My husband and I stayed at Alpenglow in July and it was the highlight of our Alaska vacation! We had high expectations and it still managed to surpass them. The most beautiful scenery, the most artful layout of the property, so much care was taken in every detail! The staff were welcoming and friendly, the meals and snacks available were high quality. Everything about it was lovely. There is almost a reverence to a place so beautiful. And all that was topped off by a mom and baby moose who slept right outside our tent, making for a completely magical experience. Would absolutely go back or recommend to anyone!

I never camped in such luxury! It was so comfy and cozy in the nice warm bed despite the chilly weather. The breakfast was incredible and made fresh for each guest. The hot tub was exactly what I needed after a long day of hiking and exploring! And I can’t describe the incredible views that every single tent has. Would definitely recommend!!

Google
What a fantastic Alaskan experience! We were looking for something outside of the normal cabin/hotel (which we also did) and this gem of a place fit the bill. We reserved a Glacier View tent, and that’s what we got. The tent was clean and well organized, with a comfortable bed and warm blankets. We were there in late July, and the weather was not too cold, so we left the flap open and slept with just the screen. Waking up in the night and looking out over the glacier was like magic. The restrooms and showers were clean and convenient, and as with everything else, well laid out. The common area had great and scenic seating areas with a nice fire pit and cornhole game. They had board games if you want, plenty of snacks in the kitchen on the honor system, and two taps with good local beers for a relaxing evening. The common area is also the location for a fantastic breakfast cooked fresh. Great way to start the day! The staff and owners were awesome - a shoutout to Colleen, Lizzie, Audrey, and Mandy, but they weren’t the only ones. We were in Alaska, so the mother moose and her calf calmly grazing near the restroom shouldn’t have been a (pleasant) surprise. If I could give this fine little place six stars, I would. Since I can’t, five will have to do. If you’re looking for a pleasant and memorable experience, I couldn’t give Alpenglow a higher recommendation.

This place is a dream. Every little detail is so well thought out and the team goes above and beyond. They are so friendly! We had the knik text with the glacier view which was gorgeous. Hot tub was perfect and breakfast was delicious. It’s a perfect place and we were even able to see the aurora the night of my birthday :) We loved our stay. Thank you so much!

Google
This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! It was the most peaceful getaway from the world! Our glamp site was very clean and had the most gorgeous view! The staff had everything for us from s’mores, a hot tub with Mountain Views, a keg if you wanted a drink and the cutest common area with board games and tables to eat at. They also made the most delicious breakfast that was included with our stay. If you’re in the area or able to book a trip I 1000% recommend it!

We had an incredible stay at Alpenglow! The staff was phenomenal, views were incredible and we had the best guides for our tour of the glacier. The amenities were very clean and well maintained.. we especially enjoyed the hot tub and kitchen area with fresh breakfast served daily! Highly recommend this peaceful retreat.

Google
Amazing location and view. We had the glacier view and had a perfect view of the glacier from our tent. ||It did get a little cold at night despite the wind proofing and blankets. ||Great public area with the snacks, s’mores , camp fire, game section, hot tubs and drinks. The bathroom and showers were also shared but everything was clean and provided. They also made us breakfast in the morning!||Would absolutely come back and recommend!

Google
I booked Alpenglow for a last minute solo trip after finding it on Google. The place is incredible. The facilities, the staff, the views, everything. I made friends, took the MICA guides glacier trek, which leaves from the same property, and I can’t speak highly enough of the entire experience. We even got to see the aurora borealis by the campfire. It was amazing. I am already planning to come back with my family next summer. Highly recommend!

Yelp
What a fun little local getaway! Mandy is a joy to work with too! Upon arrival, Mandy met us to welcome us to the location and give us a brief, but thorough tour of the grounds. All spaces were clean and easy to get to. We stayed in one of the Forrest Tents that is a short walk away, but still felt completely isolated from other tents. Breakfast is served (with French press coffee) every morning and it's DELICIOUS! Freshly made breakfast casserole and homemade granola with yogurt! There's a sign up sheet for the hot tub. The hot tub is great for relaxing with a great view. The showers are HOT HOT HOT! There's an outhouse - flushing toilets a short walk away too.

Yelp
What a way to end our Alaska trip! First was a glacier dinner cruise out of Seward. Then Halibut fishing inHomer. Next a couple days of sockeye fishing in Soldotna. After taking in Hope we ventured North to Mantanuska Glacier. After crisscrossing the Kenai Peninsula we were beat and Alpenglow was just what the doctor ordered!! We hiked the glacier in the afternoon and then settled into our accommodations. First thing you'll notice about Alpenglow is the AMAZING, unrivaled view!! By far the best view of anywhere we stayed the entire trip!! From our private deck we had a view of the entire valley including the glacier and the mountains from where it originates. After an afternoon of hiking the glacier we jumped in the hot tub to revive our muscles. We then ventured a few miles down the road for dinner and some homemade pies. When we got back we started our cornhole tournament and enjoyed some time by the fire pit taking in the sunsetting on the snow capped mountain range. When it got dark, about midnight when we were there, we retired to our luxury tents. Sleeping under those nice warm blankets with a chill in the are was great! And I have to give a special thanks to Mandy! She has put together the PERFECT, relaxing experience for ending our Alaska trip! After a week traipsing across Alaska we were thankful to spend our last day and night at Alpenglow!! Thanks again Mandy for the perfect ending!!!

Yelp
Luxury camping is an understatement. This place was amazing!! The tents sleep three comfortably and the beds are comfy. You wake up to beautiful views of the glacier right off your front porch. There is a wood burning hot tub to soak in after a long day of adventures is picture perfect.
