Lovely place, amazing food (if you go on winter, their soup is a must). You need to book a table beforehand though but really recommended

We were there for lunch on a hot sunny day. When i booked online, I did not see an option to indicate we'd prefer to eat outside. I should have called, because we had to eat inside eventually. The schnitzel we ordered were somewhat good, but we had to wait an hour for them to arrive. They did not warn us, and we had to beg twice to finally get some bread to feed our starving children in the meantime. I did not find this to be a kid friendly place. Last but not least, they do not seem to accept credit card...

The food was good (but almost no vegetables), friendly staff and also the place is very cosy. But when we wanted to order the dessert, it turned out the table was reserved for other guests and we had to leave. They should have told us beforehand.

Amazing setting with very good food! You just need to keep in mind that when you book the early slot you need to leave after 2 hours. For us the 2 hours were unfortunately a bit too short. So we could not enjoy dessert anymore. That was a pity

Having spent nearly a week in this town, this restaurant seems to be a popular place to go. Good service and your classic German dishes with some modern twists. A comfortable atmosphere, decent local wine choices and a surprisingly long basement with different dining rooms. Worth a quick tour by the owner.

A very homy and cosy restaurant with a humouristic antique and pittoresque rustique interior. Good menu with many options: starters, seasonal suggestions, dishes with meat, fish or vegetables and desserts. Also German classics like different types of Schnitzel. Very family minded, good portions for fair prices and professional service. It seems popular, so can be busy at noon or dinner time (would recommend a reservation to be sure). We had the Hirsch Ragout, Pfanne & Semmelknödeln, all delicious.

Food is extremely well cooked to detail (e.g. the Riesling-Cheese-sauce). Service is very friendly. Currently, roadworks are taking place but the staff takes it with lots of humor.

Lovely surroundings and extensive wine list. Service was unfriendly, even though we speak German - maybe because we were foreigners dressed in shorts? The menu specifies that main meals will take 45 minutes to arrive because everything is "freshly prepared". Our meal did indeed arrive after 45 minutes, but "freshly prepared" it was not. Highly disappointing. After this review, the owner replied: "Next time simply eat outside these times." There will be no "next time." His/her tone was as rude as the staff's.
