Alt Wien Kaffee

I went here for my last meal in Vienna - wanting to have some Austrian style food. I particularly chose this place as they offer a vegan schnitzel. The serving was very generous and the potato salad with it was very nice. The service was efficient and very friendly.

It was an early Saturday morning, not many people on the street, As a tourist, My Vienna friend brought me to the area for buying something that locals would buy. We stop at Alt Wein Kaffee, A tall guy came and he seems to be the one runs the shop, I asked what are those light roast tastes of coffee best sold in the shop. He is a fast talker and quickly introduced us several tastes and promoting that he will give my friend a 10% discount if I bought something as he noticed my friend is introducing as well. I reassured with him when I told him that I will buy all the tastes he promoted and give my friend a discount. So I wrapped up all tastes and cost me a couple Hundred euros! My friend picked up one big bag of coffee she usually drink. However, the guy did not deduct 10% when he ran the transaction for my friend. I asked where is the discount he just promised me earlier to my friend? He has this creepy smile and said : oh I meant the next time she’s here! This makes me really uncomfortable for his way of doing business. I would have not to buy that many if he did not give my friend discount on hers! Mostly, when I got back home to US and weighted the bags of coffees, which all are short of weight that supposedly to be. That’s why I am giving out my negative rating here because I would never want to deal with dishonest biz owner like him. He can cheat customers first time, but he gets no biz from me and my friend as well as our friends circle anymore !

They have delicious chicken schnitzel. Tip is choicable. The inside is warm and good designed, big and spacious. Price is average. Service speed is not that good. We had to wait a long time dor a sauce and finally I got up and got it myself from kitchen.

Great place to buy coffee beans, they have a wide variety and also sell accessories for coffee lovers. The quality is excellent, but the customer service could be warmer, as the lady at the counter isn’t very friendly.

Goulash was good, and so was the athmosophere. Service was nice, until the waiter insists heavily and inelegantly on asking for a tip.

The staff was very friendly and competent. Had a super nice conversation to find an amazing specialty filter coffee. The flat White that I ordered was also very good. One of the best coffees I had during my stay in Vienna.

A true paradise for coffee lovers! Not only do they roast their own beans, but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The team is friendly, helpful, and always happy to share their knowledge. The owner is often around too, passionate about the craft and always happy to chat about coffee.The aroma is intoxicating 😍.

Best espresso I have had in Vienna! Good selection of beans and roasted really well. Plus, greatly appreciate the bar area and limited seating. Makes an introvert, like myself, very happy and comfortable.
