Showers are only push button lasting 10 seconds a go. You can't have a shower really and with the heat of the rooms with no air conditioning or fans, you will need one. No elevator is to be expected with an old building but staying on the fourth floor is a bummer. €1 deposit for the key card €2 per towel to rent plus an additional €2 deposit on each towel. Otherwise the room was okay with a sink and beds and a table, nothing else.

BED BUSG!!!!! If I could give this place zero stars I would… I woke up in the middle of the night COVERED in bed bug bites. And there were bugs crawling on my bed! The hostel refused to refund me. It was the worst experience of my life. Never ever ever stay here. Also, the showers don’t work.

Dirty rooms and shared facilities. No selective sorting in the breakfast room for organic waste whereas this is a legal requirement in France since 2024 (among other waste requirements this hostel does not comply with). Makes you wonder how they treat other aspects such as staff members...

This hostel is LOUD on the inside...and I mean LOUD. You cannot close the door quietly: this means that all night long, you can hear people opening and closing the doors. The wood floors give the area an acoustic strength that would be amazing for a concert venue. unfortunately, it's a hotel....not a rock show.||Moreover, it's a haul going up and down the steps. Don't book the hotel if you have some kind of foot injury, because you'll regret it. ||The staff...most of them don't seem to care at all about the place. This might reflect the management? Who knows...the majority are apathetic at best.||Even if you're in an emergency situation, think twice...

I had not read google reviews and only checked the comments in booking.com. We didn't even have warm water, not only for the shower but anywhere in the hostel. I'm curious would they themselves pay 90 euros to stay in a place for two nights without warm water?!

We had a private room with two beds while sharing a communal bathroom. This hostel is so good for a great price! It was a metro ride away from the inner zones and was easily accessible by buses as well. I recommend staying here. I don't know how the shared rooms are, but make sure to bring earbuds. The communal bathrooms were clean enough, but bring shower shoes. The toilets were well stocked with toilet paper and soap. The breakfast was included with a croissant and Baguette with cereal. (I recommend saving the bread for lunch if you're on a budget) If you walk down the Rue Borromée, you can even view some of the Eiffel tower! It is a safe area surrounded by good restaurants, grocery stores, and some good laundry mats. Enjoy your time in Paris!!

Not only is the hostel old and does not meet modern standards, but the photos on the booking website may not correspond to reality and mislead guests. The lack of a computer room, a photo of which is posted on the booking website, is one example of the negligence of the staff. In addition, be prepared for your requests to be ignored by the staff! Despite the fact that I repeatedly emphasized that I needed a lower bed, Federico gave me an upper one. Despite this, and although there was another male receptionist behind the counter and other male employees, none of them responded to my requests to help carry my luggage to the upper floor!!! Be prepared for the fact that you will also have to carry the linen yourself after check-out - despite the price for the stay, the staff will not cope with this! In the room, in addition to the fact that there are no lockers and / or bedside tables for storing things, there are also no personal lighting above the bed, and sockets were only in one of the corners of the room! The number of showers (without soap) and toilets does not correspond to the number of people on each floor. The electronic door key may break from time to time! The staff's disregard for guests became obvious when, after I presented a personal item (a beret) forgotten by one of the guests at the reception desk, the girl at the reception desk at first did not want to take it for safekeeping, and then took it only after I had to insist that the guest could return for the item, and they should keep it!The “breakfast” included in the price of your stay cannot be called that – it is more for show.

My room was nothing like the picture. Four rickety beds and barely walking space. I was on the top bunk, my ladder was missing a screw. There was mystery stains on the walls and the door. The pillow felt like a ziploc bag of air and the door and window squeaked. The shower was absolutely DISGUSTING. It was a raised room, the whole floor shared one shower. The shower curtain did not work and the shower flooded the floor, and dripped out into the hallway. There was no space, I had to put my towel in the sink to keep it from getting wet. There was no shower head, just a pipe sticking out of the wall and there was mold in the shower. Honestly felt unclean after showering. I would not recommend this hostel

Yelp
Run. Now. As fast as you can. Worst hostel ever. Save your money. Location: it's near the green metro line, and a lot of eating places. Not on a busy street, but it's noisy everywhere in Paris. People: OMG, it's like weird people. Like you have older people who rent beds in this hostel, like mid 40s and 50s, and families, which I find weird because you're that old and can't afford a decent room? Or maybe you are really trying to save money? Iono, I just found it weird... So the crowd here is not really "cool" or "hip" like other hostels I've been to now. Everyday: they have a hostel "lock down" from 11-4pm. Nobody can enter the rooms or you cannot be in your rooms. ARE YOU EFFIN KIDDING ME?!? Did we not pay for this hostel?! So we pay whatever a night and we are kicked out for 5 hrs everyday. What a scam. Sure they say it's for cleaning the place, but place never seems to be clean! Some people don't know how to shit, and shit all over the toilet seat and it still wasn't clean 2 hours later. With the 5 hrs lock out, you are force to be out and about and can't sleep in or come back and take a nap to reenergize. Nope. Hostel: they don't provide sheets. Common areas seem packed with boxes and junk. 2 bathrooms, 3 showers in hallway for the whole floor... So lame. And showers you have to press every 30 seconds for water. Also showers are tiny as hell. Ugh. Only good thing they have is free computers for Internet access. Only 5 though, gets full but not too bad. Breakfast is only 1.5 hrs, and the lady kicks you out 5 minutes til closing.Lame. It's only cereal and bread. Staff seems to be nice though. Other than that, I suggest you book somewhere else becuz you are locked out for 5 hrs and this place is dirty and gross. Probably worst hostel I've been in so far.

Yelp
It was an okay hostel. 30 minutes walk to the Effiel Tower. I practically visited the tower each day I stayed in Paris. If you figure out a faster way to the Tower then it's less than 30 minutes. One cool thing about the hostel was that each night they had a movie night and the artwork next to the front desk would correspond to whatever movie was being shown. The artwork was pretty cool. I wish I had taken a picture of their drawing of Uma Thurman from Pulp Fiction. I guess this is where the good things stop. The front desk always had information, but one girl seemed to be annoyed when I asked for information on how to get to one place. They don't provide sheets on the beds and charge for bed sheets. The bathrooms were pretty bad. The shower was a tiny room, almost like a closet. I did like that the sink and toilet was separate from the shower, but the bathrooms were cleaned only once and you didn't know when they would be cleaned. I had to share the bathroom with 2 other 4 people rooms and mine was a 4 person room. 12 people to one bathroom. It got dirty very fast. It was almost like we had a public bathroom judging by how dirty it was. I don't understand how it wasn't cleaned more often because the hostel doesn't provide sheets so they don't have that added work, they could spend more time cleaning the bathrooms. The hostel didn't provide a towel to wipe the water from the floor when someone showered then the water could be cleaned up. My final verdict is that if you can find a better hostel, go to that one. I only went with this hostel because it was my first time traveling and first ever hostel. Now looking back, I should have checked out reviews of hostels before I book them. I don't think this place is worth the amount I paid to stay there. I learned my lesson.

Yelp
Let me preface this post with a little bit about myself. When I stayed here I was in my late 30's. I've stayed at other hostels but I usually stay at $100 hotel. I eat cheap for breakfast and lunch but enjoy a nice dinner in the evening. I'm not above a decent hostel. THIS PLACE was HORRIBLE. Upon arrival, they assumed my girlfriend and I were partners and offered us one towel and one sheet set??? We were paying for two beds. Get a grip, we're not all lesbians and even so, two towels would be nice. We stayed in December, the shower water never warmed AND you have to continually push a button to keep the frozen water coming. It was too cold to wash my hair during our 3-night stay (I discovered hats on this trip). The room itself was small and basic....typical. I could see the Eiffel from the furthermost corner and over the sink of the window. We considered this a bonus and were happy to see it. The NOISE...OMG. No they don't go by rules, some fools were chatting in the hallway at 3 am. I get it, party all night but can you keep it down in the hallways? Jesus, that's what phones are for. Stay at your own risk....at the very least it will be memorable....probably in a bad way.

Yelp
Honestly for the amount we paid for this place it was fine. I stayed for one night with two friends in a four person mixed dorm room. We had another roommate who was a stranger, which seemed kinda sketchy at first but it was totally fine. The beds are not the most luxurious and somewhat uncomfortable but it was cheap and a place to sleep. I probably would not have been happy to spend more than just the one night here, but for just the one night I didn't think it was as bad as some of the other reviews I have read. It was also in a great location, super safe neighborhood and walking distance from tourist attractions.

Yelp
It's convenient and near all, but if you're looking for a hot shower it's not going to happen. The water never did warmed up. It was cold showers for us all week. Brrr

Yelp
The Aloha Hostel. I stayed here for a couple of nights back in 2002 when I was in Paris. It wasn't too bad, but not too awesome, either. From what I remember, the common areas were kind of lacking, and the social aspect of the place wasn't too strong. It was affordable and easy to get to from the metro, though. One thing that stands out in my memory about this place is that the showers were horrible; like a closet that had been converted into a shower stall. I would hope that they would have done something about that after all these years.

Yelp
Things must have changed since previous reviewers stayed. The only remark still relevant is the lack of smiles from the front desk. It's clean, has couches, free computers, wifi and breakfast. It's true the showers are tiny but this *is* Paris.

Yelp
Not one of my favorite hostels at all. It was pretty close to the subway and a easy walk to the Eiffel Tower, but there was virtually no social aspect and the crowd was significantly less cool than most hostel crowds. There were a lot of older people (I'm talking 50s and 60s) and the common areas were a bit cramped. The showers were tiny and dirty. I would recommend looking for a different hostel if you're going to Paris.

Yelp
I don't know why everyone is hating on this Hostel because it is the best experience I've had so far with hostels. They give you a FREE private locker for your belongings and will keep your luggage in a baggage room that I felt beyond trust for. My friend and I got there early for check in and they still allowed us to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. They gave us great advice on everything we needed, the bathrooms were SPOTLESS, and my bed was comfy for an exhausted traveler. Highly recommend. At night you can even see the eiffel tower lit up from a few feet away from the hostel. i loved it. right near a metro as well. When i go back to Paris I will surely be staying here.
