It was a mix of really good and lacking basic functions. Really good lobby spaces, location is fantastic, close to great restaurants and walks, people are nice, huge windows, great views toward the Rockies, toiletries are nice, but have nuts, which is tough for many, beds are comfortable. Missing basics like thoughtful attention to multiple occupancy- such as the bathroom light illuminating the whole room through the glass decorative panel wall. The rooms all see to accommodate pets, which can be tough for allergies- unless there are dedicated rooms that guests just aren’t aware of- which would be great. As a person dedicated to blackouts, the biggest failure of the room and experience is that it is impossible to block the light. The traditional blackout curtain panels are missing in favour of a roller blind with gaps on the sides that let the sun stream in. The pic is from a really overcast day too- so it would be even earlier and stronger on a bright day- of which there are many in Calgary.|It’s very close to great shopping, U of Calgary, and Children’s Hospital- would recommend for visitors to university kids or Children’s patients families.
