Altamont Lodge Lake Wānaka

We only stayed one night. However, it was a nice place with a friendly manager, who was very professional. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean, as were the bathrooms. The room was marginally on the small side for 3 of us. However, I didn't expect anything bigger for the price of the room, and it was perfectly adequate for our needs. I would recommend Altamont Lodge to others, and would stay there again if visiting Wanaka.

We had a lovely stay here, very welcoming service and positive experience. The wood cabin lodge look was super cute. Room is comfortable and have heating + extra blankets which we needed for a cold night. The shared kitchen and bathrooms are clean and tidy. Things are labeled for organization. Lodge had 12 rooms, which makes for an intimate stay. Would definitely come again!

Communal concept where you have communal bathroom and kitchen and living areas. Great place for meeting travelers. Unfortunately, room insulation was minimal so the noise transmission is pretty severe even with everyone walking and talking quietly. I must say the facilities are very clean, neat and well equipped. The place is recommendable.

Comfortable, clean and tidy accommodation. Communal kitchen, dining, lounge, shower & toilet facilities. Nice private garden for outside dining and all utensils, towels and cleaning items are provided. |The bedroom are comfortable ours had a double and two single bunk beds. |Lovely walk into Wanaka about 25 mins. Meet interesting fellow guest from around the world. |Great value if you’re on a budget.

The location is really close to One Tree Lake 🌳. Abt 400m away from here. Toilets and bathrooms are clean with powerful heater and showering water. Nice and spacious pantry for own meals preparation. Parking lots are available. Late check in is easy. Surely will come back to stay again whenever we are here.

Just what we were looking for. Reasonable priced accommodation with good shared kitchen. The lodge is a little out of the busy part of Wanaka but that made for a sense of relaxed environment where we felt at home from the moment we arrived. Clean and friendly with the lodge shared space creating opportunities to interact with other travellers

Lovely place! We felt very welcome. The host welcomed us well. Clean toilets and a very nice, clean and well-equipped kitchen. It was a luxury with the dishwasher.|We knew in advance that there was a shared toilet in the hallway and it worked fine. The room was clean.😊

My wife and I stayed one night between tramps. The Lodge is very clean and the shared facilities are well equipped. Great kitchen, dining and lounge areas that are supplemented by garden and outdoor sitting and bbq facilities. Comfortable bed. The only negative for us was the lack of active cooling in the bedroom- an issue when the day was 28 degrees and the night around 20. We would definitely choose to stay here again.
