Aloha Safari Park

Yes this zoo has lots of animals and it may seem neat but the tigers have little to no room, the tigers are extremely over weight, I have never in my life seen a tiger as fat as the one I saw here. They had a ton of goats in a small enclosure where it was nothing but mud. A lot of the animals bearly get up and move, while some others constantly just circled their cage. They don’t have enough enrichment. I’m not a while life expert but theirs no way these animal have their needs met to truly flourish.

This place was so fun!! We originally showed up to do the drive thru safari. However, once we arrived, we saw the drive thru was closed due to them getting ready for their Christmas drive thru. We didn’t know what to expect but we ended up just doing the walk thru safari. We loved it!!! They have all kinds of animals and you can pet kangaroos and feed donkeys, ostriches, giraffes, etc. We were a group of 4 adults so this place isn’t just for kids. Highly recommend and we can’t wait to come back to do the drive thru safari!

Iam so glad I found this little zoo! It was such a fun experience for the adults and kids in our group! We also decided to do the animal encounter with a baby kangaroo. Even with the little lack of communication we received regarding the experience, we still had such a great time. And the team member who was with us for the encounter was so knowledgeable and willing to answer all our questions! Also the pricing is phenomenal for the experience you get!

We did not like this experience. To each their own. The exhibits were random, completely different species exhibits were beside each other in a cramped barn. We will not be returning. The loud Christmas music on November 1st really annoyed us. The staff were more busy setting up Christmas decorations (once again on November 1st) than fixing broken fences that almost fell on my toddlers near the emu exhibit. It’s giving consumerism and only caring about making a dollar. The whole zoo just seemed RANDOM?? The animals seemed stressed out. Particularly the monkeys and tigers. The animals in general did not have much space to roam and the conditions seemed pretty bleak. I wouldn’t waste the money to attend it. First “zoo” I have went to that I genuinely felt bad for the animals. Felt like a Netflix tiger king exhibit to be honest.

second time going here and i can say , the later you go the better (during the week) went an hour before they closed on thursday and only two other groups walking around !! i feel like you can see more animals and even spend more time with the ones you like , without having everyone else close and by you (not in a mean way) !! the workers are nice and friendly as well … one of the best smaller zoos perfect for younger kids … took my one year old daughter for her birthday and she loved it (espically the cows) !!

Please do not listen to the reviews that posted before this post. This zoo is still amazing! We’ve been here for 17 years and it has changed over the years but we had the most amazing time today with my family in town! The drive through animal feeding was the best part! And for all those little girls out there that are obsessed with Capybara’s-they have 3! 2000% worth the $15 entrance fee! And the staff was wonderful-working hard to care for this little gem in our back yard! These animals are just beautiful!

Very cute place! Lots of different animals to feed see and pet! You can walk around and view animals then get in your car and ride the safari tail!! Buy feed in the shop and at the gate to enter the safari! And you can buy carrots to feed the giraffes!

My Husband and I came here on my Birthday, and it was the most fun and entertaining experience!! First, we did the drive through, and I was not ready for how hard we would laugh and how aggressive an ostrich can be. They come and dart their heads in to get food. Also, the llamas and alpacas will follow your car if they want more food. Hilarious. We repeated to ourselves several times not to feed the donkey and the zebras, as they can bite! We actually drove through the whole thing twice, and I'm really glad we did. More and more animals came to our car the second time around. There are camels that are feet taller than our car. We were able to feed and interact with some more huge gentle giants and also learned to roll the windows up if an ostrich was running towards us! The walk-through portion is fun as well, we fed some barnyard animals and even pet a kangaroo! The big, exciting part for me though was when we got to feed carrots to the giraffes. They are so huge but so docile and they take the carrots with their tongues. This was really a fun experience, with us even putting the carrots in our mouths for them to give us "kisses". All the staff members are friendly and helpful, the areas are well kept and the animals seem to be well cared for. The price is $15 to enter, and that includes the drive through and walk through, you get a wrist band so you can go to each as many times in your visit that you want to. The cups of feed are $3 each the first time, and then an additional dollar for refills. The giftshop was cute with lots of fun stuff to purchase. There is also a food vendor there on site with some yummy foods, and an area with picnic tables to enjoy a nice lunch. This was a great time, and I will recommend to anyone in Fayetteville or surrounding areas!

I've been avoiding the Aloha Safari Zoo because I try to only visit AZA accredited zoos, but I recently went for their Holiday Lights. Admission was $10 per person over the age of 2. While the light portion was all within the confines of your vehicle while driving through, you were able to walk around afterwards. There were a lot of lights all along the route, but you can see some animals running around being annoyed by all the cars and lights. It was obviously dark during the walking portion since it had to be dusk (or later) to see the holiday lights. While I admit all the animals are cute and fun to see, they should be resting rather than having a bunch of people walk by keeping them up.

Fun seeing different animals and feeding them. Especially giraffes. I worry about the tigers small cage and they pace as if they're sad and anxious. Also no one there speaks Hawaiian (I live in Hawai'i and tried to speak to someone in 'Õlelo Hawai'i' and the clerk looked at me weird.

So it's $15 a person for adults. You can buy a cup of food for 3$ to feed the animals and it's 1$ for a refill. Pretty cheap and you get a good amount to give out. Plus, you can pay 3$ for a cup of about 6 carrots to feed the giraffes and it's so worth it! The animals are great and they have a good variety. Plus, you pay the one fee and you can do BOTH the walk around part and the drive through! So worth it.

When we first pulled in we were a little skeptical as it doesn't look like much but we were so wrong! I've never seen such diversity of animals in one place. They all seemed extremely well cared for and happy. After we did the walk through we did the drive through portion. TIP: there are a LOT of Emu, Donkeys, Llama, Deer and some very hungry Ostriches that will eat all of your food quickly so get a few extra cups for the drive-through. Second TIP: keep the animal food cups for your next visit and only pay $1 for food vs $3. They do recycle the cups so if you don't want to keep it there are black collection boxes throughout.

Me and my boyfriend arrived at 4pm when the place closed as 5 which was more than enough time to look at the inside and outside. It was $40 so we expected to see the inside and outside for that much. It was hard to find where to enter the drive thru. After we found where it was we had to call the place to get them to open the gate. Which took a while. After that the drive through was nice we come to the front to park to explore the inside park THAT WE PAID FOR AND IT WAS CLOSED! $40 for a drive thru is crazy and closing the inside 20 minutes early is ridiculous. She shouldn't have let us purchase if we couldn't get what our hard earned money is worth. I'll never be back. I don't recommend this place at all. With that price you better give the experience!

I've been here about once a year since I moved to NC. They have added a drive through section as opposed to a staff run tour, which is a nice addition to the experience. The animals are all so friendly and gentle, and the park has a huge variety of animals from fennec foxes to giraffes. Prices are reasonable and there are nice seating areas in the shade to relax or take a break from the heat. My only concern is that there is a single capybara near the swan pool that is in desperate need of fresh clean water. Poor guy looked hot and he only had dirty water with trash in it to cool off in.

I cannot recommend this experience enough. Worth every single penny. Side note: the price is more than reasonable for what you get; I would have expected a much higher fee! As an avid animal advocate, I have not been to a zoo in over a decade. The ethicality of this organization was the primary basis of my visit and I must say, I was not disappointed. I was expecting a few animals, nothing crazy, and about an hour time parameter. Wrong! I could stay from open to close. The drive through zoo was absolutely beautiful (even on a rainy day!) and the walk through zoo has been implanted in my brain as a core memory. All of the animals were very friendly, well taken care of, and had such huge personalities. Not to mention, the wonderful staff! Everyone was pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. I can't wait to come back!!!

We took my god daughter who is four for the day and she loved it. There are two sections, one you walk around feeding the goats, giraffes. Through the walk thru part, you also see the monkeys, tigers and birds. Then you can get in your car and feed the other animals. They did have a good truck while we were there, not sure if the same one is already there but the tacos, rice and beans were delicious. They also have a gift shop where you can purchase stuffed animals, ice cream soda pop and chips. We would definitely go again! It was a lot of fun! They also offer a veterans discount.

The drive through safari was a hoot! It was a lot of fun to drive with the windows down and the animals would come over for a zoo provided ($3) treat. For $15 per person, the zoo was very nicely kept. Few included the safari drive.

Went here with my sons for spring break! This place is only about 20 mins from us and I did not even realize it, definitely a hidden gem. The admission is pretty steep in my opinion, $15/adult and $13/child. It comes with admission to the walk around portion and the drive-thru. We did the walk around portion first. There were giraffes whom you could feed carrots for $3. Monkeys, birds, snakes, lemurs, turtles, and alligator plus plenty more! It was very quiet and not crowded at all. You can walk around at your own pace without feeling hurried along. For the drive-thru portion, feed is free and you can get however many cups you like. The animals in here come right up to your window and allow you to feed them. They will eat right out of your hand or the cup, whatever you are more comfortable with. Some of the animals are a little demanding and know you have the food and they want it!! We took about an hour and 15 mins to complete the drive. It was very leisurely and enjoyable. My son enjoyed himself, he got a souvenir from their small, quaint shop. There is also a playground that the kids can play on. Overall, for a quick little outing for the kids if you live in the area, this was nice.

Love!!! First I love that this is a rescue not a zoo that buys its animals. It was very clean and the animals looked relaxed and not stressed like a typical zoo. Fed the animals on the walking part and gave away the leftover feed big mistake next time will definitely save it for the driving part. This guy was waiting to be fed. I will be back

The zoo looks dumpy. It does not compare to big zoos. All the animals look unhappy and cramped. The animals are not organized. It looks like they just put animals wherever they could find space.

Great location to take kids to get close encounter with the animals and not have to do Lot of walking. The drive thru was nice because none of the animals were aggressive. Worth visiting!!!

The best little zoo. The driving around to feed animals was our favorite part, by far. It was a little scary but hilarious! 10/10 would go again

I took my granddaughter and had a blast. Not a big zoo and no restaurant to eat at. So eat before you come. But we'll worth the $12.00 to get in. included in the price is a tractor ride where you get to feed the animals. They come right up in your face to get the carrot. Tge driver stops for about 5-10 so everyone get a chance to enteract with them. It was so much fun we are going back next weekend.

We were surprised how close we got to the animals. We had a great time. If you're the type who doesn't like zoos, then this might not be for you. The difference is they have a very large zone where the animals run free and you ride on a Safari behind a tractor. We got to feed camels, antelope, Scottish cow and see so many more. We wished we had a child with us, but we were all as excited as children.

Such a great idea! You drive through large herd animals, camels, llamas, ostriches and more! The animals will put their heads right in your car so you can feed and pet them! Be sure to buy plenty of food to feed them with! The monkeys and lemurs are in large enclosures that connect to others. My only con was the Umbrella Cockatoo. He was by himself and had been plucking. Overall a good place. My

I had fun while I was there.. The entire zoo took no less than an hour. It was stroller friendly and kid friendly. They had a small kid area for the kids to play near the entrance. I would suggest not to buy the food to feed the animals. The zoo is small and there's two cages in between the animals and you.. so it makes it harder to feed the animals. Plenty of people don't finish the cup and end up leaving it everywhere. Which we needed up picking up extras along our route. They had a tiger, I was surprised. Pretty clean too!

We went to their holiday light event last year, and we really hope they do it again next year. The lights were magical, and it was so nice to see the nocturnal animals up and moving. We plan on making this an annual tradition for our family. It was so sweet seeing one of my kids playing with the tiger cub (cub was running along the enclosure after kiddo), seeing them both feed deer, dancing with the cockatiel, and meeting a kangaroo. $12 per person (This includes the safari tractor ride) $3 for feed bag $1 for carrots I think(?) they give a military discount, but can't remember. I believe it'a cash only for the carrots, but they do take credit/debit cards for everything else. Facility was great! We came on a Sunday and weather was questionable, but the safari ride still took place. Crowds were low and we didn't really have to wait to see any of the exhibits. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and exceeded our expectations. One of the men even took out a couple snakes and a bearded dragon for my step son (5YO) to look at and pet. Very kind and patient! Safari ride was a little cramped, but we had fun. Not sure if they always have tortillas to feed the animals with, but we had a bunch of soggy ones left over in the box near our seats, so we were able to throw some as we rode along. The animals seemed thrilled to have an audience and even ran alongside the tractor for the majority of the trip. We definitely enjoyed the walk through exhibits as well. My step son loved feeding the animals and petting whatever animal he could. The giraffe was a definite favorite. He was very gentle and loved being fed carrots. All animals seemed to be well cared for and happy. Apparently mor happens during the summer, so we will be back! Definitely recommend going if you have small children. Fun experience for the whole family.

We all had a great time at Aloha Safari Zoo. Lots to see the beard(my grandson favorite). Feed the giraffe. Take the Safari ride. Lots of goats & animals for the kids to pet. Loved the beautiful peacocks.

Over priced for the drive through zoo portion. Especially because it's just all the same animals and you get stuck none stop.

Not your typical zoo, this place is a sanctuary animal rescue. Animals look well taken care of. Took us under 2 hours to get there from wake forest. They do require masks but only near tigers and primates who can catch Covid and at the indoor exhibits. You'll definitely want to purchase bags of feed at only $3.00 as you will truly enjoy having the sweet things eating gently out of your hand. Well maybe not the tigers or bears! They have free roaming ducks and peacocks, lots of adorable miniature horses, monkeys, bear, reptiles, birds and more. Great place to spend about an hour or so.

First I'm not big in zoos and seeing animals caged so I'll never give a 5 rating but I do know this place is for animals who have been abandoned and abused. And proceeds go to that. Another thing is they charge you like $2 for feed for the animals but you only really need it for the giraffe and that's different food. The others have so much on the ground they're not gonna starve if one out of 3 people stop and feed them so price for feed was a little over kill. My favorite was the giraffe you could feed. So sweet. Tigers we're cool but they were all sleeping. Lol There was a bear but he was in his den. Monkeys were out and they were cute. All in all not a bad zoo.

I couldn't brag about this zoo anymore! I've been going for years! I've had the opportunity to play with a real baby tiger that was rescued and so many more animals! I've been there where the raisers would bring their animal outside or would go inside the inclosure and play with them or give them affection. You can feed a majority of animals! I am sad they got rid of the safari where you would feed the animals bread! One of the workers has a white wolf as his pet and is the sweetest and happiest pup in the world. Not going to forget to mention the peacocks that are free roaming, you can go on a scavenger hunt for their feathers that they have left on the ground and take them home! Again it's an amazing environment for everyone and I love this place!

Such a fun experience! Great pricing for all that's included--there is so much to do & see. The workers were so nice & truly care about the animals.

I was super excited to take my 19m old daughter here. However, I wasn't impressed at all! The only great thing about this place was the ability to feed the giraffe. We paid to feed the goats, but that was super hard to do, because the ones up front have a decent gap between where you're suppose to stand and where the goats are. Not to mention, in both areas to feed the goats the goats can't really get their mouths through the pens. I decided to try and hand feed, but most the feed still ended up on the ground. There was also several hand washing stations around the area, however, NONE of them had water. So I was unable to wash my hands nearby or my daughters without having to go back to the front and going to the bathrooms there, which is very unhygienic when you have a toddler who is always putting their hands in their mouth quickly. Most of the animals are kept in small metal enclosures and are do not have natural surroundings in the least bit. It just wasn't the experience we were hoping for. Next time we will just take the drive to the N.C Zoo.

Super fun zoo!!! The staff is super nice, and the setup is easy to walk through! So many different animals to see, and if you buy the feeding bag you can even feed some of the animals. Admission is super affordable ($12.00) + $3.00 for the feeding bag if you want it. Me and my boyfriend walked around the whole thing and did the safari ride which is about 10-15 minutes long. You ride on the back of a tractor and see the rest of the animals! We had a lot of fun, I would definitely recommend checking the weather before you go. Majority of the zoo is sunny, except this one cute little sitting area and some of the animal exhibits! I would highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't already!

This zoo horrified me and my small grandchildren. Is this place regulated? The living conditions are horrible no clean water nowhere to be seen. The animals look stressed.

Nice selection of animals for a smaller, local zoo. Nice access to giraffe and some other animals but monkeys were so far away double fencing in between so it was hard to see and photography many other animals too. Maybe a plexiglass panel for Tiger and other cages so photos aren't of femce. Prices on website were wrong. Safari tour was packed...maybe do it more often so germs aren't an issue. We met a nice zookeeper who had coatimundi (I think) in cage crawling on her. She was very chatty and informative when she came out and that was the high point of our visit.

Love the fact that they take unwanted, mistreated, injured animals that cannot be returned to the would. The animals seem healthy and relaxed. Staff seem to care about the animals. 90 minutes alliws you to cover the place. Great for young children to interact with animals. They have the ability to get close up. About an hour from Raleigh. Admission was $12 pet person. Feed was $3 per bag.

Great zoo and every time we go back it improves. Our girls loved holding the baby kangaroo at Christmas and seeing the Christmas lights and animals together.

To begin with, it's more of a sanctuary than zoo. The entry fee ($12) is very reasonable (it includes the safari ride). I'd definitely bring a few single dollars to feed the giraffe on top of the $3 food bag. ALL of the staff are incredibly kind on top of being very knowledgeable. When I went with my boyfriend and mom the owner was actually walking around the premises asking to people about their experience and what's been their favorite part, just making sure everyone was having a good time. At this time he also had a 50 day old baby monkey on his shoulder and he was allowing people to pet her as well as answering questions about her. The safari ride can be a little cramped (based on amount of people and different body builds) but it's definitely fun to throw the animals bread and watch them run for it. The lady (unsure of her name) that gave the safari ride tour was really funny but and super informed about all the animals. I would recommend it over and over again. Such a good experience, there's a ton of different animals and the baby camel and baby lion are big hits!

Took my niece and nephew over the summer. We loved this place. Love that all the animals are rescued from inappropriate living conditions and now living free with support of a great team. Will visit again.

Love it here! Both our babies love coming here! We love feeding the animals and going on the little tractor ride!

When you first walk in you can't help but notice that it is Very clean. The staff is friendly and went out of their way to tell us about the animals We had so much fun, you can tell the animals are well taken care of and that the employees enjoy and love the animals as well.

What an amazing place !! Perfect for all ages , animals are very up close and look well taken care of but let me tell you about the staff !!! I called ahead cause I was running a little past closing time and the wonderful lady at the front door waited up for us ! We were looking at the giraffes and a very nice young man from California came up , talked about the zoo and let my kids feed the giraffes. We felt so welcomed and comfortable throughout our entire time there and will be back !

We visited for the first time the other day and had so much fun. There are so many different animals. They all seem happy and cared for. My daughter LOVED feeding them. It's small bit well worth the money. We really loved it!

We have been to many zoos all across the country and this one is at the top of the list. We spent 4+ hours here with our 5- and 7-year-old and loved every minute. Some of our highlights: feeding giant ostriches, the safari ride, of course (we went twice!), petting a giant Burmese python, the amazing array of animals, and hearing some of the animals' stories from the main animal keeper. Perhaps the best part is that many of the animals are rescues and they are obviously well cared for and loved :)

Great location! It's a lot bigger than it appears:) Kids had a blast! And it is affordable for the whole family!!

This Zoo was pretty good! The Grizzly seemed kinda hot but I suppose it could have been worse. The price definitely wasn't bad and there were tons of animals! All five of my kids loved it and wanted to go back! Highly recommend!

I like how close you get the animals, and the staff are really nice and helpful. Some if the inner buildings, in the summer heat, can get a little stinky. But the whole experience is awesome, and I've been a handful of times.

This is super cute! There's a nice safari ride in a trailer being pulled by a tractor. You can feed most of the farm animals, and that was great for the kids. GO EARLY! We showed up at 11am on a Saturday and we waited for 1.5 hours before deciding to leave and come another day. We got there at 10am on the following day and got in immediately! Feeding the giraffes was a huge plus. Great for kids!

This is a great little Zoo! They have rescued so many animals. You can tell the staff loves their job and taking care of the animals. You can tell they are constantly updating and making sure they have enough room for the animals. We visited shortly after they had finished a bigger enclosure for the bear. Loved the little tram ride to feed the goats, llamas, zebras & more. They had one of the zoo keepers come give an educational talk & show some animals up close. The kids loved that! Another great thing was feeding the giraffe!! The kids loved it and even us adults had a blast with that one! Even fed it out of our mouth to get a great picture! Thought it was great to have hand sanitizer stations posted throughout the zoo. The zoo was kept clean and maintained very well! I would definitely recommend a visit for a day!
