I liked the food at the bar, I ordered a burger, and it was ready very quickly, I was happy because I was able to charge my cell phone while I waited for my car to charge at the charging station that is close to the bar.

Very old hotel, for some reason there is no TV in the room or in the lobby. The impression of a backwater hotel. The paths are not cleaned.

Perfect location with a quick walk to the ski lifts, but the walls are paper thin making sleep difficult. Currently being kept awake by annoying kids running around that I want to kill. I'm fine with a bare bones micro room with zero amenities and a pretty uncomfortable bed, but $200/night is too much for a tiny, extremely noisy box. If the walls were insulated and the noise wasn't so bad, I'd give this a solid 4 stars simply based on proximity to lifts (but it should still be cheaper for what you're getting.) But the noise is unbearable, so 3 stars.

Alpine Inn exceeded all expectations! Even though we typically stay at 4- or 5-star hotels, our stay here was a delightful surprise. This little, modest hotel has it all. The morning view with the lush trees and birds chirping was absolutely gorgeous. I'm genuinely glad we spent a night here. It deserves more than 5 stars for its unexpected charm and natural beauty.

I'm giving this a 4 star rating, not because it's 4 star fancy but because of other factors. This was a last minute trip and few room options available that met my handicap needs. The 1st of 2 room options was in another hotel at the resort. It was newer with more amenities but was quickly obvious not good for me. The resort was very accommodating in changing our reservation to the other room in another of their hotels. Fewer stairs, closer parking, next to the property restaurant and a closer easier walk to the gondola. They also let my daughter check-in ahead of me, which was great, since she had the kids and I was still a couple of hours away. The rooms were clean, but showing signs of wear. All of the beds were very comfortable. We loved the ambience of an alpine village. We used the hotel restaurant patio extensively. The manager and wait staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accommodating. The food was great, the wait could be a little long, but didn't bother us as it did others. We were there to relax and take in the scenery away from our hectic lives. The location was perfect for our adventure to My Ranier via the Sunrise entrance. It was a perfect trip and we would do it again!

Like entering a 1960s time machine- complete with an utter lack of basic amenities, probably the original carpet and linoleum, creaky floors, poor water pressure, and the hardest beds and pillows I have ever slept on. No AC, no ice machine, no fridge or microwave. The room got so hot but we couldn’t open the windows due to car alarms going off all night. For $330 in August for a “deluxe” room I expected at least something more than a questionable budget hostel room. When I was asked to provide my input I got a response back that basically there are other places to book at, so don’t expect this place to be updated at all in the next 60 years. The location is beautiful but this motel is horrible.

There is NO CUSTOMER service at this facility. The front desk staff is ridiculously unhelpful. For example, there are no parking spaces available at the registration building when it snows. They do NOT plow out the few spaces the registration building has and no way to park. The front desk told me to park 1/2 - 1 mile away and take the bus so I can register. After registering they then directed me to a parking area at the Alpine Inn. Again, this area was NOT plowed and, with a 2-3 foot plowed berm in front of all the parking spots there was no way to access these unplowed spots, so no way to park at the facility and no way to get your luggage in or out. This was not a one time deal. Stayed for three days and the spots were never plowed out. I finally found a guy in the parking lot with a shovel and had to borrow it and shovel an opening to the parking area for 1/2 hour to get in and be able to park. Sure enough when I returned back to my car for another load, the berm had been plowed back in, trapping my car. When I approached the front desk same answer: park down the road and take the bus in. Ridiculous. Housekeeping service is another joke: smoking pot by 8am. Fairly grungy throughout. Paper thin walls are no joke, you can hear every creaky, booming footstep (this time until 3am). This place just plain sucks and is VERY expensive for the lowest level of hotel service/accomodations provided.

Paying over $400 per night for a hotel with chilly rooms (requiring additional blankets upon request) and experiencing a power outage on the second night was not a pleasant experience. I do not recommend it. The only redeeming aspect was the Gulash at their restaurant

Yelp
Lovated in the bottom of the Gondola view this restaurant is one of the two restaurants available in the area. Location wise pretty good. You don't have the breathtaking view like the other one but Alpine Inn Restaurant will give you that cozy cabin vibes while dining in. Love the rustic look and its cozy feeling. Bandit and I love the place. Good thing is they have some rooms available to booked and I'm sure this will elevate the coziness you wanna experience. Since we were not hungry (we ate at the top restaurant 1st) I got the soup of the day and wine for the bandit. The soup is good but kinda lack of taste (salt and pepper easily fixed the issue). Bandit enjoyed his house wine and me enjoying the soup. All is good and would love to try their main menu the next time we visit here. Service is good and the staff are prompt, so it added the comfy feeling while we're here. Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow yeeps!

Yelp
Stopped by here after going to Mt. Rainier national park. Food was underwhelming sadly. The curry was tasty but I got more celery than anything else as a vegetable which was disappointing. The goulash was not good at all. The noodles were over cooked and everything else just didn't have much flavor. Our server was friendly and the views were nice from the windows. Not many options for food in the area.

Nick C.

Yelp
After a Friday visit to Mt Rainier National park I was starving, so we stopped here in the afternoon for some lunch. We ended up being the only people there on a August weekday, so the service was great. Although I'm sure it would have been just as good with other customers there. I got the mushroom burger and it was ok. I'd rather have my burger come with fries as a standard especially when it's nearly $20, but it was potato chips. The burger tasted fine, but nothing amazing for that price. The consensus at our table was that the coconut curry bowl was the best, so I'd recommend that instead.

Yelp
Terrible service (actually "no service") front desk totally unhelpful, no parking areas plowed out/can't access parking (it's a SKI area - they get LOTS of snow), facilities are old, tired, grungy, very noisey at night, staff smokes pot all day starting at 8am, lots of walking to drag baggage and skis uphill, very expensive for very little value ($$$ for 1*), overall a huge disappointment and exercise in frustration. Car got stuck multiple times, bring a shovel, high boots and pain pills for the back breaking work you will have to do to access this place. Then you have to live with the grunge, noise and bad attitude of the staff.

Gwen H.

Yelp
We had breakfast at Alpine Inn at Chrystal Mountain. it was terrible. The buffet only had a waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, cereal, and bananas. it cost $27 for 2 people. Next time we will bring our own breakfast.

Yelp
Seriously cannot believe that the freaking Alpine Inn is going to be our 1,000th Yelp review, but yes, it is. We're prisoners up here at Crystal Mountain where food choices are limited and unexciting, and the Alpine Inn seemed the least horrible option. We showed up a few minutes before they formally opened at 5:00 pm and received a curt command to wait until the precise time. A brief glance at the menu might make you think that you are at an upscale chalet, but no, you are here in Washington state at a rickety lodge paying Park City prices. That's how they get you, folks! Our daughter's $10 mac-n-cheese was 100% Kraft from the box, which she loves, but the markup was hysterical. One of us got a bowl of chili that was barely lukewarm so she asked for a new one that was hot--it was fine. Just your usual Sysco stuff no doubt. The other person boldly went for the goulash and, again, it wasn't bad, but $30?? For some noodles, cabbage, and reheated meat-n-sauce? The brownie sundae we finished with was the best part of the meal, and the "scratch margarita" actually wasn't that bad. Service was efficient albeit not warm and it seemed like there was only ONE guy working the whole restaurant--a recipe for disaster. We'd recommend dining here only if you don't care about spending a lot of money on mediocre grub. 2.5 stars, generously rounding up. Happy 1,000th review to us!

Yelp
We came here for dinner one night while on a recent trip to Rainier. We didn't have high expectations, but were pleasantly surprised! While the service was slow and they seemed understaffed, the food was amazing! I got the tofu curry and it was DELICIOUS. This is jot something I would have normally ordered, but I would definitely order again! Loved being able to sit outdoors!

Kelly H.

Yelp
Service and patio views were top notch! It was a peaceful lunch on the patio surrounded by trees and flowers. The rueben and summer salad were yummy and a great option after a day at the top of Crystal Mountain.

Nora S.

Yelp
There isn't much choice for dining in the area so expect prices to be on the high side. Unfortunately, the deli wasn't available (we were hoping for cheap sandwiches). That said, we very much enjoyed our lunch here. It was very laid back and chill. Service was great. There isn't a lot of choice on the menu for vegetarians, but they had a very unique tempeh sandwich. We were hungry so my husband and I both ordered it. The sandwich was excellent. Tempeh can be funky if not handled right and the tempeh in this sandwich was delicious. It was a great combination of flavors. A gourmet sandwich actually which justified the price.

Jillian E.

Yelp
Came here hungry and were satisfied! Ordered the happy hour meatballs which you can tell are homemade and were really tasty. For entrees I had the pomodoro pasta with chicken which was perfect! A light flavorful red sauce with perfectly grilled chicken. My sister ordered the vegetarian curry which was SO good and flavorful! Almost with I had ordered it. Overall a great spot to sit outside on a summer night and enjoy some good food after exploring the mountains!

Lisa D.

Yelp
While staying at Crystal Mountain, our family enjoyed dinner at the Alpine Inn restaurant. We dined outside on deck and the service was outstanding. We appreciated the tips from the servers, like skip the carafe of wine and order the house specialty, beef stroganoff. Personally the beef stroganoff was one of the best dinners I enjoyed at a restaurant on our trip. The serving was huge, but I still managed to clean my plate after sharing a bite with everyone in the family who agreed it really was the best. The tender beef bites in gravy on top on noodles accented with sweet and sour cabbage and sour cream was divine. The other meals were also enjoyed such as the shrimp bowl and the reuben. The kids burger was just okay. Enjoyed the local beer and some mixed drinks brought from the tavern downstairs. Would have loved the creme brulee flight we envied at the table nearby, but we were just too filled up from our hearty meals. Overall a delicious meal and a nice dining experience, we would return when in the area.

Kameron J.

Yelp
Summer 2020: stayed at the Village Inn for a couple nights while we explored the mountains, eating at the Alpine for breakfast and dinner. Most wouldn't expect gourmet on a mountaintop, but the Alpine exceeded all expectations. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, kind service, and beautiful atmosphere. Even if you're on the mountain for a day, I'd implore you to stay for a meal. It will be worth it.

Tami R.

Yelp
Food and service is horrible. We ate here with a party of 8 and not one person liked their food. Our food tasted like it was freezer burned and was dry and nasty. The servers act like it's an inconvenience when you ask for water or anything for your meal. Since it's one of the only options around here we thought we would give them a second chance and try a burger for lunch. The server acted like she was pissed off at us and disappeared after seating us so we gave up and left. This place has a great location and view. If they had decent food and trained their staff to care about their customers they could probably make a ton of money.

Yelp
Staying at the hotel so we came here last night and got takeout tonight. Yesterday I got the curry bowl and my boyfriend got the burger. I would give mine a 4/5 and the burger was a 4/5 for him however it came out with just a patty and cheese. Apparently they forgot to put everything else on it? I love the view from the cabana we had on the patio and the fireplace was perfect. Also my hot toddy was twice the size they normally are so that was a plus. We had to ask for our waters to be refilled and it took a while even after that. Tonight my boyfriend got the pasta pomodoro which was one of the specials and I got the veggie burger. Mine was great but unfortunately he really didn't like his. 5/5 for my burger and 1/5 for his pasta especially since it was a special. Plus the prices are high so I expect the quality to be better. As you can see there are both pros and cons from our experiences but it does have potential to be better.

Tanya H.

Yelp
Yes it's expensive...but it's also a resort. Vibe is very ski lodge chalet (very fitting considering the mountain setting!). We came here two nights in a row as it's the only place that seems to serve food in the area post 8pm. First night, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the tofu curry and it was delicious. Nice spicy sauce and al dente vegetables. Yum. Second night, the main hostess was very grumpy and really didn't seem to want to serve us even though we arrived at 8.30 (they're supposed to close at 9). However, we were eventually seated and our waiter was friendly enough. I had the shrimp pasta which was actually excellent. It had the most intense lemony sauce and I am all about the lemon sauce. Very nicely balanced dish in my opinion. The same grumpy hostess started switching the lights on and off to make us and the other remaining diners leave about 9.30. I guess she had a hot date but just something to bear in mind if you do decide to go...don't turn up too late! The bar underneath the restaurant seems to stay open pretty late and I think they serve some basic food down there but not sure when the kitchen closes.

Yelp
This was the first time my husband and I have been to Crystal Mountain and we had dinner tonight at the Alpine Inn. Admittedly, we weren't sure what to expect. But we had an outstanding meal and wonderful service by Jess. Despite all of the noise and cheering downstairs during Super Bowl Sunday, the restaurant was quiet and relaxing. You feel like you could be in a quaint Bavarian Village. We ordered the lamb shank and fennel sausage meatball pasta dish and shared both entrees. Both dishes were delicious. The lamb was super tender and tasted like it had been slowly cooking all day. And the pasta dish had a great combination of flavors. Our server, Jess, was attentive, friendly and made our visit a pleasant experience. We will be back!

Bruce E.

Yelp
Our food was average; the spinach dip and pita was best, Happy Hour is not really happy. It's just lunch pricing. Poor choices for beverages. The worst part is service, you have to go inside to get attention, then they bring you outside because it's all about the view, This is at shift change so we are passed from a server who take part of the order and then another take more and then someone else delivered food in action style. Oh yes, hanging flower baskets were beautiful (go for the view maybe) We would try any place else next time

Ted M.

Yelp
Wow what a burger! A just right bun with a juicy patty. The meal was awesome! Great service too!We will be back

Alex Sandra O.

Yelp
Service was excellent, food was okay and overpriced - but expected given the location. Only chips was offered with lunch sandwiches, and they were not good. Pesto pasta salad add-on was also not great. But burgers were good and my daughter loved the brownie dessert.

Gino T.

Yelp
Service was slow considering that not much people were dining around at 4pm for lunch. I guess dont order burger from this place, we were a party of five and everyone ordered a burger. The buns were burnt, meat was overcooked-dry and burnt again. Ended up just eating the vergetables and pickles..

Claudia P.

Yelp
My partner and I got the bean and the meat burgers and they were both terrible. The meat one tasted like cardboard. After a day on the mountain you're hungry and its really disappointing to have a bad meal. It looks like others have had better experience with other dishes but considering how pricey they are, I'm not sure its worth the risk for us. I'd be less upset if a burger wasn't $17! They get one star because the staff was friendly.

Steve J.

Yelp
Food was very tasty, the view from the porch was phenomenal and the wait staff was awesome. It is also the only restaurant open at the resort but we didn't mind a bit

Ronak O.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant during my stay at Crystal Mountain Resorts. I did not have very high expectations being a vegetarian but boy was I surprised! The food was excellent and to top it up, the staff was courteous, friendly and responsive.

Mark P.

Yelp
I love the Alpine Inn - the schnitzel rivals the best schnitzel in Europe and the atmosphere is truly European. Excellent bar downstairs as well. Love this place!!!

Kelly L.

Yelp
We were here on a Thursday night at around 5:30 so it was pretty slow. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming, lodgey feel of the place since we haven't been too many places that were able to create such a nice ambience - mini Christmas lights, dim lighting, and lots of holiday green and cheer. The food menu selection was pretty small but they had a decent drink selection. We weren't very hungry so decided to go with the Spinach Artichoke Dip with Crostinis and the Chicken Champagne (had a sauce with mushrooms and cranberries plus a side with zucchini and carrots and a patty made with potatoes). Everything was delicious and we barely finished half of the dip. I also ordered this blue cocktail and it was very delicious. Sweet but not too sweet. Smooth but not very strong. For the dessert, we had the creme brulee cheesecake and that was quite fantastic. On our plate, they even used green, red and cranberry colored sauces to draw a Christmas tree on our plate. That was definitely a nice holiday touch! The waiters were very nice and attentive. We had a great time eating dinner here!

Hannah D.

Yelp
Do not go here for the food. My husband got a burger with bacon. The bacon looked undercooked, he questioned it, but ate it anyways. He had been SO SICK ever since. I hate the "pho" which tasted like bath water. Absolutely flavor. The staff was VERY kind and I have nothing but nice things to say about them. But the food was horrible. I realize there's not a lot of food options in this area but just know you might get sick.

robert s.

Yelp
menu was limited being a german theme wheres the bratwursts , the menu was limited , if you stay in the hotel there no where to eat for miles but there and fish and chips place which has super inflated prices . the hotel itself was quite pricey for a twin bedroom with shower, no frig , no tv, no coffee maker , nothing to.put your clothes in it was 270$. I'm 6'2 my ankles to my toes where off the bed the floor creak and the bed squeak, but it was walking distance from the lifts and gondola

Deep D.

Yelp
Food is average quality, but given it's essentially a touristy/ski-lodge food deal, you set your expectations accordingly. My goulash was totally forgettable. Although my wife's said (she said) tasted better. Kids' chicken strips were obviously the frozen kind. The food was actually better than the service. The waitress couldn't be bothered; had to get her attention to order food, drink refills etc and she definitely gave the vibe that we were interrupting her. Note to management: when you charge a set 18% gratuity (a concept I generally support), you need to provide a basic level of service - otherwise, you're just scamming customers.

Randy E.

Yelp
Very good food. I had the lamb shank. Service was excellent. Some other diner at our table reported their food as pretty good. In general stick with their most popular dishes like the lamb shank and the goulash and you should bevery pleased.

Scott H.

Yelp
Condescending server and overpriced food. I know it costs more to have food brought up here, but our server was not cool. Super frustrated with our table. Not coming back EVER.

Andres R.

Yelp
Bad service on Sunday. I went there on Saturday, the food and service were ok. On Sunday we tried to go again since there aren't many options around, they told us they were not ready yet and that they had clean up from breakfast even thought they were suppose to be serving lunch at that time 11:10 am. We went outside, they locked the doors. We waited for 30 mins and left I guess by Sunday they give up

Jacob M.

Yelp
The food was tasty yet nothing fancy, but after a day of hiking the generous serving size was much appreciated. Our waitress was attentive and quick, but the best service was when they realized that we had left a backpack (with wallets, phones, etc) under the table, the host ran halfway across the parking lot to catch us and return it.

Andy B.

Yelp
Nearly a disaster. My wife hated her meatloaf (crusty exterior, suggesting it was twice-baked meatloaf, covered in a gravy only a cow at its salt lick could love), my Hungarian goulash (which gets good reviews by others here) tasted like something from a hospital cafeteria, and my son's salmon would have been better "without the weird maple sauce". The desserts were fine, though. There aren't a ton of dining choices at Crystal Mountain, but Alpine Inn Restaurant is at the bottom of the list of the choices that are there. Better to go downstairs for a pizza or sandwich at the deli (but not the Reuben, which is a gloppy, sloppy mess) and head to the next room for a beer in the Snorting Elk Cellar.

SlapYo M.

Yelp
We enjoyed good unique service and food after a gorgeous day at the summit. The staff covered each other, so it was interesting to have multiple people cover our table, but they each knew what was going on with our table, so they didn't miss a beat. It was actually entertaining and they were all very nice. We had schnitzel and goulash. Both were awesome! We are looking forward to taking family back to visit.

Leighanna K.

Yelp
Convenient when staying at the Alpine Inn, slightly overpriced and just ok. We did the wine tasting, and that was satisfactory. I had the burger with chips - nothing special. We had the breakfast buffet the next morning and it was ok too. Service was a bit slow for dinner. The view is nice if you sit next to a window. The place seemed pretty family friendly.

Jaswinder S.

Yelp
Bad service. Wait was about 50 minutes for dinner - when we were the first one there at 6 PM. And the server had no clue she was in service industry - seemed like she was doing us a favor. Maybe because we were a party of 6+, where they auto add gratuity. Will not go there again.. ever!

Roger M.

Yelp
Enjoyed our first visit here. All the employees are friendly , accommodating and super attentive . The food are excellent . Great ambience

Kat K.

Yelp
One star for the deliciousness of the salad w chicken. The burger was tasty, especially if you like medium. I really can only tolerate well done hamburgers so I had to send it back...and that's where the lack of 5 stars comes in. I apologized for not being able to eat it. (I even tried.) ugh. But was approached & challenged by the waiter. He said, "well there wasn't that much pink" after I stressed 'well done, no pink' and then of course I had to wait at least 20 minutes for a refire. (Oh, and when I asked for no onions I was told "well, they're on the side" basically pick them off. Seriously?! Lol

Triking T.

Yelp
Sadly this is your only choice for Dinner when staying on the mountain. If you have any food allergies sensitivities do not eat here. Bryan the "waiter" who had zero social skills was very rude and does not know what it means to be gluten free. His solution is too bad order something else. I ended up with a modified Lamb Shank meal....that was suppose to be in tomatoe sauce and instead was served in a beef bullion cube broth that was very salty and obviously disgusting with lamb. Bad food, bad service and a steep price to boot. If you are staying here I recommend eating an early dinner up at the Summit Restraunt if at all possible. Otherwise eat anything from an ice chest or an energy bar, you will be much better off.

Peiran S.

Yelp
This place exceeded our expectation in all aspects, the service, the food, the deco and the ambience. We came here on a summer night, when there were only three parts in the restaurant . Probably that's why the service wasn't slow as stated in other reviews. Food was decent. We didn't expect that from such a restaurant that sits in the middle of nowhere. Fried Brie was pretty tasty. Entrees were satisfactory. The existence of desert already surprised us and the taste pushed the feeling even higher. The service and food we got would've deserved a 4- star at least if this restaurant was in Seattle downtown. I give it 5 star for the sake that it sit in the mountain and next to a gondola station.

Greg f.

Yelp
The food here is awesome. We had the tuna tartar, the crab cakes, Caesar salad, and lamb - and it all was delicious. The wait staff was attentive and respectful. I would DEFINITELY eat here again.

Carol B.

Yelp
We went to the Alpine Inn last Saturday afternoon, arriving about 4:15pm The young man who seated us brought lunch menus, then said he would bring dinner menus cause he said it was late enough in the afternoon. Dinner was supposed to start at 5:00. Waiter comes over & says "you're way too early" for dinner. Ok, he takes our order & he never bothers to come back. Someone else brought our food. We see & hear everyone talking about the "dance party" downstairs, including our waiter. They were too busy with the good time from the night before. No one ever bothered to come back to see if we needed anything. Finally, we were able to get our check. Food was terrible. We both had the brisket sandwich, that was loaded with gristle. The pasta salad should have been called an olive salad cause it was mostly olives. CB & JC

Lora F.

Yelp
We were here for lunch at around 1:30. Seating wasn't a problem but being served was challenging. A couple was seated after us at the next table but their order was taken long before ours. We waited so long my husband finally went inside to find someone to help us. Multiple people ended up serving our table: one to take the order, one to bring drinks, another to bring our meals, still someone else for refills. My husband had a burger and said it was fine but he did not get the pasta salad he requested; he received chips instead. I ordered the crab cakes which are supposed to come with avocado. No avocado anywhere on the plate. The accompanying salad also wasn't dressed and I had to request salad dressing. While business was steady I wouldn't say they were being run off their feet so the missing items on both meals should not have happened. Overall what we received was good and if we are in the area again I'd consider going back.

Chris A.

Yelp
Do you want to order a $31 steak and get a $3 piece of horse meat? Then this is the place for you. The 1st night we ordered the coho salmon "catch of the day." Mine was OK, but my wifes was raw. The 2nd night I had the worst steak I've ever ordered at a restaurant, including Denny's. In all fairness, we didn't try any of their traditional German dishes, each with red cabbage because a 3rd chance was too risky to completely ruin our stay at the resort. We had to drive an hour to Enumclaw to find a decent meal and salvage the dining experience of our trip.

Okku K.

Yelp
Decent food, slooow service. There are not many dining options at Crystal Mountain, nor are there any nearby towns to fall back on. So if you're staying at the resort, and you're not going uphill/upscale at the Summit House, don't have a kitchenette and want something a bit more gourmet than pizza/grill fare, then this is your best option. Our latest visit came during the summer off-season. Our daughters have dietary restrictions, so we were delighted that a ski resort joint offered to accommodate them, but we could definitely tell that they're not very experienced dealing with food restrictions, unlike, say, Seattle restaurants. We had to explain to two foreign-born wait staff what "gluten" means, and there were a couple snafus getting the kids' orders delivered properly. In the end, my daughter and wife had a tasty steak with mushroom chutney, though my pasta primavera was lackluster. We ordered gluten-free bread, which took 15 minutes to arrive. We were told it had to be "toasted" (uh, I suspect the applicable word here is "defrosted"), but my daughter was grateful for it when it arrived. The slow delivery was the norm on that evening: it took us two full hours from seating to departure (on a moderately-busy summer weekend evening), and looking around the dining room there were plenty of other families sitting there for a long time. Perhaps they ramp up their staffing during ski season, but I'd offer this cautionary note regardless: don't come here if you're in a hurry!

K Y.

Yelp
Obvious lack of competition. The dinner rolls are cheap store bought stuff. The butter comes in little packets. For $20-30/plate, come on. If you need to dress up your crab cakes with chili sauce I call them suspect. I had the certified angus beef, bacon & blue cheese burger. The meat was gray. No order taken as to how I would want it cooked. Apparently medium or medium well would be hazardous from this beef. The bacon was limp and flat as could be. Definitely not cooked to order. I left a large chunk of it unfinished. Was simply famished from a long day hike. The appetizer we wanted, a simple bruschetta was unavailable. My wife's dish had the shrimp overcooked and dry. The next morning, the continental breakfast was even worse. The little (and I mean little!) store bought muffins were dry as dry could be. Easy, basic things like fruit, were not available. I was told they had run out. The bagels served were of the cheapest quality. And where's the granola for the yogurt? How about a few fresh berries?! A little pride in the work could go a long way here. Would love to write a better review and I do hope they get things together. We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Crystal Mountain. The hike and views were great. The weather was wonderful. Wish there was food we could say the same about.

Yelp
Service was very friendly and attentive. Goulash was delicious! Spicy, flavorful, temperature and textures were perfect. So happy with my choice! My husband was really pleased with his blue cheese bacon burger, and he is picky. He said the bun, garlic mayo, bacon, and blue cheese combined made a super tasty burger. Cole slaw side was crunchy and perfectly dressed, though a tad bland. Bread buns were yummy. The bruschetta was good. I partook in the wine tasting. Decent sized pours of 4, 2 whites and 2 reds. Came with a small cheese, cracker, grapes, and nuts plate. Great value for $15! Atmosphere and view are amazing! We also had lunch here today. I could eat that gazpacho EVERY day. Chicken pesto salad and pesto-artichoke pasta salad were so tasty. We were so impressed. The summer salad also knocked it out if he park. I'm glad we decided to come upstairs after sitting down to eat downstairs. The bartender was the only one working, there was only one other table and 2 ladies at the bar. He seemed like he hated his life, and that serving us was only going to cause him more anguish. I'd rather tip someone who smiles and treats us well. Overall, food and service was great! We highly recommend:)

Yelp
Hamburgers were great. Coleslaw and Chicken Cesar Salads were awful. They were old and tasteless. The wait staff were excellent!

Yelp
Poooooor service. Very over priced food, which I could deal with due to the location, but there is no excuse for bad service. Our server was snippy and short. I can understand being busy (which they weren't when we arrived) but you can still be polite. Food tasted okay, but not worth the cost ($50 for water, a Caesar salad, turkey BLT and kids pasta). Would not recommend.
