This café provides a lovely experience; we went on a weekend, so it was full and took some time to find our seats. Anyway, the landscape from the cafe is beautiful. While sitting and dining with this view, the changing weather will be very pleasant. Now, let's talk about food. We order food that is recommended by random guys on the Map itself. Taste-wise, it's nice. Hot chocolate was not as worthy as suggested by the folks on Map. Overall, it was a good experience.

We literally crawled into this cafe after a steep climb back from Dolphin’s Nose, Kodaikanal. The middle eastern style food was tasty, refreshing and sumptuous 👌 Also the mountain top view from the dining area is breathtaking, can spend a couple of hours just looking at the view. A good hang out place 👍

This cafe offers a delightful experience with a cozy atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. The foggy atmosphere adds a magical touch to the dining experience! The combination of good food, serene surroundings, and the chance to spot bison makes this café a truly special place. The food, especially the falafel platter with hummus, fries, and fresh salad, is flavorful and authentic. Highly recommended for both food and ambiance!

I think this place is worth the hype. Location is stunning and food is also tasty. Ordered Falafal Plate and two people can easily feed on it. Their French fries are the crispest. Ginger lime honey. Lemon tea is must try. Music from different language in the background with nature are bliss . Overall must visit please.

The ginger lemon honey tea with that breathtaking valley view – there are no words to describe how peaceful and soul-refreshing it feels. It’s more than just a drink – it’s an experience. Located near Vattakanal Falls and Dolphin’s Nose, the café is famous for a reason. Great vibes, amazing food, and views that stay with you long after you leave. If you're in Vattakanal, don’t miss this. Sit back, sip slowly, and just take it all in.

If you are in kodai you are lucky because you can have food in hill top with breathtaking views of course literally you will be sitting in side the clouds. Here I personally enjoyed spending time with my friend. The foos are delicious. Price is reasonable. Love to visit again soon!

The moment you step in, you're greeted by breathtaking views—clouds literally float around you, mist brushes your face, and the sunlight plays peek-a-boo. It feels like you're dining in the sky. I came across this place after seeing a photo that made me crave hummus and chole bhature. With full confidence, I ordered chole bhature, only to be told it’s not available. That was a bit of a letdown. But the rest of the experience made up for it. The food we did get was absolutely delicious. I personally loved the aloo paratha—it was hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. We also ordered a chicken dish that, unfortunately, didn’t taste great. We brought it to the staff’s notice, and they handled it professionally, even deciding not to charge us for it, which we really appreciated. The ambiance is peaceful, and it’s the kind of place where you can sit for hours, just soaking in nature. Whether you’re a foodie, a traveler, or someone just looking to relax with a view, this place checks most boxes. If you’re in the area, definitely give Altaf’s Cafe a try—go for the view, stay for the food. Just be sure to ask what's available before ordering, especially for non-veg items.
