I recently visited Alta Lake and had an amazing experience! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking, with crystal-clear water surrounded by lush greenery and mountains. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing walk, a quiet picnic, or even just to sit and enjoy nature. The trails around the lake are well-maintained and easy to navigate.
I also loved how peaceful and clean the area was — great for photography or just taking a break from city life. Whether you’re visiting Whistler or live nearby, I highly recommend stopping by Alta Lake. It’s definitely worth it!

Beautiful lake thatd perfect for water activities in the Summer, but it can also be a snow-covered wonderland in the Winter. Both seasons are good to visit. Strongly recommended if you want to step aside from the bustling Whistler village

Alta Lake is gorgeous!! A little chilly for swimming, but refreshing! If you have a paddleboard / kayak/ canoe etc....its a great lake for it! We went to Rainbow park to enter this part of Alta Lake. There is also a great Crepe stand to check out!

Nice park for swimming and kayaking. Launch for the kayak was easy with a sandy bottom. You can also rent kayaks and sup's. There are beautiful views of Whistler and Blackholm mountains while kayaking. It is important to note that our GPS took us to the north road to get to the park where there was no parking. We found the parking area on our own. You can see it from the drop off area but have to go around back onto the hwy to get to the parking! Crazy. When getting directions, type in Lakeside Park parking lot!
Enjoy.

Beautiful lake!!! We took our kayak and decided to follow the River of Golden Dream, it was spectacular. If you are comfortable on the water it is such a great afternoon. We made it to Green Lake and from there just called a cab. Great Adventure Afternoon

It's insanely beautiful, it's early fall and the trees are colorful, the weather is a bit chill but not cold, it's a nice walking distance from Whistler village, quiet and cozy spot to calm down and enjoy the nature, highly recommended if you are anywhere near Whistler. 💕😍

Just 10-15 minutes from Whistler village, this is a Great Lake for canoeing/kayaking. The beach is very small and not very clean for children to play. But the lake view and the mountains surrounding are gorgeous. Boat rental is at the entrance beside the beach with reasonable price.

Nice lake in Whistler with toilet facilities nearby. Would recommend a visit either by walking or cycling if in the area. Opportunities to boat and fish with rental companies too.
