Altamont Court Hotel

Went to the restaurant, our order was fried chicken, escovitch fish and chicken alfredo with garlic bread...chicken and fish were fried nicely.....but the alfredo was awful, and that was not garlic bread, just regular sliced bread. The festivals were also not properly fried. The servers were helpful and pleasant. There is ample parking but the place could use a face lift - fresh paint and cleaner table cloth, etc.

Comfortable clean rooms. Rooms and bathrooms are small and overall feel is it is a little old but still quite nice. Bonuses are a gated parking area, pool and conference rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The facility is rundown, everything looks very dingy, there is an obvious lack of maintenance. The first room I was given was dark and musty and had dead bugs in the bathroom. I was given another which was in a construction zone there was constant hammering and drilling. To compound the issue the so called hot water was barely lukewarm. Their solar heating system sucks. Staff did not care and there was never an apology. To add insult to injury there was a tv the size of a postage stamp on the wall.

Easy to get to from the Knutsford Express Coach station. Pleasantly surprised as in our room was a fridge freezer not a mini fridge. We were also able to arrange transfer to the airport. Fantastic service from all staff encountered.

The room given needs a lot of updating and the hotel was not full to capacity. The customer service was very good from the front desk to the restaurant staff. They were polite and pleasant. The hotel itself is a basic bed and breakfast type of hotel. Somewhere to lay your head that is clean. The room I stayed in could possibly be one of the worst ones it wasn’t bad enough that I could be bothered to request to move and not worse enough to go through the hassle. The bed was not that comfortable and was old looking, the bathroom sink counter looked terrible with some discoloration, the hot water in the bathroom was Luke warm - upon leaving I saw a small dead cockroach. The pros the a/c worked, the tv and the refrigerator. The location is very convenient. Breakfast is very basic Jamaican option or continental, no fruits, you have to pay for a tiny glass of juice. It’s not the worst but if your budget allows there are nicer options around town.

I arrived around 11 AM and requested an early check-in but was denied by Shanae, who was very impolite and informed me the earliest check-in would be at 1 PM. I waited as the only guest in the lobby until after 1 PM. Then an American guest walked in and was immediately checked in and given a room while I was still waiting. When I asked why she was allowed to check in before me, I was met with attitude. Throughout my entire four-night stay, I consistently encountered staff with poor attitudes. The only time I was acknowledged was on the second day at breakfast—after I tipped both waitresses, who then treated me more pleasantly the following morning. It seems tipping is the only way to receive courteous service here. I want to thank Shoshana and one of the housekeepers, who were the only staff members that offered genuinely good service and made me feel welcome. The room was spacious and the AC worked well, but there was hardly any hot water. The area is not suitable for walking at night. This hotel has potential as a budget-friendly option if they improve their customer service, but based on my experience, I doubt I will return.

Nice clean hotel. Nothing fancy, but very comfortable, and the staff are great.

The best home away from home. Everyone is super nice and joyous. Made us feel like we are a family. Will always be my go to home while visiting Jamrock.
