The best museum I have ever been to. The branding is excellent, all the posters, postcards, magazines. They get it. The exhibitions were so insightful, and a special mention to the lost and found collection, a really unique interesting room that also allows you to craft your own repair kits for free. Loved the alps sticker I got too! My favourite place in Bern!

Regularly changing exhibitions with very diverse and interesting subjects, varying from the mountaineering sport, its legends, and social/environmental awareness. The museum has multiple temporary exhibitions, some tucked away behind the bar and gift shop so keep an eye out. Also, the café is accessible without a ticket and highly recommended.

Very disappointed with my visit to this museum with a bold name! For the steep admission price, I expected a well-curated and informative experience, but unfortunately, the museum fell short. The exhibits felt poorly organized, with minimal context or explanation provided. There was little sense of narrative or curation to guide visitors through the displays, making it hard to appreciate the collection in a meaningful way. Save your money and head straight to Natural History Museum of Bern

Extremely unfriendly receptionist. She didn’t take the time to explain anything about the museum. We went to the exhibition about Greenland, and because of the lack of explanation we ended up in an exhibition about the alps we were not interested at all. I was expecting more from Swiss hospitality. I do not put one star because the museum seams nice. My problem is with the staff.

Admittedly, this review is only for the current exhibition about Alpine crafts. There are one or two good Interactive exhibits but on the whole I felt that I had paid admission to see a product display from Swiss manufacturers.

Google
Unfortunately, extremely underwhelming giving the bold name and steep price. This 'alpine museum' has a rather large restaurant, a large rotating exhibition hall, and a smaller exhibition room that was closed when I visited. The museum does not feature exhibits on traditional Alpine culture, sports, or development over the years . The temporary exhibition present was alright, but I read through every plaque and was complete within 20 minutes. For 18 CHF it's a bit of a waste of money - You're better off going across the road and paying the same amount to visit the outstanding Historical Museum of Bern, which has enough to keep you occupied for at least 2 hours.

We just visited the Einstein museum and this museum was across the street. We had the Swiss Travel Pass and the entrance to this museum is free. It is a small museum and display of Alpine related info. There was a special exhibition from North Korea which was interesting especially hearing the “scripted” positive remarks of the people and praising their leader.

Real miniature places. Gives the impression you are in the Alps. Organized in 3 spaces. A wonderful- supportive staff.

Yelp
I only had 15 min to walk around this museum and it was free with a Swiss travel pass. If you are into hiking and climbing and seeing Alpines, this is the perfect museum for you. There is a bunch of QR codes to scan and interact, looks interactive. I did not have time to try the QR codes. Next time! There is also a cafe at the museum. There were people enjoying themselves at the cafe.

Yelp
Small museum. Only go if you are interested in the exhibit they have. If not there's not much else to see... 2 floors.

Yelp
Much more than a cool museum with innovative expositions and exhibitions, the restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. Very friendly people and if you happen to come outside of the traditional meal times, they will try to find something to keep you going. A nice terrace in front.
