A hidden gem in the misty hills of Kodaikanal! Altaf’s Café isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a whole experience. I visited on a cold, rainy day and the atmosphere was absolutely magical. You get a breathtaking valley view wrapped in clouds, with the sound of raindrops and complete peace around. The café feels like one of those travel spots you randomly discover and then remember forever. I ordered hot chocolate and hummus with pita, and both were amazing. The hot chocolate especially — rich, velvety, and perfect for the weather! The hummus was creamy, well balanced with seasoning, and paired beautifully with fresh warm pita. Even the little details, like presentation and flavor, were thoughtfully done. There’s something incredibly calming about sipping a warm drink while watching horses graze outside in the misty mountains. It’s rare to find a café that blends food, nature, and emotion so seamlessly. If you're in Kodaikanal and looking for a place to unwind, eat, and just feel the moment, Altaf’s Café is a must-visit. This café provides a lovely experience; we went on a weekend, so it was full and took some time to find our seats. Anyway, the landscape from the cafe is beautiful. While sitting and dining with this view, the changing weather will be very pleasant. Now, let's talk about food. We order food that is recommended by random guys on the Map itself. Taste-wise, it's nice. Hot chocolate was not as worthy as suggested by the folks on Map. Overall, it was a good experience.

We literally crawled into this cafe after a steep climb back from Dolphin’s Nose, Kodaikanal. The middle eastern style food was tasty, refreshing and sumptuous 👌 Also the mountain top view from the dining area is breathtaking, can spend a couple of hours just looking at the view. A good hang out place 👍

I think this place is worth the hype. Location is stunning and food is also tasty. Ordered Falafal Plate and two people can easily feed on it. Their French fries are the crispest. Ginger lime honey. Lemon tea is must try. Music from different language in the background with nature are bliss . Overall must visit please.

In an area where good food is hard to find, this place is a lifesaver. The food is simply amazing, and the views are beautiful. The service was also great. I ended up eating here daily. The omelettes, in particular, are a highlight.

If you are in kodai you are lucky because you can have food in hill top with breathtaking views of course literally you will be sitting in side the clouds. Here I personally enjoyed spending time with my friend. The foos are delicious. Price is reasonable. Love to visit again soon!
