I stayed at this hotel from 4/18-4/20 and I couldn't have been more impressed. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was spotless, spacious, and nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed.

A once great hotel that needs love. This hotel has all the amenities like great pool, jacuzzi, bar, restaurant, large guest rooms and a great location. However, it’s worn out and needs TLC. A renovation is badly needed. See pics for details

Dog friendly , easy parking. The robot delivery is very cool (sundry items extra blankets etc. Very safe quiet area

Positive: The room was big and clean Negative: Yes, online when I booked it said the continental breakfast was included. The hotel, however, charged me $24 for it. What's worse is it wasn't even good. The eggs were some of the worst I've ever had.

Every time I go to the Bay area, I always stay here. It's located in a nice area with a great view of the Cayote Hills. It's not far from the Dumbarton bridge and convenient to I-880. The staff were friendly and accommodating including Botler , the hotel robot who brought us some things that we needed like towels and snacks. The room was spacious, have a large TV, microwave and fridge. It's super clean - beds and beddings were super comfortable and have high quality toiletries. Other amenities that they offer are a nice pool and jacuzzi and a laundry room for the guests. The lobby had comfortable seating with a big fireplace, TV and a bar/restaurant. Overall, I had a wonderful experience on my last stay. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Love this hotel. The amenities are outstanding. Hotel restaurant is good. Staff are friendly. Streaming service in the room is a plus definitely!

Google
The hotel itself is pretty good. Rooms are on a good level, spacious and are very quiet. There is nothing special in the room - but it is comfortable, bed with a good mattress, clean - what else is needed? The only concern was a problem with outlets next to a bed - one of them was not working at all, second was behind the nightstand and difficult to access. Windows could be slightly opened to get a fresh air and this is very good, compared with some other hotels. Room service is on demand and while some might find this bad, but I actually like it. The gym is a bit small but still is OK. Main issue is that it is named as "Re-charge" and lacks of directions to it. Pool seems to be fine but I was at a cold season so I had to chance to use it. Breakfast is in restaurant style, where you order - but is very tasty. A bad thing was that I wasn't able to use two vouchers for breakfast on a day of my leave - they are already pre-paid, why can't I use them? Parking has problems with too small spaces, probably based on B-class cars - as result, people skip the space. to be able exit the vehicle. I'd recommend to change the marking so there would be enough space to part full-size car or SUV and be able to exit from it. I general hotel is good enough but has a room for improvements.

Google
Bar was rude, paid to my room and yelled me out. Went to the front desk to ask for management and showed me a wall of cards. I started here when it was newer the lobby was full, and it was a good experience. 7 years ago. Now the blinds are ripped, the bartender tells you the taps weren’t dry a year ago like I wasn’t here and tells you that your tequila preference is wrong…

Yelp
A True Home Away from Home at Aloft Silicon Valley (Newark, CA) I've been staying at Aloft Silicon Valley for approximately two months due to unexpected home repairs, and I can't say enough about the incredible staff. From Jilly (manager) to Esmy, Jordan, Ghufran, and Maria (who works weekends), every team member has been nothing but hospitable and caring during what has been a difficult time for me. Housekeeping has also gone above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and stress-free. Their attention to detail and kindness have truly made a difference. Even the little touches--like Botlr, the onsite robot butler--add a fun and futuristic charm to the experience. The onsite restaurant and bar, which also provides excellent room service, has been a convenient and delicious perk. During this time, I had the opportunity to stay at a few other nearby hotels. Without a shadow of a doubt, Aloft stands head and shoulders above the rest. It offers a quiet, comfortable environment--perfect for working remotely--and caters exceptionally well to corporate travelers. While I won't name the other hotels in the area, I can confidently say that Aloft Silicon Valley will be my go-to choice in the future, whether for personal or business stays. Thank you to the entire team for making this feel like a second home!

Yelp
Rude and unprofessional guest service at pm check-in on 5/20/25. Employee was not wearing a name tag, wearing faded jeans and zero customer service skills. I felt like I was bothering her with check-in. I could've overlooked these things but not even a welcome, quick explanation of where my room was located and amenities. Our room was a little run down ripped curtains, smelly refrigerator, bathroom sink issue, bed was not made properly when we arrived and attached to the wall shampoo bottle fell on my foot when I pushed down on pump (it was missing an attachment piece). I'm a marriott bonvoy member and have always been exceptionally happy with four star marriott locations. Too bad that this aloft location missed the mark. I would not stay at this location again.

Yelp
Meh. I paid through Priceline and even with the discount the room was just OK. They have a small menu. I ended up only staying for a few hours and booking something else. I wouldn't pay over $100 for this room. Also, they charged me for overnight parking even though I only stayed for a few hours. I spoke to customer service who talked to a manager. They said 'we will see what we can do' of course nothing was done. That $11 put me over $100. Not worth it. Was happy to stay elsewhere.

Yelp
+: Great rates, amenities (pool, Wi-Fi, EV charging), the Boltr delivery robot -: I wanted to say service is just "meh", but ChatGPT suggests it's actually poor and unprofessional and dismissive at times according to the 3 events I've experienced: 0001. When I asked for pool towels, the front desk insisted the pool closed at 9pm and refused, even though the posted sign clearly said 11pm. Only after I showed a photo did they acknowledge it. 0002. While sitting in the lobby area, I was told "sir, we're closed, you cannot sit here," even though another person remained. When I asked, it turned out that person was staff. The tone felt unnecessarily dismissive; I was even told, "sir, I hope I don't have to tell you again." 0003. My wife requested housekeeping via room phone at noon, but was told it was impossible unless requested before 10am. No room change was offered at first, then after the both of is showed up at the front the desk the staff changed tone and agreed to change room but still insisted that requests be made before 10AM. Staff claimed the manager was in training all day and could not be reached. I couldn't help but wonder if the inconsistent treatment -- like being told I couldn't sit in the lobby while others could, and the mixed messages about changing rooms -- was related to how I looked. Together, these moments created a strange vibe, as if some invisible hierarchy was at play.

Yelp
The "Botlr" robotservice never showed up and the snacks had different ingredients than shown on the manufacturers website. Had to call the front desk to get my snack delivered 1 hour late - how convenient (not). Bathroom was smelly and the bed was old. The hallway is quite noisy and the rooms have thin walls. How could you call this a 4 star hotel - no way. This place really needs to improve. 2/5. Phone didn't even work - you have to call at max volume on the speaker phone to reach the front desk. The hotel also does not have secure wifi- good luck doing business here as most business connections must be secure to use for work. All rooms are dirty I transferred to. Recommendations 1.) replace all your beds 2.) clean the bathroom and the vents 3.) insulate your doors so they don't slam and also so they have decent noise rating to keep hallway noise out 4.) don't offer the snack delivery robot - if the human who initiates the order never does it - it won't work 5.) put a separator in your room instead of using a tv as a separator. 6.) paint the walls properly- you can see someone didn't even paint it with tape to make it straight 7.) remove the mini fridge which makes noise when on medium or high 8.) don't put sheers for the window and a pull down. Add a black out curtain to seal the corners for light 9.) add secure wifi 10.) clean your rooms Staying here makes you feel Like the people that run the hotel have never ever stayed in thier own hotel

Yelp
Good accommodations. Room size is big. Doggy friendly. Washers and Dryers. I recommend bringing your own pillows. Large Swivel Flat Screen TV.

Yelp
This is a great hotel located in Newark near the Dumbarton Bridge. There's plenty of parking and offer Tesla chargers as well. The front desk staff was very kind at check in and when we forgot our key in the room and had to get a replacement. We got lucky and got a corner room which had so much room with a small kitchenette with small refrigerator. There was a table and a tv that swiveled where you could watch from the couch or from the bed. The bathroom had a bathtub and a separate shower which was a bit small. The shower had Dry Bar shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. I wish they provided more towels already in the room, but we were able to ask for more. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again in the future.

Yelp
So very very disappointed in this place. Me and wife stayed here last night (may14) since I was having a medical procedure very early and didn't want to drive all the way up here so early. Plus it was Mother's Day. We had stayed in aloft many years ago and really enjoyed it. We arrived early and helped by a very friendly lady. We got checked in and up to room. Upon entering room it appeared nice at a glance. We put the bags down and went out to eat. When we returned and spent time in room is where it got ugly. I should start by saying I did have to jiggle toilet since water was running when we did walk in. I pushed the lever up and it stopped so didn't think much of it. Wife opened curtains to find dead bugs in both window seals. That let in more light so was able to see gunk and garbage on floors. Wife then decided to close curtains and blackout shade and shade wouldn't work. I went over and had to literally pull it since it appeared they tapped the edges and the adhesive stuck it to itself. Wife the noticed some stain or something on top sheet so we stripped off. I was to nervous to check further since I needed to get sleep. Didn't have time to deal with changing rooms or hotels so just dealt with it. Trust me this was a bad motel 6 experience. Not just a motel 6 a bad one. So disappointed in this stay. Will not go back.

Yelp
REALLY 3.5 STARS This is my go to hotel when coming to the area. I really appreciate the amenities: kitchenette, living room, hot tub, bar. I've come again and again, I even had my sweet 16 here. I love that the rooms feel like an apartment. There's room to walk around, I can reheat and store my food, and can grab a drink or get dinner downstairs. I love that its secluded, but close to where you need to go. Its quiet so great for business trips, or catching up with people in town. If you're picky with your hotels, not it sure if this is the one for you but I enjoy coming here!

Yelp
I used my Bonvoy points to stay here and it was supposed to be "free". Not only did they take my points, but they also charged me the room fee. The blinds in the room were stuck. They did not go down or up. It seemed like they were off the track. We ended up waking up very early due to all the light coming in. I liked that there was a mini fridge in the room. The room was clean. The little bar downstairs had great martinis. Plenty of parking.

Yelp
This is primarily a review of Janie, the bartender. She's fantastic -- not only does she pour a mean cocktail, but she is funny, well-informed and a fantastic conversationalist. When Janie is behind the bar and you're the customer, it's never just "one and done"

Yelp
Bro, where is Wendy?!?! Even though the hotel kind of had some updates since I last was here... The customer service front the check-in gals was not the business. This one girl was trying to charge me $33/per hour for a late check-in as a Gold Elite. Girl, Bye!

Yelp
My first time staying at an Aloft type hotel. Everything worked out perfectly. Very new feeling on the outside. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Dark bar and lobby area since lights were not all turned on. Saw the room service robot in the lobby. Great location and very quiet at night. It gets dark in the parking lot, but it still felt safe and convenient. Easy self parking options. There are advantages being a Marriott Elite member with a Chase Bonvoy credit card. Received free drinks and snacks upon arrival as perks. Location is not far from freeway access and the bigger local streets. You can find restaurants, grocery stores, cafes, and bakeries within 5-10 minutes driving distance from the hotel. Corner suite room on upper floor is not bad at all. Comes with a small kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, and extra towels. Huge livingroom area with a cable TV, coffee table, chair, and couch. Light switches and sir conditioner worked fine. Loved all the huge windows and blinds. Felt like a home away from home. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Only thing to note is the shower area may be old since water goes down slower than usual during showers. Bathroom is very spacious and had lots of storage drawer space. Hygiene items were good. Oh, the soap smelled very good too. Hair conditioner and shampoo was high quality and didn't over-dry my hair. Huge windows made a difference in the look and feel of the stay. Lots of natural room lights! We will be staying again someday.

Yelp
Very disappointing! The service here is subpar and so are the beds. The mattress sinks into the middle. We've stayed at cheaper hotels with better mattresses. But what was more annoying is some employees black Mercedes car parked in the covered area where you would pull up to check in. This only allows one car to pull up in the covered area at a time. We checked in at around 3:00. It was pouring rain. We needed to get our bags out of the car and our child. There was a blue car parked in the covered space and one that had pulled up in front of us. So we had to unload the car in the rain. Then we came back to go to bed for the night at 8:30pm. Same black Mercedes car blocking a lane. So a car in front of us pulls up parks while they check in. Leaving is to have to have our child get soaking wet in the rain and unload our car yet again in the rain. When I asked the person working at the front desk who's car has been parked there all day. They said. It was a managers. And that it's been there for 3 months. Really!?!?? This is not ok. Especially when it's raining out. Come on! To top it off the mattress is aweful and the outlets by the beds don't work.

Yelp
Wow, this place has really gone downhill over the years. We first stayed here when it was under the W flag and it was cheap but a brand new property and the rooms were well appointed with a kitchenette and all the plates, cups, silverware, and other essentials. Ever since the pandemic, they've removed all these items from the rooms and with our recent stay, this still remains the case. The price is almost double compared to when it first opened ($70 vs $140). Additionally, the property itself doesn't appear to have been refreshed since it opened. It looks tired and worn, and the rooms were of questionable cleanliness. They have 3-4 EV chargers on property, but since adding a Tesla supercharger on property, the hotel EV chargers, which are free, are always in use because why pay Tesla when you can use the hotel chargers for free, even though they should be reserved for guests. The only reason to stay here is if you've got business across the Dumbarton bridge and don't want to pay Peninsula prices for a hotel, otherwise there are better hotel options that are around the same price, if not cheaper, and not too far away (Residence Inn in Newark, for example).

Yelp
We used this hotel for our wedding block at Ardenwood Farm, which is located just down the road. Our guests liked their rooms, which were spacious and comfortable. We also personally stayed here one night in a suite and it was quiet and comfy and clean. Jilly LiVigni is the coordinator for the hotel blocks; she helped us to set up the hotel block and was extremely responsive and friendly to all of our emails! She sent us detailed information about the hotel block deal, the contract, and the private dining offerings and always responded to my emails promptly and with lots of information. She even helped us correct typos that our guests had made while checking in. She was also cognizant and respectful of our budget when we were discussing private brunch options. Our only issue is that there is no standard continental breakfast at this hotel, but our guests had no problems with that as they were usually going out to breakfast together anyway.

Yelp
The girl who works at the front desk (Jay Amras) during night shifts has a bad attitude & needs to go thru training again or get fired if she hates her job that much. My friend & I checked in one night and she didn't greet us at all, asked us if we had a reservation, then gave us the total to a room she randomly selected without asking us which kind of room we preferred. She had a bad attitude from the start and didn't say Ty or anything and gave us 1 room key. The 1st floor had stains on it & the rooms are very outdated. Bad service and don't recommend this hotel at all! It was better when Joy or Jilly used to work here.

Yelp
The Aloft always meets my expectations as the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the environment is always kept in good condition. The hotel has a mini snack bar next to the front desk, and a bar and restaurant located near the lobby. The rooms itself have their own personal kitchenette, microwave, and mini fridge, which I love having readily available for short stays. In the morning, they also offer complimentary tea and coffee to get your day started. Another thing that I love about this hotel is that it's in close proximity to the freeway exit. One of the tolerable downsides to this hotel is that they just started charging for parking :( but overall it's still great place to stay.

Yelp
Arrived around 7:45 pm with a very tired kid. Nobody was at the front desk but there was a sign there that said they would be back soon. 8:05, still nobody. My husband calls the front desk hoping someone would hear the phone and come, but no, it just rings at the desk. Ten more minutes pass. At this point my kids getting antsy, and so am I! Another ten minutes pass and the elevator opens up and a group of young adults come out laughing and leaving the hotel. One guy in a tracksuit that looked to be part of that group sees us and comes behind the desk. No name tag, in a track suit with zero indication he worked there. He comes behind the computer and I tell him we've been there for close to 40 minutes. He stares at me and says 40? I said "sorry, more than 30, we are exhausted can we get a room?" He doesn't apologize, he could care less he was off doing something else and we had been waiting. We get up to the room and the black out curtains are off their track, the handle of the sink comes off in my hand, and the water doesn't turn off normally. We didn't dare ask for a new room because we have no idea if the guy would be at the front desk. Then at 2 am the tv turned on by itself. The only reason for 2 stars is the bed, it was pretty comfortable.

Tamara C.

Yelp
I stayed at the hotel for 1 night and accidentally left two beautiful necklaces. Called back hours later to have them mailed and they cannot find them and they say the room is out of order . This means they were stolen. I'm so disappointed I'll have to make a police report.

Yelp
SERVICE Swift checkin under 5m. $8 self-service uncovered parking. No tap/electronic payment options. Staff were consistently courteous & professional. Phone calls answered promptly. Automatic robot delivery for towels & things. Late checkout offered (1hr). FREE washer (1) & dryer (1) laundry service ROOM The room quality & hotel stock vary quite widely: different mattress firmness ranging from a "2" to "perfect"; some rooms don't have curtains; bathroom tiles buffed to hazardous levels or not at all; 40" Phillips TV or a 50" Samsung TV; etc Phones were a uniform failure. The handsets do not charge (despite what the LED indicator says), so you're forced to use the speaker to workaround it. The Do Not Disturb signs could use a redesign or more consideration. It's a frustrating designs that regularly slides down the handle and lands on the entryway floor. After crossing the threshold of a well-appointed room, its smooth sailing. Comfortably spacious for 2 with plenty of drawer + shelf space. The workspace was productive: a huge wood (lament?) desk & ergonomic desk chair, although the port/outlet availability is lower than the hotel norm. The window treatment is surprisingly strong: functional windows that open for fresh air & roller shades that do a excellent job at light control, insulation, aesthetic, & privacy. BED The Beautyrest mattresses aren't from the Black Collection or another notable tier & the soft/firmness level was ultimately a lottery so give it a lie-down test before settling in. Sheets were cozy, clean, and satisfactory while the Standard/Twin pillows on a king mattress were a comfort killer. The headboard design is pretty awesome though: a grandiose wooden adjustable panelling. BATH Over polished tile was very dangerous to walk on with every combination of shoes, socks & barefeet, so be careful! Walk-in shower is quite cramped (I'm 5'11" for reference) & the design of the door is a maintenance nightmare (it was falling off the hinge in the first room & it's clear why). Nevertheless it's a solid cleaning: the 4 spray-pattern shower head delivers great water pressure & heats fast. Drybar bath products (meh) are also provided. The tub is less impressive bc it's not deep enough for an adult bath but it's functional. Aloft/Marriott appears to have discontinued the robe amenity in the Bay Area and, to add insult to injury, towels are on the smaller side. HVAC wasn't noticeable in here & there's no manual exhaust switch either. The toilet paper holder fixture is very non-functional (like an airport or Starbucks bathroom), please change this... 2 solid design patterns I did appreciate: chromatic cross handles on the sink & blue accent lighting above the vanity. TV At least 2 Configuration that I'm aware of: * Phillips 40" * LG 55" Standard ~40 channel Basic programming + streaming integrations that include Netflix, YouTube, showtime , & prime Connectivity: Bluetooth, HDMI, Painful slow UI navigation The Phillips TV broke down during our stay, but they switched our room & gave us a breakfast voucher for the trouble. Wi-Fi Complimentary unencrypted wifi behind the usual Marriott portal. * Video Streaming: Average * Online Gaming: Poor * Video Chatting: Average Nerd Stats...: Download bandwidth: 12-19 Mbps Upload bandwidth: 7-25 Mbps Latency (idle): 17-29 ms Jitter: 1.65 - 3.74 ms Packet Loss: 1.2% FOOD Not DoorDash/UberEats friendly, but you can still earn bonus Marriott points... it's just a tad inconvenient. Room service is available with a menu that includes vegetarian options are but not much else readily available for other (e.g. wheat)/multiple dietary restrictions. mini coffee bar wet bar minibar Frigidaire microwave & (medium) mini fridge for storing plenty of drinks and microwave meals, but remember to bring your own silverware because none are provided (despite all that cabinet space). NOISE Sound dampening/isolation is very good -- no complaints! VERDICT Very functional for work. Attractive as a budget staycation. Very competitive pricing and much more bang for your buck compared to Aloft Santa Clara. Despite the flaws, I would stay again and recommend this location to fellow digital nomads. 4/5 Walkthrough: https://youtube.com/shorts/siFhaMqvzoU?feature=share

Yelp
1. The reservation I made was for a king bed...the king looks completely like a queen... 2. Their clean towels got a lot of male hair..which was clearly not come from head...when I pulled the towels out from the rack, it was snowing with black flakes. 3. Inside the bath tub, it's got the same type of hair mentioned in 2 and disgusting human dead skins...I was going to give my baby a shower using that tub but once I started cleaning that tub, I decided to put him directly to bed. I still feel disgusted while I'm writing this.. 4. My reservation had breakfast included. For some reasons, their system did not show that and i had to show my copy of reservation to the front desk lady..but that's not so important. The important thing is the breakfast voucher only allows to eat ONE sandwich per person and up to 2 persons per room...if you want to eat more, dude you need to pay. The sandwiches of course tasted terrible!! AVOID!!!!

Yelp
No one at the front desk when I arrived, waited for about 10 minutes, then decided to get my stuff out of the car, in hopes someone will be at the desk when I get back. Room was clean. Tried the robot thing they had for delivery of some snacks, pretty neat.

Yelp
This is just for my most recent stay... had to drop down as upon check in the room did not seem to have been serviced since the last guest was there. In the room there was men's underwear in the top drawer of the dresser. The Kleenex was empty. The soap in the shower was empty. The television didn't display the show information but rather had an update message saying it would update in 2 thousand hours or something like that. Ughhhh.... Long week.

Yelp
We first stayed at this Aloft in 2009 and it was really nice, modern, and suited our needs well. Over the interim years we have stayed here 5-6 times on various occasions and it has always been fine for our needs. Passing through and needing a place to stay a few nights we thought it would work well for our family. When we arrived check in was completely disorganized, no bell cart to be found, had to unload my families belongings trip by trip which kinda sucked, and when I asked about the cart the response was, "I have no idea where it is, we would have to look for it". Now to the real issue here which is the property. It is in TERRIBLE borderline disguising condition. I have been legitimately blown away by how gross it is starting with carpets that are stained, torn, and beyond cleaning very badly needing replacement. I hoped to find our room in better condition but alas also nasty. Exhibit A pictures of destroyed blinds, what looks like blood splatter on the lamp shade, and my kids foot after crawling on the floor a few minutes. Given the state of disrepair they would be better served to burn this place to the ground and start over again. I would avoid at all costs. This is no nice, and arguably dirtier, than the local motel options you can find. 1 star for location close to bridge to see family.

Yelp
This review is about my event experience at the Aloft. Jilly, the event manager, is the best. Her and I have worked together on two separate occasions. She's professional, responsive and does her best to accommodate to event needs and budget. Ha! John is also amazing. I believe he's the head chef. However, he did more than curate the food experience! He was hands on from set-up to execution to post-event. Jilly and John are genuine and professional. I couldn't ask for a better team to work with. Thank you, both! Looking forward to hosting another event at Aloft soon. -M

Yelp
Updating after a few months of communication. DISCLAIMER: I did NOT stay here. This review is for my interaction with their sales team. I had initially posted a review after a sour interaction with their sales team. Since then there's has been communication and they've apologized immensely for the breakdown in communication. We had initially discussed possibly having wedding guests of mine stay at this location and we had a plan in place. With the current pandemic the world is experiencing we've had to postpone our wedding and this hotel has been flexible and stayed in touch with me. I appreciate them reaching out and ensuring they would be there to help when we need them. I've had a good talk with their head of sales and she has been absolutely wonderful to speak with. I do feel bad for being so negative in my previous post and hope to right this wrong with them and possibly work with them later this year.

Yelp
So this is the A Loft Hotel in Fabulous Newark CA , literally a five minute drive to the Facebook campus , this hotel is Stellar! It used to be a W Hotel, I love the transformation now as an aloft it is bright and airy , the lobby is still wonderful and modern I wish they lit candles though, I miss candles the most , I always get a sweet suite and they treat customers so very well! This is a great place to see and be seen. You never know when a Silicon Valley CEO is here , they frequent this hotel often , this is an excellent place for networking!

Yelp
Be wary, the rooms have a motion sensor to turn off the ac/heat whenever the room is unoccupied. However, this thermostat motion sensor is not sensitive enough and therefore would turn off whenever you are sleeping. I stayed a total of five nights there and woke up freezing every night. I have tried to bring this up with the front desk, and they claim that the maintenance have fixed it however, it was never fixed.

Yelp
My wife and I loved this hotel. Cool vibe inside and the bartenders are very generous! The room was very spacious, and the bed too .Easy check in./ checkout. I'll never stop staying in Marriott hotels. Only thing is shower couldn't really fit 2!

Yelp
Well there's not much to say about this place other than it was what I expected from any Aloft hotel. Good service, clean, and they even have one of those remote robots to drop off things for you at your door! Kinda cool!

Yelp
Your friend BED BUG (: every time i been here i enjoy my stay except for the gross bites I always thought maybe it was an allergic reaction to the sheets ... 4th time i came to stay here and i finally caught the issue with the bites all over my body . BED BUGS !!!! most disgusting thing ever. I complained to front desk & they gave me another room which ALSO had bedbugs and then another room which of course had huge bed bugs throughout mattress and sheets. Nobody helped I felt so helpless and didn't want to stay another second in that hotel let alone stay a night. The help I received was "its an old hotel i don't know what else to tell you" by the front desk. At that point I didn't care if i lost my money, my health is more important and a good nights sleep without bugs and rude service & to the next people who stay there be careful its a HUGE health hazard that needs to be fixed. As nice as the atmosphere is I will not be staying here another night.

Yelp
We had a nice experience at the Aloft for my daughter's wedding. The wonderful service provided by Jilly, the events coordinator, and all the staff we encountered for our events was excellent. The bartenders and servers for our pre- and post-wedding gatherings and for the regular bar and dining area were great! They were personable, efficient, and wonderful people. The event spaces we used combined an indoor and outdoor area. This worked out well, and I especially liked the outdoor area that was by the pool but had semi-transparent barriers and a fountain. While here, I needed to get some running in and the area around the hotel was good for running and walking. There is even a park within walking distance. One disappointment, however, was our room. We had a suite and it was well-worn. The second bathroom's shower had a strip of caulking (maybe?) hanging from the ceiling. Furniture and moldings were worn and truly needed an update. My daughter's suite was much nicer and in better condition. I doubt that I would return to stay overnight, but it is a nice venue for meetings and events.

Yelp
There was definitely mold in the HVAC system. I had a reaction the first night we were there, manager was not available so they sent an engineer who was completely dismissive. I tried using over the counter meds to manage through it but because I had a five day work event, it got worse and turned into an infection that weekend. It's in a really convenient spot so I'm sad that I can't stay there in the future.

Yelp
Good Morning, Let me explain my rating. The over all hotel is lovely, the front desk staff is friendly. The hotel service is terrible. If I could give negative 5 I would. I stood by the front podium, on the floor says wait here for next available agent. The server walked by many times, didn't say hello, didn't ask may I help you, would you like a table. Absolutely nothing. I stood there for 8 min, I finally gave up and went to the front desk. The lady, said people go get coffee over there. I was like no I was no where near the coffee, I stood by the podium. (I have a child in my hand, how would I even hold the coffee)(maybe if I was a man in a business suit she would of gave me service) Save your money and time . DONT EAT HERE!!! Please don't encourage bad behavior. Have a wonderful day everyone!!!!

Yelp
Don't stay here. We stayed for one night and although the room was clean - there was a huge dent / hole in the middle of the bed and the walls are super thin you can hear everything happening next door, so much so we asked to switch rooms. The night staff accommodated us but weren't the friendliest. I will not stay here again.

Yelp
We spent 6 nights at the Aloft. First impressions are important and we have to say our first impression was made by Michelle. She is an assist to this hotel. She always had a greeting for us. Since it was my husband's birthday, she gave him a few coupons and a little gift bag. It was very thoughtful. Lovely young lady. The room was a large corner room as requested. Clean. We did have issues with the TV. Had to turn it on and then turn it off and back on again to get sound. EVERYTIME. Strange but once we got the hang of it, no biggie. The biggest drawback was we requested a king and paid for a king and got a queen. It was also concaved, so when in it you sink to the middle. It was the worse. Would we stay again, probably but we would check out the bed first.

Yelp
this place has great customer service. they have room service. they have a bar, they have a restaurant. They have a pool with a hottub that are open for use. they have a gym they have a laundromat. It's so close to the ocean but that makes it sometimes stink a little there's plenty and plenty of parking. A security guard on duty to give you peace of mind with your vehicle. nearby stores that are in walking distance. A computer for any office work you need to do along with a printer. Coffee pot in the room a safe in the room a microwave in the room a refrigerator in the room. They have fluffy white towels a tub AND a shower. A hair dryer along with a magnified mirror air conditioning and a heater they have streaming TV where you can either watch Netflix or Showtime or Amazon Prime or just regular TV if you remember you get a little treat bag when you check in

Yelp
We picked this hotel for the separate tub and shower amenity. Pros: DECENTLY priced, TVs have hulu and netflix apps, room service was delicious, beds comfortable, it seems like a pretty new hotel it was very clean! right off the freeway, in a very middle of nowhere place, free parking, hot tub open until 11p. Cons: our toilet was broken we had to call them to repair while we were at dinner and A/C locked at 68 degrees with no fans-- this is very warm for me I woke up throughout the whole night because of this despite the comfortable bed. So overall we enjoyed the hotel, we will probably stay here again and would recommend it to our friends for a closer spot to the city without the city prices.

Yelp
This review is for the food I ordered to my room; however, the room was great. I ordered the Cajun Pasta with added chicken with a side Cesar salad. The salad was good then I went to the pasta, which turned out to be flavored with burnt chicken which ruined the dish. It was disappointing to have my meal end up this way but lesson learned that hotel food doesn't always end up being very good.

Yelp
My favorite place to stay when in Cali. I love their Bar. They are need Coyote Hills, OMG!!! The best walking trail and hiking if you like. It's right off the highway, but you don't hear the highway AT ALL and all of you know exactly what I am talking about. Nothing like LA. Decent food. Vegan option or two. They do at least try in this regard. I appreciate that. Pleasant staff. Clean. Gotta go out and walk the street to smoke, anything. That's rude because there is plenty of space, behind the building for a designated smoking area. Safer. Huuum. I'm just saying. It's a nice place. I like the Ritz, but there isn't one in that area.

Yelp
This is honestly a 3.5 star rating but I rounded up. This is my second time staying here and what I've always liked about this hotel was that it comes with a pseudo kitchenette - there's a sink, fridge, microwave, and lots of shelves, all designed to resemble a kitchen. The only thing that's missing is a stove but for such an inexpensive price, it can't come with everything. Upon walking into the room, there's a work desk on the left and right behind it is the "living room." On the right is the pseudo kitchenette and behind that is the bed. Walking past the bed and there's a closet on one side and a somewhat vanity type of area. Then walk a little further and it's the bathroom - you've got a tub and a glass shower. And since it's Aloft, they carry Bliss products. The 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner leaves a nasty film and the body wash is too thick. But I do like their bars of soap. It's the only thing that won't cling on to your body like crazy. The beds are a little bit on the softer side but still very doable. If you're ever running out of anything, give the front desk a call and if they have it, the Botlr will deliver it to you. You'll receive a phone call saying it's outside waiting for you. It's super adorable! My complaint is that it isn't exactly the cleanest. Our microwave had this large stain in it and the shower caddy was heavily rusted. Sanitation is a definite must that I cannot compromise with. Luckily, I'm always prepared with a pack of Lysol wipes and sanitize all areas before anyone can relax. It's just me, you don't all have to do it! If you're planning on staying here in the area, I would highly recommend coming here because the fridges are deeper than most hotel fridges, which means you can buy more food. If you want to stay in, you just need to ensure your food is microwaveable and you're all set. You can either choose to eat at the desk or the "living room" while watching TV. The TV is adjustable to almost every angle. I would stay here again despite my complaint. Our previous stay was perfect so maybe it's just a one-off.

Yelp
I've started staying here when I visit work (Facebook) instead of staying on the same side of the bay. It's cheaper, nicer, and easier to get rooms here than anywhere else I can stay on the other side of the bay and arguably even closer by time than anywhere you might stay without crossing a bridge. The hotel itself is nice and has a weird, but kind-of-cool upscale, nature-themed decor with various nature objects, e.g., pine cones, on display as you walk down slightly-darkened hallways with wood and earth tones. The rooms I stay in are on the large side, which is nice when I sometimes spend a reasonable amount of time in my room after work. The only thing that really stood out a bit in terms of being odd was that they had wall-mounted soap and shampoo+conditioner dispensers in the shower instead of the small bottles/bars that you'd normally expect. It didn't really bother me, but it did stand out.
