I really wanted to love this hotel. It was the last one we stayed at during our trip, and while there is a lot to like, there were quite a few shortfalls.
The unit we were in was large and clean, and the beds and linen were comfortable. The hotel is also perfectly located for exploring Pretoria.
A large section of the curtains in the main bedroom were off the rail, hanging down sloppily. It remained that way until we left. We had no key for the security gate, only the glass door to the unit could lock. Upon checking in I'd been told we'd get a key the following day, but this never occurred. We stayed for 2 nights and on the second night a terrible smell came from the bathroom in the main bedroom. We assumed it was one of the drains. We kept the door shut and used the bathroom in the second bedroom.
Breakfast was okay. We loved the fresh orange juice, but they had no ham, feta, or even butter for the toast, on both mornings. These items are all on the menu that you get to pick a dish from. The food was fine, but nowhere near what I'd expect from a 4 star hotel.
The staff are all lovely and friendly.
A bit of a mixed bag on the whole. Certainly not terrible, but there is a lot of room for improvement.
