Aloft San Juan

From the moment we called to confirm our reservation with Gabriel Ramirez to the moment we checked out, this was hands down the best hotel experience I have ever had. On check-in day, Arturo welcomed us with genuine warmth and patience while I absolutely butchered the Spanish language. He couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating, and he set the tone for what turned out to be an incredible stay. Even on checkout morning, the excellent service continued. Reniet at the bar during breakfast was extremely friendly and attentive. He even apologized for a table that hadn’t been cleared yet—something I probably wouldn’t have even noticed—but that level of attentiveness really stood out. It was also incredibly thoughtful for the team to leave a small birthday gift waiting in my room. That personal touch meant a lot and made the stay feel even more special. The room itself was the cleanest and most modern hotel room I’ve stayed in. The bathroom was fantastic, and the water pressure was unbelievable—honestly reminiscent of Kramer’s famous “elephant shower head” from Seinfeld! The location is perfect as well. Being in the T-Mobile District means there are tons of great dining options nearby, and it’s within easy walking distance to the Metro Casino and other attractions. Everything about this stay was fantastic. The staff, the room, the location, the attention to detail—every bit of it. On our next trip to Puerto Rico, we won’t even consider staying anywhere else.

Amazing stay. The Hotel is well maintained and beautiful. Rooms were clean and neat. The pool is on the small side but it very nice on the roof top and the sunset was just perfect. We walked next door to Distrito T- Mobile had a nice dinner. We had no noise issues and our room overlooked Distrito T- Mobile. The Staff were all amazing. Shout out to Kenneth and Julie who checked me in and checked me out, so sweet and informative. Will definitely sty here again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The hotel was beautiful, very clean, and always smelled amazing. The front desk staff was consistently available and attentive, which made the stay feel welcoming and easy. Valet parking was smooth and convenient. The bar was a highlight—especially in the mornings, with amazing sandwiches, fresh pastries, great coffee, and juices that never disappointed. The room was always spotless and had a lovely view of the T-Mobile District. The location is perfect—close to everything, with plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby. I was very pleased with my stay and would absolutely return.

This is a great hotel. Clean and sleek. Front desk staff are great. The bar staff are amazing, they really made us feel at home. I would give both of those 5 stars. The only thing keeping this review 4 stars was the breakfast. Coffee often ran out and slow to refill and ordering breakfast and it's delivery was very slow. Quality was good once received, but you have to make extra time every morning to wait on it. Had a great stay otherwise and WILL return.

The location itself was not bad, but for paying this much for a hotel of this caliber, having to pay for parking that is not dedicated to the hotel itself was a little bit of a nuisance. The staff at the front were friendly. They helped us get check in to our room on the seventh floor, and they had a great attitude and service skills. The room itself was fairly clean. The only reason I took one point off out of five is due to the fact that there was some bunched up hair behind the towel in the shower. Other than that, the room was nice and quite comfortable. Our stay overnight was uneventful, with no noise or interruptions. Everything was conveniently located on our floor and we were situated far from the elevator as requested. My biggest complaints are the staff at the bar/breakfast lounge and the amenities provided.There were a little to no amenities. All we were given was an $18 voucher for food or drinks and a $9 voucher for drinks only, both redeemable at the bar/breakfast lounge. This was a little bit annoying as there was not even a continental breakfast as found at cheaper hotels than this one. In addition, the food voucher barely covered the price of any of the selections, and the drink voucher was only usable for one drink, even if we tried to get two drinks within the $9 value. If we did try to get two drinks of $4.50, they would say that the voucher was only good for one drink up to $9 (which is not specified on the details of the voucher). To make things worse. The vouchers were treated more as coupons, so we still had to pay taxes on the price of the whole meal and drinks for the two vouchers that already did not provide enough for a small breakfast for two.Overall, the amenities provided were the bare minimum for a hotel of this price:GymPoolBasic room serviceBlow dryerClothes steamerLimited cable TVIce machineWi-FiGuest laundry BarThe penny-pinching of this hotel was next level. From the lackluster vouchers to the nonexistent complementary breakfast, I was shocked at how little they provided at such a high price. If I had known this was going to be the case, I would have rather paid the extra money to stay at the Sheraton hotel right across the street. Overall, our stay overnight was still pleasant and comfortable. But we were unimpressed with the services and amenities provided for the price we paid. I would only recommend this place if you were looking for a “fancy/high class” place to stay overnight and are not interested in paying extra for other amenities. Even still, if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay that is comfortable, I’m sure you could find something significantly cheaper than this that still manages to provide the same amenities, if not more.

Great stay at Aloft SJ this past weekend. The hotel location is excellent, and everything is close by. The front desk team explained everything clearly, the amenities were great, and we really enjoyed the food at the bar. I want to give a special shoutout to Suly at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Nice hotel with helpful staff. Parking is across the street shared with the convention center and with visitors to Distrito T Mobile. So on days that the convention center is busy and the Distrito is busy parking will be kind of far from the main entrance to the hotel. Parking ticket must be validated daily by front desk staff to exit parking without paying. Hotel charges $18/day for self parking. Their WiFi is slow at 6 mbps download and upload speeds.

I had a great experience at the front desk thanks to Ricardo. He was professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful in making sure I was comfortable during my stay. His willingness to assist and find a solution really made a difference and showed excellent customer service. I truly appreciated his support and would definitely highlight his service as a positive part of my experience at Aloft Distrito.

The location is perfect - right in the heart of Distrito T-Mobile! The hotel is beautiful and the staff are courteous and welcoming! They give you one welcome drink each and a $35 credit towards food at the restaurant. Our room was clean and the mattress was comfortable. We had a great time during our stay. We felt safe as we walked around the area after dinner and played at the nearby casino.

I enjoyed my stay. Here are a few things to note. Immediately behind the hotel is Distro T-Mobile. If you are looking for a hotel that is quiet after a certain time, this isn't the place for you. I was able to watch live music for 4 out of the 6 nights of my stay. Other than the live music, it was very quiet. The rooms are very clean. I had no issue with that. The pool was smaller than I thought it would be but it was nice. There is a zip line near the pool for an attraction in Distro T-Mobile, but nothing crazy. Also, they do give you a meal credit every night. I didn't find the food to be anything spectacular, but if you don't use the credit, you still get charged, so don't be surprised when you go to check out.

Love this location for cruising or touring nearby condado and old town. Comfy beds, great lobby, tons of entertainment and restaurants really close. Lovely roof top pool. Cool lobby. Great coffee.

Loud music blasts through the night and into the room, they are NOT sound proof at the slightest. Don't stay here if you plan on getting any sleep. They skipped designing the logistics of this place.

The decor of the rooms is ghastly and there is little regard for the guest's sleep - every day at 6:30 am they would use power tools to perform work in one of the adjacent rooms thus depriving me of my rest. In the States work is not performed until 8am; I won't be coming back to this hotel.

If your room faces the convention center, do not expect to get any sleep. All the rooms that are odd numbers, face the convention and loud music. There was loud music that was blasting until about 10:30 pm. The hotel did accommodate us and moved to another room on the other side that was much quieter and facing the fountain. I would not recommend this hotel for the noise, unless you are facing away from the club and lights.

This was a somewhat of a unexpected stay as my "main" hotel I stayed at for my 4 day vacay, didn't have room on my last day. I used to work at an Aloft property so I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the worst hotel experience I've ever had (at least on the customer service aspect.) I had been getting alerts all day that I could check in using my phone. I arrived an by passed the front desk (which I was glad because it was late an I just wanted to go to bed.) The keyless check in didn't work an when I called the front desk from my floor, they didn't answer. I had to go all the way back down where she gave my a key an wifi code. I went into my room an everything was nice except it WAS FREEZING!! I needed to iron my outfit for the next morning an to my surprise it was a steamer that they had. I plugged it in an it didn't work as I had never used it before so I asked the front desk to bring me an iron or show me how to use the steamer. They never came! I had to call the front desk an ask AGAIN, meanwhile freezing my ass off in the room. I did end up getting an iron (but no ironing board??) Also, the outlet next to my bed was broke. I went to redeem my welcome drink for a juice instead of an alcohol drink. I wanted to mk sure that was okay with the front desk. I literally stood right in front of the heavy set women at the front desk an she never said anything to me! Just picked up the phone an started talking. Really!?! The ambience an style is modern an cool but they can keep that sorry customer service!! I will NOT BE BACK!

This hotel was amazing. I wasn't expecting too much since it's a 3 star hotel but it exceeded my expectations. I was upgraded to a suite since were Marriot Bonvoy members and it was incredible. Spacious, clean and had an amazing view! Everyone was super nice and helpful and they even stored my luggage while I waited for my flight! Located conveniently in Districto TMobile so you're by a casino, numerous restaurants and have concerts every night. Awesome location. Loved my stay here!

We had a great stay here. The staff warned us about the location of our room and I was able to request a room on the side away from the T-Mobile distrito so we had peaceful sleep. There is a courtesy shuttle that takes you to old San Juan and comes every 20 minutes. Very convenient. The restaurants located behind this hotel are just delicious!!! On Sunday they had a Zumba workout which was so fun to watch. If you like to Zumba bring your work out clothes. During the evening the DJ and or live band was just so much fun. I highly recommend the stay here.

Cool and modern. I had a love/hate of this place bc of the noise. Fun if you don't wanna sleep. It's definitely a party hotel. Very Las Vegas vibes. Room was spacious and clean. Cold too but we were able to adjust the temperature. Bathroom was clean no issues there but the noise level of the music. Omg the BASS was driving my bf and I crazy! Especially after taking what felt like the red eye from NY due to San Juan overdramatized COVID protocols to exit the airport. Just Lower the music please! The pool area was nice and the view ehh. Plenty of beach chairs, tables and there is a bar up there too. I noticed the hotel is mostly empty bc of the recreation area it attracts guests and locals too. It has a few restaurants, rock climbing, movie, bar, and grass area where the host live free performances and DJs. No COVID regulations enforced wear the mask or not. Social distance if you want. But there's a lot of security present I was impressed and felt very safe. Super lit hotel but tone down the bass. Por favor.

The cleanliness of this hotel is its only saving grace. I have never been so disappointed in a hotel experience before. This hotel is situated in a never ending party that is so loud that you can't even get a wink of sleep. It is is in the modern T-Mobile district and there are parties, music and live performances 24/7! It is not near any beaches and if you're looking for an authentic Puerto Rican experience you won't find it here! It is all mainstream American restaurants aka Olive Garden! We could not sleep AT ALL and the hotel never informed us of this type of noise! Also just to add salt to my misery there is no onsite parking! You have to park across the street! And one night there was a performance and they refused to let us park in the parking lot and we had to walk half a mile to the hotel in the middle of the night! I would never stay here again and the hotel ruined my whole experience! Find somewhere else to stay if you want any sleep and relaxation!

Stayed here in June 2021 for 1 day since all the other hotels we stayed at were booked out. The check in process was smooth. We walked into the room and that was nice and modern. But then starts the problem. I think there is a convention center right there or maybe a pool on roof top where folks were playing loud music late into the night and once again started playing music from 6-6:30 AM the next morning. We literally could not sleep. I regret staying here cos we were exhausted after a day here.

It's bad. Definitely top 3 of the worst places I have ever stayed. It's not just one bad thing that ruined the experience, but rather everything is just all around bad. The management is poor, the front desk staff is rude, and the entire place has slow service. I waited 25 minutes to order a drink at the bar. The bartender came out from the back room twice, and never came over so I could order, so I gave up. This place is loud. It's a nonstop party and it's next to a large outdoor stage and an indoor stage (it's kind of like universal city walk if you've ever been). There are always people in the lobby being loud. The rooms are standard rooms. Nothing fancy. The bathroom shower pressure was low in both rooms that I stayed in, so that's bad. If your room faces the party/shopping area, then expect that noise on Friday-Sunday. You should avoid this place.

Last minute 1 night stay - and this is why the best things in life happen spontaneously! Needed a room for a one night stay and the Aloft was both affordable and convenient. Nothing disappointed from the entrance with a thermometer & hand sanitizer to the effective & efficient woman in front desk. She greeted me with smiling eyes (duh masks) and perfect English - I spoke back in Spanish because you know I need the practice. She explained everything wonderfully and with all the patience she had considering I'm seriously going deaf. I asked for a late checkout since my flight is late in the evening and just like that granted even later than I expected and complimentary. Fresh brewed coffee available 24/7 Puerto Rican at that and right there I needed nothing else for a 5 star review. Then she said bar is open until 11pm! Nirvana The room was as shown in the picture like exactly the same which we all know is rare. The bathroom has great water pressure and space. It has an awesome workspace and sitting areas. The pool requires a reservation on the weekends and breakfast was included in my stay. There isn't valet parking available (guessing because of covid) and if a review isn't interesting to you u less there's a complaint I'll share that the self parking is a little away from the actual entrance to the hotel and you could get lost since it's signage everywhere is for T-Mobile not sure what that's about. All in all wonderfully hotel & stay.

We found the hotel to be spacious and clean. The hotel was newly built and the staff were very friendly. It was very convenient to Uber to old San Juan. Its next to the convention center and the T-mobile district - which has a nice ambience to walk around before retiring to bed. We had an issue with our room key not working and the shower to not drain properly, but both times the staff addressed it quickly. We were celebrating a graduation, and they put together decorations, a handwritten note, along with a celebratory glass of champagne. I didn't find there to be any noise problems like some of the other reviews mentioned. The only downside in our experience was that the shower pressure was super low - if that is something that is important to you.

Stayed at this hotel for a total of 4 nights, the purpose of the visit was to attend my father-in-law's funeral. Apart from the cleanliness of the hotel's common areas, it is shameful to say there's not one other positive thing to say. We were at the hotel minimum time. Our room was only cleaned once, our coffee kit was never restocked, we came back to the room every night to a room that had not only not been cleaned, but to no fresh towels or to just 1 towel (we booked a 2 queen bed room for a total of 4 people). We made multiple calls to the front desk through out our stay, not a single call was answered. After having to dry with hand towels the first night my husband went down to the front desk to bring it to their attention; no apology or explanation. The thermostat woke us up several times throughout the night as the room temperature went from the extreme of up to 80 degrees and then down to 68 and then up to 80. We spent the night between sweats and chills. We were woken up at 7:45AM by the sound of music being blasted from the businesses behind (our stay was from Saturday-Tuesday). I am not usually one to complain about music while on a stay away from my home environment but there is no way to sleep through the sound disturbances and i emphasize this on this review. Besides the music, you can hear guest through out the night opening and forcefully closing doors and running through the hall way. Overall, super disappointing experience, and nothing I had ever experienced at any of the Aloft Hotels I have stayed with.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, great design overall. My partner & I stood here this past March. However, the reason why I am giving them 3 stars because I am still waiting on the "$ Hold". Every time I call the hotel to explain my situation, they transfer me to "accounting" and no one is never there to answer. Aloft owes me $100 as I had to purchase another night due to my flight being delayed.
