The main gent that I've been served by is super passionate about coffee and is always a delight to deal with. Prices are generally very fair, and the coffee is very, very good, if you're looking for more classic notes. I have yet to have a modern, funky, crazy lighter roast from them, but that may well be simply because I tend to stick toy the 12 euro and under bracket. Either way, it may not be the most interesting coffee I've ever had, but it is consistently good and the staff are a true pleasure to deal with.

I have been buying my coffee beans from Alt Wien for over a year now, and it never disappoints. I purchase beans for my mocha pot, AeroPress, and French press. I tend to prefer an Italian-style roast for my mocha pot, and they offer a good variety with various blends of Arabica and Robusta. They have various roasting styles, and their passion for coffee is evident. I occasionally stop for a cup of coffee at their small coffee area, and they consistently make excellent cups of coffee. Hands down, my favorite place to buy coffee beans in Vienna. They have an online delivery option too, which is very fast.

They have some very good coffee, e.g. Arabica gewaschen espresso ones (Indonesia, Columbia, used to have nice Bolivia...), some very acidic sorts and some super strong ones (over-roasted). The ones in the metal cylinders just behind the counter are super strong and if you drink those daily it's going to affect you strongly. My observation is that they mostly sell these ones as these are the cheapest ones. The ones in glass cylinders are more sophisticated and cost more. I tried several of those, but wasn't impressed. I found the ones on the left side shelves the best, but these are the most expensive and some are also very acidic. These are all small beans sorts and pale brown colour with nice but mild smell and taste.

Best espresso I had in a long time. Specialty coffee available, aeropress, V60 and such, as well as really nice mini sweets.

Very nice and knowledgeable barista. Coffee great as well. Didn't have any fancy fruity stuff currently, so can't say anything about that.

Well the best coffee in town I guess. Very professional coffee makers and the beans, machine and service are high scale. If you are a coffee fan you must go. Very reasonable prices and you can purchase high quality beans.

Great place to take a coffee break and get your authentic coffee beans in Vienna! The staff are very patient in recommending the drip coffee options and coffee bean. Got a drip coffee with strong notes of fruit bit without the sourness. Definitely got some good niche coffee beans.

Best espresso I have had in Vienna! Good selection of beans and roasted really well. Plus, greatly appreciate the bar area and limited seating. Makes an introvert, like myself, very happy and comfortable.
