The hotel is close to train station, coop and cable cars station. We booked a room with a balcony. The room is homelike which is also spacious and neat. The personnel is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in the package which was great with stunning Mountain view to enjoy. I will suggest travelers to wake up early in order to pick a dining table next to the window to optimize your dining experience. I will recommend choosing Alpenhof for your stay in Grindelwald.

Priceless view. You can’t judge a place by the number of stars! Good breakfast and friendly staff. The mountain view room is spacious and clean with a big balcony. The beagle family is a bonus if you like dogs! They also have a house wine called “Beagle Wein” primitivo sourced from Italy. Surely enjoyable wine with the fantastic view.

This is a great option for a 3 star hotel. Obviously there is no luxury involved, the rooms are cabin like, but still with amazing views to the alps mountains, and well equipped bathrooms and beds. The personnel was super friendly, it included breakfast so we were serviced quality food every morning and with a smile. The location is great because it’s just a few meters from Grindelwald station, but it’s on a hill, you can call them to pick you up, and we recommend that if you have a lot of luggage. In general excellent opinion.

This us a small lovely hotel situated a up a hill from the main street through Grindlewald. It is not fancy but my husband and I had a marvelous, clean, spacious and quiet 2 room suite with unbelievably beautiful mountain views. We felt like we're staying in a Christmas village swiss chalet. The staff was efficient and friendly. The breakfast was not extensive and, although I would have loved some hot entrees, there was enough to start your day. Be aware that it is a steep walk from the train station and the main street up to the hotel. We drove and there was free parking but the train station is close by. |There is a guest laundry on site that has an hourly fee to use.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here in a family room. Plenty of space for us and our four and six year old. We were on the ground floor so instead of a patio we had a little Garden area which was perfect for having some of our friends who were staying close by over to enjoy some beverages and a beautiful view of the Eiger. We had fantastic views of fireworks on Aug 1st.|The staff were friendly. Breakfast was fantastic, with great service. Would recommend

After postponing 3 times due to the pandemic we finally managed to stay at the hotel. We saw it on a previous visit to Grindelwald and thought it ideal for our 30th Anniversary. Room had views of the Eiger and other surrounding mountains; spectacular. Lovely spacious room, great food and such lovely staff and owners (family run). Spacious car park and just the right distance from the centre of Grindelwald (short walk up a steep hill but never caused us an issue). Near the train station; we went to Interlaken by train and also to the Eiger Express that takes you on the first stage up to Jungfraujoch (Top of Europe) and then up up and up to the top. So well worth it and after a long day easy journey back to the hotel. Unforgettable. We will be back.

Very friendly staff, including pick up from rail station. Beautiful rooms with fabulous views of north face of the Eiger. Excellent breakfasts and adequate dinner, if dining in. The town centre and facilities are only several minutes walk away--downhill--but there is also uphill again! Would easily stay again in this central location.

Our room was gorgeous. View of the mountain. Breakfast was great. Peaceful and quiet. Bedroom door opened to a small terrace/garden.||||Tip: For people with luggage, I recommend using the hotel shuttle as the hotel is on a steep uphill street. Even us carrying groceries.. we had to stop and we’re fit.||||Secondly … for lunch/dinner go to Bebbis. Hearty portions, views all around.
