Beautiful!! Great hike if your packing in light but if backpacking is something you are just now deciding to do but don't have the light weight equipment hikers use then you will be miserable. The scenery is AMAZING just on the hike up alone and just when you think it can't get any better, you see this......

I can only imagine how good it must feel to the animals that live here. This beautiful lake looks untouched from where I stood on the Iron Creek Trail. Very good job by the keepers of the trails and all the great people I met along the way. It feels so good to my Soul to visit these magnificent mountains. I get out of my car and step into Mother Natures house of adventure. And leave no trace or noise as a guest in this house. I would not call this a "hard" trail. I saw all ages hiking this trail paying attention to their footwork and wearing proper hiking gear. I stayed the night at Little Sawtooth Lake on Aug 16th and it was absolutely incredible. This is one of my favorite places on Earth and I will be coming back. Happy adventures to everyone.
