights at this amazing hotel. Cabana room off the pool is the greatest spot. Absolutely so dog friendly - there's even a dog up for adoption in the lobby - as I understand this is about the 81st dog!! Dogs are welcome everywhere. The breakfast restaurant is wonderful. Nice menu. Beautiful bar. At night they open the glass doors of the lobby so the huge outdoor deck is exposed. Just hanging at the hotel pool and lobby floor is so relaxing. Incredible staff. Hotel design is a killer. Close to everything. Small charge for parking. Microwave on lobby floor. Computers in lobby.

Yelp
This is a pretty nice place to stay but I would caution you if you have allergies to pets they allow pets in all rooms not just a few select rooms. Of course they don't disclose that to you when you book or check in. Also during my stay the bathroom was not very clean as you can see from these pictures. Of course the staff was very friendly and the hotel is very convenient to many things around.
