Aloft Vaughan Mills

We held my mother’s 60th birthday party in April in the event room at the Aloft! It was amazing! The room was perfect! The event coordinator was so helpful and fast at replying! The bartender and staff in the day of were extremely accommodating with our last minute needs and were so friendly! I so much appreciate the staff and everyone commented on how great it was of a location for the party! Thank you to all the staff! We had an amazing time!!

We are loyal Marriott stayers and Aloft really lived up to the standards we come to expect at Marriott properties. I'm not sure what the bad reviews are about because in our experience, the hotel was spotless including our room. The staff were friendly and welcoming. ||The beds were extremely comfortable, the room was spacious and the bathrooms are really large. The decor is a modern aesthetic and the bathroom has a separate "water closet." The pool area was clean and had a comfortable water temperature.||The hotel is conveniently located in the Vaughan Mills parking lot, just steps away from the Legoland entrance which is perfect for families. If you need to hit up Ikea, it's 1 exit away on the 400 or you can get their easily from side streets.||There aren't a ton of restaurants nearby that we could see, aside from what's located in the mall. A quick jaunt on the highway and you are surrounded by tons of dining options.||We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for the wonderful stay.

Terrible experience. Due to an airline strike I had to change travel plans. I had a confirmed booking at Aloft Vaugn Mills but now would arrive two days late. I called in advance of arriving to confirm my booking had been amended to reflect new dates. Aloft customer service assured me my booking was good, no worries, we will expect you on the new date. I arrived to discover the reservation was cancelled and the hotel was fully booked. Not much sympathy on check in, so I am off to the Hilton.

I had a fantastic stay at Aloft Vaughan! The hotel has a modern, stylish vibe and is conveniently located near Vaughan Mills and other attractions. What really stood out was the exceptional service — the staff were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. From check-in to check-out, the experience was smooth and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great hospitality. The hotel’s managers should be proud of their team.

Clean and functional. Friendly staff. Decent bar. Grab and go breakfast. ||My only complaint was the shower - I found it either very hot or very cold with not much in between.||But the bed was comfortable and the amenities were exactly what I expected from the brand.

We used the business room to host an interactive event with other community members to learn more. The food was great, the service was amazing, highly recommend Aloft as a Venue option for a Business meeting. Very modern entrance with a welcoming lounge area as well.

The layout of the room was a little different but otherwise it was quite nice. Everything was in good working order (refrigerator, AC unit). It was a quiet stay. Very enjoyable.

While the room was clean and customer service was fantastic, it was hard to not notice a few things… Cons; • the pool was incredibly grimy and dirty, there were no towels, and the water was warmer than a bathtub. • there was a rip in the couch in the room, no freezer as part of the fridge. • the room was loud. We could hear all our neighbours as well as the late night car rev fest in the parking lot adjacent. • Had requested a pet package when booking. Arrived to it not being there. Requested it.., and the kind girl that delivered it was deathly afraid of dogs. She came into our room and ran. Also no treats as part of the package as is suggested online. • cleaners vacuumed the hallways at 9 am and woke us, after already having a poor sleep due to noise. • TV was having issues with the sound, it would be quiet and then extremely loud, without ever touching the remote. Pros; • very very close to shopping, wonderland, reptilia, and other attractions. You can even see wonderland from some windows and watch their lights! • friendly and quick check-in process. • friendly staff all around • clean and modern rooms. TVs connected to Netflix and other streaming services • gifted use cheesecake and a card for our guests birthday • stocked snack-n-go station at fair prices. $2.75 for chips. • microwave delivered to room at no extra fee • additional bottled water given when requested, at no extra fee.

Aloft isn't my favorite hotel brand (more trendy and less practical), but with enough time you get used to it. This Toronto-area location is relatively new with a nice fitness center and spacious lobby - one of the better Aloft's out there. Less hanger space is a common issue with Aloft. Shower and bathroom decor are nicely modern. Rooms are decently sized with a nice TV and just enough desk/counter space with fridge.

Totally awesome! Loved the place. Staff are super friendly and helpful and the location couldn't be better. Stayed for 3x Nights recently and didn't want to leave. Rooms are large and spacious and have a very open feeling to them with plenty of natural light. They have a massive 55" TV on the wall, directly in front of the bed so easy to see. The Kids loved it as well! They are also dog friendly! Totally cool!

Would give 1 star, but wanted to give an extra star as credit to the staff. Everyone I interacted with was very kind and worked to accommodate me. Additionally, the location was convenient - right across the street from Vaughan Mills mall and several locations to walk to and eat. The room that I stayed in was visually fine. I was right near the elevator window and realized that anyone near the elevator had clear vision into my room, so unfortunately I had to keep my blinds shut the entire trip. The room itself was very dirty. The sheets were scratchy and old and discolored. I wore sweats and a hoodie to bed to prevent them from touching my skin and hair. Additionally, my shower did not work. I needed to shower in the morning for work - could not. Had to improvise and was hustling out the door. Let the front desk know and they "fixed it". It worked that night, so I was able to shower. Only to wake up the next morning and it was broken again!! Had to call down again and they had me enter a different room, use that shower, and then go back to my room. It was fine, but I really just wish they had moved me into a different room and actually fixed the shower in the first place?? Overall, I am being picky I think. I am used to a nicer hotel room than this. If you don't care much about comfort and are more focused on convenience, this is the spot for you. If you are looking for cleanliness and accommodation, I would stay elsewhere.

First trip to Canada in a while and needed to stay in the area for work. Not a ton of hotel options but chose the aloft for price, convenience, and hopefully a hip factor. Located about 25 min from Toronto Airport next to a huge shopping mall, the hotel is easily accessible with plenty of free parking. Decent size lobby, with a nice snack and drink selection if you're in dire need of sustenance (though be prepared to pay hotel prices). Check-in process was quick and efficient, and front desk staff were very friendly. Rooms themselves were typical aloft fare. Not the largest of rooms, small closet /bathroom, but at least outlets were in the right places and TV was working well. Internet had no issue. Gym was decent size and got the job done. Small size pool but seemed ok, never went in. Overall a comfortable stay but nothing exciting.

Great location for a Staycation in Vaughan. Right across from Vaughan Mills and a few minutes away from Canada's Wonderland. Room is set up with similar layout and amenities like other Aloft brand. You can say it is hipster West Coast vibe. Everything is simple and basic so don't expect it to be a luxurious hotel. I do like the bar lounge area. Great place to grab a drink and they do have daily special. Not a bad option if you want to stay in the area.

Great hotel and awesome staff. I asked the front desk to tell housekeeping for cleaning and changing my room and when I got back it was done. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

We are big fans of Aloft hotels and this one was no exception! We got off to a bit of a rocky start, since our card was an American Visa debit card and we didn't have a credit card. We swiped it and got a message saying it was approved, and the money was deducted from my bank account, but the hotel didn't actually receive the payment. After at least 20 minutes of speaking to several different people the poor girl working the front desk was able to get us checked in by changing our method of payment to cash - something I just knew would create an issue when we checked out, but our checkout process was seamless. We arrived at close to 3am that night after a really long day of travel, and the bed in the room was EXTREMELY comfortable. Like I totally want to buy one! It was perfect. The rest of our stay was great, very similar to other experiences I have had with Aloft. The layout and decor is all about the same. Dogs stay free, and this hotel has a private parking lot with free parking. The location is really convenient with tons of shopping nearby too. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in town! Only, we will bring another method of payment next time lol.

After a long flight, arrived at 1am at this hotel to find the rudest person at check in. He insisted that the room wasn't paid for even when I showed him it was. He provided no help or solutions and didn't really care about anything. I am an elite Marriott Bonvoy member and usually get great service and perks. At 1am I had no place to go and buy water. Asked for some courtesy water bottles and the receptionist gave me one bottle for 4 people. Insisted in charging if I wanted more. So instead of staying for two nights, I will be checking out after the first night. Room is Ok but not great. No way I'll come back here and you shouldn't either.

In my Opinion this place was 5 Star. Everything was clean upscale, their continental breakfast was well put together. Their staff was friendly and the accommodation was great! Location was good also. Plan to return in the area and will stay again.

At first there was a little trouble with checking in. Some reason paid with a Visa card. Transaction was approved per their screen on PIN pad. Within 30 seconds money was out of my account showing it was paid. Then the desk working stated our payment was declined. After showing her the approval and money out of our account. She informs us American Visa Cards Canada has problems with them. Was the only problem we had with the Visa Card there. Other then that great room, staff was great and friendly. We were the for 3 nights but since we checked in late was only charged for two nights. Great location to things. We enjoy staying at Aloft Hotels as this is the 4th one in different cities within the US and first in Canada. Love them.

Had a wonderful stay! My boyfriend and I decided to get out of the house for Valentine's Day and decided to stay here. The check in and check out process was SUPER quick and easy. As soon as we walked into the room we fell in love with. It is very modern and chic but yet super comfy. It was very clean and everything we could have hoped for. The bar in the lobby was amazing and was open super late which was great. Our favourite parts were the free water bottles, 12:00 checkout time, EXTREMELY comfortable bed, and beautiful shower. We also loved how high tech everything was ie. -control the tv from your phone -mobile check in -mobile key card for the room The only thing I would absolutely love would be if they had a buffet breakfast (free or paid) although there are many places around for breakfast. The hotel next door has buffet breakfast for $17 but we decided to go to a place called Evviva about half a km away which was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced with huge portions. We will definitely be returning.

Went to a family wedding back in October. It was very affordable & close to the venue so very convenient! Also close to the mall shopping, restaurants, etc the place it self was clean, quiet, & quite comfortable. I enjoyed my stay. Staff was very nice & welcoming. Room was clean & bed was actually comfortable. I would definitely recommend a nice stay.

A friend and I were going to stay here on a birthday trip in the beginning of August. My friend realized when she got to my house that she forgot her credit card at home (which was used to book the room) so she called the hotel to see if the card was necessary or if once we go there we could just pay with debit. The girl on the phone told her it was absolutely necessary no exceptions. My friend asked how much it would be to cancel and the girl on the phone told her you cant cancel with us you need to call booking.com because you booked through them. My friend then said its fine I'll just go home and get my credit card. So we drive all the way up there and surprise surprise they cancelled our reservation because "you said you didn't have a valid credit card". They then told us that they had no rooms left and were fully booked and there was nothing they could do. The front desk "manager" did not apologize, did not try to right their wrong, She did nothing. We called and left a message for the general manager who first said it was because we had cancelled our reservation. When my friend told him that no we did not cancel our reservation he put her on hold and when he came back on the line told her it was cancelled because the "credit card was invalid". She then asked him if he was trying to insinuate that the credit card was declined because it worked perfectly fine when we went next door to another hotel after the terrible service we received here. He then told her he would have to talk to the manager on duty and call her back. That was 5 days ago.

Great Hotel, we had a fantastic stay here. The check in was smooth and the Staff were super friendly. I liked the free Coffee in the AM as well! Very Clean Good Location Great Big Shower Loved this place all around, great Service and a great hotel

An Aloft is an Aloft is an Aloft... and this one is no exception. Nestled up close to the outlet mall in Vaughan the hotel is standard of any other Aloft I've been to: - Sexy XWYZ Bar in the lobby? Check. - Free Wi-Fi? Check. - Snack bar set up for breakfast/lunch/snacks? Check. - Friendly check in/out people? Check. - Bliss products in room? Check. If you are looking for a spot in this suburban area the Aloft will definitely meet your needs, and at a reasonable rate, which is all I can ask for.

We like all the cookie cutter aloft hotels and concepts and this one is great as well. Very bright, young hip facilities and room. Everything has a new modern look and works well. Particularly the showers. No tubs, closets or microwave but you get refrigerator, great hd tv, cable and pool downstairs. Stay is very, very helpful, it is pet friendly, non smoking and just a great modern place to hang out. The only negative to this chain is they are all small rooms. But there are so well functionally designed that you really don't need more room. No parking cost and while not central to downtown, it is right next to a shopping center and mall.

Stayed here a couple times & my experiences have been great. The staff at the front desk are welcoming and provide quick service. Each time we have gone here it never fails to see many kids from sports teams crowding the lobby or just little children crying and running around. Our rooms were always clean but don't be expecting to get a nice view because you either face the mall or face the back. Convenient location because you are minutes away from entertainment, the highway, grocery store, etc.

The hipster place to stay in Vaughan I stayed at the Aloft in Colorado and Montreal and had friends that stayed here and the place is awesome cool, hip, trendy and bustling with energy! They take that open concept approach that is lacking in hotels these days and punch it up a notch and make the experience fun We enjoyed the specialty beers on tap and martinis at the XWYZ bar as if we were downtown Room rates are reasonable with Bliss products in the washroom (no generic junk for you) and a cool room to stay in The manager Samantha works her butt off to ensure her guests in for a night or a couple of weeks enjoy their stay and sleep well Starwood Hotels needs to spin up more of these hotels in Canada hahaha yes its a Lofty style concept......................

This place is ok for a single business traveler I guess. Whole joint is run by inexperienced kids who really couldn't care less about hospitality. I wouldn't return. Service is slow and staff is inept.

This is a great small hotel. It's pretty quite the staff was great a very friendly they were very helpful. If possible the top floors are the best floors with nice view. FYI bring your own toothpaste forgot mines and they don't have toothpaste.

My family and i travel a lot so we stay at many hotels. This was probably one of the worst. I have two small children under 5 and the noise was insane. For 3 nights all we heard were kids constantly running up and down the hallway yelling and slamming doors after 10pm. I tried to ask one of the adults to please keep it down in turn he told me "yea whatever". My one year old son could not get a good nights sleep for 3 nights in a row. I'm not the type of person to complain over little things but this was absolutely ridiculous. I've always heard good things about this hotel but we will never stay here again. If you're looking for any peace or quiet, you WILL NOT find it here.

BED BUGS!!! Modern decorated hotel in not so good area, the real shock is there's bed bugs in room 510 and 512, as normal, hotel management promised to inspect and report to me which never happened. What's funny is that originally I posted a detailed bed bug report on tripadvisor which was deleted by some "unknowns".

Had an absolutely horrific experience with the management of this hotel. 4 days before my expected stay I found out my mum has stage 4 lung cancer, and when I tried to get a hold of someone to cancel my reservation as I would no longer be attending the event I had booked the room for, I was told I needed to speak to a manager. I tried for the next 4 days to get a hold of someone to help me cancel my reservation to no avail. Once I finally got a hold of a manager I was told that I would not be issued a refund on the room as it was after the expected reservation date, due to their own incompetent staffing. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy, do not stay here.

Location is not so great, but the hotel is nice. Brand new, free parking and wifi, clean, decent-sized gym and pool. Modern decor and no overpowering air freshener scent that hotels often use to mask musty odors. Next time I come to Toronto, I'd find a place closer to the city. Otherwise, the hotel is not bad.

All is well until you run into a problem. Case in point. Hockey tournament kids running loose, literally. Tag in the halls til nearly midnight. 2 calls to the front desk. No action from the staff. Ask for my money back. You understand pal it was a hockey tournament not quite as relaxed but you know ...... We don't give refunds. How about a coupon for next time, sorry no next time. Worst hotel stay ever.

I stayed here this past June. It's best if you have a car, if not there is Public transport but make sure you get the hours and schedules right. The Hotel is definitely on the modern side. Space is well utilized. Iron & board tucked into side of bed. There is no tub, but a shower and you can see through the glass into the bedroom luckily just a silouhette. The soap and conditioners is nice, its in a dispenser. There's a small fridge. The bed was super comfy. The hotel is located right across from the Vaughan Mills Mall which is great fro all your shopping needs. There is no restaurant in the hotel and breakfast is $10 CAD per person. But there are plenty of restaurants and fast foods joints around as well as a supermarket. I sat in the space age bar area but did not order a drink. The swimming pool is tiny, I wonder how they make it look so big in their ads. Most staff were pleasant. I got a great rate through Priceline.com and didn't feel like anyone was holding that against me, until I was checking out and the girl at the counter made a snide comment. Anyway, I will definitely stay there again. Yes, it is a very very hipster place.
