My parents, brother and I stayed here two nights ago. The chalet’s location is truly spectacular; we could see Jungfrau right from our room and were surrounded by nature and peaceful silence. Unfortunately, the accommodations themselves fell short. The atmosphere felt more like a hostel than a chalet, as the walls were thin enough to hear our neighbors, one bed had a broken slat, the sheets were rough, and the pillowcases were noticeably worn out. We appreciated having a private bathroom, but its design was impractical. The sink was tiny and placed directly under a cupboard, which made it impossible to wash your face without splashing water all over the floor. On the positive side, the shower had excellent water pressure and was spotless, as was the toilet. We paid €315 for the room, and while we understand that Switzerland is expensive, we expected significantly higher quality for this price. In the end, the main highlight was the view and location. I would only recommend this property to travelers who are comfortable with hostel-like conditions at a five-star price.

Well this was probably the most amazing stay during our trip to Europe. The place is surrounded by beauty all around. We had 2 waterfalls which we could see from our room. The rooms were very clean and gave the exact feel of staying in a Swiss village. We had a wonderful time and we dint want to leave. Easy walk from the bus station. The kitchen was very clean and very operational.

Helpful Tip for Future Guests: When using Google Maps or other navigation apps, you might be directed to get off the bus one stop before the actual nearest stop to this accommodation. Instead, stay on the bus until its final stop, which is much closer—only a 3–4 minute walk to the property, compared to the 17-minute walk shown on maps. It would be great if the host could mention this in the check-in instructions to help future guests.

For this type of accommodation it’s bang on. Clean tidy with great staff and the best location. Bus to Lauterbrunnen every 30 mins and at the start of many trails its hard to beat.

Booking customer service is terrible. Booked a room and never received any cancellation policy nor could find any documentation on website. Tried to cancel my room and they refused to give my money back while implementing some cancellation policy that still cannot be found.

Alpenhof is a charming, rustic chalet in the Swiss mountains, offering the perfect blend of quietness and comfort. We had a small family gathering here for my niece's second birthday, and it couldn't have been a better choice. The chalet has a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The outdoor space was ideal for some casual table tennis and provided a great area for the kids to play. If you're looking for a relaxed yet cozy retreat in the mountains, Alpenhof is definitely worth considering.

Hi everyone, Our stay was really good but because of only a heater in the hallway and non in our room it was not really warm in the room also because of electrical outlets only on one position it was not ready easy to change the phone during the night. The location and also accessibility to the public transport was really good. One last thing the mattresses were ok but not really great. But overall was the stey good and I would repeat it if the outside temperature would be higher ore the problem with heating would be solved.

It was most nicely organized and was very beautiful place, for those who wants to stay away from fake world. Cozy room, not very highly decorated but still clean. Was bit loud because of wood floors. Washrooms were also clean. Kitchen clean and open for cooking and making small snacks. We bought from Germany and cooked our small meals in in the hotel. I would definitely recommend and ho again. ❤️
