Alpsu

The second you see this gorgeous hotel set in the Alps, you're drawn in by its charm and beauty. We were just passing through on our way to see the highest mountains, and we spotted the Alpsu Hotel. Hotel guests were sitting outside under umbrellas, enjoying a cocktail. We walked inside the hotel and it was very welcoming. We used the restrooms and they were lovely. The hostess was very kind and she gave us pricing for a particular room which looked so beautiful from the pictures shown. We very much plan on returning to stay here!!!! ♥️

We was in a motorcycle tour 2 persons. 19.00 hour and we stop for accomodation. The Receptionist i think comes to the desk. We ask if it is free room. Yess we have. He dident want to tell the price. He comes out to see the nr plate on the bike and the Bike model. On the plate is no Country sigjn but he see HARLEY DAVIDSON. So from this moment we was ripped of he asked 160 CHF. I say on Booking is much cheaper. Yess but we have only big room now. By mistake he see my walet i had 5000 euro cash and he say : YOU HAVE MONEY WHY DO YOU DONT WANT THE ROOM? I ANSWERD: It doesen't mattet how much money i have or what bike i ride the 160CHF is more than on BOOKING the 118CHF. HE RESPONDS: WHAT IS GOOD IS EXPENSIF! I AM WONDERING IF I BUY ON BOOKING ITS NOT GOOD IF I PAY CASH AT THE RECEPTION IT IS GOOD? THIS TIPE OF HOUST / MANAGEMENT DISGUSTS ME!

Lovely little hotel, but if you’re a light sleeper I propose to ask for rooms toward the back of the building.

My daughter and I didn't stay at the hotel, but just had the buffet breakfast prior to heading off on a 10 day hike. We found the food excellent - muesli, cereal, fruit, great coffee, fruit juice, fresh croissants, fresh bread, jams, cold cuts and cheese - and only CHF 12.50 each - great value. Many thanks to the owner!

This is a lovely locally owned and staffed hotel 5 minutes walk from the station. Our room appeared recently renovated, was comfortable and clean with everything we needed including Netflix! The hotel has retained local charm and the staff were incredibly helpful and generous during our stay!

We spent 5 nights staying in Hotel Alpsu. Our room was at the back on the top floor. We had a split level bathroom (i.e. it was upstairs from our bedroom) so it might not have suited everyone but it was fine for us. We also liked the fact that we could access the back garden from our bathroom (only us and the owner's cute dog used it during our stay) so we could sit out of an evening. The modern room seemed recently renovated using (local?) soapstone and pine. The owners were friendly and it created a nice atmosphere seeing them and other family members looking after their grandchildren at breakfast. We ate in the hotel restaurant most nights and enjoyed sampling the many regional specialities. All in all a delightful stay.

We enjoyed a wonderful family meal at Hotel Alpsu. Our accommodating host was able to explain the menu to us in English and we choose to share the set menu which gave us a wonderful introduction to the food of the region. It was expensive but Switzerland is known to be so therefore not surprising and we would rather eat really special food out and do the majority of meals in our self catering apartment. Fantastic room on the top floor! The room is newly renovated in very good taste and use of nice materials. An unexpected solution with the bathroom placed at the loft with access to a deck and a small garden!|A nice touch to have old toys and other items on display in the common areas of the hotel. |Excellent food in the restaurant, capuns, accompanied by great service and friendly hospitality in a very nice and clean restaurant with great ambiance. |Very nice experience in this family owned and family driven establishment!|
