Altamont Lodge Lake Wanaka

I've stayed at Altamont Lodge several times in the past few years and invariably had a good experience. As before, once again the hosts were very courteous and helpful, and the facilities first-class. This hotel is oriented toward families or other groups traveling together. Your room has bunk and single beds, bathroom down the hall, and a large shared kitchen and lounge.

We only stayed one night. However, it was a nice place with a friendly manager, who was very professional. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean, as were the bathrooms. The room was marginally on the small side for 3 of us. However, I didn't expect anything bigger for the price of the room, and it was perfectly adequate for our needs. I would recommend Altamont Lodge to others, and would stay there again if visiting Wanaka.

Very nice Lodge, with an incredibly spacious common area and kitchen, plus a hot tub too, which was a very nice surprise! The Lodge is located very close to Roy's Peak hike which is great, but not too far from the downtown area with restaurants/shops.

We had a lovely stay here, very welcoming service and positive experience. The wood cabin lodge look was super cute. Room is comfortable and have heating + extra blankets which we needed for a cold night. The shared kitchen and bathrooms are clean and tidy. Things are labeled for organization. Lodge had 12 rooms, which makes for an intimate stay. Would definitely come again!

Great trip and holiday. Friendly people in the lodge and managers. Clean facilities, with lounge, drying room and gear storage, which made the trip enjoyable.

Communal concept where you have communal bathroom and kitchen and living areas. Great place for meeting travelers. Unfortunately, room insulation was minimal so the noise transmission is pretty severe even with everyone walking and talking quietly. I must say the facilities are very clean, neat and well equipped. The place is recommendable.

The staff were amazing and I’ve never stayed in accommodation with such a high standard of hygiene and wow what a fantastic kitchen which was so well equipped with all you could ever need. I can’t recommend Altamont lodge highly enough. My grandson and I had a fantastic stay

The location is really close to One Tree Lake 🌳. Abt 400m away from here. Toilets and bathrooms are clean with powerful heater and showering water. Nice and spacious pantry for own meals preparation. Parking lots are available. Late check in is easy. Surely will come back to stay again whenever we are here.
