Unfortunately we did not have the best experience staying here. There is a club next door that was playing loud music all night until the early hours of the morning which kept us awake. The club goers were also loitering outside the entrance and blocking it when we left around 10am. While the rooms appeared nice we had issues with a broken door and limited hot water in the shower. The breakfast options were great though. Although we know the noise issues are probably out of the owners control, we thought it's best for people to know and I imagine without the noise it may have been a more restful place to stay.

I hated almost everything about this hotel. First off, no one is there; everything is handled remotely by WhatsApp. So if you get there early, you can’t leave your luggage. They only text you a door code at 4 PM. My room door wasn’t open like they promised, so I had to text them, and they told me where the master key was, just sitting in an unlocked drawer at the front desk that no one ever is at. So basically that meant my room was entirely unsecured. They don’t do breakfast, they just leave some snacks in your room, and it wasn’t enough for my whole visit. They don’t refill snacks or change out towels. There was only enough hot water for five minutes of shower, and then it got freezing. Oh, and the dance music from the bar next door is loud all night long. Definitely do not stay here!

I adore this place. Very cozy historical building at a great location, about 15 minutes walk towards Universidade de Coimbra. Close to bars, shops and literally next to an ATM. The room was very clean and comfortable equipped with everything I needed. The kitchen is full with snacks, fruits, tea and coffee to share and they'd provide breakfast from 6 AM onwards. The self check-in is efficient though I was also greeted in the reception. Bonus: if you're lucky, there will be two cats gracing you with their presence in the garden 😊

This is a very tastefully renovated old house on a main square in Coimbra. It is modern and clean throughout. I particularly liked the courtyard garden and the communal kitchen/lounge. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is it can be quite noisy at night and if you've got heavy suitcases and are on the top floor, there is no lift and you have to go up a lot of stairs. This guest house is recommended for a stay in a traditional house with modern facilities in a central location at an excellent price.

Very nice cozy hotel in the center of Coimbra, all sights are available walking distance. Lots of cafeterias and bars are around, at the hotel toasts, jams and biscuits are available in the shared kitchen together with teas and coffees, you can enjoy your drink in the patio observing the cats, also you can fix yourself a breakfast, all kitchenware is new and available. Wifi was free and fast :) ||We booked a room for one night during the week and were pleasantly surprised to find out it was upgraded as there were not much visitors same time. Room very very nice, stylish and clean, airco worked nicely for heating. Thank you so much, would love to stay here again.

Receptionist was very friendly and helpful, she even baked a cake for guests to enjoy in the lounge, which has a terrace. Single rooms and bathrooms are tiny but ok for one night. The shower leaked and basin tap has too much pressure so you can easily wet your clothes when washing your hands. The bed was comfortable but the noise on the street made sleep challenging, students were having what sounded like a street party. I would stay again but only if we could have room(s) not facing Praça da República.

Decent spot for your stay in Coimbra. Located in the upper part of the city, the spot is perfect for sightseeing and night life. Great service, can not ask more when it comes utilities. Patio for your morning coffee, late lunch and/or early drinks. Highly recommended!

Wonderful! It's a beautiful hotel, with a communal kitchen, with lots of treats and yesterday, Susanna made a beautiful orange cake, which was utterly delicious! The kitchen leads out into a gorgeous terrace with a gang of friendly cats. The garden is lit up at night, with candles and tea lights and looks magical. 😻 The bed was comfy and despite the muffled noises from the bar next-door (excellent double glazing!) we had a good night's sleep. We loved it here so much, we booked a room for NYE! 🎉
