Hotel Alpsu

We stayed at the Hotel Alpsu in a triple room in May the night before starting our bike trip in Oberalppass. The room was clean and pleasantly decorated. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and were happy to store our bikes in a locked room across the street from the hotel. I'd stay here again in a second.

The second you see this gorgeous hotel set in the Alps, you're drawn in by its charm and beauty. We were just passing through on our way to see the highest mountains, and we spotted the Alpsu Hotel. Hotel guests were sitting outside under umbrellas, enjoying a cocktail. We walked inside the hotel and it was very welcoming. We used the restrooms and they were lovely. The hostess was very kind and she gave us pricing for a particular room which looked so beautiful from the pictures shown. We very much plan on returning to stay here!!!! ♥️

We spent 5 nights staying in Hotel Alpsu. Our room was at the back on the top floor. We had a split level bathroom (i.e. it was upstairs from our bedroom) so it might not have suited everyone but it was fine for us. We also liked the fact that we could access the back garden from our bathroom (only us and the owner's cute dog used it during our stay) so we could sit out of an evening. The modern room seemed recently renovated using (local?) soapstone and pine. The owners were friendly and it created a nice atmosphere seeing them and other family members looking after their grandchildren at breakfast. We ate in the hotel restaurant most nights and enjoyed sampling the many regional specialities. All in all a delightful stay.

My daughter and I didn't stay at the hotel, but just had the buffet breakfast prior to heading off on a 10 day hike. We found the food excellent - muesli, cereal, fruit, great coffee, fruit juice, fresh croissants, fresh bread, jams, cold cuts and cheese - and only CHF 12.50 each - great value. Many thanks to the owner!

Fantastic room on the top floor! The room is newly renovated in very good taste and use of nice materials. An unexpected solution with the bathroom placed at the loft with access to a deck and a small garden!|A nice touch to have old toys and other items on display in the common areas of the hotel. |Excellent food in the restaurant, capuns, accompanied by great service and friendly hospitality in a very nice and clean restaurant with great ambiance. |Very nice experience in this family owned and family driven establishment!|

This is a lovely locally owned and staffed hotel 5 minutes walk from the station. Our room appeared recently renovated, was comfortable and clean with everything we needed including Netflix! The hotel has retained local charm and the staff were incredibly helpful and generous during our stay!

We enjoyed a wonderful family meal at Hotel Alpsu. Our accommodating host was able to explain the menu to us in English and we choose to share the set menu which gave us a wonderful introduction to the food of the region. It was expensive but Switzerland is known to be so therefore not surprising and we would rather eat really special food out and do the majority of meals in our self catering apartment. Thank you for a great night Hotel Alpsu.

Arriving after a day of up-hill biking, I was offered free laundry service for my biking clothes... wow!|Room very clean, refurbished, and quite spacious. |Restaurant is famous for the local capuns speciality. And they are excellent. Fair prices and overall an unfortunately somewhat rare pleasure in a Graubünden hotel.
