Alona Beach

I saw a doggie surfing, and it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in my life. 🧡 It’s a good beach to chill, surrounded by pubs, restaurants, and souvenir shops. When I visited, many locals were bringing out starfish to either show their family or take pictures, which I found interesting.

Alona is such a busy area that you would think that some of the revenue could finish the road into the beach. Alona is a beautiful beach that's underserved by local infrastructure. It's too bad.

The beach has lost a lot of what once made it special. The concrete wall and breakwater have changed the landscape so much that it barely feels like a natural shoreline anymore. What used to be a pleasant place to visit now feels uninviting, and it’s hard to recommend to anyone. Maintenance is clearly an issue. Trash is everywhere, especially plastic, and there’s no proper path to walk along the beach. When it rains, things get even worse. Mud takes over, making the area uncomfortable at best and unsafe at worst. Overall, it’s disappointing to see how much the environment has been neglected. The current condition suggests poor planning and a lack of ongoing care, and the beach no longer lives up to its potential.

Plenty of restaurants to explore and try, and the overall vibe is very chill. During our visit, there were lots of beach drifts so I wasn’t able to swim, but we still enjoyed hanging out by the shore and trying street food. It made for a relaxing beachside experience with great vibes.

The beach is a nice place to relax. The sand is soft, and the sound of the waves is calm and peaceful. You can swim, play, or just sit and enjoy the view. It’s fun to walk along the water, especially in the morning or evening. Some beaches can get crowded, and sometimes there is trash, but overall, it’s a great place to visit.

Alona Beach is a popular spot in Bohol known for its white sand and clear blue water. It’s great for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling. There are many hotels, restaurants, and bars nearby, making it lively and fun. Sometimes it can get crowded, but it’s still a nice place to relax and enjoy the beach. I hope they clean it every day, as lots of seaweed tends to wash up on the shore. When we visited the Henan area, the beach there was much cleaner. Also, there are too many boats parked along the beach—hopefully, they will have a designated area for them soon.
