Aloft Houston by the Galleria

We showed up at 3:30 to check in, right at check-in time, and were told our room wasn’t ready and it would be another 30 minutes. No big deal, we went to grab food nearby and figured it would be ready when we got back. An hour later, we called to check in again. Still not ready. This time we were told it would be another hour. We had an event to get to and couldn’t just sit around the lobby all evening waiting on a “maybe.” We ended up canceling the room, scrambling to find another hotel last minute, and paying more just so we wouldn’t miss our event. Beyond frustrating. What really pushed it over the edge was the acting manager. Instead of taking ownership, they passed the blame and told me I could speak to the director of housekeeping. That’s not how you handle guests, especially when multiple people were sitting in the lobby saying they had a wedding to get to and had already been waiting for hours. Completely unprofessional. If you’re on a tight schedule or have somewhere important to be, I’d seriously think twice before booking here.

I want to give a HUGE shout out to Angel, the young lady with Angel the day I came trying to escape the hotel I was currently staying at (forgot your name), Morgan, Leonard, and the super cool NEW dude with the platinum hair (forgot your name)! The red carpet was rolled out for me during my stay. The phenomenal customer service, amazing hospitality, clean and cozy room, jaw dropping accommodations, and all the LOVE they showed me during my birthday staycation is unmatched! I was treated like Michelle Obama and that’s not over exaggerating. I highly recommend staying at Aloft and indulging in a fun staycation. The vibe is right, there are plenty of eating spots in the vicinity, and like me, you’ll get tons of work done. I will be back! Thank you Aloft team for blessing me beyond measure, my birthday was amazing and memorable. I truly love y’all!!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Aloft. It served my purpose for my business trip. There were renovations going on which did not affect my experience. The room as a whole was fine, bed was comfy but lighting was not great. There was a fan I could not shut off in the bathroom that was loud. The setup did not allow a solid place for me to do business and plug my computer in. I had to create a makeshift work space. But overall it was fine. I did have frustration with payment because my company was had an account but my card was still charged. Before I checked out, Courtney at the front desk was exceptional going above and beyond to help remedy this situation. She was able to remedy the situation. She even went above and beyond again by covering the cost of my breakfast for the inconvenience. It was Courtney that left me feeling positive about my entire stay.

First, I just want to thank Morgan and Leonard for helping me out of a bind. I misbooked my dates, and they were completely sold out. They monitored cancellations overnight and were able to book me for the last night I needed, so I didn’t have to change hotels. The hotel is currently going through an upgrade, and the rooms look great—clean and with that fresh, new-room feel. Thanks again to the Aloft team for going above and beyond!

Upon arrival, I stopped by the bar. The place was really nice. Looked very beautiful. The upgrades they have done. Look amazing. The bartender Allen is out of this world. Really? Great amazing person able to talk to very easily and listens. And attends to their clientele. Great job, Alelan, keep it up.

We were supposed to check-in at 3pm, they said it was running late to have a room available and would call when it was ready in 30ish minutes. An hr goes by and no call. We finally were able to check in at 7:45pm. The heated pool is a really warm room with a pool in it, the water was freezing. All night we heard scratching and digging in the walls. At least the bed were comfortable. For how much it cost, it was not a good experience.

Had a great stay here recently. Location was great for the Galleria. Staff was awesome! Room was nice and had a great layout. Lobby was also quite nice for working and/or grabbing a bite/drink. Next time I'm in Houston I'm staying here again.

Great location. My mini-Schnauzer, Stella and I have stayed here nearly a dozen times in the last two years. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. They are undergoing major renovations but it has never been an inconvenience for the guests.

If you are looking for an inexpensive stay near the Houston Galleria mall area, pick this. If not, it's not the best option for Bonvoy elite. But the staff was so nice! The hotel was very clean. I was surprised at the experience I had here! I typically stay in the other Marriott hotels like Westin, Autograph, JW, even courtyard and even residence inn. I find the Aloft to be a bit funny with the layout for the amount of sunlight I like to get in the morning. The breakfast area was the not so great part of my stay. The person cooking there that morning I stayed there (10/14/24) was not friendly at all. He wasn't helpful and they were out of regular half and half. I found underwear on the floor near the elevator but they were quickly removed by the time I came back inside. Hotel is quiet.

NIGHTMARE STAY - READ THIS BEFORE BOOKING! Let me save you $1,400 and a massive headache. DO NOT STAY AT THE ALOFT GALLERIA. I stayed on Saturday, November 8th, and it was a catastrophe from start to finish. The entire hotel is a construction site, and they have no regard for guest safety or property. Here's what happened to me: * THEY GOT MY U-HAUL TOWED: I asked where to park my small U-Haul. The maintenance supervisor TOLD me to park across the street. I did exactly what he said. A few hours later, it was GONE. I had to pay $348.38 to get my stuff back from the tow yard. UNBELIEVABLE. * THEY DESTROYED MY CAR TIRE: Their parking garage ramp is covered in construction junk. I ran over something and blew out a tire on my Audi. $660 later... all because they can't keep their property safe. * THEY CHARGED MY CARD ILLEGALLY: They slapped my card with $400 in unauthorized charges after I checked out. * THE ROOM WAS GROSS: The room was dark and felt like a prison cell. The furniture was broken and the place was just sad. I have never written a review like this, but the sheer negligence and financial impact deserve a warning to others. I needed accommodations for a few days since I was in Houston for work. Great spot close to the mall and restaurants. My co workers and I enjoyed a few drinks at the bar. My room was clean and the workers were all nice.

I had a confirmed reservation with Aloft. I booked this room months before my stay and was completely blindsided when they canceled my booking without warning or explanation. No call. No email. Just gone. I planned ahead and chose Aloft for its location and my past stays at other Aloft locations have been great, but this level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. When I called, I received no real answers or solutions--just vague excuses and no accountability. This wasn't just an inconvenience. It was disrespectful to my time, energy, and plans. If you're considering staying here DON'T. Don't trust that your reservation will be honored. I expected better from a Marriott-affiliated property. I'll be thinking twice before ever booking with Aloft again.

My husband's cousin was getting married and this was the designated hotel with a block of rooms available to us. We happily booked for the discount and it was a really cute boutique hotel in the Galleria area of Houston. We were there for 3 nights. It definitely skews modern, aka younger, but the amenities were nice. We checked in online but still had to stop by the front desk for our keys even though they offer digital keys via the Marriott Bonvoy app. We were given a room on the 10th floor which was great. You can still hear the sirens in the night but there is a CVS across the street where you can get ear plugs, if needed. I ended up asking for additional towels and pillows which was initially requested via the app prior to check-in, but weren't provided until I asked again. The bed was comfortable and we had a view of the CVS. The heater & A/C unit was noisy but could be shut off manually. Our room just had a shower, no bathtub, and there were large shampoo dispensers in the shower stall. There are plenty of outlets available in the room to charge your electronics and the wide screen TV was nice. I liked that the ironing board was stored near the bed instead of the closet. It was a good use of space. The hotel has a bar, lounge area with outside patio, mini mart area, gym, indoor pool (not heated), and adjacent parking structure. We didn't get breakfast but their kitchen opened in the mornings for breakfast items like breakfast burritos, croissants, coffee, etc. We ended up walking to nearby establishments for breakfast. The hotel is dog friendly and the staff was cordial. I'd stay here again if I were coming back to Houston.

Stayed here for three night this week and had the best service from 'Tiki' at the front counter. She was awesome to deal with! She has been respectful, professional and great with service. You have an Allstar here! The room was cozy and housekeeping did a great job. Great location to restaurants and The Galleria. Clean and modern.

Road side motel or Aloft downtown Houston? I'd say there's not much of a difference. This place is a dump. Rooms smells, bathrooms smells. No hot water. Rooftop bar is a dump.

Dirty, dirty, dirty. Checked in no hot water, phone in room does not work and TV is non functional. Do they care , after talking to staff it's clear they don't care. Suspect that's why it's so filthy. Many hotels in the area - suggest another be used.

I stayed here five years ago for business during the week and had no problem. Five years later I stayed again for a weekend stay in Houston and it was a much different experience. I guess my standards have changed since now I feel like this is a younger person's hotel who has a more limited budget and plans on arriving back at their room early in the morning after the clubs have closed singing in an awful voice and waking up those that are asleep (this seriously happened, I just had to laugh at the situation). I'm told by someone in the industry that hotels usually are redone every five years. Well, Aloft Galleria hotel is in need of facelift. Its a good thing the hotel is going for a dark sexy vibe because it probably hides some of the shabbiness. The carpets look dirty and the hotel smelled of cigarettes even though it is a smoke free property. We booked a room here because of the indoor pool, which we figured would be convenient if it rained as tends to happen often in Houston. The pool isn't heated and had large vents blowing cold air so it was chilly. It looked to be in need of a cleaning as tends to be the case with most pools of hotels I've stayed at during the pandemic with limited staff. There was a fidget spinner, debris, and hair floating in the pool. There was a patio with chairs and a fire pit outside the pool in front of the hotel but if you exited the pool door to the patio, the door will lock and you can't get back to the pool. Instead you will have to walk by the bar and lobby to get back to the pool or your room. Staff seemed rather uninterested. We bought some snacks in the lobby and charged them to the room. My husband went back to get a spoon and the front desk clerk asked him how he wanted to pay so he hadn't really paid attention when we paid. My husband told the clerk it was already charged to the room. The clerk then had to look it up to confirm. The safe box in our room wasn't working but we told the clerk and a maintenance man came up right away to fix it. You will hear lots of noise from cars and motorcycles zooming on Westheimer at night. The A/C unit is also very loud. This is a dog friendly hotel and the elevator in the garage smelled like it. Mopping inside the elevator would probably help with that. The bed was very comfortable and appeared clean though! Only one large bath towel was provided (odd) and we didn't have a "Do Not Disturb" sign but the cleaning staff was in our hallway so it was easy to get those items. Complimentary bottled water, magazines, and throw pillows for the bed were not provided as in the past but weren't necessary. The glass shower door didn't close properly so the floor got all wet in front of the toilet. I would not stay here again but for someone younger just wanting to have a good time and not break the bank it would probably suffice.

This place is really awesome! Why did i say that? It's the crew that made this place exceptional! Experience it yourself...this is like your home away from home, a very friendly and family atmosphere place to stay. Thank you so much

This was truly the worst stay I've ever had at any hotel, much less a Marriott. I travel often for work, and was in Houston for one night for the National Championship game. Our room was dirty and not much worked (sent photos to the manager), the hallways felt terribly unsafe (like any old person could walk in and there were rooms that were just taped off and unusable), there was a loud banging noise ALL night long on the roof, so no sleep was had. I even asked about why there was a jar full of ear plugs at the desk upon check in and was told it was due to "drag racing" on the streets below us. I now know it was due to the ridiculous banging. When I called down to the desk, the rudest man I may have ever come across told me that there is nothing he can do about "outside noise" but the noise was part of the hotel building. He also hung up on me three times. The phone in the room didn't work, so I used my cell phone, and he huffed and said "not you again" when he finally answered the phone for the fourth time. It was clear we would have to stick it out at this point. I received an email the night prior to my stay telling me I received a complimentary upgrade to a nicer view. Take a look at the view, if you dare. I travelled with my two small children and husband. I asked three times for a crib to be delivered to my room (once before arrival - no crib, and twice at check in). The exasperated check in woman told me she'd have to call it in and it would be waiting in our room. Shockingly...upon our late return to the room after the football game, there was in fact still no crib. We were told to wait another hour (this was around 11p) and the crib that was finally delivered was broken and unusable. We called down again to request a different one for my infant son, and were told that was the best they had. Historically, Aloft has been a fine, basic hotel stay for quick trips. We decided to go to the game at the last minute and this was the only room in Houston I could find. I wish we'd have driven back to Austin instead. My husband went to the "bar" to have a drink and there was not much in the way of food or beverages. They have one food (wings), and no dipping sauces. The tab for 3 drinks with the crappy well alcohol was $92. What a joke. We couldn't even get anyone to deliver the missing water bottle we didn't have in our room upon arrival. Not even close to the normal standard at an Aloft or another Marriott property. Never again. When I asked for a discount upon checkout, I was told no.

Upon my check in the guy at the front desk told me if I used my cash app card for the hold I would never get my money back which was not true at all When I got to my room the ceiling had a lot of patch work and the room never cooled down even after the air was placed on 60 so my stay was very hot When I went down to check out the guy at the desk told me it was nothing he could do about it that I could grab some water if I wanted I will never be staying at the aloft again poor service and quality

Booked Aloft because of their rating as dog friendly with my BringFido app and it was true. They are truly dog friendly. Upon check-in there were treats waiting in a big doggie cookie jar at the front desk. Although Aloft is part of the W chain which is known for boutique style which in my mind is code for small rooms, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the room was spacious and well appointed with a desk and plenty of room for all of the luggage and there was a bench area in front of the beds for seating as we did have some guests with pizzas and that worked out perfectly. The bathroom area was large and that is where I set up Cleos water and food bowls. Under the bathroom sink area there was a mini fridge and behind the sink area was a single serve coffee maker and a complimentary bottle of water. Ironing board, iron and blow dryer were all available in the bathroom area. It was compact but nicely done. The closet area was also in the bathroom. Water pressure in the shower was amazing and hot water was always available. The towels were very nice but not extremely soft, but soft enough. Parking is ordinarily $22 a day but during the holidays it was free and if you are handicapped it is $11 a day. There is a parking garage on premises so you should have no problem with parking and your car will be safe. Now for the dog walking facilities green space. Where as lots of downtown hotels have limited green space for dogs to potty, this location has lots of green space for dogs to relive themselves. If you want to talk your dog for a nice walk, the hotel sits basically on the corner where you can walk the block totally around and come back, probably around 10-15 minutes and your back at the hotel. It's pretty fantastic as most properties don't have this luxury type walking space. Cleo loved it! She especially loved walking up to the fountain at Ruth Chris next door. I think she's wants one of those as an outside waterfall when she gets home. So many Pooches were visiting during our visit and all were being so well mannered and greeting each other with the international dog handshake, the butt sniff, then they wanted to play. There was an after Christmas appreciation party on 12/26 for the guests with live music @wxyz which was very nice. We opted to go green and have housekeeping only every three days and for that you received extra reward points. The facilities were amazing, the staff was friendly, the floors were quiet, the dogs were all well behaved and the beds were comfy as comfy could be. Cleo says let's come back tomorrow! We definitely give this place 5 stars and 4 paws of perfection! Thank you Aloft for being furbaby friendly! See you soon!

This is the right place to go to when you are traveling with a dog. There is a convenient place to walk the dog. Accomadations are excellent. Staff is excellent and responds to every question and need. Location is terrific for getting around. CVS is across the street. Design of hotel is smart and lends itself to a nice environment. Join the Marriot Bonvoy club.

Wish we hadn't decided on Aloft Galleria! Only 1 elevator for the ENTIRE property! Ice machine broken, so we had to keep going downstairs ( 1 working elevator) to ask for ice from the bar! No phone in room! ( was told to download their app!) Shower door didn't close right ! Cheaply finished ceiling!! Save yourself the disappointment and stay somewhere else!

This hotel is not worth mentioning. They have matchbox size rooms, no complimentary breakfast and the paid breakfast taste like it should have been free. The door that separates the shower and toilet from the sink, is SUPER HEAVY. The parking for any guest you have is $25, although your parking will be included in the price of the room. It's in a great area with the Galleria being 1 light away, but it's not one of the better hotels in the area.

We stayed one night recently. I wasn't thrilled to learn parking would be $22 per night, but that's not really a big deal. They had fast WiFi in the rooms, which was nice. What we didn't like was a noisy air conditioning unit and a tremendous amount of noise from the street below. We should have asked for a quieter room. The only thing I require when I stay in a hotel is cleanliness and quiet. It was clean but way too noisy. We slept without the air conditioner on and the room didn't get hot fortunately. The street noise woke us both up a few times though.

Good price ($92 per night), decent location which both make up for a bit run down hotel. Parking is plentiful but is $22 per day while ample free parking is found around. Could not get anyone to come and clean the room after day 1, so I just settled for clean towels. No room service, and fire alarm went off on Sunday morning... If you are hunting for the price and are not amenities/service focused this hotel is a good deal.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I booked two nights for a conference I was attending in Houston. My room smelled of dog urine, the ceiling had spots on it that looked like mold. I was willing to look past those two things, however by the time I left for my conference, I could not stand the smell and asked the front desk to switch rooms. The front desk gentleman was nice and accommodating and said when I returned I could switch. The second room was not much better. The shower had a brown stain on the floor and my second room still smelled of urine. Halfway through the night my TV stopped working. I could not take it anymore and at 5am I left the hotel (on the first night) and booked at a different hotel. I will be sending photos to the manager.

Great boutique Hotel in the heart of Houston. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Pros. -Great customer service, the staff makes you feel like you're staying at an old friends house. -Indoor bar that also caters to small bites. -Clean and recently updated in its atmosphere, great vibe inside. -24/7 amenities. -Updated rooms, free wifi, free streaming options, pool and small gym. Located in central Houston, 3 minutes from the mall, 10 minutes from local bars and about 25 from tourist attractions. -Would definitely recommend and stay at again.

No - not a great experience, and certainly not worth the money! It's very basic, the rooms are clean, but tiny, and there's not even an ice machine on every floor, only on the "lobby" which is hardly a lobby. The staff is nice but services are very minimal. Do yourself a favor and pay a few more dollars to get a much better experience and a nicer hotel!

I'm writing this review specifically for two individuals that work here - Damarcus and Jonathan. Both gentlemen showed me kindness in a moment I very seriously needed it, and they had no idea. A testament to who they must be every moment of every day. Thanks to you both for that, those small gestures of kindness meant more than I can explain.

Just arrived from A Loft Dallas, which was really great. However, this location was a hot mess - checked in, front desk attendant was clueless and rude. Colleague had to change room, window was shattered & shade was broken. All 3 colleagues rooms were never made up or clean towels replaced. Overall experience - don't stay at this property ever.

The experience at the Aloft Houston by the Galleria was great except for two things: 1: Room service did not clean our room. 2: The parking system never worked. Note - this hotel had an indoor pool (very rare find in Houston)

When you're traveling with a dog, any hotel that doesn't charge a really high pet fee is attractive. We've stayed at Aloft hotels before with our pup and have had great experiences - this one was no different and of course we were happy that there was no extra charge. The location was great for what we needed in Houston and the hotel itself was clean, bright and relaxing. If you've stayed at an Aloft before, you know what to expect: modern, somewhat minimal in the rooms and trendy. When we walked into the hotel, we were greeting by a wonderful receptionist at the front desk and she gave our pup treats. Every time that we passed through the lobby the staff was friendly and kind. The only sort of "negative" I have is that we continue to book Marriott hotel rooms through third parties because they're consistently cheaper. We have called Marriott each time to book a room and they claim they can't match the third party websites. We don't really care how we book the hotel rooms - we're just always looking for the best deal. This has nothing to do with the local staff at the Aloft hotel, but Marriott would be more of a "go-to" for us if they matched the prices we find online.

How do I even start.... The cleaning service was nice even though my girlfriend yelled at them. They key card box was on the floor when we walked up to the room. There are no microwaves in the rooms so we had to always go downstairs when we wanted to heat our food. The guests next door to were having the loudest party in life. I can't really hold that against the hotel. There were hairs in our bed and soap scum every where, which is why my girl yelled to come service our room while we went out for the evening and guess what? We can back to our toilet broken. The walls are paper thin and you have to be able to lift 350 lbs to open the room door. This hotel is very afford so it's a prime example of " you get what you pay for".but at least parking was free and the view at night was cool. I wouldn't stay here again though.

I really like ALoft hotels! I've stayed at this location before without any issue, but this time around it wasn't so pleasant. Day one our toilet wouldn't flush and we had no towels. They brought us towels and sent maintenance up. Maintenance told us we just needed to press and hold the handle.... that was his solution. The next morning, the toilet still isn't flushing and we needed more towels. When we called the front desk again at about 7:15am, they tell us that if we want towels we have to come down and get them. They also state that no one from matinence is here until after 8. It was really just a huge inconvenience, especially with what we paid to stay here.

We stayed over the weekend there and didn't have any issues. The room was nice and clean and the staff was great. Very friendly. We had an issue with our bathroom light bulb and they came and fixed it. my only suggestion is that their indoor pool was cold and you would have thought it would be room temperature or warmer. however the younger kids had a blast. will use them again and knowing they are in several cities is very convenient.

Great stay! The staff were so warm and welcome and the hotel overall is just so cute! The room was a nice size, the amenities were plentiful and close enough to have access to many places. A friend and I were visiting Houston and find this place in hotels tonight. Super affordable and after staying, definitely woulda paid more. I'd recommend staying here if you're in Houston. The only thing is, I don't love indoor pools, so I didn't care, but the pool area was super humid and I couldn't imagine swimming in there. The gym and bar area were both great!

I stayed at the aloft a couple nights ago and it was just like home. Recently in transition from apartments and I needed a getaway for the weekend. It was the perfect place to go to relax, kick up my feet, and just have some nice peaceful time to myself. The front desk attendants were so friendly, the happy hour from 5-7 p was sensational. The location puts you right in the heart of the galleria area. Nothing is too far, and you still get that feel of being in your own world. The only thing is that there were so many parties going on that the house keeping couldn't get me any towels, due to them having to clean up after events. But overall it was a great, cozy, comfortable experience and I will always go back. I even signed up to be a preferred guest. This is a great place, that isn't too expensive to get that quick getaway you've been searching for.

As far Aloft hotels go, this one is probably slightly below average. - TOO MANY THINGS BROKEN. Ironing board. Hangers. Desk outlets, hardly anything seemed to be working. - UNCOMFORTABLE BEDDING. I guess you could say, "you get what you pay for" in an average situation, but here you really don't. Given that the price is comparable to the Westin and Sheraton next door, this is a rip off. The thread count and sheets are horrible, very uncomfortable. - GOOD SERVICE. I had no issues with bad service that others have described here. Had very pleasant interactions with the staff, SPG Keyless worked smoothly. - CLEAN. This one is obviously important, the hotel was very clean throughout. Breakfast area is nice too. To sum it up, this hotel should be priced about 30 to 40% of what it is right now for me to give a better review and overlook some of the items noted above.

Aloft has lost it's touch. Especially this one. It's dated, worn out and needs some help. The front desk staff is pleasant and helpful so far. Try another hotel in the area at this price point.

Hotel and bathroom looks nothing like the pictures. Was upset of the fact the showers looked disgusting only realizing it was the paint coming off. The staff were friendly and did inform us that it is a old hotel and all the rooms practically looked the same. There was no microwave in the room. Ceiling looked like it had water damage. For the price I paid for this room for 4 days didn't meant the expectation. I stayed at fairway up the street for cheaper and bigger and nicer room.

Fridge in room didn't work. Meitjer did phone, some of the lights. pillow had been stepped on with someone's shoe and put back on bed. Didnt feel safe. checkout was 11 however banging on door at 8am to see if I was still in my room.

I wish I could give a ( Negative ) PLEASE don't use this company, I book this trip with my fiancé once we got to check in. The front desk lady tell us .. due to the cov19 the gym is closed, we are not serving breakfast and the maids .. wasn't cleaning up the room. I was completely shock!! I ask her what am I paying for she said just the room. Now we check into our room I'm getting ready to take a shower their ants all in the bath room ( Nasty ) I end up getting my room change over but I was already over this trip, once I got back home I email the company I wanted a full refund . The company respond back and said we will review the case within 10 business day I sent that email in August 16. The company respond back to me on August 18 telling me they wouldn't give me a refund smh. I am upset because that information was never disclose on the website,

My company put us up here after Hurricane Harvey decided he wanted us out of our house. It's an OK place, really great for a single traveler but for someone who is displaced & sharing a room with your sig-other the place got cramped quickly. Luckily they have a nice common, bar & outdoor area. Modern & sleek this place really reminded me of a college dorm with a small roundish desk, a grab n go section offering snacks & drink, pool table & common area with tons of seating. The place is kept very clean & the staff are so freakin friendly. Make a note: if you put one of those eco-friendly cards on your door for housekeeping to skip you, they will do so for the rest of your stay. You have to tell the front desk you want your room cleaned. The bar food offered is microwaved / prepared by the bartender, so please do not eat there. Thank goodness Ruth's Chris has room service to the hotel & some eateries within walking distance. The morning breakfast burrito consisted of (I believe) sheet baked scrambled eggs that are then cut into cubes like tiny pieces of tofu (which gave the eggs a weird texture). I really do not think the kitchen actually cooks anything. Rooms are tiny & the bathroom is pretty much open with the shower & toilet area having a pocket door, which I hate. No dresser but they do have shelves. Very small area to hang your clothing. For a traveler this is great. For someone trying to "live" there, not so much. The swimming pool is laughably tiny (someone asked me if it was the hot-tub) but the gym is nicely appointed. Security here is pretty good with a visible security guard walking around. This review got bumped up one star due to they are animal friendly.

This place is a dump. We should have known better in getting such a cheap room rate. The hall carpets are soiled and filthy dirty, the rooms a micro size with only five hangers and absent a dresser, which leaves nowhere but to place your belongings except to leave them in your suit cases. The walls are paper thin, with a vent between rooms that you can hear your neighbors conversations through. We had extremely loud neighbors after midnight that took three calls to the front desk to get any response at all about it.

Great little modern hotel, affordable and right by the galleria, walkable to many nearby shops and restaurants. Rooms were nice and clean. Bar downstairs. Indoor mini pool. Convenient market in the lobby with basic items and snacks. Beware dogs allowed, got woken up middle of night by a barking dog. Hotel parking is not cheap Let us check out late, no probs. Nice stay!

Good spot here with easy access to several freeways and areas around town. Free parking, which is awesome in their massive garage (it's set up to be gated but it's all open currently). The staff here were nice and check-in was easy. The rooms are set up in a different way with open bathrooms and it felt cozy enough. No armchair in my suite just a bed and desk. I got the room rate which included breakfast. The breakfast is an order-and-go sort of place. No buffet. I am glad the food was included with the room as the costs seem a bit more obfuscated that way. Otherwise, I'm not sure I would have been happy with the prices. Not crazy but $6-9 for a small bowl of chips, avocado, and eggs would leave me a bit bummed. I normally got a made to order omelet which was fine. The common area has a pool table, bar, and seats for working. Nothing really super conducive for eating breakfast save for a common table and a few 4 tops along one wall. This is clearly a go out and work come back and mix-and-mingle sort of vibe. Not really my scene but it's a unique approach.

Location...location...location!!! The room was clean, comfortable bed and nice size shower! Destiny of the Management team and the front desk staff were professional, pleasant and accommodating! I will definitely return.

Clean facilities; stayed here for a concert. About a 20 min drive to NRG stadium. Came to say that the staff (especially the front desk staff: Ty, Caleb, and the security guard) was outstanding. So accommodating and helpful!!! They were all very kind, patient, and had a great attitude. Will stay here again!

Very dirty & unsanitary, lack of house keeping!! We originally planned a 3 night stay. It was cut short. They only offer room services until the 3rd consecutive night. 1st night, Friday, we checked in & found a empty condom wrapper by the ironing board . Sunday morning we found a empty used douche behind the coffee machine in our room. We checked out immediately after that. Hotel did nothing about our complaint. Very disappointing given the area the hotel is located.

Hallways warm and humid (9 th floor). Carpet in hall dirty/stained. Overall small room for a king (?) but not bad. Oddly appointed but fairly functional. Trendy but maybe not for long. Sort of industrial and not terribly well done. Friendly front desk staff; attentive, polite, efficient. Learned the hard way that gold members have no benefit staying here. No upgrades offered ever. They did put me in a high floor. No breakfast which is usually complementary with Marriott and Hilton Gold. Good coffee though. I prefer modern so more apt to go Springhill Suites but in this case, should have booked at the JW across the street. Based on this Aloft, will be generally avoiding Aloft and giving other Marriott properties more credence.

I enjoyed my stay here for a weekend! There were a few minor hookups. But everything was easy from the check-in, to check-out. Pros: simple, quiet for the most part, close to everything, bar-happy hour!!, small items available for purchase downstairs. Cons: For some reason the keys I were given would not open the door. The light would flash green on the door, but it wouldn't click so I had to go back downstairs after check-in while carrying 2 bags to correct this issue. I had to do this twice before a set worked. It was really weird and I had never had to do that before. It sucked I had to do it again after coming in from a concert late night. After that it was pretty smooth sailing. Another small issue, the front desk made it point to tell me to make sure that I had my ID to retrieve a new key card, but he remembered me from earlier so for the time being it was ok. Well if I leave the room and can't get back in, hopefully I have my ID, after dealing with an issue more than once that is not my fault-just seemed like an unnecessary comment. Unfortunately it seemed like everyone was on the same floor for the stay. The second day, some dogs checked in and while their humans were out they jus couldn't take it. Luckily it wasn't unbearable, but if staying another day I would probably asked to be move due to the noise. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and the minimal contact I had with staff was polite. I did utilize the parking garage which was a plus-the $22/night was not. I would stay here again for a weekend trip.

Find someplace else. The bar has one, seriously, one food, chicken wings. They have zero ranch or blue cheese. The carpets are filthy. It's very dark and uninviting. The wallpaper in the bathroom has been patched 20 times. My room had a musty smell. After taxes, $254. I would be furious if I was paying out of pocket. I'm glad the company I work for was paying the bill. The people that run the hotel are very nice. The hotel is just worn out. You can do a lot better for the money.

FIRST. We checked in after a great celebration at Ruth's Chris next door. Got up to the room and WHOO someone else was already there. Clothes luggage toiletries all scattered about. Had to lug our stuff back to the lobby and then call out to someone to come back to the lobby desk. After about 10 minutes of discussion and quiet argument the clerks found another room. Now I walk with the aid of a cane. I was tired and grumpy and ready for a shower and bed. Well at least the second room was empty However the shower was dirty and they had soap and shampoo dispensers. So unsanitary in these times especially Needless to say we will not return A great disappoint as most times the Bonvoy hotels are so much nicer and better kept, but there is always the possibility I guess. Having stayed in Indianapolis just last month I know that the entire Bonvoy chain has not gone down Just hate that this location is not what I'd expected from the chain We will return to Ruth's Chris just stay somewhere else less convenient for the night

This hotel is affordable and has a hip style, decorated in vibrant colors. The amenities in the room include standard coffee maker, iron, ironing board, safe and mini fridge. The shower needs to be updated stayed in room 713. Two nice sized fluffy queen beds.

I booked a double with two queen beds and when I get there I was told they had no more doubles. So, l settled for a king and an "air mattress." In what world is a single inflatable pool bed considered to be an air mattress? Additionally, the rooms need a lot of work. I've stayed in alofts before and part of the reason I enjoy the aloft is the WXYZ BAR, however, the waitress at the bar had a horrible attitude and a birthday party dominated the the whole bar which was inconvenient and I was not able to order a drink.

Currently staying at the Aloft Galleria. This was a gift for my birthday to get sleep since i have a baby at home. The bar across the street The West End, is so loud. At first i thought it was coming from the downstairs, so i called the front office. My friend who was staying with me, went home because jt was so loud she couldn't sleep. I Assumed it would quiet down but it is 12:45 am and it is still super loud . If i didn't live two hours away, i would leave now. Worst experience and worst birthday getaway.
